I hardly think it is fair to call Caldwell a conservative evangelical, for one he is a member of the United Methodist Church and sympathetic to some of it's left leanings and believe me that is far from conservative.
So stop trying to trick unknowing christians into thinking that Obama is anything other than he is which is a snake, or a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Everyone of voting age should read these two books written by Obama, 'Dreams of My Father' and 'Audacity of Hope'. Don't buy them, get them from the library before they are removed from the shelves.

I am a Catholic pro-Life white Republican woman. I am voting for Obama.
People forget that BOTH Obama and McCain have been pro-Choice. McCain "flip-flopped" on this issue in 2004 when he started voting 90% with Bush. Prior to 2004 McCain was pro-Choice, and he even called Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell "agents of intolerance" (which in fact they were). Since that time he has stood on a stage with Jerry Falwell, praising him. So it is impossible to know what McCain actually thinks on this issue. Is he pandering to the religious right when he vows to overturn Roe v. Wade? What is really in his heart? How would he act if he were elected? Would you get the conservative McCain you see now, the liberal leftist McCain from 1999-2004? These inconsistencies disturb me. I know there is such a thing as political expedience, but the end result is that I can not trust McCain. Nobody knows his real views on abortion.
Furthermore, I think that Obama's position on abortion and many other issues is considerably more moderate than is generally assumed.
To all of the conservatives out there who think that Obama is a flaming liberal, I would like to remind you of what he did when he was elected President of the Harvard Law Review. The Law Review President gets to name ten individuals to write articles for the Review, and these ten people also get to control the content of the publication. All of the minorities and the liberals thought they finally had it made, that Obama would appoint ten left wing editors. Instead, Obama appointed three conservatives, three liberals and four moderates. That year the Law Review was critically acclaimed as the best run and best written Harvard publication in decades.
So when he wins in November, conservatives don't have to freak out. Obama is a centrist and will appoint a balanced cabinet full of active people who will really get things done. This is exactly what our nation needs in this time of economic crisis.

The Free and Equal Elections Coalition (FREE) and the Columbia Political Union are pleased to announce that a Presidential debate will be held this coming Sunday, October 19th, 2008, on the campus of Columbia University.

It's amazing to me how so much can be said to distort the Obama ties and NOTHING is said about the McCain Palin ticket. I realize the media has "dumbed down" the nation but folks had best to wake up and take a real good look at the "hockey mom" and her spouse. "TODD" was an active member of the AIP and that organization wants to make Alaska an independent nation. Is that AMERICAN?

I know exactly what he means when he says Obama has heart. He has relayed that to many of us. That is what drew me to him in the beginning. It wasn't hype. It was not fear. It was a feeling of genuine Hope for our Country. I guess the word is Trust. I cannot say that about McCain and Palin. Add to that a true intelligence that will represent us well to the world. I cannot, in true conscience vote for anyone but him.

There is no way a conservative can back Obama. Certainly not a Christian conservative. With Caldwell it's about power and money. Obama is the most statist candidate ever. His record on abortion is well known. If Caldwell wants a project, let him crusade for reducing black illegitimacy, multi-generational welfare, and crime. These are results of Obama type programs. At least Calwell should come out of the closet and everyone he is a liberal. Or better yet, he should resign from his church and pimp for Obama if that is where his heart is.

The problem is that people professing the "Christian" faith are not true Christians who abide by the Christ like doctrines. "Thou shalt not kill" doesn't say it's ok in case you declare war. People need to think for themselves instead of going along with the popular. What about the....Do not testify falsely against your neighbor....especially if you are saying that they have weapons of mass destruction.

Take some time and do some research and you will find that the Taliban had used Iraq as a "haven" for their terrorist hiding and conspiring. Have you forgotten how horribly the Iraqi people had been treated under the thug Saddam Hussein? Americans think that every country on the globe should be squeaky white and clean just like them. The fact is that there is no such thing. Thou shalt not kill refers to murder and being a false witness refers to seeking to misrepresent for the purpose of covering something. They did have weapons of mass destruction try looking up the term..A Wmd is a weapon that causes wide spread death, destruction or biological damage..Saddam had plenty of biological, and even used it on the Kurds..Saddam also bragged and led the world to believe he had begun nuke capabilities also..Which Israel helped to set him back on..Waiting for Iran to make nice and decide to let the IAEA in on their "electricity" program is a sign of something bad.....Using the bible as a way to say none can stand for whats right is stupid...It also states in the Bible to FIGHT for whats right and to defend...Not cower and hide and wait for the threat to go away or grow....Letting Iran build something devastating, knowing about it, then sit idle and "watch and wait" as Obama wants to do is a sin in itself.

I don't think any of us have really found out the truth about either McCain or Obama. Most of the voting opportunists in this country are only looking at two candidates that they think can get in the White House rather than taking the time to find out who else is running in this election - Independents, Constitutional, Green, etc. What we all must realize is that Congress is responsible for all the decisions that are made in this country, uless you are George W. Bush.

Of course this man supports Obama. He is exempt from paying taxes and Obama has and will vote to raise taxes to keep Christians in their place! Where are Mr. Caldwell's treasures? On earth or in Heaven? If I wanted to I could call myself a Christian or a Muslim or a Jew, but that does not make me either of these. I personally know several Christian leaders who do not even believe Jesus is God! I beg or you, please look to your Bibles for the truth. God supports our rights since conception (not abortion like the democrats). God supports families and not gay-rights as the Democrats have in the past. Obama has always supported the Democrats and will continue to do so. Without God's Blessings we are in for a rough ride in this country.
