Let???s put aside the fact that Obama supports the annual culling of more than a million babies or even trying to save the life of children born alive during a botched abortion??? I don't understand how any God fearing Christian could think of supporting a candidate who would expose himself and his wife to twenty years of vitriolic hate speech in a ???so called??? church. He even took his two little girls there for their entire lives where they received a weekly indoctrination of anti-American, anti-White, and anti-Semitism rants week after week. If Barack Obama was a Christian or even just a decent man, he would've taken better care of his family and took them to a God fearing church where they were teaching the love of Jesus Christ rather than a hatred of their fellow man and God???s people. But he failed on the most sacred trust that God could give to a man, taking care of his own family. God help us all if this person is handed the keys to the White House. If that's all the better he took care of those closest to him that he loves, what makes you think he'll take better care of the rest of us whom he does not even know? Open your eyes Christians... before you find yourself supporting a man because of his skin color rather than the content of his character.

It is so obvious that comments like this are race driven and done without much investigation. If you want to know who Obama is, don't listen to the media, ie., FOX. Search the internet and read everything you can, conservative and liberal, alike, before you start spewing the same old crap that the MCPalin camp has been doing.

Abortion? Who cares. How about the 300,000 Iraqi civilians killed during the war? I never hear a whisper from any GOP zombie about that. One last thing. Do any of you zombies consider a fetus to be human, even when it has gills? That's one stage of an embryo.

Pssst...How many Iraqis/humans were killed during Saddams reign?...I seriously doubt WE are the sole cause of all the hundreds of thousands of lives YOU claim lost in Iraq... If you feel that way about America, maybe you should go fight for the "right" cause. Im sure the insurgent(your friends) can custom fit you for their "freedom" vest.

i-live-2-ride you are such a Hypocrite. You talk about judging a man by its character. When your whole blog tryes to condem Obama for his so called support for abortion and the church that he attended. First off you do not know this man personally you know him for what he is protrayed in the media. So you can't really judge Obama's character. I don't know what church you go to but I know as a Christian a sin is a sin in Gods eyes. I to do not believe in abortion but I also believe in human rights. The right to choose what is right or wrong. The gift that God gave us. I am tired of Christians pointing fingers and blaming and judging. It is not our job that it is Gods job, our job is to teach and show the love that God has given to us. So rather than posting a negative comment about our possible future president why don't you pray that who ever is appointed leads us out of this mess that our last president put us in.

Are pro lifers for all life or just against abortion?

I am a democrat used to be republican. I am against and actually detest abortion.

But when one considers who to select as the next President, all life must be taken into account, not just some. How many people are likely to die under a President.

From 2001 to 2007, the republican???s controlled the entire government., that is both Houses of Congress and the Executive branch. During that time when they had the reins, they did essentially nothing to stop the massive numbers of abortions. But what they did do is unjustifiably invade another country, a country that was almost totally controlled at the time with our inspectors going anywhere and our planes in the air. Tens of thousands of people have now been slaughtered as a result of this invasion. I believe these people count as humanity too.

Yes, I ask how many people are likely to die under a President. Right now Bush???s numbers are very high and that does NOT include abortion.

John McCain, being a one dimensional thinker (condemn, threaten, attack) is NOT simply more of the same, he is actually worse. Bush actually thinks and gathers facts before he acts. Bottom of the class, can???t get the words right McCain does NOT and in our current world, that is dangerous.

I'm just tired of hearing from those that have no clue. How did that vote go to invade Iraq? Oh, thats right Democrats voted for it also. Oh, so our inspectors were going wherever huh? maybe you should make sure and tell that to the inspector I know that simply stated the Iraqis refused to allow him into a weapons building that they wanted to inspect. Yes, if we want to defeat anyone at all we'll all join hands and sing songs and then everything will be fine? Sounds like Al Gore's plan if he had been President on 9/11.

I'm equally tired of hearing from those who are clueless. MOST legislators who voted to allow the President to declare war, did so after believing his lies that he would not use that power until all other avenues had been followed. While they are guilty of naivety, most of them never dreamed we would be at war a few days later. And, let's not forget that Senator Obama was smart enough to vote "no" - time for some brains in the White House again!

Blah, blah, blah. One day we will figure out why the media panders and is 'in love' with Oprahma. Until then, get on the bike. The largest and most extensive voting manipulation in the history of the United States is taking place, in my opinion.

