arnold swarzenegger is not an american citizen either. It has been proven that Senator Obama is an american citizen. Where were you? His mother was an american citizen. John McCain was not born here either.

Arnold is an American citizen but not a natural born citizen meaning he cannot be president.

Armby's response shows how uneducated and uninformed he/she is. The people she/he is voting against are already in office. Besides with a Republican President, what makes her/he think McCain wil be able to get anything done when we have a Democratic House and Senate?

Senator McCain has allowed Govenor Palin to incite his supporters to hostility, hatred and anger towards Senator Obama and his supporters. He has lost control of the crowds and it gets out of hand, especially when they start to boo him when he tries to turn the conversation into a more respectful and civil tone. It is Senator McCain's campaign. He is responsible for the negative tone and hateful personal attacks from Govenor Palin. Their rhetoric divides the Nation at a critical when we must stand united to overcome the current economic crisis on both the domestic and global fronts. Neither show any ability to be diplomatic or respectful to other people within this Nation whose belief systems, or moral attitudes differ from their own. When Senator McCain talks about the American people, I wonder exactly who is he talking about. He speaks strictly to his base, like the rest of us don't exist. United we stand! Divided, we all fall down.

Whichever one wins the election cannot win a 2nd term ..... they will get blamed for the recession, un-employment, tax increases, hurricanes, wars, floods, etc.

If you think that GB was blamed for a lot .....wait 'til you see this!!

I was about to surf on when I noticed the first comment by Lisa. Apparently she can't find any of Obama's accomplishments. Stunning.

Far be it from me to explain the concept of google to someone who must be characterised as "low information" I thought I'd share this far from complete list from naugblog :

-Obama passed legislation with Republican Senator Jim Talent to give gas stations a tax credit for installing E85 ethanol refueling pumps.

-After a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama worked with law enforcement officials to require the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases.

-His first law was a measure to rebuild trust in government by allowing every American to go online and see how and where every dime of their tax dollars is spent.

-Obama created the Illinois Earned Income Tax Credit for low-income working families in 2000 and successfully sponsored a measure to make the credit permanent in 2003.

-Passes the toughest campaign finance law in Illinois history. The legislation banned the personal use of campaign money by Illinois legislators and banned gifts from lobbyists.

-Fought to help Illinois veterans get the disability pay they were promised, while working to prepare the VA for the return of the thousands of veterans who will need care after Iraq and Afghanistan.

-He traveled to Russia to begin a new generation of non-proliferation efforts designed to find and secure deadly weapons around the world.

-A leading advocate for protecting the right to vote, helping to reauthorize the Voting Rights Act and leading the opposition against discriminatory barriers to voting.

    - Introduced the STOP FRAUD Act to increase penalties for mortgage fraud and provide more protections for low-income homebuyers, well before the current subprime crisis began.

-Sponsored legislation to combat predatory payday loans, and he also was credited with lobbied the state to more closely regulate some of the most egregious predatory lending practices.

-Introduced the Patriot Employer Act of 2007 to provide a tax credit to companies that maintain or increase the number of full-time workers in America relative to those outside the US; maintain their corporate headquarters in America; pay decent wages; prepare workers for retirement; provide health insurance; and support employees who serve in the military.

-Creates a task force on cervical cancer, providing greater access to breast and cervical cancer screenings, and helping improve prenatal and premature birth services.

-Introduced and helped pass bipartisan legislation to limit the abuse of no-bid federal contracts.

-Obama and Senator Feingold (D-WI) took on both parties and proposed ethics legislation that was described as the ???gold standard??? for reform.

Come on guys - it's not hard. The information is there for all to see. If you would welcome a President Palin you have to also question your sanity.

Christopher Buckley, the conservative son of well-known (now deceased) conservative William F. Buckley, is endorsing Obama. These men are extremely erudite, educated and wonderful intellects - Christopher Buckley writes witty novels that have been made into movies...perhaps you've heard of him? If not, you need to know about these two - they're bastions of Conservative thinking and well loved by many Dems too.

Christopher Buckley is endorsing Obama - and one of the main reasons he cited is that Palin is not ready to be VP. She is, in fact, quite ignorant and shows very little signs of being intellectually curious - just like another famous GOP leader we all know (Bush Jr.). He really is disappointed about McCain's nomination of her. Not because she is female - but because she is so extremely under-qualified.

So don't go calling people "uneducated" if they feel that way about Palin. It's painfully obvious that when your candidate is being routinely lampooned on Satrurday Night Live - that's a reality check that you should pay attention to - that there's something "wrong" (ill-fitting) in that candidate...

