I'm a woman, and if this is our representation of a Female political leader (VP mind you) then we are not ready for a woman in office. At least other women took Hillary seriously, as a woman, I just can't take this woman seriously and I wouldn't follow her anywhere. Another one of John McCain ANTICS (antics defined as:
    (a) a playful trick or prank; caper. (b) a grotesque, fantastic, or ludicrous gesture, act, or posture.
    (c) an actor in a grotesque or ridiculous presentation. (d). a buffoon; clown.

We are also not ready for an ORGANIZER of our LIVES as we KNEW IT TO BE IN THE PAST.
We are NOT ready for and OBAMINATION.

Why aren???t we talking about McCain and his relationship with the Iran-Contra group (having ties with former Nazis), John Hagee, Gordon Liddy, Charles Keating and the Keating five.
Why don???t talk either about the Palin???s ties with the The Alaska Independence Party and Joe Vogler in league with the government of Iran. Very scary stuff, but not one word.....

        • Posted By: Democrat-Hillary @ 10/10/2008 9:39:02 AM

          LET S INVESTIGATE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

???My government is my worst enemy. I???m going to fight them with any means at hand.???

"The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government and I won't be buried under their damn (American) flag."

Vogler, who always carried a Magnum with him, was fond of saying, ???When the [federal] bureaucrats come after me, I suggest they wear red coats. They make better targets. In the federal government are the biggest liars in the United States, and I hate them with a passion.

The violent-tempered secessionist vowed to McPhee that if any federal official tried to stop him from polluting Alaska???s rivers with his earth-moving equipment, he would ???run over him with a Cat and turn mosquitoes loose on him while he dies.???

The quotes are from Joe Vogler, the raging anti-American who founded the Alaska Independence Party. Inconveniently for Palin, that???s the very same secessionist party that her husband, Todd, belonged to for seven years and that she sent a shout-out to as Alaska governor earlier this year. (???Keep up the good work,??? Palin told AIP members. ???And God bless you.???)
AIP chairwoman Lynette Clark told me recently that Sarah Palin is her kind of gal. ???She???s Alaskan to the bone ??? she sounds just like Joe Vogler.???
Vogler???s greatest moment of glory was to be his 1993 appearance before the United Nations to denounce United States ???tyranny??? before the entire world and to demand Alaska???s freedom. The Alaska secessionist had persuaded the government of Iran to sponsor his anti-American harangue. (yes you read well IRAN!!!)
Let s investigate the Palins ties with the secessionist Alaskan Independence Party...............

Sarah Palin is getting exactly what she asked for by presenting herself as completely qualified, without "blinking an eye." She has distorted her accomplishments to the point of lying. And she has attacked others for not being qualified. Had she come out in a different posture, and not said I am an energy expert with experience with Russia, and with "no thanks to the bridge to nowhere," I think she would have be treated differently. This was just like Gary Hart saying, "Prove it!"

Barack Obama has done nothing BUT lie about everything. He is an ORGANIZER and you KNOW it.
Look at the story now about ACORN and the ORGANIZATION of FRAUDULENT VOTER REGISTRATION.
This man has shown us NOTHING yet as to how much we are in store for.
FRAUD is a SPIDER'S WEB which GETS WORSE.
Look at your everyday life and the outcome of such deception.

My friend, organizing is not a sin. It is nothing to be afraid of. People do it all the time, in their churches, schools and neighborhoods. It is an honorable thing to do. Without organizing we would not have the United Way, the Salavation Army, UNICEF, the Peace Corp and on and on I could go. If you ever did anything in your communitee to help in any way then you are a communitee organizer.

