Not all polls indicate Obama is that far ahead of McCain. One poll has Obama out front by only 2 points. The man at the McCain rally asks how we got in this position with Obama out front. Obama is well educated and clever and is stirring up the anger of people in a sophisticated way. The people need to call time out, cool off, list the attributes of a good leader for America and compare the candidates. I have almost always voted for independent candidates. I have voted for Alan Keyes and would vote for Thomas Sowell if he ran for office. So it???s not about race. It???s about the views (including his willingness to permit the killing of a living infant that survives the abortion process) and record of Obama. I am so concerned about the facts on Obama that I will vote for McCain and trust the Congress to provide the appropriate checks and balances. The democrats and Obama and their entitlement program for housing have birthed a worldwide economic crisis that far overshadows the impact of the Afghan and Iraq wars.

TRUTHFULLY, this shoulld be NO SURPRISE to anyone!!!!! When ACORN is registering 110% of many of the swing states voters, does anyone see that WE HAVE A PROBLEM????? If this were an honest race with two equally HONEST nominees....as with GORE/BUSH....I would be wary of the polls.....because a month before that specific election, AL GORE was 11% ahead of George W...and GUESS WHAT???? Miracle of Miracles...Bush won...There have been tons of elections where the double digit lead disappeared when the voter gets into the booth and says.....WHAT IF????? I have FAITH in AMERICANS ACROSS THIS NATION TO ALLOW OUR COUNTRY TO CONTINUE TO BE BLESS BY GOD...AND REMAIN ONE NATION UNDER ONE GOD.......If anyone really has any issues that are unresolved about McCain, I would recommend that you watch "FAITH OF MY FATHERS"...it is his autobiography.. HE IS THE MAN FOR OUR NATION AT THIS MOST CRITICAL TIME IN OUR HISTORY!!!! McCain/Palin '08

It would be nice to have the candidates have a debate over "science". As both technological and scientific innovation are probably more responsible for America's rise to superduper power status after WW2. I would find knowing each candidates general level of knowledge in fields such as Physics, economics, computer Science, mathematics, biology, etc. extremely interesting.

One thing that did strike me as strange was McCain's (Paraphrase) "Palin probably knows more about energy then anyone in America" statement.

Could Palin even tell me what a Joule is? A Newton? A Weber? Somehow I doubt Palin knew more then the Chemical Engineer who was trying to desighn the hydrolisis process for high starch ethanol ingredients I

    was working for last summer

He"s not a muslim, he's a good christian and I think he will lead this country to the economic safety and values we need. I don't expect him to do it all in one term, but hopefully he can turn this ugly situation around so that people will see just how wrong they are about him, and maybe reelect him to finish the job. Go to it Obama, my prayers are with you.

Yes, good point. I'd say Europe and Asia are really up there now though, thanks in some part to our selling our best ideas to the Japanese and other takers over past decades. I'd say the demise of GM and Ford as major manufacturers is pretty telling - you just have a bunch of total reactionary idiots running their Boards, apparently, coz they totally killed the Electric Car a decade ago when they could have been visionaries who would be making a major comeback today. But never mind....we're not perfect.

Why would anyone vote for Obama when you can get a 72 year old man who cant send an email , and a vice president who eats moose meat ?

Osama supporters are showing up in masses at McCain/Palin rallys and attempting to out shout their messages...SO, before you buy into the osamania...I suggest you take a good look at REALITY....Your STATISTICS in you blog at 100% WRONG and that is the same message Osama has been getting to really ill informed or tunnel vision people who only see what HE wants them to see....DEAR GOD, PLEASE HAVE MERCY OF THIS NATION AND CITIZENS WHO ARE WILLING TO FOLLOW THIS GUY TO THE SLAUGHTER.....McCain/Palin '08

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 10/10/2008 10:05:40 PM

Oh throw up, what a cruel thing to accuse the Obama camp of - and lying through your teeth once again (or swallowing the lies put forth by the McCain Defense Camp). I am CERTAIN that nobody from Obama's camp is being planted in the audiences at McCain rallies to incite violence against Obama. That doesn't even make sense - it's much too dangerous and Obama hardly needs that kind of sympathy or attention.

Where's your common sense, IcyEyes? Maybe you should change your name to BlearyEyes!!! Go get a good night's sleep and have a pleasant dream.... when you wake up, do some meditation and think positive thoughts. It will do you a world of good!

IF YOU HAD ANY COMMON SENSE AND could see the WORLD with clear sight, then LOGIC would tell you that these hecklers are Osama supporters and it MAKES :YOU ALL LOOK STUPID....and by the way, dude, you're blackness is blinding!!!!!! GET A LIFE AND A PATRIOTIC NOMINEE!!!! McCain/Palin '08

A leader, whether they be a business manager, a mentor or a president, should always set an example for others to follow. Sadly, I find myself in a position where I have lost all respect for John McCain, largely because of the lack of leadership he has shown in this campaign and secondly because I believe he is listening to bad advice from his campaign team.

    • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 10/10/2008 10:47:42 PM

Yes, I think both McCain and Hillary Clinton suffered from bad advice from old-school 1990s style campaign managers. Obama, by contrast, has run a very good ship and been an excellent manager. And the money he's raised breaks all records! Let's hope it's a promise of good luck and smart, savvy management of the budget in years to come, should he win (fingers crossed!).

