    Comment: When Bush got in, all the neocons came out of the closet, but if Barack Obama wins, their divisive strategies will be challenged. The White House will no longer welcome or be a home to born-again bigots, torture apologists, habeas corpus revokers and the rest of the industriofascist entourage. I also expect that censored truth commissions, muzzled scientists, harassed librarians, bought appointees and coerced generals will cease to be an issue under Obama's leadership. As he extricates us from Iraq, perhaps he could deliver us and the Iraqis from the Shock and Awe strategists, Blackwater barbarians and Halliburton robber barons.

    John McCain should make the argument personal and something that the American people can identify and understand. John McCain views Bill Ayers as a founder of the Weathermen and Weather Underground and also founder of the Students for Democratic Society SDS on the campus of the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan had held the first sit-in against the war. John McCain and the other 600 Vietnam POWs believe Bill Ayers was responsible for prolonging the war and causing them to receive extra beatings by the North Vietnamese for refusing to show their exuberance for the antiwar effort in the United States. The North Vietnamese fought even harder and refused to negotiate or return our POWs given the organized antiwar protests in the United States. All the North Vietnamese had to do was wait and domestic antiwar protests orchestrated by Bill Ayers would cause the United States to surrender. John McCain spent five and half years as a POW and personally received extra beatings because of Bill Ayers. Barack Obama views Bill Ayers as a reformed domestic terrorist who did despicable things in the past but should be given a second chance today. For Barack Obama there was never a need to keep a distance from Bill Ayers. Maybe if Barack Obama could have walked in John McCain???s shoes for just one day and suffered just one of the extra beatings that John McCain endured for five and a half years because of Bill Ayers and his Weathermen antiwar movement then maybe Barack Obama might appreciate a need to keep a distance from Bill Ayers. Along with the SDS Students for Democratic Society, Weathermen Underground, the Black Panther Party also actively opposed the Vietnam War. Barack Obama received the support of Southside Chicago Congressman and former Black Panther party member Bobby L. Rush during his bid for the Illinois US Senate seat. The Black Panther Party along with the Weathermen Underground prolonged John McCains captivity and caused him to receive extra beatings. It is ironic, that Bill Ayers led the antiwar protests during the Vietnam era that caused John McCain to receive extra beatings and to experience nearly six years of captivity, and today Barack Obama has been leading antiwar calls against the Iraq war. Barack Obama can not understand why John McCain is not happy that Barack Obama has not kept a distance from Bill Ayers. If Barack Obama had walked in John McCain???s or any of the other 600 American POWs shoes one day, he would have no problem understanding why he should have kept his distance from Bill Ayers. The word shunning comes to mind. If Barack Obama would have shunned Bill Ayers and members of the Black Panthers Party there would be no issue in tonights debate.

      Before we begin to hand out out the unjustices we must come to a place whereby as Americans (of all ethnicites we understand all of the injustices committed an experienced. It didn't start with the injustice experienced by McCain. There are many issues as "One Nation Under God" we need to give serious attention to. Obama I believe comes to the table with a greater unerstanding of the diversity that must be addressed, thereby the better candidate for the job in a time such as this .

    Comment: How can we trust Barack Obama on health care if he is a smoker?

    Would not someone who really wants to hold down healthcare costs want to quit smoking. Is Barack Obama a chain smoker or not?

    If he is only a closet smoker and not transparent by smoking in public and admitting that he has a nicotine addiction then how can we trust him on other issues that are truly grave?

    Does he smoke a lot of cigarettes only when he plays poker with his Chicago friends or is it a daily habit? We want to know if Barack Obama is going to promise to not chain smoke around Joe Biden because Joe Biden had asthma as a teenager.

    The reason that Joe Biden could not fight for his country in 1968 during the peak of the Vietnam War was that he had teenage asthma. Joe Biden had horribly bad luck, ninety percent of all children are diagnosed with asthma before age six but Joe Biden was unlucky enough to be in the ten percent group of children who acquire asthma after age six and became asthmatic when he was a teenager. After five student deferments while he attended college and law school, his teenage asthma finally came to the attention of his local Selective Service Board and he missed the opportunity to serve his country during time of war as an officer.

    But for his bad luck with his teenage asthma diagnosis, Joe Biden could have gone in and served his country honorably as a officer and a gentleman and perhaps as a Judge Advocate Law Officer similar to his son.

    We hope that Barack Obama will not smoke in front of Joe Biden because the smoke could aggravate Joe???s asthma that prevented him from serving his country during time of war.

    We can not trust Barack Obama on health care if he is a smoker.

