He said that he wanted to make everyone equal! Is America ready for Socialism? The Iranian president, Ahmadinejad, said today that he is glad to see the end to capitalism in America!!     Under socialism a ruling class of intellectuals, bureaucrats and social planners decide what people want or what is good for society and then use the coercive power of the State to regulate, tax, and redistribute the wealth of those who work for a living. In other words, socialism is a form of legalized theft.

    The morality of socialism can be summed-up in two words: envy and self-sacrifice. Envy is the desire to not only possess another's wealth but also the desire to see another's wealth lowered to the level of one's own. Socialism's teaching on self-sacrifice was nicely summarized by two of its greatest defenders, Hermann Goering and Bennito Mussolini. The highest principle of Nazism (National Socialism), said Goering, is: "Common good comes before private good." Fascism, said
    Mussolini, is "a life in which the individual, through the sacrifice of his own private interests??realizes that completely spiritual existence in which his value as a man lies."

    Socialism is the social system which institutionalizes envy and self-sacrifice: It is the social system which uses compulsion and the organized violence of the State to expropriate wealth from the producer class for its redistribution to the parasitical class.

    Despite the intellectuals' psychotic hatred of capitalism, it is the only moral and just social system.

    Capitalism is the only moral system because it requires human beings to deal with one another as traders--that is, as free moral agents trading and selling goods and services on the basis of mutual consent.

    Capitalism is the only just system because the sole criterion that determines the value of thing exchanged is the free, voluntary, universal judgement of the consumer. Coercion and fraud are anathema to the free-market system.

    It is both moral and just because the degree to which man rises or falls in society is determined by the degree to which he uses his mind. Capitalism is the only social system that rewards merit, ability and achievement, regardless of one's birth or station in life.

    Yes, there are winners and losers in capitalism. The winners are those who are honest, industrious, thoughtful, prudent, frugal, responsible, disciplined, and efficient. The losers are those who are shiftless, lazy, imprudent, extravagant, negligent, impractical, and inefficient.     Everyone of voting age should read these two books written by Obama, 'Dreams of My Father' and 'Audacity of Hope'. Don't buy them, get them from the library before they are removed from the shelves.

    From 'Dreams of My Father', "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."

    From 'Dreams of My Father', "'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."

    From 'Dreams of My Father', "There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white."

    From 'Dreams of My Father', "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

    From 'Dreams of My Father', "I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

    PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE TO BE HELD SUNDAY AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY

    The Free and Equal Elections Coalition (FREE) and the Columbia Political Union are pleased to announce that a Presidential debate will be held this coming Sunday, October 19th, 2008, on the campus of Columbia University.

    ALL SIX of the Presidential candidates who appear on enough state ballots to acquire the 270 Electoral Votes needed to become President are invited. They are as follows (listed in alphabetical order by affiliation):

    Constitution Party Candidate: Chuck Baldwin
    Democratic Party Candidate: Barack Obama
    Green Party Candidate: Cynthia McKinney
    Independent Candidate: Ralph Nader
    Libertarian Party Candidate: Bob Barr
    Republican Party Can John McCain

    The Columbia Political Union will present the debate from 8:00pm to 10:00pm in the Altschul Auditorium, located at 417 International Affairs Building. The debate will be moderated by Pacifica Radio's Amy Goodman, the host of "Democracy Now!". CSPAN will cover the debate, and live radio broadcasts are expected.

    "The Columbia Political Union is committed to energizing political discourse on Columbia's campus," said Allon Brann, Columbia Political Union Publisher. "As a non-partisan organization, we work to provide students with opportunities to encounter and engage with political ideas across a wide ideological spectrum, and on a wide range of issues."

    "It is with these goals in mind that we have organized this Presidential Debate: to give all candidates-- either within or outside of the political "mainstream"-- the opportunity to speak directly to students about their goals on the issues they deem critical for this country."

    "We have invited all eligible candidates, and it is our sincere hope that all will participate, to ensure the substance and rigor of the dialogue which we believe is crucial at this time."

    Certified letters officially inviting each candidate have been sent to the respective campaigns.

    The Free and Equal Elections Coalition and the Columbia Political Union await the response from the candidates. All candidates' supporters are encouraged to contact the Presidential campaigns and urge them to attend.

    The Columbia Political Union seeks to enhance involvement in the political process, domestic and international, and draw every member of the campus community into an ongoing discussion of political ideas.

    Socialism to a small extent has just been brought into this country by not other then President Bush. Cuba and the United States can not be compared. Our historty are completely different. Our form of government have been different. Cuba knows what it is to be rule by a dictator. It had one in Batista. Most if not all Cubans can to this country not for political reason but solely for economic reason. Most people in any country care less about what form of government is in power, as lone as their economic an social needs are met. The only ones that care about the type of government are does with embition of some day leading the country. In most Latin American countries those leaders were the ones that raped the country for their own self interest. You may be able to put fear in the hearts of those that are not educated, but those that are educated the argument that Obama is another Castro is ludicrous. I am not saying communistism is good. All forms of dictorship is bad. I repeat, what I am saying is that the majority of a country's population could care less who runs the country as lone as their basic needs are being fully met. IN CUBA THEY ARE NOT BEING MET BECAUSE OF THE US EMBARGO AND US REFUSAL TO TREAT CUBA THE SAME WAY IT DOES CHINA, RUSSIA, AN VIETNAM, WHERE WE FOUGHT A WAR AGAINST THE COMMUNIST AND SPILLED PRECIOUS AMERICAN BLOOD.

