Comment: Spread the wealth how.? Look at his past. Obama in this video, addressing his work with ACORN litigation against the banks and relating to the Community Reinvestment Act and the failure of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, as they relate to the current real estate and financial crisis, states that, and I quote:
"Subprime lending started out as a good idea, helping Americans buy homes who previously could not afford to. Financial institutions created new financial instruments that could securitize these loans, slice them into finer and finer risk categories, and spread them out among investors and around the country, as well as around the world. In theory, this should have allowed mortgage lending to be less risky, and more diversified."
"The original idea was a good one, which was, lets see if we can distribute risk more broadly, and make it easier to provide loans to people who otherwise might not be able to get one."
Listen for yourself. You cannot dispute the mans on words recorded live:

Obama in this second video is campaigning at a convention of Acorn and I believe two other ???Community Activist's organizations. Ask if he will be their ally if he becomes President, Obama says, quote:
"Yes, but let me say that before I even get inaugurated, during the transition we are going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda."
See and hear it for yourself. Obama promised that Acorn and other groups like it will setting his agenda if elected:

Hear that, the article admits that Republicans were trying to regulate Freddie and Fannie, and Democrats were trying to stop it from happening as a means to facilitate the Community Reinvestment Act.

So, in the exchange with "Joe the plumber" we find out that Obama really is as radical as his early political acquaintances, and is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Yahoo, back to the 70's we go! So now we know that an Obama presidency really would be as if it were Carter's lost second term after all.
Comment: Obama's view of the future of America - Socialism which is the next step to Communism!!
Under socialism a ruling class of intellectuals, bureaucrats and social planners decide what people want or what is good for society and then use the coercive power of the State to regulate, tax, and redistribute the wealth of those who work for a living. In other words, socialism is a form of legalized theft.
The morality of socialism can be summed-up in two words: envy and self-sacrifice. Envy is the desire to not only possess another's wealth but also the desire to see another's wealth lowered to the level of one's own. Socialism's teaching on self-sacrifice was nicely summarized by two of its greatest defenders, Hermann Goering and Bennito Mussolini. The highest principle of Nazism (National Socialism), said Goering, is: "Common good comes before private good." Fascism, said
Mussolini, is "a life in which the individual, through the sacrifice of his own private interests??realizes that completely spiritual existence in which his value as a man lies."
Socialism is the social system which institutionalizes envy and self-sacrifice: It is the social system which uses compulsion and the organized violence of the State to expropriate wealth from the producer class for its redistribution to the parasitical class.
Despite the intellectuals' psychotic hatred of capitalism, it is the only moral and just social system.
Capitalism is the only moral system because it requires human beings to deal with one another as traders--that is, as free moral agents trading and selling goods and services on the basis of mutual consent.
Capitalism is the only just system because the sole criterion that determines the value of thing exchanged is the free, voluntary, universal judgement of the consumer. Coercion and fraud are anathema to the free-market system.
It is both moral and just because the degree to which man rises or falls in society is determined by the degree to which he uses his mind. Capitalism is the only social system that rewards merit, ability and achievement, regardless of one's birth or station in life.
Yes, there are winners and losers in capitalism. The winners are those who are honest, industrious, thoughtful, prudent, frugal, responsible, disciplined, and efficient. The losers are those who are shiftless, lazy, imprudent, extravagant, negligent, impractical, and inefficient. [What about the role of luckbeing in the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time? R. R. Pope}
Capitalism is the only social system that rewards virtue and punishes vice. This applies to both the business executive and the carpenter, the lawyer and the factory worker.
Comment: McCain lost this race when he alienated the MSM. Those guys loved him, loved his straight talk express, all the bull sessions he held with them. When a politician alienates the media, they'll punish him for it. With McCain, though, it's different. Journalists adored him; had he kept his lines of communication open with reporters, he'd be ahead in the polls right now, because reporters would be writing favorably about him, instead of concentrating on his anger, frustration and cynical choice of a running mate.