    Comment: Obama is getting a bump out of this because people are not being reminded of the whole history where the economy is concerned, and who did what when. Call it bias by omission. The media simply says that the economy is Obamas strong issue, but never discusses the facts in detail. Further, who had a majority when is rarely relevant. If the simplistic Party In Power model were true, then the Democrats would not have needed the House Republicans when they tried to pass the bailout bill, as Democrats have the majority in both houses and there is no threat of a veto. In theory, they do not need the Republicans to vote at all. In fact, something like twelve (12) Democrats from Barney Franks own banking committee voted against the bill. Obviously, it is not so simple and the media does the voter a disservice by doing little more than reinforcing the error. A similar argument would be to say that the economy appeared to be doing fine until the Democrats took over control of Congress and the power of the purse in 2006, then it tanked. As an aside, the media also misleads regarding the Clinton economy when they fail to mention that it also ended in a recession, requiring the first round of Bush stimulus checks immediately after he took office..


    Do Obama and the Democrats deserve a lift in the polls as a result of the financial and mortgage problems? The answer from history is a clear NO. Here's the lead of a New York Times story on September 30, 1999:

    "Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending" [link below]. That's 1999 folks. Clinton Administration, I believe.

    Here's the lead of a New York Times story on Sept. 11, 2003:

    "The Bush administration today recommended the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago. "[see link below] The Democrats killed the reforms.

    McCain said in co-sponsoring the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190:

    "If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system and the economy as a whole. The Democrats killed the Bill.

    What was Barney Frank and fellow Democrats saying at the time of these attempted reforms? According to reports, Representative Barney Frank(D-MA) claimed of the thrifts :

    "These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis, the more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."

    Representative Mel Watt (D-NC) added of the reforms "I don't see much other than a shell game going on here, moving something from one agency to another and in the process weakening the bargaining power of poorer families and their ability to get affordable housing."     Comment: Why would we want someone who is still promoting the same fundamentals as the current administration? Why would we want someone who is going to tax health insurance benefits? Why would we want to not have more regulation on areas of the market and country that are failing? Capitalism is an awesome thing, but it brings alot of greed when loopholes are created and not closed, or if the proper regulations aren't set up. I'm a republican, but I think we need more regulation that doesn't solely let areas like health insurance and greedy investors run over the American people and use the excuse that the markets will take care of themselves and weed out the bad. Obviously that hasn't worked. People need to wake up and stop playing the political B.S. game of whether a republican or democrat or conservative or liberal is in office and go off the issues!!! If you can't get elected other than calling someone names, instead of explaining your plan to deal with the problems we are in, then obviously you either shouldn't be in office, or you don't know what your stance on the issues are, or you don't want the voters to know your policies very well.

McCain has been in office during all of the time this has happened and will probably have most of the fundamental policies of his party, which have obviously failed.     Chicago has a tradition for bomb makers beginning with the Haymarket affair bomb that killed 7 police officers in 1886. The bomb was thrown during a May Day rally for striking workers. There is a statue in Haymarket Square marking the place of the bombings.

    A Chicago native the Unabomber is now serving a life sentence at SuperMax Federal Penitentiary in Florence Colorado for killing three people with mail bombs. The Unabomber Ted Kaczynski grew up in the Chicago area, graduated from Harvard University before getting his PhD in mathematics from the University of Michigan, and then taught at U.C. at Berkley. The Unabomber received his moniker by targeting universities and airlines. Ted Kaczynski targeted professors at Northwestern University in Chicago and a United Airlines President with his bomb packages. As a radical leftist environmentalist, Kaczynski???s later fatal victims included an ad executive for Exxon and a timber industry lobbyist.

    Bill Ayers the Weatherman bomb maker is two years younger than Ted Kaczynski the Unabomber, but both have Chicago connections and both received degrees from the University of Michigan about the same time. Bill Ayers received an undergraduate degree in American studies and Ted Kazinski received his Phd in mathematics from the University of Michigan a year earlier than Bill Ayers???s undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Bill Ayers went on to get his Masters in teaching at Columbia in 1987.


    Lets look at the educational credentials of each individual:

    Ted Kaczynski, Unabomber: Harvard BA, University of Michigan Phd.
    Bill Ayers: University of Michigan BA, Columbia University Masters in Ed.
    Barack Obama: Columbia University BA and Harvard J.D.


    It does seem curious that these three individuals each have two degrees and all the degrees for the three individuals only come from three institutions of higher learning, Harvard, Columbia and the University of Michigan. The timing is curious too. Perhaps there is a nexus further than all three being raised in Chicago and all three going to these three universities.

