I heep hearing and seeing this word change. What change is Obama going to do? No one or him can explain what change he is going to do. Just change is starting to ring hollow. We should consider changing this do nothing Democrat controlled Congress, now that would be real change.

    • Posted By: ayankari1 @ 10/10/2008 8:37:43 PM

Many of you keep saying Obama hasn't explained what changes he will bring. I listened to both debates. i heard clear specific plans. I also heard McCain and Palin bash Obama's specific plans without offering one of their own. It's not enough to say "I don't like Obama's plan", you need to be able to say "I like McCain's better". Some plan is better than no plan. In this case, Obama has great plans in my opinion. McCain has spent his energy bashing Obama, but apparently because he can't win on the strength (or lack thereof) of his own platform. That tactic is very un-Presidential. Stand for something and fight on the strength of it, or just go home! McCain is running scared, not acting Presidential.

Obama has detailed all of his plans many times. Just because you choose not to listen, doesn't mean it hasn't been said.

Dear Republicans: I feel your pain! In 2004 I simply could not believe that this country re-elected Bush. I railed about the stupidity of the right and wished I could move to some other country. Unfortunately things turned out even worse than I had imagined, but I survived...I've gotten through it. My advice? Get over it, you'll be fine. It's only four years and then you get another chance to elect a wing-nut. And if you're tooooo unhappy, I'm sure your gal Sarah will be welcomin' ya to head on back to Alaska with her.

After the recent McCain/Palin rallys, and the radical behavior and unrest they are trying to incite, it looks like McCain/Palin are actually becoming the very people they decry.

THEY, THEMSELVES, ARE ACTUALLY BECOMING THE RADICALS

And for the old republican on TV at a McCain/Palin (so called) rally in Wisconsin who said he was mad yesterday, we are mad too.

WE ARE MAD AS HELL AT WHAT THIS ADMINISTRATION AND THE REPUBLICANS HAVE DONE TO THIS COUNTRY IN THE LAST EIGHT YEARS.

And, again, to the guy in Wisconsin, (and I hope you are reading this) it was very apparent what you actually said.

You said WE ARE ACTUALLY IN DANGER OF A BLACK MAN WINNING THIS ELECTION AND BECOMING PRESIDENT.

I am a member of this clowns generation, but I most certainly DO NOT share his views and hatred.

I really hope lots of young people join the rest of us in voting this time because they are largely unbiased and unaffected by this culture of racism from the past. They represent the future.

It is time to end this in America and put all of this garbage behind us. And, as is evident in these recent McCain/Palin rallies, there are two candidates in this campaign who will work to make that happen.

    Obama/Biden

AND NOW, 10/10 MCCAINS NOCOLE WALLACE IS TRYING TO DEFEND THIS BEHAVIOR SAYING OBAMA IS ATTACKING MCCAIN SUPPORTERS!

BAZAAR OR WHAT? I THINK MCCAIN HAS REALLY LOST IT..

    • Posted By: jphilly @ 10/10/2008 8:32:51 PM

I'm with you on this, tiredoflies. As a registered Republican, I'm appalled at the McCain/Palin ticket. The negativity of the ads which are only running in IN and WIS, on the past associations of Obama with Ayers and others is dishonorable, filled with lies, and innuendos. Both of them need a reality check.

Good post and I totally agree with you, As a past supporter of McCain and i do say past I am ashamed of his and his campaign and especially or Palin. That is when I could no longer support him... Obama Biden 08

So now the Alaska Legislature found Palin abused her power. And what else do her crazed, ignorant supporters want? They absolutely care about nothing she does as long as what she does satisfies their ideologies. They don't mind her abusing her vice presidential powers if elected and they don't mind Washington saturated in yet another administration of scandals.

Comment: First of all it is time for republicans to pull their heads out of you know what, I mean really with all of the setbacks and delays of the country it's no wonder we are in shambles right now. Obama is going to win mark my words, and if for some reason when he gets in th White House and he cant fix the economy in this country he wouldn't be doing any worse of a job than Bush is doing right now. Sarah Palin who the hell is she, I mean really you could walk through the parking lot at Wal-Mart and find a more suitable Vice President. With her small town tactics and pregnant 17 year old daughter i mean give me a break small town values my butt. As long as there is a republican in the office we are doomed, mark my words americans history has repeated itself over and over again lets stop it right here right now in2008. President Bush is a C- average student who wouldn't know a dictionary if it hit him in his *&^

Warren Buffet just became the richest man on Earth benefiting from the financial crisis. He is the power behind Obama. So, let's forget the midlle man, BUFFET for President!!!!

Uh huh. Keep spouting your delusions.

  • Posted By: rail60 @ 10/10/2008 8:28:43 PM

No, Cheney is the anti-christ and Dubya is his slightly retarded side kick. Obama can thank the people who put them in office if he wins on November 4th.

    To everyone:
Please check online to make sure you are registered to vote even if you have your registration cards. Thousands of people have been purged from the voter registrations files and your vote will not count. And it's coming out that it is mostly Democrats (they haven't released numbers). Several people in my workplace checked on our state's website and it says "no records found". Don't be fooled by the Republicans.

McCain, He's obviously not presidential material, I've know a many vietnam vets who was not POW's, And they had mental problem, What happens when he has a flashback and starts to fling nuclear bombs all over the place, God help our children..He's obviously not presidential material.. He has one hand on the trigger now.

