I call them Repig's because of their love of PORK.
If you can't answer a man's arguement, all is not lost; you can still call them names.
Ludvig - "Repigs". Oh please - are you 10 years old?
Worse, they are all unemployed college students.
I think it is past time for our children to take an interest in this election because the Bush crowd has created such an huge national debt that they will be paying for it well past your departure from this world!!! And now deregulation that McCain is a strong support of is sending our financial world in a tailspin. We need help and new ears and eyes. Unemployed does not equal stupid!!!
Does it not concern anyone that the next President of the United States may be elected to the highest office in the land by a bunch of young college students, the homeless and people that can't even afford bus fair to the polling station? I love my twenty year old son, but his judgment leaves a lot to be desired much of the time. He, as many college students, has never had to be responsible for paying bills or making real life decisions that affect anyone other than themselves. Now we are placing the future of the free world in their hands. Now that's scary! The others speak for themselves. Obviously not the wisest, most motivated and successful people. Times are hard all over but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to come in from the cold or a workaholic to earn bus fare. If this critical decision hinges on these votes, this country is in bigger trouble than I have imagined.
obama i think that obamas campaign should be improved hes really helping us,and i know you probably wondering why not cause he black its because i think the world would be better with him........................................................thats what i think and if you wont to vote for mccain thats you hes another one of bush he dont care about us
I never listen to people who obviously know less than me. Learn to speak the English language before you start telling Americans how they should vote.
Obama's potentially illegal donations amount to something more than $33 million. McCain's campaign has been entirely transparent about their donations and listed them online. Obama's campaign is not transparent in this way.
http://www.newsmax.com/timmerman/Obama_fundraising_illegal/2008/09/29/135718.html
The Newsmax article you reference is apparently the source of Isikoff's "information". He just cut and pasted without checking the facts. All contributions of all sizes to all presidential candidates are publicly available online at the FEC website. The notion that McCain disclosed his contributions and Obama refused is pure fabrication by Newsmax. All contributions are disclosed independent of the wishes of a campaign.
Obama That One is giving away military intentions. Exactly what a commander in chief should never do. Obama is not qualified to be President and tonight it seemed to dawn on him a couple times! (That's right there, obama .The next debate gets tougher yet!).
It's convenient for your running mate that Delaware's credit cards laws are lax... so maybe Biden might not be quilty of some unlawfull arrangements, after all. (We'll be watching!).(Thanks for the reminder!).
LET me think.....OH, YES...I think that these numbers at the poll MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, NADA, ZIP, ZILCH....when Gore and Bush were in the last weeks before the ELECTION...GORE held a commanding double digit lead and the rest IS HISTORY..... When people actually get in those voting booths, there's always that last...WHAT IF???? AND THAT'S WHERE MCCAIN WINS HANDS DOWN....and dictator Osama is dumed to a life of being a MARKED MAN!!!! IF he's lucky...Osama NEVER answers a question DIRECTLY...should have been a boxer...get at dodging and weaving...just has no punch to ANYTHING HE SAYS!!!!McCain/Palin '08
NC2Blue you should take your own advice and read the paper. Obama in touch with what is going on, that is a joke, when he should of been doing his job trying to figure out a way to solve this financial mess, he wanted to debate, he wanted to be in front of the cameras instead of working behind closed doors. Oh and your comment about surounding himself with experts. If those experts aren't reporters, I don't know what you mean. I heard him quote that the war in Iraq was not going very good because of what he had heard on CNN. Are they his experts. The Generals were saying we needed to increase our military strength for a short period of time to win this war. Did Obama listen to experts, NO. He has shown time and time again that he is only interested in being infront of the camera. He should be called "photo op obama", because that is what he is about. Caring about you and me, thats a joke, he cares about his hair and how good he looks more than you. Send him to Hollywood where he belongs. He is a good actor, but president he will be a joke.
Since you like to read, read about what he accomplished while he was a professor at law school, read about what his other professors said about him, read about his Muslim past and how quickly he dumped his Christian church when it became politically incorrect. Follow your own advice and start reading about the man you think will make a good president who has to get homeless and convicted fellons to vote for him. Start doing your homework.
I belive you just opened my eyes with your great response. Obama does want the cameras on him, wants to be the center of attention, and wants everyone to love him. I have been reading about his life, and he was an outsider most of the time. He is brilliant in taking the black and white and suiting it to both sides, but can we trust this good-will hunting person to control Iran since they downed our planes today? It was kept out of the news.
