In these trying times, it is hard to think anything will ever get better. We are all reexamining our recent past to see what, if anything, could have been done.

I think as things get more difficult, one tends to turn to their core values to get back, or even stay on track.

I have edged closer to my own core values. It helps to remind myself that everything works for the Greater Good. Not...everything good works for the Greater Good, But EVERYTHING.

I know when I hold true to the values in my heart, I will make the right decision. Regardless, I think we should pray for our country, and we should pray for our leaders.

One should never forget that our country is one of the best places to live, and we should show our pride by getting out to vote. There are millions who do not have that privilege, and subsequently don???t share that pride in their corner of the world.

We can make a bigger difference. God bless America.

why is this even an issue.. are you implying that somehow Obama's campaign is solicting illegal contributions? if they were.. why would they be stupid enough to exceed the known contribution limits? this sounds like some goofball trying to cause trouble..... and this is a wate of column space to even report!

How come when I order something online from most retailers, my NAME & ADDRESS MUST MATCH MY CREDIT CARD RECORDS EXACTLY?

It seems to me that the Obama campaign is either imcompetent with their online donation methods (in which case he's not smart enough to be president), or they are willingly turning a blind eye to these types of fraudulent schemes (not unheard of for Chicago pollitics) and in that case, someone should be going to jail for violation of federal campaign laws (on the campaign or the donors themselves).

Shouldn't these donations have rung a bell? A REALLY big bell. How many overly large donations like these have oozed through the Obumma fund razing people? I think they need to be audited as soon as possible. It might be a good idea to seize all funds until the audit is complete. We wouldn't want the Obumma campaign to spend illegal contributions.

What about the donation from IRAN AND AFRICA this OBAMA is one shady charecter. Are ASSOCIATED PRESS reporters taking cash and gifts from the OBAMA campaign as I heard.

Thanks for reporting thisinformation. I was starting to waver on my vote for McCain, thinking maybe BO was all his apostles claim he is, but because the MSM has been so remiss in their responsiblity to report the news, I'm sticking with McCain.

This letter was sent to the Obama campaign in June. At least you finally reported it, I guess. Some facts you didn't report:
Mr. Good Will listed his employer as ???Loving??? and his profession as ???You.???
1,000 separate entries for Mr. Good Will, most of them for $25.
In total, Mr. Good Will gave $17,375

The FEC has compiled a separate database of potentially questionable Obama campaign overseas donations that contains more than 11,500 contributions totaling $33.8 million. More than 520 listed their ???state??? as ???IR,??? often an abbreviation for Iran. Until recently, the Obama Web site allowed a contributor to select the country where he resided from the entire membership of the United Nations, including such friendly places as North Korea and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The latest Obama campaign filing shows that $891.11 still has not been refunded to the Edwan brothers, despite repeated FEC warnings and campaign claims that all the money was refunded in December.

The MSM is really doing the American public a disservice by not doing your job. Journalism is dead in the United States.

With this kind of story, the next couple weeks ought to be really interesting. No one is without a little dirt on his hands. The question is: Which democrat is willing to "take the Bullet " for this oversight ? Strange that Hillary and McCain and everyone else submitted, why did Obama not? I won't cry foul yet, but something is definitely rotten in Denmark.

Wow Obama is a crook? How surprising. The clown has provided nothing to refute any questions the American people may have. (i.e. Birth Certificate, Medical Records, Larry Sinclair, Campaign Funds, Associtation to Acorn, Associtation to Ayers, Support for Kenyan Election Riots, Murder of 3 people in his old church, Lawsuit that forced the U.S. into the economy problems we are having,......) The list goes on and on. This man is hear to destroy the U.S. And if questioned about it, will throw the Race Card. He is a fraud.

The Obama campaign is to be commended on their professionalism in this area. I say this from personal experience: I live in Mexico, and gave $100 online to the campaign last June. The Chicago office of the campaign called me up on the phone, an internatioanl long distance call, to ask me for a passport number so they could prove it was a legitimate donation. All that for one hundred bucks, I thought. But of course, it is just an example of their meticulous professionalism.

The Obama campaign should be commended for its meticulous care in making sure the donations are legal. I say this after I got a long-distance phone call from Chicago asking me for my passport number. I live in Mexico and gave $100 online in June. The people processing the donation then got my information and called me up on the phone. They were absolutely professional!

I really hope this reporting on the fishy 200 million in donations continue. The media seem far too worried about a facial gift certficate Sarah Palin received as mayor but could care less about Obama's contributions or his ties to ACORN and the mortgage crisis.

And there is the contributions coming from abroad.
