Ultra-conservatives long to re-ignite the culture wars and divide the American people. America says no!

Sarah Palin. The gift that just keeps on giving...
Another HUGE factor in the double digt lead.
Obama's ratings would continue to climb as McCain/Palin embark on a campaign of lies, hatred and defeatist jitters. Americans are tired of the big lies and want to send someone who is concerned about their present plight to the White House and not individuals who would rather stoke communal hatred. What is the approval rating of the ku klux klan today? Just a little over zero - that is where McCain/Palin belong.
U.S. soldiers have donated more presidential campaign money to Democrat Barack Obama than to Republican John McCain.

you know there is a person who shows up before the messiah , has a fanatic following and changes the world
There is a Latin term in law that translate to, "fruit of the poison tree". I won't bother you with the actual Latin, but what it means is this: If a tree's roots are poison, the fruit of the tree will be poison. In evidentiary law, it refers to the fact that any evidence gained from a "poisoned", or untrue, source, will be inadmissable because it can be no better than the source from which it came.
When you reference the conditions under which your "Messiah" will return, you are not only using fruit of a poison tree, you also picked a tree with a talking snake in it - and then you want to put forth arguements to bolster your beliefs which you think are wholly based on logic, but which, in reality, are based on some really wacky fruit trees.
What says that there will be this man before the Messiah? Your repeatedly and unreliably translated religious book? Or whatever your preacher du jour has interpreted it to mean today.
It's best to keep fundamentalist, literal interpretations of the Bible out of contemporary politics. It makes you sound a bit loony-tunes.
McCain erractic on dealing with the current economic crisis. McCain flails around, bouncing from plan to plan.

McCain's rhetoric inflames mobs. Right-wing nutjobs cry out, 'terrorist', 'kill him' and racial epitaphs. America is shocked.

Here's the so-called "Christian" viewpoint in a nutshell: Dont vote for a candidate who condones abortion and gay rights, and who has intellectual friends and acquaintances. That's really suspect.
Guys, get real. Have none of you ever studied Moral Philosophy? It sort of posits scenarios where you might be forced between chosing to save a mother or her children, and the overwhelming thinking is that the mother (the living, breathing human) is more "valuable" and that she can always have more children. I know that sounds cold, but that's the common wisdom. The mature human being has acquired more knowledge, wisdom and experience, and that has irreplacable value; the children are also valuable but they are younger and somewhat more replaceable.
In this line of thinking, how does the unborn fetus rank? I realize it's a moral dilemma of a huge magnitude, but it's not for the federal or even the state gov't to decide - it's a moral issue, a private issue and a religious issue. So get your noses out of the woman's right to choose. Her unborn fetus should be no concern to the state. If you carry on the logic from the above scenario, the unborn fetus has even less value than the born children. It's cruel, I know, but when circumstances call for drastic decisions, live or death, then I say butt out, and let the woman choose. That's pretty much the Democratic position, and that's Obama's.
The Christianity I know is a religion of inclusion, non-judgemental, humble and caring to all people, whatever walk of life or proclivity or happenstance.
What's wrong with the Religious Right in this country? I'll tell you -- they lack basic intellectual thought leadership and their spiritual understanding seems shallow and meant for the purposes of "socializing at church with other like-minded types" -- as some might say, narrow-minded bigots.
I'd say waging an inexplicable war, killing and torturing people and condoning that under Bush's Administration, displacing millions of families from their homes in Iraq to other Middle Eastern countries, making enemies across the Muslim world -- I'd say that was pretty awful stuff.
Aligning yourselves to the party that the National Rifle Association and one that all the gun lobbies support - thats also very strange, if you're a Christian. You want everyone to be allowed the right to carry a gun, no matter how crazy or distraught - resulting in their potential to kill innocent students, bystanders, people in public places, etc. You want the DEATH PENALTY? That's not very Christian of you - the faith is all about redemption. Forgiveness. Acceptance, inclusion and caring...
Go read your bibles and do a little thinking, all you Christian Geeks who think you're so morally pure. I'd say your hate-filled churches are becoming an embarassment and a scourge across this country. It's time for a change. It's time for the true Christian party to come back into power.,
Quote: "Her unborn fetus should be no concern to the state."
I am so glad the a complete, brain dead Moron like yourself isn't in charge.
Obama is God's intervention? Good grief, since when has the God of heaven sanctioned abortion, called spiritual leaders to Damn America in His name, or authorized radicals to bomb buildings?
Your insinuation that Senator Obama sanctioned Bill Ayers to bomb buildings....Senator Obama was 8 years old when Bill Ayers was part of Weathermen group and that blame belongs entirely to Mr. Ayers, not Senator Obama. How blind can some people in this country be??? There were a ton of radical groups in the 60's that believed that rioting just wasn't getting the job done. Most of them were misguided in their thinking and most of those people realized that the best way to effect change was to work within the system and not outside of it!
God gave humans free will...it's what differentiates us from the animal kingdom.....abortion is a man-made option, as is war! Do you possibly think that god has sanctioned all the killing that has occurred in all the wars that have been waged....you truly are naive!!! And yes, I do believe that god has sent Senator Obama to us for a reason...unfortunately, people who aren't able to see the forest for the trees, can't possibly understand why!
Is it possible that we have a landslide developing here? Certainly, current events seem to be dramatic enough to warrant comparison to the 1929 era. And that reshaped the landscape for 20 years after.
If God was looking down on us now , the only intervention he/she would be sending would be an ark and flood
I'm happy for you
Bright blue.
I should have surfed on - this is getting shrill. Tarona, what colour is the sky in your world ?
First of all, McCain and Palin have incited racism irresponsibly with their campaign innuendos. How else can you explain the tone that not one, but most of their rallies have taken on. People are chanting, "Kill him," or better yet, "Who is going to do the right thing?" What are they talking about? If they cause this sort of division at home, what sort of havoc would they cause in the international system?
I can no longer support or be a member of a GOP that transcends itself as pure and holy then contradicts its image through seeding the notion of unethical practices against its opponents while walking the same path and trying to do it hidden. This party is no longer the honorable party in which I joined twenty years ago. Nor does it hold the integrity of the Ronald Reagan I believed in. I cannot be a part of anger and hatred in which I have witnessed this week from Senator McCain and his supporters. To hear the hatred and bitterness I heard coming from his meetings is not the America I remember growing up within. Nor is it the mentality in which I want my children being a part of. We will remove our membership from the GOP and begin to teach our children in this house hold to keep an open and independent mind when it comes to politics.