Obamabots, and especially indianaeric: If you download the FEC contribution data from Obama's campaign, import to an Access database (Excel spreadsheet can't handle it - too many records), and actually examine it, you'll find thousands of rather "odd" entries. Many show multiple contributions on the same day totalling in the hundreds or thousands. Some have foreign addresses; many have no address at all, or are otherwise questionable. The FEC, and others, have identified thousands of such entries totalling around 38 million dollars. The FEC has asked Obama to supply the information, to recategorize the donations, or to refund them; to my knowledge he has not complied.
This issue is not just some right wing fantasy, and it reflects very badly on a guy who claims he wants accountability in government. Either the Obama campaign has been monumentally irresponsible in its record keeping, an open invitation to monumental fraud, or they have something to hide.
If this was the McCain campaign you'd be screaming bloody murder.
There's no way I'm going to examine spreadsheets filled with information I already know: mainly that all campaigns accept "big money" but Obama is the ONLY campaign in history where a significant % of its donations come from people like you and me. Well... like me and the 50+% of people who are now supporting him. I guess you are part of the 22% who are still supporting the president. Good luck with that.
To NObamaNoWay: You can import into Excel if you use a VB macro. See:support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;120596
Or better, you can use Excel2007 which has a 1M line limit per worksheet so the Obama database spans 2 worksheets. Access works too. My comments were directed specifically at Isikoff's article. The statement that Obama's small donations are not publicly available is simply false and it is easy to find the database. Isikoff apparently just cut and pasted someone else's "research" without checking. I am not a "bot" of any sort and your presumption that I am is insulting. Let's keep this civil and rational. If the Obama campaign or McCain campaign has engaged in nefarious activity in fund raising I would certainly like to know about it.
The presence of some odd entries given that there are 1.4M contributions is not surprising. The millions of American citizens living abroad are perfectly within their rights to contribute to a political campaign, so a foreign address does not necessarily indicate an illegal contribution. If you have specific evidence of illegal contributions, contact the FEC. If you want to share the results of your personal investigation, please do so and be specific. I would be interested as would others. If you want to point to evidence that others have uncovered, please do so and be specific so that others can find it.
I meant to write "...download the FEC contribution data FOR Obama's campaign..., not FROM. I went to the original data.
B. ACORN Obama is an extension of fraud by intent and calculation made posible to perpitrate by a news media that has taken side early in this campaign season, and can not recover.
B. ACORN Obama has some ACORN tricks up his sleeve to play in the midst of his version of Americans Suck First (the DNC campaign!).
The long ugly battle between Hillary and B. ACORN Obama was all about who could best wage the Americans Suck First campaign. ACORN tricks were not needed as Obama had the news media spellbound! Hillary was Old News.
B. ACORN Obama can not divorce himself from his party which has brought us to a terrible financial situation as a news media must play faithfull prostitute to B. ACORN Obama and try to convince the American people it was cause by Republicans.
It is A DNC screw up of the highest order! No suprize from the party that believes Americans Suck First! The party of B. ACORN Obama.
Obviously, Newsweak didn't like my retort - And how dare you using Ludwig Van Beethoven as you moniker!

The Repig's are getting a little "TENSE" after reading the Poll Numbers, Advice to the Pig's from Dr. Steve T.,take a Double Shot of Maalox, chase down with Fox Kool-Aid and please have a Relapse.
Is that why McCain rec'd numerous letters from the FEC wanting more disclosure about his campaign donors? Why did McCain have to return over $4 million dollars to his donors? The man is as crooked as Pat Buchanan's dick!
If McCain returned any money, it is because he is honest.
Obama returned money too, so that makes him just as honest as McCain. Right? Your a complete moron. How much is the GOP paying you for blogging? I hope it's worth it.
My patriotism or birthright isn't for sale.
How much did they pay you, eh? 30 pieces of silver, perhaps?
I interpret Totally Sober, you must be a friend of Bill's. signed Steve T
The GOP is grasping at straws. They have nothing substantive against Obama, but boy are they good at making up lies. This has been a leading Karl Rove tactic for years, and if America falls for this again we should be ashamed of ourselves. Not to mention the obvious fact that this is all a smokescreen to keep the focus off of the fact that Palin and her Alaska associates are in contempt of court for refusing to testify in the Troopergate hearings. After Nixon and Clinton, Americans are to some extent jaded, but really, would you want a VP who refuses to attend hearings in her own defense, and instructs her employees not to testify? That smells like guilt. It surely doesn't give the impression that she has done no wrong and has nothing to hide.
