What are these people looking or thinking about ,that they would even think about voting for a muslim?
The anti-christ at that, especially those that say they are Christian?
Is this country going to let him place his hand on the koran when he is sworn in IF Heaven forbid he gets
elected to run this country. Wake Up people Wake UP Please...

Obama is Christian. His mother was Christian. His grandparents from Kansas who raised him are Christian. I have racist relatives who say that Obama is Muslium and that is why they won't vote for him. People try to tell my relatives that Obama is Christian but since my relatives would never vote for a black person, they persist in the delusion (ruse) that Obama is Muslim.

Dude (or dudette), I trust my Government's Intel to do the due diligence on both the candidates. I'm certain that Obama wouldn't be in the Illinois legislature for 8 years and then in the US Senate for the past four years without some vetting going on behind the scenes.

Don't you trust your Government to protect the people from electing a "spy in the White House" or are you just reading too many goofy spy thrillers? hahahahaaha

Black is the New White....House! Yeehah!!!!

Even McCain is surprised and afraid of the monster he's created ...in himself and those around him. Time to stop and let a responsible man try to clean up the mess the Republicans have left us.

A Canadian viewpoint....one underlying problem for McCain is his wdely perceived lack of judgement (at least outside of the US) in selecting Palin to be the person potentially closest to the Presidency. If Bush is going down in history as the worst US President of all time his reputation will, in my view, be matched by a McCain/Palin ticket if they get in....Palin has shown herself capable of two things only...a horrendous and embarrassing superficiality and the unredeeming qualities of a pit bull.

    • Posted By: kjstjohn @ 10/10/2008 11:34:13 PM

Absolutely right! Can my family and I come live with you in Canada if McBush and She-Bush are elected?

  • Posted By: knconrad @ 10/10/2008 11:10:09 PM

If you really want to know wha these 2 men are all about, research and find out about the people they associate with. People surround themselves and associate with people whom they have similar beliefs and convictions. Obama's circle ought to scare the hell out of Americans.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 10/10/2008 11:14:09 PM

OOOh, yeah, I'm shaking in my shoes. He's surrounded by the world's leading economists, the best foreign policy experts from both parties, the leading intellectuals and policy makers, and the rest of the world's leaders also respect him enormously.

Are you seriously that poorly read, ignorant and under-educated that you truly believe he is a threat? Dont you trust your Government to vet all the candidates for high office? What's your problem? He's black, is that it?

      • Posted By: Forty4 @ 10/10/2008 11:31:25 PM

Yes.... he's the toast of Europe, which is enough for me right there, but the icing on the cake is that he is endorsed by Hamas... That's telling!

By the way, your racisim is really showing. You play that card often....

      • Posted By: knconrad @ 10/10/2008 11:28:19 PM

Get real!! I could care less if he was pink with yellow polk-a-dots. And how niave are you that you only look at who has been hired to support his bid for the White House. I didn't say the man is stupid. He is very intelligent and smart enough to surround himself with the best team to accomplish his goal. Look at who he has associated himself with over the last decade leading up to this point. Or are you so blind and narrow that all you can see is what the media and campaigns hve fed you over the last 18 months????

Its amazing how people will argue about things that one way or another will not affect this country to a large extent (Religious Stuff).

Yet no one cares about either of the candidates level of knowledge in topics like Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, etc.

religious stuff ..lol I'm sure working class citizens losing their houses care about the presidents knowledge of quantum physics

Member comment: If I were Senator Barack Obama, I'd sue Sen. McCain & Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, et al and make them pay dearly for their "untruthful remarks". Sen. Obama is a Harvard Law graduate (magna *** laude) and is the greatest Orator since JFK. He has had 8 years in the Illinois Congress and 3 years as a U.S. Senator and probably has more knowledge than any other Senator in the 21st. century. We need him as president of our great Country at this time. He will chose the smartest of the smartest for his Cabinet. MMG.

It's really funny that according to Republicans, all media is biased except Shawn Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Fox News. If that many people see the flaws in McCain and Palin, guess what? They must be real!

The facts are simple. The democrats under Cris Dodd and Barney Frank caused this housing crisis, and now we are now going to put a socialist in office. Because Barrack HUSEIN Obama is black does this meas we can end the status quo. I now want my welfare check and free healthcare.

    • Posted By: rail60 @ 10/10/2008 10:37:32 PM

Sorry, Dubya and the republitards already gave all of our money away to their wealthy friends. No welfare for you.

      • Posted By: mvago @ 10/10/2008 11:00:40 PM

        Right..you're ill-informed DUDE.

So it was Frank and Dodd.....in a republican controlled house , senate and presidency...amazing,,,,,Nice try though!

        • Posted By: Forty4 @ 10/10/2008 11:26:09 PM

Wrong. It takes 60 votes to get anything through the house. Frank and Dodd voted party line and stopped it.

