Comment: Michael Phelps is an American hero to me not just because the gold medals he won but also the sportsmanship, modesty and decency that he had shown the world.

Comment: As for the difference between Dara and Michael choosing endorsements? Well, Michael's appeal is rather limited if you think about it. He has the audience of adolescent girls and younger boys who idolize him. What could he possible sell to them besides fast-food and sugary cereal? Unfortunately, he doesn't have the charisma or the personality that Dara has. His choices are limited. With Dara, she appeals to young girls, the middle-aged, both male and female and other professional athletes who are asking her for advice on their workouts. She has charisma and an aura about her that gives her endless opportunities. Not to mention her supermodel looks. So, Michael's choices are limited and Dara's are endless. Just one more of her genetic gifts.