Sarah Palin is a beautiful woman who has managed to reach impressive hieghts. The Presidency or VP is not a beauty contest or a popularity contest. If Sarah Palin had the kind of intellect that a world leader should have, then she would have been able to do like every other candidate and that is she would have done the traditional sit down interviews with all the news sources and reporters would have been able to ask her questions and she would have been able to answer them. I am constantly amazed at the gullability of the right who have so gleefully imbraced a woman that they know absolutely nothing about. They claim Obama is the anti-christ for crying out loud and they go and worship a woman that is as big a mystery as this country has ever seen when it comes to public office. It seems people think since her skin is white, she is automatically given the benefit of the doubt. God is not pleased with those who are bearing false witness against Obama and God is not pleased with the hate-mongering that is coming from the christian communittee. I am a christian and I am proud to be voting for Sen. Obama and I pray for him everyday, many times a day. I am going to start praying for those on this site who are so blinded by hysterical preaching, that they have turned to behaving like anything but christian.

    • Posted By: benluclar @ 10/10/2008 9:28:41 AM

I am a Christian, which teaches me truth.
Do not turn a blind eye to truth in your eagerness to believe in yourself as one of compassion and fairness in worrying about color of skin.
There is no beauty contest here, nor is there unfairness in judgment of background in the case of Obama.
Hysterical preaching comes from Rev. Wright, if you follow the news. If you do not believe your eyes in READING what this man's background is, then believe your EARS by hearing the radical spewing of Obama's ''Christian'' background.

      • Posted By: befair @ 10/10/2008 9:34:29 AM

As a christian I have been praying for Rev. Wright. I believe he started out with good intentions but the built up anger and feelings of injustice he had based on the hard time he had growing up black in America at a time when it was very difficult for all blacks and more so for the young boys and men. They were treated with horrible disrespect and were not even allowed to have any pride in who they were. I do not hate Rev. Wright I pray for him and I believe God is helping him to overcome the pain that he has carried with him all these years. I ask you as a fellow christian to please pray with me.

        • Posted By: benluclar @ 10/10/2008 9:42:37 AM

I gave up my membership in the radical church of Rev. Wright.
I suggest you do the same, for the sake of your OWN descendants.

          • Posted By: Mimi13 @ 10/10/2008 11:34:21 AM

Rev. Wright's church is the United Church of Christ, a largely white denomination of European origin. I think it's interesting that the headquarters of the United Church of Christ -- which has never disowned Rev. Wright -- is currently running an extensive ad campaign (at least on the cable stations) saying essentially that the church encompasses "all the people." (Here's the church. Here's the steeple. Open the door and see all the people. ALL the people.) I think the message is that Christ welcomed everyone. How radical!

          • Posted By: befair @ 10/10/2008 9:54:50 AM

Your comments and the anger and hostility that are coming from your posts are in my humble opinion, worse than the Rev. Wright. Why do you show such disprespect for those who have an opinion that does not match your own. I am starting to question whether or not you are what you claim to be.

          • Posted By: nimodahooligan @ 10/10/2008 9:54:13 AM

you want to know what radical religious "christian" spewing sounds like?? "drill baby drill" "iraq is gods plan" "god willing we will win this war" republicans tend to use "god" in alot of they're campaigning because idiots like yourself eat it up...why? you beleive in a big invisible man in the sky that will judge whether or not youve been "good" enough to hang out with him when you die. thats could be a big clue all by itself.

"i love your christ. i do not like your christians, they are so unlike your christ."

        -gandhi

and that is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo true...i know maybe 2-3 REAL christians. most judge, most dont love thy neighbor, most cheat, most lie and steal, and then use "god" to make it ok. "well you can always repent and be forgiven" BUNCH OF CRAP... PRETTY SURE GODS PLAN DOESNT INCLUDE BOMBING INNOCENT PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES FOR OUR "SECURITY"(love thy neighbor...HAHA), IT DOESNT INCLUDE LYING AND CHEATING
DOESNT INCLUDE RAPING THE WORLD HE CREATED THROUGH DRILLING FOR OIL
DOESNT INCLUDE DEFILING HIS LAND WITH WASTE

ohhh theres just so much about using religion in politics that makes me want to vomit on the bible...keep it out of the most important office in the country please...