Moreover, it is questionable to describe the difference engine as an invention, since there is no record of it having ever been patented, and in any case one was never actually built until 1991. In 1837 Babbage proposed the idea of an analytical engine, which, if it had been built would have qualified as a general purpose computer since it would have been programmable, but again there is no record of it ever having been patented and it was never built.

    Senator John McCain said that his medical plan allowing plans from other states would lead to choice, competition, and lower costs for consumers and companies. Barack Obama said that would lead to inadequate protections and it would be similar to the incorporation laws of Delaware where most United States corporations are incorporated. Corporations from many states incorporate in Delaware. Barack Obama was insulting the laws and voters of Delaware and his running Joe Biden who has been a Senator from Delaware for the past thirty years. Apparently Barack Obama feels that the incorporation statutes of Delaware are inadequate and offer little protection to investors or creditors of those corporations around the country. If that was the case, why hasn???t Senator Joe Biden from Delaware or Barack Obama jumped in there and get the Delaware state legislature to change the corporation laws of Delaware.     Comment: The alleged recent Nashville email hacking incident looks like a Watergate burglary and potential coverup on the part of the Barack Obama campaign. The potential intelligence value of Governor Sarah Palins private emails for the Democratic campaign leadership was immeasurable.

    It is hard to believe that this information was not knowingly passed on and received by higher Democratic officials working obstensibly on behalf of the Barack Obama campaign. Just as in Watergate, initially it was thought to be only a third rate burglary unconnected to the President and higher officials.

    I wish a current day Woodward and Berstein with the Washington Post could investigate this alleged Tennesse email hacking case involving Governor Sarah Palin and any potential ties to higher Democratic leaders. Just as Watergate involved Cubans who were initially thought to be just third rate burglars this story could go much further.

    There has to be a Watergate like anonymous informant out there with more information about who might have intentionally and knowingly received these confidential emails and violated federal wiretapping statutes. I want to hear an unequivocal denial from the Barack Obama campaign that they did not receive any intelligence from this hacking and that the national campaign headquarters promptly reported to the FBI their lack of involvement immediately after they were informed that the alleged hacking took place.

    The Secret Service should be very interested in this hacking. The hacker could have passed intelligence on Sarah Palins travel plans, patterns of behavior, clues that potential bad actors could use in bringing harm to Sarah Palin. Joe Biden is screaming about the words of a few probable Barack Obama campaign-directed dirty tricks planted crowd operatives in Sarah Palin campaign crowds who shouted inappropriate statements posing a potential threat and the real threat is this hacker revealing potential personal clues about Sarah Palin???s life that could put her in danger.

Unfortunately, McCain has conducted a pathetic campaign and has used horrific tactics. When I hear Palin and McCain stir up the crowds and people yelling,"Kill him (Obama), etc. and the candidates do not address the audience, I am so sorry for McCain. McCain has lost his honor. McCain's glory days are over! McCain has been festering for eight years b/c of what Bush did to him. Now he is putting all of his anger (and there is a lot of it) onto Obama. McCain just looks uncontrolled, nervous, and desperate. After all of this is over, I hope McCain will be able to reach over the aisle instead of destroying his legacy. I was on a Fox blog the other day and someone said that Obama should get the Kennedy fate. Does that mean they want to kill a father of two young, beautiful little girls?     Comment: Both McCain and Obama need to focus on the questions being asked. Those questions do not invite one candidate to speak on the other's approach to an issue--they ask each candidate to speak to the question from his own perspective. In the debate (if you can call a Town Hall meeting a debate), McCain consistently used up valuable time misstating Obama's position and said very little regarding his own positions. Obama tdid somewhat better but still wasted time correcting McCain's misstatements and lost an opportunity to clarify his position on the question being directed to him. Mc Cain 's responses showed that he has very little to say about the actual issues and his constant overuse of "my friends" sounded contrived and unconvincing. Both candidates need to let the attacks go and focus on speaking to the issues.

Americans have become far too complacent about what is happening in Washington with our law makers. We need to start marching again! Terms for some of those petrified minds that have been there (in Congress, etc) for years wouldn't be a bad idea either. If presidents cannot serve more than an 8 year term, why don't we have terms for Congress? I don't get it. It's like America has been asleep in lala land and we've woken up to a horrible nightmare and we have no one to blame but ourselves. All of us.