Once you have answered the question, directly and in context of the question, we can get back to calling names, and Obama bashing, but let's see if you can deal with just an HONEST answer, ready, here ya go:
The problem for McCain is his "Judgment", if he really had superior military insight, he would have never agreed to go to Iraq until Afghanistan was "mission accomplished". If mccain would have wanted to defeat Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, where they make base and train, if he would have wanted to actually bring BIN LADEN to justice, if MCCAIN has TRUE judgment, he would have stood on the floor of the Senate and said "WRONG WAR, WRONG TIME!" We would have "WON" in Afghanistan, instead of "cutting" our ability to supply more troops and "running" to Iraq, for a "WAR FOR OIL" and for the bush ego.
If McCain had done that, there would not have been a "SURGE" required, AT ALL. thousands of Iraqis and hundreds od Americans would have been saved...but NOPE! McCain and BUSH wanted to go to a country that NEVER ATTACKED THE US, and star another war, and now MCCAIN AND BUSH want to go "bomb Iran, bomb bomb Iran". before AFGANISTAN or Iraq are clear...and you call that a "military mentality", you call that "Judgment"?

Come you repig cowards, see when it's about actuall issues and John McCain, all you can say is "acorn/ayers" lets have a "debate" I posted this quetion on the 13th and got NO ANSWERS from any repigs, what's the matter, did McCain privatize your tounge?
PLEASE KEEP SAYING BILL AYERS AND HUSSIEN AND THAT KNID OF CRAP, it drives obama's numbers up, he is now up by 10 in Virginia...Ot OH!
Comment: Why Bill Ayers is important to this campaign?
John McCain should make the argument personal and something that the American people can identify and understand. John McCain views Bill Ayers as a founder of the Weathermen and Weather Underground and also founder of the Students for Democratic Society SDS on the campus of the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan had held the first sit-in against the war. John McCain and the other 600 Vietnam POWs believe Bill Ayers was responsible for prolonging the war and causing them to receive extra beatings by the North Vietnamese for refusing to show their exuberance for the antiwar effort in the United States. The North Vietnamese fought even harder and refused to negotiate or return our POWs given the organized antiwar protests in the United States. All the North Vietnamese had to do was wait and domestic antiwar protests orchestrated by Bill Ayers would cause the United States to surrender. John McCain spent five and half years as a POW and personally received extra beatings because of Bill Ayers. Barack Obama views Bill Ayers as a reformed domestic terrorist who did despicable things in the past but should be given a second chance today. For Barack Obama there was never a need to keep a distance from Bill Ayers. Maybe if Barack Obama could have walked in John McCains shoes for just one day and suffered just one of the extra beatings that John McCain endured for five and a half years because of Bill Ayers and his Weathermen antiwar movement then maybe Barack Obama might appreciate a need to keep a distance from Bill Ayers. Along with the SDS Students for Democratic Society, Weathermen Underground, the Black Panther Party also actively opposed the Vietnam War. Barack Obama received the support of Southside Chicago Congressman and former Black Panther party member Bobby L. Rush during his bid for the Illinois Senate. The Black Panther Party along with the Weathermen Underground prolonged John McCains captivity and caused him to receive extra beatings. It is ironic that Bill Ayers led the antiwar protests during the Vietnam era that caused John McCain to receive extra beatings and to experience nearly six years of captivity, and today Barack Obama has been leading antiwar calls against the Iraq war. Barack Obama can not understand why John McCain is not happy that Barack Obama has not kept a distance from Bill Ayers. If Barack Obama had walked in John McCains or any of the other 600 American POW???s shoes one day, he would have no problem understanding why he should have kept his distance from Bill Ayers. The word shunning comes to mind. If Barack Obama would have shunned Bill Ayers and members of the Black Panthers Party there would be no issue in tonights debate.

AJC Strongly Condemns Rev. Jesse Jackson's Comment on American Jews
October 14, 2008 - New York - The American Jewish Committee (AJC) has condemned the Rev. Jesse Jackson's statement about 'Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades.'
"Rev. Jackson's remarks, which appeared in an interview with the journalist Amir Taheri in today's New York Post, echo classic anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about Jewish power," said AJC Executive Director David A. Harris. 'This statement, regrettably, is not the first troubling comment by Rev. Jackson regarding Israel, Zionism and the Jewish people.'
Arguing as a private citizen that an Obama administration could bring significant change to U.S. foreign policy, Jackson was quoted as saying that "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" would lose much of their influence should Senator Obama be elected president."

