It's too bad that God supports Democrats because they care about people first and not corporations and greed first!

Both of these candidates collecting hundreds of millions of dollars and we have people without health care and seniors that cannot afford their perscriptions. Something wrong with this picture.

After reading this, I donated another $25 to Barack Obama.

Stop and take a good look at what and who Obama represents. People like "Good Will" of Austin, Texas who is a fake. It is a mystery how he could have gotten over 200 million from poor people. Is it possible questionalble sources are funding Obama's campaign with contributions through his web site? Is it possible that William Ayers group is sending individual $200 contributions adding up to over $2,300? Do you want a radical as our president? Why did Obama go back on his promise to take federal funding? There are many unanswered questions about him. If elected you will be sorry.

Check out the photo's of the students chanting Obama slogans, dressed with black Tshirts and camy pants. Reminded me of 1940 Germany when the youth were being recruited as part of the master race. Well now it is 2008 and they are being recruited by Obama followers. Is this what we want the US to become. This cancer was removed along time ago and it has come back. Time to remove it again. Time to vote for a true American hero, one who knows the difference between right and wrong, one who is more concerned about your financial future vs one who likes to be infront of the cameras. Time to vote for change time to vote for John McCain.

  • Posted By: h512 @ 10/07/2008 6:50:27 AM

Are you not concerned about the funding that is keeping Obama awash in walking around money? What if he is elected and he was funded by people who supplied money to him under names like "Good Will" of Austin, Texas? That doesn't make you question his campaign's honesty? You will be sorry if he is elected president.

Enter Your CommentIs Lee Co. Florida Sheriff Mike Scott a Neo-Nazi skinhead?

    He sure looks like one.

I'm frightened to know people like him are "protecting" me and my family.

Lee Co. Florida Sheriff Mike Scott plays the fear card at McCain rally - UNPROFESSIONAL.

Mike Scott, you are a disgrace to law enforcement. RESIGN NOW

Reading comments like the one lurkswithin below is almost as frightening as listening to McCain's sorry VP pick Palin accuse Obama of "palling around" with terrorists. What an ugly display of desparation (Palin), what a dissappointing display of sheep like ignorance (you), and what a indefensible willingness to spew lies and half truths to the American people (Republican Party).

If you're reading Newsweek then clearly you are capable of reading other things and performing other activities such as research to help form a fair and balanced position of your own. (Right now you sound like a poor imitation of some right wing radical anti-muslim, anti-black, anti-democratic group of idiots.).

While you're educating yourself - why don't you pick up an actual paper. Guess what - the economy is in the toilet right now... and we don't know what happens next... and this is scary and important and real. My brother lost his job (in a regular job so no golden parachute), my parents want to retire next year (that's out), my 5 year old nephew was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (can you say pre-existing condition), and the money I had in a 529 plan for my daugther has lost 30% of its value (and she is a college sophmore and needs the money now!). These issues won't mean anything to you, but I'm pretty sure "Joe Six-Pack" is feeling the pain too (wink, wink).

Want to know why Obama is winning? Three reasons: 1) he actually understands that the economic issues I listed above are what are more important to Americans than some random, pereripheral, inconsequential association; 2) his personal intelligence and willingness to surround himself with experts and think ahead to how we handle thiss, and 3) he is an adult.

I suggest you grow up too.

Quite frankly I still don't know who Obama is and why does he have so many ties to radical extremists.

  • Posted By: lurkswithin @ 10/07/2008 1:42:36 AM

It is all starting to unravel for Obama. It is just a matter of time and he will be exposed for what he is. Just a puppit for the muslim nations and terrorists organizations.

One of the reports going around concerning his college days is just outstanding. It seems that the so called Barry Obama who was broke and working his way through college at occidental in California was able to go on a world cruise in 1981, spending much of the time in Muslim countries....including Pakistan where he just so happened to stay with his roommates family. He then returned to America and immediately enrolled at Columbia in New York.

Where did this money come from?

Now after graduating from Columbis he moves to Chicago to work at a $12,000 per year job as a community organizer.. He then meets his friend Antoin Rezko (a Syrian) and who was supported by the Arab-American business Association...Barack (no longer Barry) now enrolls at Harvard ....You DO NOT JUST ENROLL AT HARVORD....and again where did the money come from???

After graduation he goes back to chicago and goes to work for Davis, Miner, Barnhill and Galland who just so happens to represent his friend Rezko's company.

Rezco was Obama's first major financial contributor who held a fund raiser in which gave Obama his funding to run for US Senate race in 2005. That same year Obama buys a house for 1.65 million dollars...half of the asking price. He purchases the house from guess who.?
His friend Rezko. And get this....rezko's wife on the same day buys the empty lot next door and has to pay top dollar for it.
Where did all this money come from? By all rights and means Obama should be paying off some $200,000 in student loans that he had accumilated...yet there seems to be no trace of any student loans.....so who paid for Obama to get his law degree....who presented Obama to Harvard for enrollment...