    VIII. Performance Problems

    1. If Shift Managers or the Call Center determines that a canvasser is not meeting performance standards or has collected applications that are suspicious, an investigation is opened on that canvasser and completed within a day or two. If the problem concerns quality issues, such as collecting incomplete applications or not enough phone number, the canvasser may be retrained or counseled. Repeat offenses will result in termination. If the investigation finds that the canvasser has knowingly collected applications from ineligible applicants, from a person who has already registered to vote or submitted an application, completed and signed an application with another person's name, or committed any other illegal action, the canvasser is terminated.

    2. Applications that are suspicious are separated out from other applications when they are turned into election officials. Election officials are given a cover sheet with the canvassers name and the name of the applicants found to be suspicious. The cover sheet contains contact information for the election official if they find the application violated any laws so that they can get identification information on the canvasser and elicit ACORN???s cooperation in any investigation or prosecution.

    The problem is that ACORN is making sure what happened in 2000 does not happen again. Republicans stood around and said nothing when the boxes filled with votes were stored in warehouse or thrown into the Gulf of Mexico. If it were to happen again there still won't see the problem. The problem is that ACORN endorsed Barack. I'm sure McCain would have found a way to cover things up as he did in Alaska if ACORN had endorse him.

    Think about what you are saying. When filling out applications where your are asked to describe yourself. There isn't a space to put down White/Black or Asian/Black. If Barack had cirlced white he would have been ridiculed. If he were light enough AND his hair was straight enough maybe he would have circled white because there comes a point where even African Americans will not believe you are black so you are forced to circle white.

    Mariah Carey can circle white, Halle Barry cannot and that is the way it is. There are many biracial people in this world but they have to look in the mirror and see what the world sees. They will always have the advantange of experiencing both worlds.(if the parents stay together) That is why I always disagree with bloggers who call Barack racist because he would have to hate himself and his life.     I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
    Also, he perfectly predicted the current real estate market meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen in the next couple years
    is terrifying.He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
    The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
    The government took them over because they are essentially bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
    the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything in the last 80 years.
    McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
    That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand exactly what is broken.
    It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use complex mathematical models very few people understand.
    Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
    Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
    Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy.He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
    No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He didnt realize that anything was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime.     It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
    even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
    If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
    When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
    So why are the polls even close then ?
    Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
    which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
    They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
    Let's teach him we are smarter than that .

    WASHINGTON ??? The electrifying presidential campaign of Barack Obama faces a new challenge ??? a Minnesota man who claims he took cocaine in 1999 with the then-Illinois legislator and participated in homosexual acts with him.

    When his story was ignored by the news media, Larry Sinclair made his case last month in a YouTube video, which has now been viewed more than a quarter-million times. And when it was still ignored by the media, Sinclair filed a suit in Minnesota District Court, alleging threats and intimidation by Obama's staff.

    Sinclair, who says he is willing to submit to a polygraph test to validate his claims, will now get his chance ??? thanks to a website offering $10,000 for the right to record it and $100,000 to Sinclair if he passes.

    "My motivation for making this public is my desire for a presidential candidate to be honest," Sinclair told WND by telephone. "I didn't want the sex thing to come out. But I think it is important for the candidate to be honest about his drug use as late as 1999."

    Sinclair, who lives in Duluth and describes himself as "gay," claims he "personally engaged in sexual activity and personally used illegal drugs in November 1999" with the man who is now the leading Democratic presidential candidate. He claims the activity took place in the back of Sinclair's limousine and occurred again, later, in his hotel. Sinclair also says he personally no longer uses drugs.

    In his lawsuit, filed last week, he charges his civil rights have been violated by Obama and the Democratic Party. Named as defendants in the case are the presidential candidate, David Axelrod of AKP Message and Media in Chicago and the Democratic National Committee.

    Sinclair charges Obama smoked crack cocaine in the limo while Sinclair snorted powdered cocaine provided by the legislator. He says the two met in an upscale Chicago lounge before leaving in Sinclair's limousine where the drug use and sex took place for the first time.

    Sinclair says he is a registered Democrat but has never voted for any candidate. He is 46 and claims to be physically disabled.

    He says he was not physically impaired in 1999 when the alleged incidents with Obama took place.

    Calls placed to the Obama campaign were not returned.

Very sad, but it always come back to hunt you and someone is upstairs looking and you will have to render account one day and you shall be then really scare in what awaits you as punishment.......
      No dates, No witness I guess in Mr. Sinclair accusations, how convenient!!!! Only HIS version, and I guess he is a very honorable person to believe.......
      Only one reminder to people doing this, Obama have little girls and I do not think you would like someone doing that to your daughters or sister or mother, so watch out, there is a karma and darma, whatever you do to other, will be done to you sooner or later....