And people are upset about raciest comments some in the crowd are allegedly saying at Palin events? Isn't this the same Democrat leader who once called New York "Hymietown"?
Comment: Palin has hurt McSame in more ways than he could imagine. She is so ill-informed. People of goodwill gave her a break. Then she was on SNL and was exposed as a loose cannon. America needs so much more. McCain use to have my respect. However he lost his path and has gone negative and must pay the price of failure I do feel badly for Palin's family..
Comment: Obama Is my choice for clean ,decent ,political power. His power vomes from an abiding inward desire to share a much better ,more honest life than the Republicans can ever represent, One that the Republicans don't even know how to create in any sense of the word. They have always tried to cheat to insure that they win ! This is not acceptable to the majority of Americans. The most informed persons will be voting against the McCain/Palin nominees for the Presidential candidacy .
Comment: I love the quote Obama use the other day "if you are going to tell lies about me I'm going to tell the true about you"
Comment: Vote John McCain!!!!!
Ohio is proud of John Glenn and John McCain both fighter pilots who served their country when their country was at war. The Barack Obama campaign is dumb as a doorknob to raise Keating 5 and criticize John Glenn. You just put Ohio in the Red state column for the Republicans.
The people of Ohio are proud of John Glenn, a former Marine Corp fighter pilot during World War II. John Glenn was awarded the Congressman Medal of Honor and flew aboard the space shuttle at the age of 77. The Barack Obama campaign should stop criticizing an 87 year old war hero John Glenn by raising the Keating 5 scandal that happened over twenty years ago.
For two people who have no military service between them and have never worn the uniform, Barack Obama and Joe Biden have a lot of gaul to obliquely criticize a fellow Democrat and elder statesman and an 87 year old war hero and first man in space John Glenn. It is also pretty stupid to criticize an Ohio native son when Ohio is in play during this election.
Does the Barack Obama campaign have to destroy the reputations of four Democratic Senators to lob an ineffectual attack against John McCain.
Senator Alan Cranston is dead and can not even defend himself. Vote for John McCain, he respects veterans especially 87 year old fellow fighter pilots like John Glenn.
Vote John McCain!!!!! Vote John McCain!!!!!!
Comment: Why is Barack Obama always putting Joe Biden his running mate in a peculiar position.
Barrack Obama stated that the reason he did not join the military service was that the United States was not at war at the time when he was eligible to serve and most people join.
Barack Obama knows that Joe Biden did not join the military service because of an asthma condition that was not diagnosed until his teenage years. Joe Biden had horribly bad luck, ninety percent of all children are diagnosed with asthma before age six but Joe Biden was unlucky enough to be in the ten percent group of children who acquire asthma after age six and became asthmatic when he was a teenager. After five student deferments while he attended college and law school, his teenage asthma finally came to the attention of his local Selective Service Board and he missed the opportunity to serve his country during time of war as an officer.
But for his bad luck with his teenage asthma diagnosis, Joe Biden could have gone in and served his country honorably as a officer and a gentleman and perhaps as a Judge Advocate Law Officer similar to his son.
Barack Obama should be kinder to his running mate and not emphasize that he did not serve because the country was not at war in contrast to Joe Biden who did not serve while the country was at war.
Comment: How can we trust Barack Obama on health care if he is a smoker?
Would not someone who really wants to hold down healthcare costs want to quit smoking.
Is Barack Obama a chain smoker or not? If he is only a closet smoker and not transparent by smoking in public and admitting that he has a nicotine addiction then how can we trust him on other issues that are truly grave?
Does he smoke a lot of cigarettes only when he plays poker with his Chicago friends or is it a daily habit?
We want to know if Barack Obama is going to promise to not chain smoke around Joe Biden because Joe Biden had asthma as a teenager.
The reason that Joe Biden could not fight for his country in 1968 during the peak of the Vietnam War was that he had teenage asthma.
We hope that Barack Obama will not smoke in front of Joe Biden because the smoke could aggravate Joe???s asthma that prevented him from serving his country during time of war.
We can not trust Barack Obama on health care if he is a smoker.
Comment: Vote for John McCain!!!!!!!!
John McCain is the one who can come up with solutions to our economic problems.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden are mathematically challenged. Send them back to school and this time have them study something that is useful.
Joe Biden with his history and political science double major in college and Barack Obama???s major in political science give them absoloutely no economic, scientific, quantitative or analytical background to handle the pressing economic and military problems facing our country.
These two mathematically challenged Democrats are supposed to be able to crunch numbers and understand how to cope with our economic and budget crisis. Two people who probably can???t add four numbers together are suppose help solve our economic crisis.
Do you know that they offer basic accounting continuing education classes to lawyers because most lawyers do not understand simple accounting. We have had enough mathematically challenged lawyers screw up our country.
You at least know that John McCain has the computational and analytic skills to compute fuel loads, cargo weights, wind speeds, and trip distances to keep from running out of gas on missions.
Vote for John McCain!!!!!!!!
Comment: Vote for John McCain!!!!!!!!
How would you like it, if Joe Biden or Barack Obama would take the controls and fly your Boeing 777 on your next commercial flight here in the US. Most independent and undecided voters would not rest easy knowing that Biden or Obama can rely on what they learned in their civil procedure class to help you land safely and not run out of jet fuel during the trip. Pilots have proven analytical skills.
There is a saying that there are old and bold pilots but no old bold pilots. John McCain has that good judgment and he has the proven analytical skills to be able to tackle our budget problems. Barack Obama and Joe Biden can spend the next four years and take some accounting and economics continuing legal education classes.
After four years of academic coursework, then they might be able to throw their hat in the ring. Given their academic training, a trillion dollars may look the same as a million dollars on a budget spreadsheet.
Vote for John McCain!! He is the one who can come up with solutions to our economic problems.
Vote John McCain!!!! Vote John McCain!!!!
Comment: Vote John McCain!!!!
I want the President to be someone who can think for himself and not rely exclusively like a blind person on a particular advisor. I want someone who understands numbers and can make analytical decisions himself.
Years of computing payloads, fuel requirements, weather and distances as a pilot are the experiences that John McCain brings to the table when listening to economic proposals.
His eyes will not glaze over when there are ten page budget spreadsheet proposals presented to him. Barack Obama and Joe Biden have no mathematical or quantitative education or experience between them.
They do not teach accounting in law school. That is why they offer basic basic accounting to attorneys as continuing education classes after they are licensed. I also am willing to bet that neither Barack Obama or Joe Biden never took a basic accounting continuing legal education class to improve their lack of skills. Both Obama and Biden were political science majors as undergraduate which means they have no quantitative training or mathematical background.
John McCain is the one who can come up with solutions to our economic problems.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden are mathematically challenged. Send them back to school.

