She's no good.............. and it has nothing to do with her gender.

There are plenty of hero women to celebrate, just not this one.

This whole 'sister sister' feminist thing is so overdone and hardly relevant. Women simply have an opinion, big freaking deal. We don't hear many solutions coming out of that feminist camp. What they do well is point fingers and blame. Hardly noteworthy.

I try to picture in my mind if Obama's children were just a bit older and one of them had gotten pregnant, The right wingers would have gone CRAZY! Rush and Laura would have been dancing around the radio booth in their underwear snapping each other with towels. Now, Sarah has a 5/6 month old child with Downs Synrome and every time the camera is on him he looks to be either asleep or unconscious. But he's being carried around nevertheless by one of the other kids as a political prop. Right this minute I'll bet $10,000 Bristol never marries her boyfriend. He's a political prop too. I am being very honest with you when I say that I find these things to a bit offensive. And, as I say, if the tables were turned the right wingers would have had a field day. That's called hypocrisy.

I am not quite sure why being a woman should attract other women to vote for you. By that analogy all men should vote for Democrats because they are the all male team. Sarah Palin sure does have appeal with Republican women, most of whom are clinging to their conservative roots.

Which brings us to the 2012 elections (Lets assume for a moment that Obama becomes president)....first she can't automatically assume that she will be picked as the front runner because there are other Republican candidates who will compete for that spot (Romney, Huckabee, Guiliani, etc.). Not one of them then is going to sing her praises like they did at the convention. It will be be fiercely competed. Which tells me that she most likely will not end up as the Republican nominee for President that year.

As far as smart women go, look at Michelle Obama's interview with Larry King. Thats one impressive lady and perhaps, First Lady of the future.

Gov. Palin has not impressed many Republican voters any more than Barack Obama has. She is attractive and has the correct beliefs about gun rights, no abortion rights, teaching creationism along with evolution, and that global warming is not man made. She connects with many in the base because of these convictions and because of her small town backround and evangelical approach to life. Yet many moderate Republicans are ashamed that their party would pick a vice Presidential candidate with such limited knowledge about the economy, about the world, or about governing. She is unqualified and they know it. They choke down any objections because they are loyal to the Republican brand, but they know it is a disgrace to offer this woman as ready to be President if need be. Her performance on the campaign trail; which has been carefully staged to protect her, shows that she knows how to work the crowd. It proves her appeal but reveals nothing about her ability. Moderate Republicans have enough common sense to know the difference.

You're kidding me - you bring together all these "smart" woman and none speak to Palin's views on how to solve any of the most pressing problems facing the nation - they focus on her being a feminist and raising kids - these have NOTHING to do with her abilities to be VP. How sad and sophmoric

Palin is NO feminist! She is the definition of DE-feminization. She has beauty, but disguises it with a librarian bun. SHE shoots to kill wildlife and refuses to protect the polar bears because she is DEVOTED to big oil. SHE "wears" the pants in the family by making the major decisions as her husband says..YUP. SHE is a scary combination! She is such a newcomer, she doesn't even deserve the attention...she is SO limited in her overall knowledge....born and raised in Alaska without being out in the real world.