How about the report from the London times saying that a mutual aqaintance of Barack Obama and Rezko just happened to LOAN rezko 3.5 Million dollars just 3 weeks before the properties were bought....This mutal friend was Nadhmi Auchi an Iraqi billionaire.

Now look at Valeri Jarrett , Michele Obama's boss, who is a Iranian. Whom also Barack Obama has selected as his chief advisor and who Obama does not make a move without her consultation.

How about Robert Malley who was sacked as Obama's advisor when he was found to be having regular meetings with HAMAS......
Do I have to mention Obama's 20 year association with his wildfire preacher who hates the United States and spews sickness and ill-health to all Americans....

Obama is nothing but a Muslim Puppit.

Now don't forget that in his interview with George Stephanopoulos that his religion was

MUSLIM.... which he tried to cobver up as a slip of the toungue....wow what a slip that was.

Follow the money trail and you will find it all has ties to some muslim organization or affiliate.

Barack Obama has an evil agenda and is the most liberal senator in Congress. The terrorists want him in power, this much is clear from the donations he is receiving. And are we really comfortable with Nancy Pelosi becoming vice president should something happen to him? Her approval rating is worse than President Bush's!

Obama's record, that which he makes known to us (since he is hiding so much), makes it clear that he has a radical agenda. Even his views on babies born alive after botched abortions are considered radical by his colleagues. I was horrified to read an article in the Washington Times on this today. For the truth on his cruel attitude toward these defenseless babies, see this link: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/sep/22/infants-who-survive-abortions/

The GOP is grasping at straws. They have nothing substantive against Obama, but boy are they good at making up lies. This has been a leading Karl Rove tactic for years, and if America falls for this again we should be ashamed of ourselves. Not to mention the obvious fact that this is all a smokescreen to keep the focus off of the fact that Palin and her Alaska associates are in contempt of court for refusing to testify in the Troopergate hearings. After Nixon and Clinton, Americans are to some extent jaded, but really, would you want a VP who refuses to attend hearings in her own defense, and instructs her employees not to testify? That smells like guilt. It surely doesn't give the impression that she has done no wrong and has nothing to hide.

This year, the GOP offers you an angry old man and a woman who, while personable, is desperately uniformed about national and international issues. Both of them are far right politically. McCain used to be a maverick, but since 2004 he's voted 90% with Bush. McCain's policies are not original or reformist, despite how he's tried to co-opt Obama's popular message of change. Please go to the websites of both of the candidates and read their platforms. Obama's Blueprint for Change has more good ideas than McCain's plan. Compare them yourself. Obama's basic premise is that tax dollars should be spent to make America stronger and to improve the lives and well being of our people. For example, he uses education programs to train a new technology workforce, contributing to energy independence, creating jobs and improving the economy. When you read McCain's plan you will find no over-arching design to get America back on track. Instead you'll find more tax cuts for the wealthy, de-regulation of the health care industry, and a stated intent to overturn Roe v. Wade.

I'm a Republican. Although I embrace some forward-thinking social values, in the past I've rarely voted Democrat. My thinking was that since Republicans grow robust economies, by voting Republican I'd be endorsing a plan that would grow wealth for our nation, and then we'd be able to afford social programs. It was a good strategy for a couple decades, but I have to say that the tenure of W. Bush has changed my mind. Not only is there nothing fiscally responsible about today's GOP, the insidious alignment of the party with religious intolerance has really turned me off.

On the other hand, the intelligent luminous thought of Barack Obama has ignited my passion for politics and my patriotism. I want a President who puts America first and can get the economy back on track. In my mind, values voting takes a back burner when we are faced with a meltdown of the economy. It is time for a change, a real change. The Republicans have controlled the Presidency for 28 of the past 40 years, but they have fallen down on the job. The Democrats have a stellar candidate this year, and I am voting for Obama.

Where is the article about Joe Bidens longstanding relationship with the credit card industry lobby? Is that what you call looking out for the middle class?

The link below contains a purported list of the top 25 in Congress who got contributions from the folks at Fannie and Freddie. Obama is listed third, after Dodd and Kerry, even though Obama is just a junior Senator. Obama is followed next by Clinton. Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi are on the list as well.

We should pray that this man gets elected. We'll be in trouble if a dangerous, ill tempered man like McCain and his equally dangerous "doesn't think the VP is part of the executive branch and wants to expand that power" Palin gets in. Obama's campaign returned the money. No foul, no harm.