Comment: About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:
'A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.'
'A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.'
'From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.'
'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years'
'During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:
1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
3. from courage to liberty;
4. from liberty to abundance;
5. from abundance to complacency;
6. from complacency to apathy;
7. from apathy to dependence;
8. from dependence back into bondage'
Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: 'In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...' Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the 'complacency and apathy' phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the 'governmental dependency' phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.
If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.
WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE,
ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

Comment: Latest News: McCain dies, Palin becomes President of the USA!!!!
Who is Palin? The wife of Todd, a (former?) member of AIP. He gets involved in her job.
What do we know about her? Very little, she has abused her power and supports the AIP.....
What is her knowledge of issues? We know little, besides a couple of poor interviews.....
What is her character? She lied and lied and was an attack dog with smears and more lies....
What is the AIP? The Alaskan Independence party, a party that curses America and wants the independence for Alaska......
Well think twice because this is potentially very REAL. McCain is 72, his father died at 70, had cancer 4 times and 47% of Americans think he will not finish his 1st term........
Are you Patriot, do you think in this country or YOURSELF?
Comment: THE GREAT BUSH DEPRESSION
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He was the last to know somthing was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
Let's teach him we are smarter than that
Stand up and hold them accountable

Comment: On page 373 of John McCain's 2002 memoir Worth the Fighting For, you'll find the following quote:
"I didn't decide to run for President to start a national crusade for the political reforms I believed in or to run a campaign as if it were some grand act of patriotism. In truth, I wanted to be President because it had become my ambition to be President. I was sixty-two years old when I made the decision and I thought it was my one shot at the prize."