            • Posted By: Forty4 @ 10/11/2008 11:03:54 AM

We don't need your diatribe on Buckley. His post was factless, and in my opinion, uneducated.

Let me clue you in - Palin is making a farce and a laughing stock of our election process around the world. My foreign friends at work cannot believe how stupid our electorate has become over the past years. Electing Bush TWICE, despite his terrible economic management (did you seriously think several major tax cuts would pay for two wars?), and now actually rejoicing and celebrating the nomination of another person who has little to commend their candidacy except that she's a token female... it's quite scary that one of the world's powers is in such a state of decline that such a numbe of their people are happy with mediocrity. It's not giving anybody much confidence about the US economy either.

Hellloooo....The reason Palin is getting lampooned on SNL is because they want Obama to win. They crucified Obama because Hillary was their first choice. Once she lost, Obama, being a liberal is their next best choice.

Helllooooo.... what planet are yOU living on? I live in a big city and there is a groundswell for Obama, and the rest of the world thinks he's the obvious choice by polls and opinions. You don't elect someone who has nominated a complete neophyte (oohh, there's a big word) to Washington, much less to politics. Even Bush Jr. had more political experience and savvy, and many thought him underqualified (his intellect said it all).

You're not in synch with the rest of the world, you McCain-Palin supporters - youre out of touch, out of ideas and out of a leg to stand on. The GOP is tired, worn and just about going under. Get some really exciting, qualified, educated and experienced candidates next time. McCain is okay, but Palin is a total joke. A laughing stock. It's nice to hear that Obama is pulling away? But how reliable are the people that they polled? Will they really hold true and vote Obama once they're there standing in the voting booth? Obama supporters, the fight isn't over yet, we've still got to get out and work to get others to vote Obama. Racism is still alive and well in this country, and we've got to fight it head on. Don't let the rednecks and racists have the final say in who runs America, it's time for all this racial division to end.

    One Nation--Obama/Biden '08.

One last comment, for the dumb bunnies out there. Get your facts straight.:
    1. Obama isn't and Arab, he is an American, and he's African-American and he has a legitimate chance at becoming the next president. (and if you can't handle this, too bad)

    2. Obama is Christian, and has been for quite some time. (So stop acting like only rural white people are qualified to be Christian. Besides, you can't call yourself Christian and still be set on racial hatred. God is love.)

    3. If you just don't like black people, then please be honest with yourself and say so. Stop making up all these dumb falsehoods about the Obama.

I agree. I was listening to a Fox News radio broadcast to hear another point of view and I was disturbed upon hear a young man speaking about protesting the Vietnam war and realized it was Mr. Ayers. Mr. Ayers speaking Over 30 years ago!!! Today, Mr. Ayers is a College Professor and is not in jail nor did he ever spend time in jail. The point is the news station was playing this and relating it all to Obama who back at that time was EIGHT years old. This is why people are afraid - news stations with stories like these. It is absolute rediculous and just as ridiculous for McCain and Palin to use it to scare people into voting for them!

    • Posted By: John Dough @ 10/10/2008 10:14:50 PM

You can't be a real "Christian" and support a party that advocates abortion,, homosexuality as a civil right, the right to view pornography and a multitude of other moral wrongs. You can forgive sinners but you can not support or condone sin. Obama himself supports abortion and even said if one of his daughter's got pregnant they would abort the child.America is so worried about it's financial condition that they would elect Satan himself to make a buck. God said you reap what you sow. We are now beginning to see that now.

      • Posted By: notroubleatall1963 @ 10/10/2008 10:21:36 PM

Yes, we CAN be "real Christians" and support a party that is INCLUSIVE, OPEN MINDED AND CONCERNED ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE LIVING AND BREATHING ALL OVER THE WORLD, NO MATTER HOW POOR AND DEPRIVED.

You can't be SERIOUS that an unborn fetus means so much MORE to you than a thinking, living, breathing person already born? You CAN'T be a serious Christian and VOTE for the PARTY THAT SUPPORTS NO GUN CONTROL! That supports the DEATH PENALTY??

The Right To Life extends beyond telling your Christian women what to do and what not to do with their bodies. It extends to the entire Human Race - including gays, minorities, poor, rich, white trash, red necks, etc. You need to rethink your Christian faith if you see things only in black and white with no grey in between. Life, in reality, has lots of GREY - it's mostly GREY. Don't be so simple-minded and dogmatic - self-righteousness is a pitfall too, you know.

