And yet you have the time to gripe and whine about griping and whining on the internet!? haha Maybe it is hypocrisy ruling this nation? I'm attending rallies, making public awareness posters. What are you doing assumptuous person?

This entire discussion tread leads me to believe that too many people have way too much spare time on their hands. Go out and do some yard work, or laundry, or volunteer to help those less fortunate than yourself. Do something positive besides griping and whining.

America IS a monarchy, disguised as a republic, and called a democracy. If only Paul Washington was the king! The secret royalty of America has been the Rockefellers since 1908. They solely control the value and amount of money printed. There is nothing federal about the Federal Reserve System; it is a privately owned institution, like a company, by the Rockefeller family. There is no standard of the wealth of the dollar- only a few select people on a board deciding how much they should inflate the thing. (Pres. Bush Sr's father was on this board.) Every dollar is loaned to the government on interest, who then loans it to the public on interest, so it can never really be paid back. The Federal Income Tax is an attempt for the government to aquire the money to pay the interest... and every cent of it goes to the Rockefeller pockets. So, who rules the United States of America? Not any president, my friends!

I agree with the 11:52 comment. Our American history seems a bit manufactured. We need to embrace our history. It is time for our children to be taught the truth about our country, the great parts and the not so great parts. We are only human, that's OK with me.

Religious extremists who embrace a deity over their own humanity and the rights and freedoms of their fellow human beings is disturbing. Our forefathers fought and died to bring about a seperation of church and state and penned a sacred document to insure that religious fanatics never again oppressed a nation. Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Jerry Falwell and other Christian fanatics would have it otherwise. Christian post these messages because they think by testifiying they are nearning a "Get out of Hell free" card. Be afraid. Very afraid.

If he is related to Washington that cool but that was then this is now, with all the problems going on in our own country we need to get up tight about that rather over someone is related to washington, and who he slept with , who cares. i just find it amazing how you have all these holidays but yet to this day do you see anyone , say anything about the Native Americans, why dont they have a holiday set aside for them. But yet you dont see them bringing up there color or the way there people where treated. there's more things to talk about than dragging the past up over something not important.

I absolutely agree...only JESUS is the King!!! He died on the cross so that we may be forgiven of our sins. Do you understand the pain and hate that he felt on that very day? NO! But we can understand it. JESUS is the reason we sinners are forgiven no matter what. He was humiliated, The King Of Life, our LORD JESUS CHRIST. God gave his only son for us. Thank you God!!

I fully agree with Servant43- Jesus Christ is our only KIng- which if you really check into history- this is what our founding fathers believed also. George refused the monarchy offered him because of this as well as his belief in liberty. As for the comments on the cost of research, it says right there in the article that the company Ancestry.com had one of their own employees did it and the company did it as part of their advertising campaign. Also, it is true that Edward VIII did refuse the monarchy for himself for the reason of love,but he did not refuse it entirely, his brother became king and the monarchy continued. George Washington didn't refuse for just himself, but for his entire family and his new country. He is the only one to ever do that, all other revolutional leaders in history became emporers, dictators, or monarchs; they chose power and money over ideals. Bottom line is this article was for fun and interest- if you want to be upset , then be upset about where our country is headed, the people of our country have been apathetic for far too long and our country is falling into the pattern of other countries that made some attempt of liberty and failed. We need to be active in our government and VOTE!!

Today King George II sits upon the throne... The Congress and President have become nearly hereditary by default, as wealth and elitism become the essential crown of royalty today.

The Bush's, Roosevelt's, Clinton's...Gore's, Brown's(Ca.), etc all have passed on their heritage to their progeny. We now see an increasing centralization of wealth and power in the hands of a few families in America. The result is an ever increasing elitism in our social order, and a return to a form of fuedal state.

Fuedal lords appear on the horizon as royalty by another name... looms ever ready to take the reigns of governance over... America. Let us be vigilant and every ready too participate in our democracy. Party politic's feeds the flames of the elite, who control the political process... establishing the princes of the kingdom.

It would do us all good too remember the age old adage, 'for evil to prevail good men need only to do nothing'. It is past time that the average American reassert their enfluence in politics; afirming the heritage of our forefathers... liberty and justice for all... to our progeny. Be forewarned if one is unwilling to participate in nothing, he will certainly receive nothing or worse in return.

Register vote and more importantly participate in the political process... engage the party leadership, attend meetings of local and regional parties and government. Make your voice herd clearly and assert your God given voice for good in government. Do as George Washington did, pledge your life, liberty and fortune to good governance; for without personal sacrifice and participation one shall surely find their liberty taken from them... too, serve others. Government OF the People... for the people BY THE PEOPLE.