    Comment: Obama states that he can jump start the American economy by inflicting a windfall profit tax onthe oil industry. I have to disagree with his idealogy. It was proved to be a deterant to the economy.when emposed by President Carter. It basically crushed the economy by forcing american oil companies to outsource over 500,000 jobs. Thios outsourcing led to a huge increase in unemploument. If inflicted on todays economy everone will have to junk their automobils and go back to the horse and buggy. In the 70's under Carter there were hundreds of oil related businesses that had been around since the turn of the century that suddenly ceased to exist. When these companies went by the wayside so did hundreds of thosands of jobs. This windfall tax had a domino effect on other businesses too. Because of the sudden extinction of these oil related jobs other companies could not afford to stay in bussinedss, thius depleating more and more jobs. You don't have to take my word for it check it out over the internet. Obama says this will help get America on itsw feet. In reality it will mire the economy further and further into a depression grater that the one during the 30's.

Every person alive on this earth should be proud of who they are, what color they are, what culture they are and if they are a citizen of America proud to be American. I am a crisitan who believes in the bible. If you believe in the bible then you know that everyone decends from Adam and Eve so we are all related as the human race. Let's make the comments on the fact that Obama is mixed race but, lists himself as African American canidate. Now, he has disrespted his white side by not listing himself as mixed. I am mixed and I love both cultures. This was his chance to bring the white and black together. But, listing himself only as an African American canidate he missed that boat. This is sad for his mother who has passed on because he does not acknowledge her even though it is her side of the family that raised him. He has shown his real views on race and a President must be color blind.

    Comment: If you have ever taken a class in economics you will know that if you double capital gains taxes no one will invest rich or poor. If no one makes investments then the compainies will fold and no job will be availible. That means people cannot buy food, clothes, medicines and pay mortages. McCain does not want to cut taxes but, he dont want to raise them. McCain knows that if you cannot cut off the ability to invest or the economy is over. Obama wants to cut taxes for everyone making under 200,000 but, wants to increase capital gains taxes. It is good to give people under 200,000 a break. However, you cannot tax some small business that make slightly ove 200,000 this cuts jobs. How did Obama get into Harvard look it up?

    Comment: It is no one's fault but our own for the shady practices that Washington so dearly embraces. We have allowed our politicians to get away with things we wouldn't dare allow our own children to get away with - stealing, bribery, lying, just to name a few. We are the driving force behind our government, it s us that give these men and women the power to make decisions that affect our lives down to the very core. On that same token, it is we who have the power to take it away. You can continue to point fingers until the cow comes home, but let's be honest we have BOTH Republican and Democrats in office and the share the decline our country is in equally. The sad part is that we are the ones that put them there. So, before you start pointing fingers and passing the buck remember that the 'Buck stops here'. Stand up and fight against polictical corruption, do your OWN homework instead of getting your information from a biased media (both candidates have their own media stations that favor them - does that honestly sound like a reliable place to get your information?), and demand more of our politicians. They should be held to the higest of standards not the lowest. Until we start expecting more of our Presidential candidates and our elected officials (from the city council members of your town all the way on up the food chain), corruption and shady practices are all we are going to get.

I don't care which candidate you are for, BOTH have less than honorable dealings - be it who they keep company with, whom they have accepted 'donations' from, underhanded deals they have made at the hard working American expense, you name it. We are ultimately the ones to blame because we have become accustomed to the dishonest politician and that isn't going to change until we demand it. We can point fingers back and forth until the cow comes home about who is to blame for the war in Iraq, who is to blame for the housing crisis, the stock market plunge, poor education, poor healthcare - take your pick. At the end of the day OUR government is made of Democrats and Republicans - all of whom share the blame. it is their votes that make the decisions and it is us who gave them that power and WE have the power to take it away. So, get off your overindulged behinds and start demanding that our policitican keep honest practices. They should be held to the highest standards, not the lowest.

I am sorry but when you have that many money hungry people in government the PRESIDENT, no matter who he is, is going to vote for the majority of the people that WE voted in. Let's change the way we look at things and start getting rid of the problem from the bottom up. As long as they keep us concerned about who is at the TOP, we will never be abel to go forward in this country. I truely believe that we will be taken over by other countries without a shot being fired as long as we continue to let the government continue to keep giving tax breaks, loans, and all other help to the minority groups instead of AMERICANS.

Fannie Mae was strongarmed by the Clinton Administration to push sub-prime mortgages, the cause of the mortgage crisis, in order to help minorities and low income families that could not afford a mortgage (see Mew York Times article Sept 30, 1999. This was pushed by ACORN, a lobbying organization that Obama worked for. Factcheck is not totally independent or they would tell 'the rest of the story.