        • Posted By: John Dough @ 10/11/2008 12:57:00 AM

An unborn baby is not a "Fetus" it is a unique human being and yes that life is just as important as a living breathing human being. You sound like slave owners who thought blacks were less than human too. As far as capital punishment it is biblically correct to require the life of a murderer for the life they took. In regard to homosexuality, I have many friends that are gay but that does not negate the fact that it is a sin just like unmarried sex is, adultery is etc... I just do not believe that it should be classified as a protected group. I also oppose the fact that children and even adults have access to hardcore pornography. It is unhealthy and degrading to women and again it is a sexual sin. Scripture says our body is the temple of the holy spirit and should not be defiled. Being a Christian not only requires belief in Christ as your savior it also requires to avoid sin and certainly not support it.

On gun control: Criminals will always have guns - if guns are seized there will immediately be a criminal underground supplying them. In addition, states that passed concealed carry laws saw dramatic reductions in violent crime. Coincidentially the cities with the stricktest gun control laws lead the US in murders and violent crime because the criminals know their victims are not armed

      • Posted By: chris s. @ 10/11/2008 9:11:12 PM

      • Posted By: Mark from Colorado @ 10/11/2008 2:56:52 AM

I am a Christian and I do not support abortion, but I do support a womans right to make a choice. Sarah Palin made a choice and had her baby as did her daughter. What gives her the right to take that choice away from other women? Everyone has to answer for ther own choices but I believe in this free country we must protect our right to chose. By the way, wake up. the real people that control the republican party dont care about abortion or rights of the unborn. They controlled both houses and ther presidency for six years and didn't do one thing about it. They care about money, big business, corporations, tax cuts for the rich and unregulated capitalism. It is all about the money my friend. Jumping on the antiabortion bandwagon is just a way to get votes from the redneck religious uninformed.

And what about the party who doesn't believe that you should love your neighbor (wants to reduce charity given to needy countries and attacks countries that didn't attack us), works almost daily to stop people from helping the poor (fights hard against money going to poorer neighborhoods because they believe that money is better kept by the rich) and opposes trying to maintain the brilliance of what your God created (the earth - see national park funding and resistance to global warming initiatives). Whether you agree with it or not Jesus would be a Liberal and Rush would argue that he has no spine since he'd oppose war.

There are no more generous people on earth then Americans - but I hear you talking out of both sides of your mouth. Bush cut taxes but spends too much he doesn't want to help needy countries. This simply is not true
we remain the most generous people but it is time for others to "PONY UP TOO" We simply do not have enough money to keep hemoragging it all over the world. Even at an 80% tax rate we cannot keep doing it. As far as our own communities there is need everwhere but it is time for people to quit looking to the government to solve everything. We need to stand up take responsibility too.

I give far more to charity then most and cetainly more than Biden who makes 6 times more money then me.. The government takes our money to help the needy but the vast majority of it is spent on bureacracy and not aid. A recent study said if the money collected for welfare type entitlements were simply given to the reciepiants their income would be 36K . The governmenti is simply too inefficient and wastes billions of dollars. Fraud is rampant in medicare, medicaid and all entitlement programs. Billions are being stolen thru fraud. The bigger govt. gets the worse it will get too.. We need major reductions in entitlement spending or the entire system will collapse.

Sadam Hussien was a brutal murdering dictator. He murdered an estimated 400000 Iraqs. He tortured many victims before killing them. His sons raped women and then murdered them and their families. He suppoeted terrorists and defied the world. I suppose we could have ignored/appeased him like we did Hitler until he plunged the world into war and cost hundreds of millions of people their lives and committed genocide of the Jews just like Hussien was using genocide against the Kurdish people.

A Christian can be of either party. However an Evangelical Bigot is likely a Republican.

Your own bigotry is showing - the last group left being descriminated against are Christians youe response clearly shows that too.

I suppose the fact that Sadam Hussien who was one of the most brutal dicators alive murdering an estmiated 400000 Iraqs and was clearly exporting terror should simply have been allowed to continue on with our head in the sand. We did the same with Hitler and ignored him too and he plunged the world into war.

To: Nowforthetruth: Dobbs is Republican. What do you expect?

    • Posted By: neos @ 10/11/2008 8:38:18 PM

You will also note (if you watched the clip of that insufferable gasbag) that at no time did Dobbs offer any proof whatsoever of any connection between the Obama campaign and alledged illegal Acorn activities. All innuendo and sleaze. Surprising Fox hasn't snapped him up...

I am still desperately searching for ONE thing Obama has accomplished.

OBAMA HAS ZERO ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND SCARY ASSOCIATIONS.

SARAH PALIN IS FAR MORE QUALIFIED

He has accomplished "name the street" type legislation as a state senator in Illinois. As a US senator, he's authored (yes, authored) no bills that were signed into law. A realistic way to view his actual accomplishments is to simply look at where Chicago is today.