Comment: An interesting trend is to read the comments on these sort of articles and youtube videos. There is an incredible support for Obama. (this comment being one of them!)
Comment: A teacher in Elmira , New York , who is a McCain supporter, asked her 4th grade class, "How many of you are McCain fans?" Not really knowing what a McCain fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands, except for Little Johnny. The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided to be different.
Little Johnny said, "Because I'm not a McCain fan." The teacher asked, "Why aren't you a McCain fan?" Johnny said, "Because I'm a Democrat. "The teacher asked him why he's a Democrat. Little Johnny answered, "Well, my Mom's a Democrat and my Dad's a Democrat, so I'm a Democrat." Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, "If your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?" With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, "That would make me a McCain fan."
Comment: I believe that the public has shown that we much prefer Obama's campaign. Barack Obama has continued to be calm, collected, honest, and knowledgeable - shall I go on? He has continued to talk about the issues while McCain's campaign has continued the mud-slinging and smear campaign. McCain has become a grumpy, dottering old man with his little attack dog Palin by his side. I believe Sarah's drool has clouded her already clouded brain. I'll take Barack's CHANGE CAMPAIGN any day over McCain & Palin's dodging the issuing and smear tactics.
Comment: Let's see, he campaigns just like Rove, uses his tactics, lies and distorts the truth. Hum, what the hell else are we supposed to think? He's Rove Jr.
Comment: Well, as a liberal, I certainly hope that other GOP candidates hire Mr.Schmidt in the future.
Comment: watching these post degenerate over the last few weeks has been lock step with Mr. Mccain's slow slide.. sorry gop supporters try to take the next 4 1/2 years in stride huh
Comment: HolyRoller, JoseMarti and similar posters: Do me, yourself and the GOP Party a favor: Put just half the effort that you put into bashing Obama and the Democrats into praising the real values of the Republican Party and it's ticket if you want to get McCain elected. All of this peurile and acrimonious name calling, smearing and outright antagonization is not helping our cause, makes the conservative base look childish, unintelligent, frightened and self serving. It turns off Independent voters and so basically serves the Dem's interests.
Comment: Now we know who the person is behind the "madness" ....Schmidt may have got away with the previous elections, but not this one...It's an uphill battle that cannot excuse the failures already with the McCain camp , the false ads and McCains zero dignity. You cannot repair these open wounds.... It's all clear that all of you will do 'anything' to win this election - even if it costs your soul.

Comment: Thank you for this article. I am an Obama supporter and there is a tendency to forget that real human beings are on all sides. I voted for President Bush in 2000 and 2004 on idealogy but this time I'm voting purely on issues. I admire Senator McCain but the "maverick" title ceased reigning true when he selected the political team that smeared him in 2000 and picked probably the least qualified Republican in the country for VP. I, along with many others believe that had he run the campaign he ran in 2000, he would probably be ahead because of lingering questions about Senator Obama. I hope there are others on Senator McCain's team who are taking stock and rethinking some of their tactics but in the event there are not, it's nice to read another side of Steve Schmidt.
Comment: Why not let Schmidt go work for Pelosi and Frank? The way McCain is bouncing around on non-issues, Schmidt can run those two campaigns into the ground because they are the ones that created this whole economic mess.
Comment: The de-regulation started with Charles Keating with support of friend McCain (remember the keating five by chance?) and then fluorished under Reagan. So, go back to the books. Democrats have been in Congress for 2 years compared with republicans for how long? over 20? lost count....
Comment: Imagine you bein a person of color in the 50's and 60's and being asked to wait for your rigths? Could you have waited? It was not by the GOP that blacks got their rights, How patriotic of Mr.Schmidt, to tell gays to wait, how can you be a gay Republican when your own party is trying to destroy every thing you stand for? As evidence of the Raging bigotry of most of the GOP (Mr.Schmidt ) Hep Karl Rove use gays as a wedge in the last election, and the hateful speeches of Sarah Palin are nothing new, same tactics use in 2004, And we are supposed to trust these people , the ones that gave us W? cHENEY? tOM dELAY, nEWT? please, go sell your crazies someplace else.lastlast election.
Comment: Imagine if you were a black person in the 5o's and 60's and you had to wait for your rights? How deceitful and cowardly to ask gay supporters to wait, Don't gay republicans get it that their party wants none of them? That party is as we can clearly see from the event of McCain with all the hateful and way false advertising that Schmidt,Rove,Palin, Cheney and their like are killing the GOP, THE PARTY OF LINCOLN, HOW PATHETIC AND SAD.
Comment: Regardless if this campaign...on both sides...has turned into an exercise in fingerpointing, we MUST remember the issues. Those issues aren't all about our economy. The man who ends up in the White House will have to deal with the huge issues surrounding foreign policy, homeland security, military strategy in Iraq and Afghanistan, issues with Iran, etc.. That is where John McCain shines. That is the man who has the knowledge and years of experience to deal with the hard issues facing us all. Make no mistake...Obama is not ready for the White House where foreign policy is concerned, and that should be a big red flag to every voter in the United States! In the next 4 years, our President will not only be dealing with our country's economic issues, but he WILL have to make some strategic decisions that will affect people, worldwide. Obama is not that man...he is not ready to lead our country, nor to be the most powerful leader in the world. McCain has my vote, and I'm working hard to get all those around me to vote the same.
Comment: Kathleen5. It's the 21st century. No longer about 'experience'. The new currency is capacity to lead.
Better organisation improving knowledge management, including brainstorming ideas. Then the terrorists will not get us anymore. We'll be back in the lead. Learn to rely blazing new trails and not - EXPERIENCE.
To keep America at the bleeding edge of society, we need to lead again NOT; 'My Friends i shall put an end to earmarks'. ...guess who voted for it 'that one'.
I have tried to keep the idea as succinct as possible. Do let me know if you miss any nuances. I'm quite happy to elaborate.