For all you die-hard McCain supporters who are in denial, here???s a News Flash for you???.You are going to lose???The policies of Ronald Reagan will go down in history as a complete failure and disaster...Your party and what it stands for, the Republican ???Brand??? is DEAD??? Republicans created this economic crisis the country finds itself in with their philosophy of ???De-Regulation???, which history will now judge as a FAILURE???.Republicans were driving the train and laid the foundation for this mess. Man up and accept the responsibility for what you have done to this Nation???.

this is not worth commenting on. Everyone know what Obams is doing, And it is just wrong.

    • Posted By: summer1216 @ 10/10/2008 8:17:25 PM

Apparently everyone doesn`t know what Ohama is doing that is wrong, because I don`t. Spell it out.

    • Posted By: Torch Bearer @ 10/10/2008 8:04:24 PM

God help you if you believe that the vile, hate and venom coming from McCain is representative of God, then you don't need to call on God cause He is not a part of this mess!

  • Posted By: quechalk @ 10/10/2008 8:10:07 PM

Some candidates have a record to run on; others are just opportunists who happen to be at the right place at the right time, leading the electorate along as they spread seasoned cattle fodder. I'll leave it to the reader to figure out which is which. It's amazing to me that if you don't support a candidate who happens to be black, you're labeled a racist, but if you support him because he IS black, that's ok. If you don't like McCain because you think he is a Bush clone, fine, don't vote for him. There are other options. Like not voting at all, or supporting someone else. But don't vote for Obama just because he's black, or a Democrat. He's obviously not presidential material.

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 10/10/2008 8:15:16 PM

We'll vote for whomever we please for whatever reason we please. I suggest you do the same.

  • Posted By: pissedoff23 @ 10/10/2008 8:10:19 PM

Oh my god if republicans can pull their head out of you know what than maybe america could bounce back and be that great thriving force that it once was. Secondly, get over yourself republicans i mean really how many more shambles and setbacks do we have to go through before you all wake and smell the coffee. Obama is a great candidate for president and when he wins because he will i want all of you to just to sit back and take it all in. If for some odd reason that Obama cant turn the country around boost the economy back up we wouldnt be in any deeper of a hole than we already are. So what if he dosent have that much background in the military hell were already fighting a war that we have yet to win, compared to a president already in the white house with plenty of military experience so can it already. Sarah Palin what a joke who the hell is she anyways I could have picked a better Vice president out of the parking lot at Wal-Mart, with so much controversy over her small town tactics and spending the taxpayers money HA HA HA dont make me laugh. This is all what it boils down to as long as there is a ignorant C average grade getting president in the White House, America will never be the big fish in the sea like we once were. So sorry but i have one more thing to say as long as there is an republican in the offfice America will contiunue to fall flat on its face.

I am completely and utterly disgusted and dismayed by the smear campaign being waged against Obama by the McCain-Palin ticket! Shame on them for trying to distract the voters from the real issues, such as: the flailing economy, health care, education, energy, etc. Really. C'mon. How dumb and gullible do they think most American voters are? Do they honestly think that we can be dissuaded from voting for Obama by suggesting that he consorts with domestic terrorists, that there is something suspicious and un-American about him because his parents gave him a foreign-sounding name ;that we'd believe, somehow, that because he has the middle name of Hussein that his parents must have been Hussein sympathizers or something. C'mon, give me a break. Stick to the issues and leave the mud-slinging in the barnyard. Sheesh.

May the best man for the USA win .. however, it was foolhardy for McCain to select Sarah Palin as a running mate without seriously probing her. She is not not qualified but the head is blank. The only issue the lady can manufacture is negative aggression and share stupidity in articulating her point and that really is hurting MsCain!

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 10/10/2008 8:07:52 PM

"however, it was foolhardy for McCain to select Sarah Palin as a running mate without seriously probing her."

I definitely would have spent some time probing her.....<cymbal crash>

McCain and Palin are dividing up the country and creating an atmosphere of hatred and racism. This message is backfiring on them and Obama is gaining more votes because of this. McCain has shamed himself in front of America. I actually liked the guy a few years ago because he use to stand for something. I am embarrassed by him. Any day now --- we will probably be hearing the 'N' word.....shame on McCain.

I am not impressed by polls, because like "ACORN" most are not honest. Remember John Kerry? Personally I believe what Mr. Biden and Hilray Clinton had to say about Obama during the Democratic primaries. "He was not ready to lead". I know publicly they have changed their opinion for obvious reasons. However you can bet that personally they haven't changed their minds. I haven't either. No to higher taxes, no to socialism, NObama!, No Thank You!

    • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 10/10/2008 7:16:52 PM

Unfortunately for you, people are tired of the neo-fascism practiced by the Republican party and will elect Obama. It doesn't matter what right-wing nutjobs (a bit of a redundancy) say.

      • Posted By: mltucker@farmerstel.com @ 10/10/2008 7:53:39 PM

The only nut jobs that there are is left wing communist like you!

        • Posted By: Johnsonium @ 10/10/2008 8:04:45 PM

Uh huh! Brilliant retort. Feed that anger, young padawan. It's the source of your power.

Cons are fools. They think that their incoherent rants will win over votes. Silly wabbits.

  • Posted By: hitobito @ 10/10/2008 8:02:35 PM

I just saw a woman at a John McCain town hall rally who said that she couldn't trust Barack Obama because he is an Arab! How stupid can this woman be? The education system in the United States has utterly failed! We are finished because our citizens will be too stupid to produce anything the world wants to buy or use!