This year, the GOP offers you an angry old man and a woman who, while personable, is desperately uniformed about national and international issues. Both of them are far right politically. McCain used to be a maverick, but since 2004 he's voted 90% with Bush. McCain's policies are not original or reformist, despite how he's tried to co-opt Obama's popular message of change. Please go to the websites of both of the candidates and read their platforms. Obama's Blueprint for Change has more good ideas than McCain's plan. Compare them yourself. Obama's basic premise is that tax dollars should be spent to make America stronger and to improve the lives and well being of our people. For example, he uses education programs to train a new technology workforce, contributing to energy independence, creating jobs and improving the economy. When you read McCain's plan you will find no over-arching design to get America back on track. Instead you'll find more tax cuts for the wealthy, de-regulation of the health care industry, and a stated intent to overturn Roe v. Wade.
I'm a Republican. Although I embrace some forward-thinking social values, in the past I've rarely voted Democrat. My thinking was that since Republicans grow robust economies, by voting Republican I'd be endorsing a plan that would grow wealth for our nation, and then we'd be able to afford social programs. It was a good strategy for a couple decades, but I have to say that the tenure of W. Bush has changed my mind. Not only is there nothing fiscally responsible about today's GOP, the insidious alignment of the party with religious intolerance has really turned me off.
On the other hand, the intelligent luminous thought of Barack Obama has ignited my passion for politics and my patriotism. I want a President who puts America first and can get the economy back on track. In my mind, values voting takes a back burner when we are faced with a meltdown of the economy. It is time for a change, a real change. The Republicans have controlled the Presidency for 28 of the past 40 years, but they have fallen down on the job. The Democrats have a stellar candidate this year, and I am voting for Obama.
this person has posted this numerous times
Is Nins short for nincompoop?
You are a Republican in your dreams.
I have voted Republican in every election since Ford-Carter, when I voted for Carter out of protest at the hideous travesty Nixon made of the Presidency. Before that, I voted for Nixon. This year will be my first Dem ballot since Carter. Not all Republicans are willing to carry the GOP flag down the path they are currently taking. I'm a Republican, but like a good American I am also a free thinker.
Furthermore, I think it's interesting that instead of discussing the issues I raised and defending the ideas and the honor of your candidate, you resort to name calling to try and devalue what I have written. Maybe you can't find enough good to say about McCain/Palin, but you really should try, because the independent and undecided voters are going to look at your comments and think "How lame."
You just like voting for the worst of the worst.
Right McCain/Palin you can't get any worst than that!
You are a member of the countrys largest hate group, the DEMOCRAT party. Vile , stinkey, hate filled people. Now get back in your moms basement.
Dear Gator, even though I object to the direction the GOP has taken, I would never refer to all Republicans as "vile, stinky, hate-filled people," as you just referred to all Democrats. Shame on you! How very un-Christian.
Also, I think it's interesting that instead of discussing the issues I raised and defending the ideas and the honor of your candidate, you resort to name calling to try and devalue what I have written. The Republicans have not taken you anywhere. You were bottle fed and lead by the Democrats.

Are you referring to the same Dems that are doing nothing in Washington now?...And havent done much since they have been in office...They manage to go on vacation just in the nick of time before having to decide on a energy plan...They planned on dragging the $700 billion plan until the public seemed to be threatening there very existence..Skagsy Pelosi, Bufoonery Frank and the rest of the incompetent Dem buffoons are the cause of this do nothing bi partisan crap thats going on up there...Bufoonery Frank: " Fannie Mae and Fweddie Mac are in no need of wegulations or investigations in them cooking their books...The housing mawkets need to include the lower and middle class, wegardless of their income status"...Well Mr. Frank what say you now?...Is it time to regulate?
NEWS FLASH!!!!! They AREN'T lies! Scary huh?

Obama is getting a bump out of this because people are not being reminded of the whole history where the economy is concerned, and who did what when. Call it bias by omission. The media simply says that the economy is Obamas strong issue, but never discusses the facts in detail. Further, who had a majority when is rarely relevant. If the simplistic Party In Power model were true, then the Democrats would not have needed the House Republicans when they tried to pass the bailout bill, as Democrats have the majority in both houses and there is no threat of a veto. In theory, they do not need the Republicans to vote at all. In fact, something like twelve (12) Democrats from Barney Franks own banking committee voted against the bill. Obviously, it is not so simple and the media does the voter a disservice by doing little more than reinforcing the error. A similar argument would be to say that the economy appeared to be doing fine until the Democrats took over control of Congress and the power of the purse, then it tanked. As an aside, the media also misleads regarding the Clinton economy when they fail to mention that it also ended in a recession, requiring the first round of Bush stimulus checks immediately after he took office..
Do Obama and the Democrats deserve a lift in the polls as a result of the financial and mortgage problems? The answer from history is a clear NO. Here's the lead of a New York Times story on September 30, 1999:
"Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending" [link below]. That's 1999 folks. Clinton Administration, I believe.
