You say you have the facts. The glaring truth is Obama is a dangerous person to put in charge of the United States of America. The blatant ignorance of the masses amazes me. No one is listening to his deep, deep roots and connections to Ayers. Obama planned his campaign in Ayer's living room. Ayers is a radical liberal who felt no compunction about bombing the Pentagon and Police Headquarters, to make a point. "A man is known by the character of the company he keeps" and Obama has so many shady characters that he is closely linked with it is appalling. He was mentored by Rev. Jeremiah Wright who is a racist hater of whites. No true minister of the gospel representing Jesus Christ on earth would use his pulpit as a platform to forward his own hate agenda. But that is precisely what Jeremiah Wright did and Obama's own admission is that this man is a part of his life. He married him, baptized his children and is a aprt of his life. You cannot sit under Wright's racist hate mongering without believing it. Any sane person would have left after only one sermon. Obama's affiliations with Saul Aulinsky and John Pfleger who are also racist haters of white America and their connections to Louis Farrakan, all lead to one very strong possibility. Obama is being primed and tooled to slither into the White House to then wreak havoc on the United States of America. His half brother in South Africa is also attempting to overthrow the South African government and Obama is back and forth on the phone with him. Why not just put Obama and the Black Panthers into the WHite House and let them destroy America, because that is exactly what they will do.
You cannot sign any bill that cuts off funding for a war you created! Obama and Biden did say that we are bombing civilians and that there is mass genocide going on in Afghanistan and Pakistan, so they will go in there and stop it. They want to do in Afghanistan and Pakistan exactly what George Bush did in Iraq where there was also mass genocide. They are idiots who have no concept of what it takes to run a nation and administer a war.
Obama is a dangerous man to put in the White House and if it is change America wants, they will get it with Obama, but it will be a change they will never forget for he will destroy this nation.
He is not qualified, equipped, or even capable of running this nation, unless we want to continue to make subprime loans to minorities and make this a nation divided by race, not united by common love and shared goals.

Did you hear Wright's whole sermon, or just the parts Fox news wanted you to hear? This guy served in the Marine Corp. The speech was inflammatory, however the message wasn't hate for White people, but was making the point that government was flawed but Jesus is not. Fox took certain inflammatory parts out of context to make it look racist. See for yourself.

The is he says (McCain) and she says (Palin). Its time for a change in the Whitehouse. And if you really hates Obama that much cast your vote for the sane, shame and the same well McCain is your man.

Absolutely "the empty suit" can and will be president!
I have an idea of what the military is all about and yes...I will vote for Obama.
I am tired of seeing my firends come home in boxes from a war that we got tricked into and
McCain would just "keep the camp fires burning"!

A few months ago.\, I attended a funeral of a 23 year old soldier killed in Iraq. All I could think of during the service was that he died in a war we are in due to a LIE. would he of died if we were at war in Afghanistan? maybe, but the truth is, he died in Iraq, in a war we have no business being in.

Is Jim F talking about the same media that has FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, and The Wall Street Journal in the tank for McCain? Or is there some other media I am not familiar with?

There is plenty of media for both sides in the US. The whole 'liberal media' thing is just victim politics from conservatives who cant accept the fact that there are intelligent people in the world who actually disagree with their ideology.

I guess some folks will never be able to really put their country first. If you've live in he United States for the past 8 years, you would realize tha the Bush Administration has taken the U.S. to its lowest level of respect ever. In all repest (economic, our status as be number one in top world power.. After experincing this I would think any red bloded American would be able to put aside party and race for the betterment of our Country. However if that not possible, go on a vote for McCain, be cause poor people are use to being poor they are not the ones who will be blowing their brains out because they have lost everythin.g

Anyone remember Vietnam? The arguement for staying there as long as we had was "the region will become destabilized and communism will take over"..........at least the Vietnamese had the nuts to fight on both sides .....the reason we left....the Chinese gave us a courtesy call and said, "get out...we're coming". To bad Iraq doesn't have it's own China eh? Amazing how much war happens in that region and yet they're all a bunch of pansies. What are we doing defending a bunch of losers that won't fight for their own country?

McCain is not Obama's problem. OBAMA IS OBAMA'S PROBLEM.