TOo bad Obama does not have to submit to a background check. I hope you guys are right about this guy. but I am voting my conceince. This guys is PURE evil. Maybe he is the anti-christ and there's nothing that can be done to stop him from doing what he was sent here to do. I hope you guys are right.

You are whats wrong with this country sir; i mean that with all sincerity. I say this as a man who votes predominately republican in all local and state elections and live in an extremely conservative area of Michigan. Im certian that if the founding fathers of this country would have forseen the likes of hatefilled, ignorant, and unstable individuals such as yourself, they would have rethought the inclusions of the constitution.

  • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 10/10/2008 10:42:41 PM

No, the sole cause of this economy is the Bush Administration's policy to give everyone huge tax breaks and start two wars overseas. It's called bad fiscal management. He is a moron. The GOP is also lacking in basic intelligence as they could only muster Sarah Palin as the VP candidate to run with McSame, both relatively lame. But for that I thank the GOP. This country owes them a heartfelt thanks. Because nominating two very weak candidates virtually assures Obama-Biden's win, or at least I hope so!

Yes, its called bad management and it happened on the GOP's / Bush's watch. You don't spend spend spend by growing the Government tenfold (with two big expensive wars) and then add to the deficit with several major tax breaks. Also, the Adminsration was very lax in collecting the Corporate Taxes - almost all the big and medium corporations have had a 10-year tax holiday since the GOP has been in control. Don't believe me? Google it.

Read the facts before you talk. Palin was found guilty. She was not found guilty of firing the guy without cause. The report said she was justified in the firing. THey did not take a vote on it, so the papers are nothing but political. She was investigated for firing the guy, but was determined she was justified,

  • Posted By: chizucc @ 10/10/2008 10:36:11 PM

JLB, it's pretty easy to say that racist garbage from the internet. You and McCain are both cowards!

  • Posted By: Krypton110 @ 10/10/2008 8:46:12 PM

The McCain/Palin ticket is a comic book joke. Sarah Palin does not have a mind of her own. She is told by John McCain when to talk ,who to talk to, how to walk, what to say and cannot go too many places without him being there to watch over her. When he's around she doesn't add anything of value she just stands there looking cute. After all of that McCain then tells her what to wear and to go out and bring him back some votes and money. This is called PIMPING.

    • Posted By: tedhallett@paradisecommercial.org @ 10/10/2008 9:35:46 PM

How long have you personally known Palin? And what would qualify you to provide us with insight into her character?

      • Posted By: Alex's Mommy @ 10/10/2008 10:35:10 PM

If Sarah Palin is SOOOOO intelligent, why is it that no one allows her to do interviews....all by herself??

The woman obviously is incapable of critical thinking. It was a VERY SAD DAY in this country when comics could mock someone without adding significantly to the ACTUAL WORDS THAT CAME OUT OF THE WOMAN'S MOUTH. For her to then describe it as "angry at..." Katie Couric....or that Charlie Gibson was "mean" to her is pathetic. This woman is obnoxious! She's able to read a speach but not string a coherent set of words together?

She's obviously faking it....except, that is, where she can appeal to the lowest common denominator and bring out hate.

In offices across the land, she couldn't be hired for any job of significance if she conducted a job interview You think she's credible and qualified to represent you in the world? Let her stay in the sandbox with you. She should go back to Alaska and be a hockey mom.

      • Posted By: Krypton124 @ 10/10/2008 10:26:47 PM

How many one on one interviews has she given? How many townhall meetings has she done by herself without Mr. McCain. When pressed by journalist Mr. McCain has to jump in and defend her because he does not want her talking. What do she bring to the table besides her looks? Nothing. McCain has exploited her and acts like her PIMP!!! This is PIMPING 101.

  • Posted By: Krypton124 @ 10/10/2008 8:54:23 PM

Attention ladies and gentlemen... Sarah Palin has been found guilty... I'm gonna say it again Sarah Palin has been found guilty of abuse of power. Turn off the lights... The party's over.... I'm a Barack Obama supporter and I endorse this message!!!!!!

You are dead wrong. If McCain/Palin wins then it's destruction for this great nation. I can't believe you still are not convinced that the McCain/Palin ticket is just no damned good. What is wrong with you???? Let it go.... Just let it go they are no good!!!!!

      • Posted By: Braes @ 10/10/2008 10:27:35 PM

Well, I doubt your concern for that soul. Palin was in fact found to have abused power in office.

      • Posted By: jigganutts @ 10/10/2008 9:09:10 PM

        oops sorry destruction, my bad

    • Posted By: mrzoid @ 10/10/2008 9:02:04 PM

She was found to have abused her power in the firing of Walt Monnegan, but did not break any laws. I'm not sure what this will mean to the McCain campaign, if anything, but it is clearly not a positive thing. In the end, i don't think it'll sway many people, because most people already have determined their feelings about Palin. The bottom line, who cares.

The Democratic Party does not advocate for abortion. The Democrates advocatefor the supreme court ruleing that protects a womans right to privacy. If in ones privacy a woman elects to have an abortion that is her right. NO ONE advocates for the termination of a pregnancy......but they do advocate for the right for a woman to make her own personal choice. Why don't you use your energy to advocate for options that would make it less likely for a woman to make that choice?

The Administration determines who gets clearances. The FBI follows orders. The Department of Justice under Bush has made Beria and Stalin's KGB look like kittens.
They have even spied on GI's phone calls home. Pretty sad. They eat their own out of paranoia.
