Bottome line: Neither might be able to do anything spending wise because of the economice crisis. However if Obama lets Bush's tax cuts expire we all pay more taxes YES 100% of us pay more taxes, then if he can't get his plan or delays it we contintue to pay more taxes. Look it up folks, it is clear he willl let the tas cuts expire and if he cannot get the tax breaks we end up paying more. With McCain he continues the tax cuts and quite frankly I am a middle class and don't paying the same as long as they are not increased. I wish a meddia group would really explain it that way. Your article is as empty of solutions as the candidates for president. Who cares about the clintons or obamas advisor, neither party has come up with anything that addresses point by point the crisis with the exception of the bail out package, another stimu;us package of the argument of tax breaks for the middle class or biig corporations.

If you are unemployed it doesn't matter what your tax breaks are ! If you are in trouble with your home, it only matter if your are gioing to help the homeowner or the bank that is going to foreclose on it.

The underlining problem is the housing market, even if we bail out the banks so they can start lending again, so now they can rip off the consumer once again with 25% interest rate on credit cards, $30 for NSF fees, $3.00 ATM charges, $30, over limit fees and many other fees they keep on tacking on to the consumer

Stop the foreclosures , help homeowners keep their homes and the problem is solved.

On McCain's housing Refi that he debated last week proposing 300 billion to put a floor under the real estate market is monumental in terms of state property tax values that support communities across America , if we do what Obama wants , it will lower the value of property taxes , as they attempt to refi at a Lower value that then will Artificially Compete to drive down over property values , that will then lower the tax revenues that are assessed on real estate that affords the Municipalities that stain and support Infrastructures . The effect on the tax revenues streams like this , that a Obama Plan would cause would Link the Federal Government and the states together to the point that a full blown socialist state would evolve , because the states would become more and more dependent on Federal assistance , instead of sustaining the Individual states ability to provide their own infrastructures support .

This is the same with Healthcare , Obama's plan would place Federal assistance for those that can't afford healthcare , and Obama says the Federal Government would then step in , and this would Directly compete with independence companies , this is another attempt to kill off the Capital system and replace it with direct Federal assistance programs , resulting in more Socialistic principles of Government operations , that takes less and less choices away from the people .

The way John McCain healthcare plans work , crossing state Lines to form associate healthcare plans would take the lower risk areas of the united state and blend them with the Higher risk areas , thus spreading out the risk , and letting competing companies automatically through technology developments and management practices would create more jobs , independent jobs !!!!!!!!!!!

Boyle wants 'limit down' rules for Wall Street Slide

Burlington, Wisc. ~~~ Thomas Boyle, the Write-In moderate Democrat for President,
called for the use of the ' limit down ' rule on the stock exchanges to stop the down ward

There are two front to attack this meltdown.
1. For immediate boost to the economy, household has to spend and it is responsible for 2/3 of growth.
Immediate stimulus package of $ 20,000.00 for family filling joint return income tax and $10,000.00 for single filers. It is same as dig the hole and fill it.
2. Fix infrastructure in the country.
3. Government should takeover all funding to provide lones for higher education instead of subsidizing private bank to provide lones for higher education. Because , this is time more people will improve their education to find 21st. century job.

With the above measures, Govt has to borrow immediately, but in the long run, educated citizens will pay more taxes to fix the economy

There's something about the mortgage crisis that smells of organized crime. Credit swaps, phony bank appraisals, unregulated new trading products (scams?) that defy comprehension bred like rabbits under a Republican porch, the Bush-McCain "trickle-down" fantasy. Consider this: Congressional deregulation plus lack of oversight (police) unleashed organized crime. Infiltrating a speculation-driven financial system, experts at the "con-fidence" game, the beauty of this opportunity would wet any criminal agenda. Conclusion: Congressional deregulation and the Bush policy gave all our money to criminals, on a silver platter. Hello...

The opportunity to steal trillions by simply presenting a business card and posting a website, launched hundreds of new mortgage companies, private lenders, and get rich quick infomercials. Bundling the banks and Wall Street with the bill, it seems to me, a real novice, that the entire financial system fit right into the 21st century criminal mind, an emerging global consideration. For example, this past June, I was able to search comparison appraisals specific to my home for the first time. What shocked me the most was learning that the bank appraisal on my 2007 mortgage was $100,000- $150,000 "officially" overvalued. Any criminal conspiracy would not work without bank cooperation, regulatory neglect, and international vulnerabilities.

When Congress returns in November, the best move would be to get both sides together and reach a bi-partisan agreement to fully fund and support the best special investigators, with a mission to untie the twisted shell companies, find the extortionists, co-conspirators, sophisticated, white collar criminals at the helm. A quality, international approach to stop "crime" could also recover the trillions that have been stolen if we are successful.

Congress needs to take the lead here, get past the lobbyists and partisan dupes, the naive and uninformed, and identify the economic terrorists playing everyone for suckers.

Obama's intent for a bottom up economy is about the only rational approach,
The shortsighted view and obvious destructive result of the corporate capitalism/trickle down economics that Reagan, Bush and now McCain clings too is clearly a disastrous experiment, some day soon I would like to see the term free enterprise used to once again describe what America is all about.

Two recent reports by noted economists stated the economy is now based on housing prices, and when the price of housing went back up things would get better?
First most Americans are already priced out of the market, and things get better when more are priced out?
Apparently when the prices go back up and more Americans have higher equity they can borrow more and get the economy moving again, fine solution push more people further into debt and things are going to be fine?
When these so called economists realize we now have no source or mechanism to generate income other than our equity things might start to turn around.
I'm convinced these so called economists have not a clue when it comes to business, while they may have great expertise at maximizing the bottom line it comes at the expense of the middle class, and now has reached the point where the destruction of the middle class is obvious.
A bottom up economy includes most if not every American in the process, Even the person who sweeps the floor and cleans the bathroom is important to the success of a business, Reagan didn't get it Bush doesn't get it and now McCain doesn't get it.
Creating a business and making it successful is an art form, it will in due course happen due in large part to the creativeness, ingenuity and energy of the people of America.
First however while both Bush and McCain have acknowledged this fact they have to get out and stay out of the way.
When Bush took office this country had made great strides toward peace and prosperity and the new millennium looked hopeful, American now looks more like 1929.