The media has to work full-time covering for the far-left radical and trying to redefine what he said.

Oh..... he didn't actually mean "clinging to guns and religion" in a negative way.

This is a case of liberal elitists covering for a far-left liberal elitist.

Debunked and un-used. Now let's talk about witch hunters and Keating's Lincoln Bank and the 560k given to Cindy Mc.

I think John McCain is the epitome of the 'tell any lie that might stick' mentality that is a notorious tactic of his party. It is disgusting and pitiful. Unfortunately for McCain, the public is not as stupid as his party would hope. I think it is another example of his being out of touch with today's reality. Doesn't he realize that with the world of information available at our fingertips, we can easily check any claims made? And then when the polls show that no one is buying the spin and lies, he and Palin just continue to spew the lies that have been shown by numerous sources, including voting records available on the Senate website, to be completely false. I think he is a sad, pathetic old man who has no sense of self worth other than the title he carries. That is what drives him to seek the highest office in the land, not a genuine concern for the plight of everyday working people.

Biffmonster... I don't see anything wrong with people who have committed crimes being forced to work during their stay in prison. Would you rather set them up in a luxury resort? You commit the crime, be prepared to do the time. In my opinion these people gave away their rights when they decided to take the rights away from the people they hurt.

    • Posted By: Biffmonster @ 10/07/2008 3:54:18 PM

Blackcourt.....I have zero issue with prisoners being made to do hard labor....Hopefully you read my comment in it's entirety....What I have an issue with is our governement ensuring that the privately owned prisons have ample employees/prisoners to help ensure these privately owned prisons are profitable...that's the point....not whether guilty people in prison should or shouldn't work. Lobbyists made these changes happen....lobbyists made the world of privately owned prisons and they also are the driving force behind mandatory sentencing....do you see where these initiatives lead to?

Mr. Obama to me was wise in stating that he would not throw the first punch, but will finish with the last punch. I'm pretty sure that every real - not fake like the "I was a Dem until Obama" crowd - Dem knew that the swift-boat, old-school discrimination sink was going to get tossed in the campaign fray - without any issue economic or otherwise. We just didn't know when or by which person. It was witch-proof Palin, on the command of "I won't swift-boat" McCain and it was this week. It is awful to see Mr. Obama sink to their levels - but he said he will get in the hardest (Keating) punch to avoid the Kerry, Dukakis fate. sad he had to do it. But their is a difference between swift-boat and truth. Keating (Lincoln Bank), Hagee, Perez and Palin are the miserable truth.

Comment: They need to stop mud-slinging and say what they can do for the country. What needs to be done is put GOD back into HIS rightful place. This country was built on "IN GOD WE TRUST" and that is what we need now. We need a person in Washington that will seek divine guidance and not self glorification. Yes this country is going in the wrong direction, but what is the change that either one has. They say CHANGE, but does not give us their plan.

obama is a socialist and a chicago political bully. If the media wasn't spending 24/7 to keep in the campaign he wouldn't even be on the map. Healthcare for everyone???If you haven't noticed that's what they have already been doing and California is BANKRUPT!!! Been to the DMV lately??You want the government taking care of your health???Unfortunately it appears that most of you have already drunk the koolaid.

    • Posted By: AskPlus @ 10/07/2008 2:15:34 PM

Your opinion is desparate. You're calling him socialist - why? Are all Dems socialist? Or is that your defination of not selfish and not cruel?

      • Posted By: valark @ 10/07/2008 3:42:54 PM

Taking money from one group of the population and giving it to another to make everyone more "equal" is the very ideal of a socialist concept.

What is the big deal with free heath care? I was a military brat as well as my 2 siblings. My family enjoyed free heath care due to the fact that my father served in the military. my Sister had 2 operations, my brother had psyrosis and I was a daredevil....Everything from colds to broken bones were all taken care of by military hospitals and none failed...no one died from the care we were provided.

That's just my family...how many hundreds of thousands of military families enjoy these benefits and when was the last time you heard military families complaining about the health care benefits they receive while in active duty? (veterens sadly are another story) But these are facts people, pull your heads out of the sand and recognize that not only is the governement fully capable of handling health care (as they've proven for thousands of soldiers and their families) but they've been doing it for many many years....for more years than most hospitals have even been around.