Typical ignorant rant from someone who indulges in name calling and labeling. The anti-intellectual bias is truly scary. We claim to value education but we want our leaders to be dumb. Makes no sense to me but I suppose that there is a certain comfort in not being bright. Then the world can be summed up in simplistic slogans and code words. George Bush and company have handed AL Queda a victory in the sense that our panic about terroism put us into a "war" that never ends and cost us billions of dollars while they take ordinary items and use them to make bombs. They'll never win but we're too stupid and stubborn to leave. By the way, why did McCain I'll fight for a hundred years slink out of Michegan with his tail between his legs. Sorry I forgot too complicated a thought process for you to handle.

      • Posted By: mcdeere72 @ 10/06/2008 7:59:03 AM

Who was the one that said something about name calling and labeling and then states someone doesn't have the intelligence to understand something simple? Hmmmm, interesting approach.

thehappyamerican, that means that I could question you about your associations with a person when you were 8 years old. So, if I find out that you were 8 years old and standing in a criminals living room, can I arrest you?

    • Posted By: mcdeere72 @ 10/06/2008 7:44:39 AM

I find this claim so funny, Obama SERVED ON A CHARITY BOARD WITH THIS GUY. Do you really think he was eight years old and served on a charity board? I highly doubt this. The acts this man performed were donewhen Barack was eight years old. So get the facts straight before you start making claims.

As I read this, I have come up with an idea for an Obama tv ad - "I am an elitist" would be the title. I envision scores of people (like myself) who are in front of the camera and declare, "My name is X, I gew up in the South Bronx and graduated from Cornell University, I now work as X - the McCain folks consider me an elitist." Then there are frineds of mine: "My name is Y, I am from Philly and grew up in abject poverty. I have an undergrad Ivy League degree and I am also an attorney. Today I do "B" - the McCain folks consider me an elitist." My name is "B" I have an Ivy League degree. Today I

It is clear that Rev. Kirbyjon Caldwel was simply mesmerized by Obama eyes and voice as he says "There was something about that look in his eyes, and the confidence in his voice, it was just like ??? man." thats why he is supporting him without looking into Obama???s philosophy and beliefs. How can he support Obama when he advocates the killing of unborn children. Can pure Christianity mix with murder? Oh he was disappointed by President Bush??? failure to bring about the revival he was hoping for as if revival will come from politicians and from Washington. Im not a Pastor but I know that revival comes from the Holy Spirit moving in the hearts of men and you expect it least to happen among politicians. Presidential hopeful Obama can be clearly seen for who he really is but Rev. Caldwel is a pastor who now simply cannot recognize wrong from right. Christianity is not primarily about MBA of PhD degrees or the good schools you go to or the many rich and influential people you associate with but rather it is the wisdom, boldness and obedience to God???s Word as exemplified by the fisherman Peter and the many unschooled disciples of Jesus Christ who amazed the rulers of that time and continue to amaze generations of people since then including the founding fathers of America.

Why would a black pastor support someone who promotes the slaughter of millions of black babies?

Why do black ignore a real black presidential candidate named Alan Keyes?

foma98, you cannot be a bigot either can claim Christianity. You cannot say, "I hate my brother," and think you're going to see the Father. Many Americans hate Obama because of his race, and his success. Jealousy is not an attribute of the Father. If he is a Muslim, shouldn't he be cast from the religion since many say that for 20 years he attended Dr. Wright's church. Get the lie straight.

  • Posted By: foma98 @ 10/05/2008 7:35:27 PM

How can Caldwell say Obama has Christian ethics and American Values? You can not have Christian ethics and be for abortion or have a Muslim faith (where is the news reporter to correct what I just wrote). Also, my idea of American values do not include comments like Americans are a bounch of angry people clinging to their religion and their guns.

I remember back when we Decmocrate vote Regan into office, and he was a Republican. What does that say about all Decmocrate? Black-Americans or White-Americans, it's not about a friend, it's about who is good for us as Americans, who care about what we need. Leave the religious beliefs on homosexuality out of it, everyone believe what they believes. I have very good friends who are gay and who both know where we each stand on the subject. I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman as God stated. And I believe that their beliefs are between them (gays) and God who judges all. Let stay with the problems of the living here in this mess we all have voted ourselves into and now need to really take a look at who we'll vote into office this time, and does that person really have we as Americans best intrest in his planing of rebuiling the USA.

Do you know who were the only ones to leave the USA the day after 9/11 when all air space was closed?
Yes, you guessed right...Bin Laden family....approved by whom? and why?
"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."

I disagree. He is more likely voting with his heart as he did before. The problem is, once in the White House, it is no longer "heart" that can make decisions. The world is tough and good faith is no answer to defend our interests and safety. He will be just as disapointed in Obama should he win.