    The second Obama/McCain debate and Latino Perception.


    I made an interesting Obama/McCain experiment in Body Language and Physicality.

    I invited latinos ( non Cubans ) that do not know a single word of English ( friends and relatives ) and subjected them to this second Obama/McCain debate.

    They are extremely ignorant and do not understand the issues. They do not know who is democrat or republican.

    After the debate :

    They disliked McCain for moving so much and walking so much. They thought he was disrespectful.

    They also reported that McCain looked old, tired and unhappy. And that no country should have a president so fatigued and exhausted.

    For them the man looked life full of stress, and drained in energy.

    Obama for them looked young, energetic, brisk, lively, a Cool and Reposed Gentleman.

    Perhaps the only Old Latino Politician is Fidel Castro. So they are biased. They are not accustomed to Old People in Power.

    I am completely sure of a Big Latino Landslide in New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado. 2 to 1 favoring Obama.

    Perhaps. I guess that we will witness a less impressive Latino Vote for Obama in Florida but still a win of 55% to 45%.

      Ignorant people make ignorant choices!!!!! Precisely why everyone should get informed before voting, it is our right to vote and with that right comes responsibility! (not feelings!) Why is it that most the Obama followers ignore the obvious and dubious facts set before them about their choice for whom will have the most powerful position in this country? I say most Obama followers because it is obvious some do know exactly that they are voting for: a radical socialist/communist who wants to destroy our freedom as we know it! Funny you should say you didn't invite any cubans. I am cuban and to us cubans it is obvious Obama has same ideologies as Castro! I say vote for freedom! McCain may have faults but at least we know he is not a socialist.       Kind of thin science there, guy. If it would have been Japanese, they may have disliked the level of the voices. Other cultures might dislike other things. Whatever your belief, one's fatigue after a 14 months campaign is not the issue. The issue is how good are the advisors and how quick can the person come to a concluson. We don't know either of their advisor choices. McCain is much quicker on the draw than the pondering Obama. I'm an independent (and you are not).

        Are you talking to me? If you think that pondering over issues is a leadership value then we do have a difference of opinions.... Obama is silent (pondering) on issues until others come out with their proposals and then criticizes the others without giving his own opinion.. thus riding the wave of delay until he comes up with another socialist plan.....

        Have you consider the proposal of giving 95% tax relief to tax payers? That is an odd figure since 50% of the people don't pay taxes.... so he is going to give them a refund check to those who don't pay taxes from those who do pay taxes.... redistribution of wealth is not a tax decrease in my opinion..

        Another issue just popping up this morning .... not with the Main Stream Media (MSM) but with Fox News... is that Obama sent one of his campaign directors to meet with CAIR a Islamic radical organization with ties to terrorist organizations.... The message coming out of the Obama camp is, "We had no idea of who was going to be at these meetings and if we knew we wouldn't have attended".... it is funny how this candidate is always claiming ignorance of what type of activities others are engaged in when it comes to light....       It is funny that you mention that these latinos didn't know anything about the politicians and decided on their feelings, emotions,prejudice (age), and traditions (walking around).... did they consider that they are NOT in their country and since they cannot speak english they shouldn't be able to vote anyways....

      It is a shame that you use some prejudice procedures to evaluate a candidate with some illegal immigrants.... why don't you teach them English, how the democratic process works, the pertinent issues at stake, what each candidate stands for, what is each candidates voting records, experience and knowledge on the subjects, associations (past and present), religious views (backed up by voting records)and what each candidate wants to do for this country....... then you can give an informed response to the debate instead of something ignorant like you just posted....

      are all Obama supporters so ignorant that they ignore the issues?

    What's interesting is that all the polls are taken with 600, 1000, or 3,000 people (in the case of Gallup). Reuters and Hotline have it at 6 pts, Rasmussen at 5 pts, etc...
    But how about a poll of over 150,000 people to get a better perspective?

    It's a straw poll at aol (not scientific, mind you), that shows McCain with a 10 pt lead.

    It has Obama winning CA, NY, IA, IL, VT, MA, RI, CT, MD, and DC.

    That's it.

    Each individual state has more people sampled than most battleground polls as well.

    Again, it's self selected because it's among people with AOL accounts but it's pretty amazing. Among a larger group, you can see that while Obama gets 44%, McCain gets more with 54%.

    Things could get interesting on Nov. 4th.