Comment: I should have clarified my point: like we should believe anything she says about Schmidt -- because all she's trying to do is absolve McCain from any wrong-doing and obvious hate-mongering he has APPROVED in this election. She's trying to give him an out... poor McCain. Perhaps she really misses that tire swing?

Comment: Didn't you read about how the Repulician are a bunch of liars, Somebody has to pay the bills, what you want to keep barrowing from China. How long before they own us. They pull babies out in the ninth month and kill them, if the mom has already has one kid, ALL THE TIME. If you think that Republician care about abortion you are a fool. if they made it illeagal, you would not vote for them. They just pull it out every 4 years . One of the first cases Robert G had on the Sup. Court was to allow an inmate to have an abortion at tax payers expense. Actions speak louder then words, they had all the power for 7 years. They could have changed ANYTHING! All they did was go for all the money they could get, deregulating EVERYTHING at the tax payers expense. I will tell you what is sick, the thousands of children being blown up in Iraq, for a lie. All of us are going to be poor for a long time paying to clean up the mess we made there. Check out the facts, the actions, don't go on rumors and beliefs. These people will stop at nothing to trick you, Go to Congress and The Sup. Court websites, check out what these people are doing.
Comment: You are 100% right!. They had 6 years control of everything and did overturned Roe vs Wade? Noooooo, Why? Because they only use for stupid to vote for them instead of issues and if the make it illegal then nothing to hook the brainless on......
Look the statistics! Since Roe vs Wade there was a small peak and since then it has been DECLINING, meaning the abortion rate. It is down when economics are good like with Clinton and worse when economics are bad like with Bush.....Same for divorce, so who are in favor of MORE ABORTION and MORE FAMILY DESTROYED?
You guessed right: REPUBLICANS!!!!!!!!!
Comment: Who the hell cares about Ayers. I do. He and a lot of other activist helped end that damned war in Vietnam. 58,217 American Soldiers died for what.

Comment: no...he did not help end the war...ask him!
The failure to bring all the violencce around the world to the American streets (the real goal), failed so badly the group went underground to hide as long as posible.
The person who ended the war was Nixon. The removal of US troops there began and continued when Nixon took over. and continued to the 1972-73 timeframe.
Johson got the war all turned into a mess! And therefor announced to not run for office a second time.