Fact of the matter is, I can still gain access readily of my medical records from the day I was born up until the benefits expired when I was 18.....If I try to do that today, well, the gas alone would kill my efforts.

This is real people....Think for just a moment about this comment, think of all the military personel and their families that you know. Isn't it true they enjoy that benefit greatly? Not to mention House and Crongress as well.....Amazing the 700 billion dollars we gave away could've provided this health care for every man woman and child in the U.S., rebuilt our roads and bridges AND paid for our childrens college. Isn't it about time we actually got something back for all the money they take from us?

It is irresponsible on the part of both candidates to be groveling in the mud at this point. Unfortunately with the memories of Nixon's successful tactics of planting untruths and using operatives to smear and destroy opponents it's politics 1.01. In my humble opinion, to only use segments of a sentence is an insult to both parties. Sen. McCain wins the sleaze award this week.

Gov. Palin can be excused on the grounds of innate ignorance. Her Troopgate debacle shows she has a just a smidgen of Dick Cheney in her. Sen. McCain must be illustrating that his cabinet will include the mentally challenged. He couldn't have thought she would be of any intellectual value. If he is elected, she will be a loose cannon.

In the debate tonight, McCain is going to be dishonorable - again. Last debate, when Mr. Obama was trying to bring up Mr. McCain's lie about nukes and transportation through Arizona, he was cut off by a lying McCain. Hopefully this time he's knows what to expect. Expect cheap attacks, that mostly fail. Ayers, Rezko and Wright have been either debunked 1000 times - and/or forgotten - except by the crazy right-wing-nuts. But, the Rep ticket's Navy, Keating, Economy, Energy, Bridge, Stone-walling, Bail-out and Foreign Policy lies are all being looked into and "vetted". Sadly, all his past "imperfections" are true. Now the Washington Post is looking into McCain's real terror ties, and the Times is pulling up his Navy records - or lack thereof. And MSNBC just trounced Palin and McCain on their religious beliefs. Hit them pretty hard too.

But isn't it fun to watch the Reps keep on with the Ayers, Rezko, Wright mantra?

Comment: Stop slinging mud and start saying what you will do for the country. The first thing that needs to be done is put GOD BACK INTO HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE. The American people need to stand up and be counted. Politics need to be put aside and truth needs to replace politics. TURTH WILL SET YOU FREE.

McCain and Palin can't sell their platform because even they realize that they have no substantive policies to present which differ significantly from those of the Bush years.

So instead they rely on instilling fear and hatred of somebody who is "different", a philosophy that is consistent with the history of the extreme right of the GOP. They are all about morality, but care nothing about ethics.

Conspiracy theory to tag onto that as well...America, sadly has built itself on the backs of slaves or near slavery. First it was the Africans shipped here, that was finally broken and eventually it became the Chinese, after that it was the Mexicans. Now, the immigration laws are pushing Hispanics back across the border....do you think we're going to finally come clean and do all the hard labor ourselves? Thinkn again...the privitization of prisons married with the mandatory sentencing laws (Made to make sure all get equal time for equal crime, even though, like finger prints no 2 crimes are alike) help ensure our new era slaves wear orange jumpsuits to do the hard back breaking labor of tomorrow. You may think that's ok, until you're also caught up in some inane charge and suddenly you're the one in orange and doing hard labor. Average per hour cost of prison labor is something like 13 cents per hour...you do the math. The PRIVATELY OWNED PRISONS can then submit back to our governement bills based on todays labor rates and become hugely profitable....Maybe it doesn't happen to you or me (maybe it does).....but what about our children? Then we could afford them massive tax breaks...sound familiar? Look it up, read into it. Our Civil liberties are being molested and we need to stand up like those brave (Sometimes crazy) people of the late 60's and 70's and protest what we don't agree with and demand what we want.

Troops are troops no matter what rank. The leadership in the military are troops as well. Comments about bombing villages, killing civilians, etc..are disapproval of the troops, same as the guy on the ground with gun or pilot with the bomb. Just goes to show that the writer of this article AND Obama have no idea what the military is about. Still think this empty suit can be Commander-in Chief? Bah!
