Have you seen some of the blacks who are descendant from the slaves at Mt. Vernon. These blacks bear a striking resemblance to Washington. There's no doubt in my mind that they are the real descendants of George Washington, a man who had no legitimate children with Martha. Your King would be the same race as your next President.

Malene is extremely focused on the butt.

In a few weeks we will make a choice that will decide our future.
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
Also, he perfectly predicted the current real estate market meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen in the next couple years
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are essentially bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything in the last 80 years.
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand exactly what is broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use complex mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He didnt realize that anything was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. Check out this link to the truth http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideo
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
Let's teach him we are smarter than that .
    Elect Obama Biden 2008

Malene, what did Jesus mean when he spoke of "whited sepulchres?" To me a beautifully coiffed person living in immaculate surroundings, and filled with HATE and disdain is like a decaying corpse lying in a beautifully white washed crypt or mausoleum.

I wouldn't waste my breath Brotherlou, Malene is just a hater and that's all there is to it and nobody here on earth is going to change her mind about it. She just has to live with her hate and get on the best way she knows how.

    George Washington DID have children.
Funny this article glosses right over that....

I don't think anyone disputes the fact that Washington had biological children OUTSIDE of his marriage. The point is he had no LEGITIMATE biological children. These children would never have been recognized as potential heirs to the throne in a monarchal society.

The danger to America today comes in the form of Angilician influences totally mired in politics. It carries the doctrine stamp with is corrupting the "Principal's Stand" as seen in some of the preachers who
take political stands. If this danger be not recognised then it could amound to a defeat for Washington & for
    America.

Your incoherent and ungrammatical expressions of disdain are much more descriptive to me of your personality and intellectual attainment than your beautifully coiffed lawns, and the gleaming new paint job on your new home.

hmmmmmmmm, ive been scanning thru all the articals on this washington in texas. im a washington also, from indiana. my cousin donald traced our roots back to 11th century england. im michael d. washington, my father was george d. washington, my great grandfather was george washington and one of his sons was george lowell washington. makes you wonder if this one washington in texas is supposed to be that close of a decendant that where does that leave the rest of us? i to am a member of the sons of the american revolution because of my relationship to george washington, thru one of his brothers which in her artical none of his other brothers were mentioned nor was any mentioned about the all the washingtons still liveing in england. i think that lady that did all that research left alot of empty blanks in her artical. funny thing is if she had checked she would have found more washingtons are in australia than the states. im proud of my last name and my connection but i doubt that paul washington is that close a desendant to be called king. oh and how bout the washington that died at the alamo, who was his family? i mean its no big deal, all the washingtons around are related in one way or another but i think they went way over board on this one from texas, way, way, over board. out of the thousands of washingtons all over the world how could just one be that connected? somethings funny someplace.

glen1946 apolgises for all the interrogation marks (& other errors) in her comments. Don't know how that happened, so much for spell/word check!!. They seem to appear whenever I type a comma or quotes, so I will avoid them in future. Also colorisations should read colonisations. Just going to practice a few commas here to see how it turns out: 'testing".

  • Posted By: glen1946 @ 10/09/2008 8:08:49 AM

My giddy Aunt! Don???t some of you commenters sound like mean spirited humorless Marxists? It's just a bit of historical 'what if' for heaven's sake. Lighten up. Having said that???
The vitriolic comments about indigenous peoples being slaughtered by imperialism etc, all the familiar Far Leftwing slogans are concerning. I would like to ask, where do you think people come from? Do you think they just sprout up out of the ground? Google ???Solutrean. The earliest Asiatic peoples who came to N American continent, the Clovis people, replaced the pre-Clovis Soloutrean people who came from Europe. Also, notice how I use the verb 'replaced' rather than an emotive and more aggressive word such as slaughtered, exterminated, or other provocative term; that???s because I recognize that all peoples, throughout the entire history of human existence have moved about the planet ,invading or colonizing, settling etc. Sometimes these colonizations took place with resistance from the indigenes assometimes happened in N.America, (tribes briefly turning from their constant state of warfare with neighboring tribes ). Other???s joined the wrong side, siding with the losing British Monarchy & becoming subject to America law. There are a less obvious colorizations, they were done more subtly as is the case now in Europe, N. America, Australia, N Z & Canada with the spread of the soon to be established , Islamic Caliphates. But however they do it, new people bring change, usually it???s change for the better because the very fact that the ???new people??? make a successful establishment in the new territory gives testimony to their superior technologies, albeit in engineering, medical, agricultural, legal, educational, mechanical, weaponry or whatever. Locals might not like these changes, Britons didn???t like the Romans or the French, Arab tribes didn???t like Mohamed???s booty hunting invasions, but they soon adapted. Speaking of which , the establishment of Islamic Caliphates in all Western societies is probably going to be the only time in recorded history that a current (21st century ) philosophy, law and culture are going to be made subservient to 7th century Middle Eastern tribal law and philosophy. It???s going to take a massive mental and physical shift for some of you, but the alternatives are limited. However, because it???s a subtle colonization, and because we live under PC influence, in this case cultural relativism, there is little resistance to the advent Islamic influence and change. Britain has already instituted limited Sharia Law and the indigenes meekly accept it as inevitable. Westerners have been educated to believe that our societal values & peoples are tainted, as is evidenced by some comments here, (would ending slavery be considered an exception?), so prepare to accept change as inevitable, see it as fair and just, as making a valuable contribution to our new and vital Multicultural society. Enjoy.

The question is, are blacks in America separate by choice or by exclusion? By virtue of being excluded they have been forced to compensate, as do all minorities historically, by coming together to foster some semblance of pride in the face of being rejected, in the mean spirited was that these very posts demonstrate.

For WealthyBetsy, I can't let you, or your source, lead any unsuspecting student astray. Myriad does connote many, but it is actually not an adjective and should not be used in that fashion. Myriad is popularly used as a collective noun like army, plethora, flock and suggests a group so large as to be beyond counting, but actually means a hundred hundred. "There's a myriad of ways" has become stylistically acceptable because of the first connotation just as we would say, "An army of rats were drawing near" (Biship Hatto). Dropping the word "of" would be grammatically correct when used like, "A thousand ways," however myriad is NOT an adjective, as you are dogmatically and INCORRECTLY stating.

Washington may have had royal blood, but what was the war of independence about ? It was to get out of the
hyprocritic ways of of Royalty. As he was true to himself.he rejected the Christian doctrine for America as it was
used to the hilt by the royal system. America was eventually founded not on Christian Doctrine but on Christian
Principles & later came Lincoln who literally carried America to what it is till recently.