Comment: So, Schmidt doesn't like being thought of as Rove? Then he should stop acting like him. That McCain's campaign has sunk so low that it brings out the worst in Americans speaks volumes about the character of the candidate and the campaign managers.
Comment: I just want to be sure I understand you correctly. If McCain had been hanging out and doing stuff with KKK guys over the last 15 years or so, it would NOT be an issue for you or Obama's campaign, right? Just want to make sure we're on the same page. So if Obama got upset about it, he'd be playing dirty, right?
Comment: whocaresanymore2008, I think you're comparing apples to oranges. Obama and Ayers served on an education reform board together - a board that was selected by a Republican head of the Annenberg Foundation. Are you accusing all of the Republicans and Democrats other than Obama sitting on the board of also "palling around with a terrorist?" Obama never selected Ayers as a member of the board and Ayers is not an advisor to the Obama campaign. And considering the fact that Ayers committed his acts more than 40 years ago, I still don't see how his actions are relevant to Obama and why Obama should be held responsible for Ayers' actions. McCain has also been around shady people in his past, but I don't think McCain should be held responsible for those actions as well. And if you're going to talk about the KKK issue, if McCain simply knew a former klansman through sitting on a board with him, I wouldn't care. I would care if McCain wore that hood right along with him, however. The guilt by association is petty and irrelevant.
Comment: Like I said, McCain/Palin/Schmidt have brought out the worst in people.
Comment: Go to a search engine and type in Fitna, and watch the video, should remove any doubt about who to vote for.
Obama First Met Ayers At A 1995 Meeting Of Local Liberal Activists That Took Place In Ayers' Home.
The Meeting Launched Obama's Illinois State Senate Candidacy And Allowed Ayers To Introduce Him "To The Hyde Park Community As The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread."
From 1999 To 2002, Obama Served With Ayers On The Board Of Directors For The Woods Fund Of Chicago.
"[Obama And Ayers] Have Also Appeared Jointly On Two Academic Panels, One In 1997 And Another In 2001."
In 1997, Obama Reviewed Ayers' Book, A Kind And Just Parent: The Children Of Juvenile Court, In The Chicago Tribune, Calling It "A Searing And Timely Account Of The Juvenile Court System."
"From 1995 To 1999, [Barack Obama] Led An Education Foundation Called The Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), And Remained On The Board Until 2001. ??? The CAC Was The Brainchild Of Bill Ayers???"
"Ayers And Obama Were Also Part Of A Group Of Four Instructed To Draft The Bylaws That Would Govern CAC. Surely That Endeavor Would Have Involved Significant Interaction Between Them. Then There's The Question Of Unrecorded Meetings Of Both The Board And The Collaborative."
"As CAC Board Chair, Obama Was Essentially Authorizing The Funding Of Ayers's Own Educational Projects, And The Projects Of Ayers's Radical Allies."
"Ayers And Obama Guided CAC Money To Community Organizers, Like ACORN (The Association Of Community Organizations For Reform Now) And The Developing Communities Project (Part Of The Gamaliel Foundation Network), Groups Self-Consciously Working In The Radical Tradition Of Saul Alinsky."
"The Chicago Annenberg Challenge Stands As Barack Obama's Most Important Executive Experience To Date. By Its Own Account, CAC Was A Largely A Failure."
"The Failure Of CAC Thus Raises Entirely Legitimate Questions, Both About Obama's Competence, His Alliances With Radical Community Organizers, And About Ayers's Continuing Influence Over CAC And Its Board, Headed By Obama."
"The Obama Campaign Has Struggled To Downplay That Association. ??? Yet Documents In The CAC Archives Make Clear That Mr. Ayers And Mr. Obama Were Partners In The CAC."
Ayers Is "Flatly Unrepentant About The Bombings." (Ben Smith, "Obama Once Visited '60s Radicals," The Politico, 2/22/08)
In 2001, Ayers Did Not Express Regret For His Past Conduct And Even Claimed The Weather Underground "Didn't Do Enough" Bombings. (Russell Berman, "Obama's Ties To Left Come Under Scrutiny," The New York Sun, 2/19/08)
Comment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyspCRmJv7w
Comment: Can we please talk about real issues? This year I'm switching from voting Republican like I always have and I am now going to vote Obama. Why? Because crazies have taken over the Republican party. The Democratic party used to be the party of crazies, but it's as though Bush has somehow stolen the party that my family believed held the ideals of America and turned that party into trash.
Obama is not muslim, is not a terrorist, is not a socialist and not a communist. He is not advocating wealth redistribution. We have a national debt from hell (a deferred tax brought on by the past Republican presidents... yes we can admit to our mistakes). And if we don't pay it now then our children will even more so.
So guess what. The poor can't pay more. The middle class can't pay much more. The rich spend money to find every loophole they can so they don't have to pay taxes. So if fixing America means having to have those that benefit the most off of Lady Liberty give a little more back, then so be it! we need to fix our national debt before the country gets in any more debt to China. Or else we WILL be a communist country and we can then only blame ourselves.
Comment: And the rich guy keeps you in a job. When Obama takes over (God help us). there won't be any job for you to keep.
