Tide Of Intolerance

It is unfortunate that one religious group would want to destroy people belonging to another religious group because of divergent opinions. That raises a fundamental question of where love, tolerance, human rights are with such religious groups? What are they preaching? My opinion is that a religious group that would destroy people's lives is certainly evil. From what I know, christians may try to convince people that what they believe in is correct, but they will never kill anyone who did not believe in Christ.

To the Indian national and state government I am just one voice and one body. But I do have power. I have the power to ask my fellow Christians here in America to join me in stopping buying Indian products until the atrocities are stopped. (I am sorry for all those Indians that are not involved that might get affected but I don't know what better to way for one person to make an impact.)

Because of the Christian's current plight in India, I will no longer buy anything that comes from India until this religious intolerance is stopped. I don't have much power but what I do have I will use!!! MMS

What a bunch of morons you all are! These are people who are over there taking care of children in orphanages who's parents either died or were abandoned. Nobody else takes care of these children, that is why they are over there. I'm sure you wouldn't be saying these kind of things if an Oprah Organization were being targeted. These are human beings trying to make the world better by taking care of those who can't take care of themselves. I don't think they deserver your hypocrisy or persecution.

Actually the situation is more complex then that. I would be more concerned about the Hindu-Muslim intolerance than the Hindu-Christian. The anti-Christian violence is more due to class differences than religion. It sure isn't helped by the jingoism of the VHP & BJP. Nor do the various non-Indian Missionaries. Also there are many vibrant, successful& healthy mixed Hindu-Christian communities in western parts of India e.g. Kerala. Actually they form the bulk of Indian Christians, How do you account for their success?

Sumit, where was your article when 2000 muslims died in Gujarat? How many articles have you written? How many times?

I have a family in the village of Hatasuku, South Orissa with whom I correspond. I think, but am not sure, that they are Christian. Are they in any danger? If so, how could I be of assistance? nth