    Also, who wants to bet that the 40 million plus evangelicals aren't included in most polls?

      most of the one they asked were democrats . i heard last night on msnbc . so they let the cat out... shows you that most of the media is backing the dems. got news for them whether they believe in GOD or not HE IS IN CONTROL.. put the word out and lets start to pray for HIS guidance and moving in this. the enemy has not power over prayer

    Anytime a religious organization (Christian in nature) goes against its fundamental teachings and endorses a candidate who abhors the teachings of God....meaning the right to life, homosexuality being an abomination (barack says it (homosexuality) is no more of a sin than heterosexuality, gay marriage..... than in my opinion that church organization has failed to represent the views of Christ and has fallen in line with the teachings of this world....     Having a world view of these key issues is not an option of those who are fundamentally sound in doctrine... and anyone argues against these issues need to check their salvation..... and I challenge anyone to debate with me on these issues or others that you feel that the republican party is not in-keeping with scriptures...

      God does not rate sin - sin is sin. It is man that wants to determine what sin is worse than another. As Paul said if you have committed one sin you have committed them all. The problem I have with Republicans is they want to stress how sinful abortion and homosexually is BUT has said nothing about John McCain's cheating on his wife with Cindy nor did they have a problem with Palin's daughter and her boyfriend parading on the convention stage as if they were the National Poster Teens for Teenage Sex. Where are they in keeping the scriptures in these matters. Let he without sin cast the first stone. GOD gives us free will to choose right or wrong. Who are the republicans to think they can force people to live holy, they cannot.

If you want to go off of your on personal beliefs but use part of the biblical text that you like you are still wrong....

            So make your point more valid by using references instead of your opinion based on personal belief, especially when talking about matters concerning Christian faith.....

        Obama was contrasting whether or not being a homosexual was sinful or not! And his comment was that it was no more of a sin than being heterosexual...... so with saying that it (homosexuality) is not sinful he called God a liar..... As for the statement that sin is sin goes..... one can sin and one can sin even greater.... what is the greatest sin? The greatest sin is the one that keeps you out of the presence of God for all eternity....

        I didn't post to compare what sin is greater.... it was you who decided to post saying that sin is sin.... but to call a heterosexual person sinful just for being heterosexual is not in view of the scriptures.... my post is directed towards the Christians who endorse the belief of those who go contrary to biblical doctrine....

    Doesn't anybody care how much this illegal alien occupation is costing tired, hard-pressed taxpayers? It's seems alright for the church to preach that they are human beings and deserve our compassion. But does the church and the Bishops want to spend their money feeding, housing and offering free health-care when Americans cannot afford insurance themselves? I prefer to spend my tax dollars on legal single mothers and their children, my senior citizens, mentally handicapped, homeless and veterans.       I agree with your assessment of the economic cost of aliens. The big tickets are unfunded liabilties of Medciare and social security - 50% of government spending,, militatry overspending -$400 Billion per year (about 40 Iraq's), and foreign bases/expenditures - over one Trillion. The size of our government is the size of China's total economy. It cost us about $.40 of each tax dollar just to pay for maintenance of Washington DC.

      Deficit spending has taken the cost of a chevy from $2000 in 1964 to $25,000 in 2008. In other words, we are squeezed by spiraling prices against a slower rising income. This comes from defciit spending.
      we need to radically reduce government cost and use surplus to pay down debt and solve the problems of healthcare and infrastructure. if we could spend our way our with deficit dollars or tax our way out when revenues decreases with higher margins, we would not have a problem. But, in fact, both of those have caused the problem. We lose jobs due to two factors high corporate taxes and over-regulation, Which candidate is recommending both as a solution. OMG.

      If we get one party into control things get much worse accroding history. Split them for the sake of the country.

      Any argument that fails to take BOTH sides of this into account is going to generally tend to be dismissed by moderates...

      There are communities in the Midwest that have undertaken large-scale deportation of illegals. Some of their businesses that were employing them (usually without knowing on the basis of false credentials) have now fallen into economic disrepair that affects the larger community as a result of the lower labor supply. The legality of the situation is all well and good to talk about, but especially in these times, one has to look at the *whole* picture - not just one side of it.

      McCain's a victim of his own party here. Yes, he's always supported a moderate voice and immigration *reform* instead of xenophobia, and he should be commended for it.

      But a vote for a candidate is in many ways a vote for the party, as McCain will have to appoint a lot of officials if elected, and it is expected that they will be Republican. It's somewhat unfortunate, but McCain really is a victim of the extremists in the GOP here. People across the board will have a hard time trusting McCain as long as people with pepper spray and bullhorns show up screaming at the top of their lungs in front of churches trying to provide food and shelter to "anchor babies" (in the protesters' own words). Relatively few Hispanics will vote for a man who is affiliated with a party that shows up near Latino two-year-olds with anger and weaponry to express their position.

      No group is going to give anyone 100% of their votes. Hispanics don't have issues with McCain - the GOP is another story. Hispanics just got really tired of being demonized and dehumanized. It's no wonder their turned off. If you add in the rest of whats going on - the economy, the war, and McCain's inability to control his own supporters - there isn't a very good reason to vote the GOP in this year.

As a result, no doubt God's love will someday come bless the homeless from that crisis with food and supplies, even though it sure didn't happen anytime soon after the hurricane. Four years is a paltry time to wait to receive the blessings of the Lord, right?

    Im glad to hear the hispanic population votes on moral code first. They are a people who respect and honor the family and traditional family values. Thats why they MUST vote for McCain.