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."

dude, get one thing straight....the "god almighty united states of america" has been involved with and even supplied terrorists over the past 50 years, we have been secretly waging small wars all over the place...giving weapons to start and fund civil wars, selling weapons to all kinds of countries that hate us.... AMERICA AND RUSSIA ARE #1 AND #2 IN ARMS DISTRIBUTION WORLDWIDE....where do you think the bin laden fam and al qaida got those nice AK-47's??they sure dont have a walmart over there to go buy one.... we sell our souls, our country secrets and weapons, and our technology for the right price. where have you been? clinging to the NRA and your precious shotgun?? get real man...

varacefan: i agree....this country is continually duped into bad decisions, over and over and over and over again it can be seen in history... like the news we see everyday from the war to the environment to oil tothe economy... we see what we are allowed to see, we know what we are allowed to know....and this isnt on some hippy conspiracy tip, this is just the fact that whether democrat or republican...we are being lied to and misled...or just plain led to where the dollar goes...

edjones, I don't know where you are from, but I live in AZ. You can say what you want about McCain's experience, but he has been of NO benefit to Arizonans- his head has been in national politics for so long that he has no idea what is going on in his own state. He has always been interested in big business and the national spotlight. Please study how poorly AZ does in jobs, education, healthcare, pollution, conservation and use of resources, housing, and just about any other area before you talk about how great he is. Unfortunately, he will likely stay in the Senate representing AZ as long as there are more republicans registered here than Democrats. If you are from another state, please do what you can to get him to establish residency there. Thanks!

    • Posted By: edjones65 @ 10/10/2008 11:00:00 AM

When the hell did I say how great he was, I was trying to make a statement about how if you judge one you should judge the other as well , thats it , thats all. Oh , I have also heard basically the same type of negative comments about Obama from his own state as well. You cannot make everybody happy whether you are for McCain or Obama, is what I got out of it. Now listen to me carefully I was not trying to be a "Smart- A**, as I first stated on my post", i was just trying to state my opinion on the subject. Personally I do not like either one of them.

It's a shame to see Palin's career wasted on McCain's sorry attempt at a Presidential run. While I am totally against her being VP now, I can freely admit that she is an gifted and intriguing politician. I hope she can bounce back. I would love to see her in 8 years with some experience under her belt.

She should cut out the negative attacks, and just try to save face for the remainder of the election. McCain's ship is sinking, don't let him pull you down for the sake of his ambition.

The problem isn't picking "A" woman it's the women we pick! Hillary Clinton was so embroiled in controversy, some of it likely coming from the imaginative smear merchants on the right, much of it deserved due to her cold attitude and some of it unfortunately the bi-product of being married to someone that REALLY embarrassed the nation. She would NEVER have won the general election. Then we get Sarah Palin, CLEARLY out of her league. I CAN'T for the life of me understand for one MINUTE why more women, craving for a piece of the Presidential pie, would not be incredibly upset at this pick. Women finally get a decent shot and they pick one that is so cartoon like as to be a serious joke. Since Ms. Palin has arrived on the scene you almost have to compare her with honestly bright women you see in the news. She makes Katie Couric look downright scholarly. The interestingly dishonest folks on the right talk about the Palin/Couric interview and say that Ms. Couric pulled out "gotcha" questions just to stump the beauty queen. Excuse me? If Katie Couric had asked those same questions of Newt Gingrich, he would have eaten her ALIVE. She is a national joke and hopefully enough to scare even Republicans into doing the right thing and voting against the ticket.

She is the one we need to know more about and she need to be candid. Is Troopergate and using private emails for state business a sample of her candor?
All we know a of now that she spew venom very well, she lies as a normal thing, she attacks unfairly without having nightmares, she can not answer the simplest questions to the press, she made many promises in Alaska and far from honoring them, she kept only the staff that was loyal to her (cronies in other words) and the list goes on...
Sorry I have not seen anything positive about her, she is a good cheerleader for the masses that want to see only the wrapping and not the content, and that is not necessarily a good measure of success.

Do you want someone to ORGANIZE YOUR COMMUNITY? ORGANIZE YOUR LIFE? ORGANIZE YOUR MONEY? ORGANIZE YOUR MEDICAL CARE?
Or, just maybe ORGANIZE your EUTHANIZATION so they don't have to take care of you when they find that they really can't afford to do all that after all?
Maybe we should just start snorting cocaine, since Obama thinks we should legalize its use.
That can be his first legislation he can propose that no one will question in his Democratic Congressional pocketbook.