  • Posted By: Blazco @ 10/10/2008 11:23:02 PM

"surround themselves with" OY. Have you read anything? Sure, he knows Willian Ayres. So what. Is this an issue or a diversion?

If you are provoked by historical mistakes -- how 'bout Bush's drinkin, DUI, coke use. What about Dick Cheney and the HUGE business mistake he made at Halliburton. (It's almost like he owed them the war to make up for their losses under his leadership.) Rummy? Well, his mistakes all came when he was SecDef. "I'll send someone down there who'll tear ass and get info." SURE. Waterboard me and I'll tell you I'm J.H. Christ, and I'll admit to plotting to eat Mother Teresa's feces in Time Square.

Grow up. Neither of the candidates is that great, especially given the nightmare we're in (Thanks, "W." You're a Good Man.) But, McCain is not even close.

Vypur, Are you an adult? Under 18, perhaps? You are so full of venom and hate; you really ought to seek help. This is the type of mentality that has brought the republican party to it's knees. You are just another right wing lunatic who will be left behind to the point of social and political irrelevancy.

    • Posted By: Forty4 @ 10/10/2008 11:22:35 PM

Why don't you call yourself a democrat... are you trying to rub in the fact that you hate the republican party so much that you have to broadcast it?

    • Posted By: Vypurr @ 10/10/2008 10:56:43 PM

I'm very much of an adult. My comments are mild compared to the hate filled leftist here. By the way, I guess you just missed all their posts..... or have you called them out too?

Imagine that it's November fourth, election day. You've read up on all the candidates, local and national, and are ready to cast an informed vote. You get off work a little early and head to the polls.
But after waiting in line, you find out you are not on the voter rolls.

You argue with the poll worker ??? you've voted before! They don't know why you aren't on the list, and weren't trained on what to do. Frustrated and embarassed, you leave without voting.

    Purged?
Scenes like this happen more often than you might think, according to a new report from the Brennan Center for Justice. The study found that "thirty-nine states and the District of Columbia reported purging more than 13 million voters from registration rolls between 2004 and 2006." And while affirming that purges correctly-done are an important way to ensure voter rolls are dependable and up-to-date, the study found that:
"Far too frequently, however, eligible, registered citizens show up to vote and discover their names have been removed from the voter lists. States maintain voter rolls in an inconsistent and unaccountable manner. Officials strike voters from the rolls through a process that is shrouded in secrecy, prone to error, and vulnerable to manipulation."
Though the report notes that the "secret and inconsistent manner in which purges are conducted make it difficult, if not impossible, to know exactly how many voters are stricken from voting lists erroneously," it lists multiple instances where tens of thousands of voters were improperly stricken from the rolls.

    Protecting Your Vote
The Brennan Center report offers long-term solutions to ensure every eligible voter has a chance to vote. But the 2008 election is just around the corner, and what if you or someone you know is purged?
Election Protection, a non-partisan coalition, offers voter education and protection through an informational Web site and an election hot-line (1-866-OUR-VOTE). They've also offer a useful voting checklist flyer you can print out and bring with you to the poll.

can america really afford to pay taxes on health care? Do we really want our young men and women fighting a foriegn war thats costing americans billions? Not to mention their lives. Americans need a government leader that will put the americans first and foremost. bring home our troops to prosper in America instead of dying on foreign land, at our EXPENSE. someone to create good paying jobs in our country instead of outsourcing to another country. wake up america. republican; [LOOSE YOUR JOB]; democrate[KEEP YOUR JOB] ; republican;[MORE TROOPS OVERSEAS]; democrate;[TROOPS COMING HOME];republican;[TAXES ON HEALTH CARE]; democrate ;[LOWER HEALTH CARE COST WITH NO ADDED TAX]. In order for this country to get back on its feet, americans need a leader that will put us first and not third.

Initially, I was okay with the idea of having McCain for President. I became strongly opposed when I heard Governor Palin's interviews with Katie Couric. I became fiercely opposed when Governor Palin began hinting that Senator Obama was a terrorist to a crowd of rabble-rousers in Florida. (Doesn't the Governor remember that the last time America had a charismatic national black leader he was assassinated? What was she doing, rallying the crazies to go after the black Arab terrorist, Hussein?) Now, having learned about Troopergate but, more impotantly, about the Governor's indications of support for an Alaskan secession group, I have completely maxed out. I could not possibly be more opposed to or more dissappointed in Senator McCain.

  • Posted By: starwatcher777 @ 10/10/2008 11:18:13 PM

One Final thing I would Like to add.

I sincerely hope all the stuff about Ms. Palin believing in a literal interpretation of Genesis is Liberal propaganda. Having beliefs is fine (Even If I do not understand why faith is viewed as a positive thing) is fine.
However, to me, anyone admitting they believe in a literal interpretation of genesis is also admitting that they are letting personal beliefs distort their view on reality to an alarming degree. I find the prospects of someone
like that being in a position of power very frightening.