Here's the lead of a New York Times story on Sept. 11, 2003:
"The Bush administration today recommended the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago. "[see link below] The Democrats killed the reforms.
McCain said in co-sponsoring the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190:
"If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system and the economy as a whole. The Democrats killed the Bill.
What was Barney Frank and fellow Democrats saying at the time of these attempted reforms? According to reports, Representative Barney Frank(D-MA) claimed of the thrifts :
"These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis, the more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."
Representative Mel Watt (D-NC) added of the reforms "I don't see much other than a shell game going on here, moving something from one agency to another and in the process weakening the bargaining power of poorer families and their ability to get affordable housing." [ See Community Reinvestment Act, link bel
You are so right. People will not investigate anything, or accept the real truth. Obama and his campaigh staff are right in the middle of the failed financial institution mess. The news media is controlled by radicals and terrorists that hate America and want it destroyed. And, the liberal suckers just follow them along believing everything they write.
Your right people won't investigate McCain because they are just as stupid as you are.
Two architects are giving presentation to the property owner competing for a new building project. The existing building is lack in space and shows the sign of foundation sliding.
Architect O: We brought our floor plans and elevation renderings. With new structure system, the new design should eliminate the problems you have in your existing facility. And Joy here is our senior technical guy; he will perform quality control and make sure everything goes smoothly.
Architect M: Well, we kinda brought a plan. Actually, it???s a copy of the existing building??? but at least we are proposing different window types and different wall colors so I won???t call it a copy. And see my cute design assistance? There was a construction site next to her house, and she assembled some Ikea furniture before, so she knows construction.
Owner: It doesn???t sound convincing.
Architect M: How dare are you judging my design. I have 30 years experience. And look at the other guy, he has a weird name, his license must be fake!
The idiots are really coming out of the woodwork.
Yes, you are!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!
Senator Obama has received money from small donors like myself who have donated $25.00 maybe $30.00 a month over the course of his campaign. Senator McCain is jealous, desparate and old. His answer to everything is "I know how to win the war." He's a war-monger. But guess what? Over the next month, small donors like myself are going to donate even more money to Senator Obama because we believe in the leadership he can provide our crumbling Nation. Palin is disgusting! She overshadows McCain at every event and she has her own agenda, not his. As a woman, I'm embarrassed by her. Senator Hillary Clinton has class, she's intelligent, and she was a top notch first lady. She is someone we can be proud of and look up too. There were plenty of other Republican women of clout that McCain could have chosen other than this air head Palin.
He has received big money in little amounts from the radicals and terrorists of the world. Are you one of those?
Prove it!
You are a woman, but not a lady with any intelligence. Strong women always embarrass the weaklings!
Right onbcraw,f like your post. keep it up and we can run these vermin out of the country. I will keep o donating to accomplish this.
Please..... If you don't know who Obama is by now....... he's not the one with the problem.
We know Obama very well, but idiots don't want to see the light. They have their heads up Obama's ass and can't see anything.
Your the one with your head up McCains ass, and you like the smell of his ***, thats why you and McCain spite out *** from your mouth everytime you talk.
Reading comments like the one lurkswithin below is almost as frightening as listening to McCain's sorry VP pick Palin accuse Obama of "palling around" with terrorists. What an ugly display of desparation (Palin), what a dissappointing display of sheep like ignorance (you), and what a indefensible willingness to spew lies and half truths to the American people (Republican Party).
If you're reading Newsweek then clearly you are capable of reading other things and performing other activities such as research to help form a fair and balanced position of your own. (Right now you sound like a poor imitation of some right wing radical anti-muslim, anti-black, anti-democratic group of idiots.).
While you're educating yourself - why don't you pick up an actual paper. Guess what - the economy is in the toilet right now... and we don't know what happens next... and this is scary and important and real. My brother lost his job (in a regular job so no golden parachute), my parents want to retire next year (that's out), my 5 year old nephew was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (can you say pre-existing condition), and the money I had in a 529 plan for my daugther has lost 30% of its value (and she is a college sophmore and needs the money now!). These issues won't mean anything to you, but I'm pretty sure "Joe Six-Pack" is feeling the pain too (wink, wink).
Want to know why Obama is winning? Three reasons: 1) he actually understands that the economic issues I listed above are what are more important to Americans than some random, pereripheral, inconsequential association; 2) his personal intelligence and willingness to surround himself with experts and think ahead to how we handle thiss, and 3) he is an adult.
I suggest you grow up too.
The truth really hurts, doesn't it. And, it is called negative campaigning when the truth is told. What is negative about warning the American people of the truth.
So lets start hearing the truth about McNasty, There's pelnty of dirt to go around.