They have espoused their hatred for America, and expressed their wishes to actually break away from the United States! So why isn't the media doing more to expose the connection between these traitors and........ Todd and Sarah Palin?

Obama is not the threat. The threat is the ties of the Palin's to the Alaska Independence Party, whose primary purpose for existence is the secession of Alaska from the US. Todd Palin was a member of the AIP for 6 years, and Sarah Palin gave the keynote address at THIS YEAR'S AIP convention. This is no lie. This is all irrefutable fact. So go ahead, Republicans..."take off the gloves" and make questionable associates the central talking point of the campaign. When the Dems take off their gloves in return, you'll see we are wearing brass knuckles underneath.

Obama on the defensive. "When I told ACORN to register the dead to vote, I meant the Grateful Dead" said Mr. Obama today in Dayton.

I am for Obama. How about you? Are you for Obama too? Then there is a pair of us. Do tell. How dreary to be for John McCain. How dreary like a bog. To have to defend yourself the livelong day against ACORN's fraud. Emily D. Amherst, MA.

Finally, a nonpolitical (haha) piece on feminism. You bet I am scared out of my whit for my daughter as she will be entering her third year of college with all the political mumbo jumbo going on. Thank heaven there are going to be opportunities that my daughter will now because of Palin and Clinton.

I think it is terrific, fantastic, wonderful, encouraging, and any word you want to substitute that my daughter's generation to be led by two powerful women in our country. I may not agree politically about one of the two, regardless, I have to say they have opened the door for my child and any successive generations. And that is where I applaud the ba!!s of both Clinton and Palin. They have empowered all women, regardless of background, to shoot for the stars. Perhaps in the next decade we can see equal pay once and for all, and opportunity for all.

Hillary Clinton is a wonderful roll model for any of us and our daughters. She is intelligent, well spoken, and can handle herself with men. Sarah Palin is not a roll model I want for my daughter-She cannot complete a simple sentence unless she is spouting lies about Obama. She is a phoney and her speeches spread hate. She is no sister of mine!!

Obama people always talk about spouting lies when any TRUTHS UNEARTH about the man.
I am not going to be happy watching people like you see what EMPOWERMENT will do to you.
It is very sad that you believe the LIES Obama tells by AVOIDING the TRUTHS.

    The Palins??? un-American activities - Part I
Imagine if the Obamas had hooked up with a violently anti-American group in league with the government of Iran. By David Talbot (Salon.com)
Oct. 7, 2008 | ???My government is my worst enemy. I???m going to fight them with any means at hand.???
This was former revolutionary terrorist Bill Ayers back in his old Weather Underground days, right? Imagine what Sarah Palin is going to do with this incendiary quote as she tears into Barack Obama this week.
Only one problem. The quote is from Joe Vogler, the raging anti-American who founded the Alaska Independence Party.
So who are these America-haters that the Palins are pallin??? around with?
Before his strange murder in 1993, party founder Vogler preached armed insurrection against the United States of America. Vogler, who always carried a Magnum with him, was fond of saying, ???When the [federal] bureaucrats come after me, I suggest they wear red coats. They make better targets. In the federal government are the biggest liars in the United States, and I hate them with a passion. They think they own [Alaska]. There comes a time when people will choose to die with honor rather than live with dishonor. That time may be coming here. Our goal is ultimate independence by peaceful means under a minimal government fully responsive to the people. I hope we don???t have to take human life, but if they go on tramping on our property rights, look out, we???re ready to die.???
This quote is from ???Coming Into the Country,??? by John McPhee, who traipsed around Alaska???s remote gold mining country with Vogler for his 1991 book. The violent-tempered secessionist vowed to McPhee that if any federal official tried to stop him from polluting Alaska???s rivers with his earth-moving equipment, he would ???run over him with a Cat and turn mosquitoes loose on him while he dies.???
