Zooming In on Candidate Sarah Palin

A lot has been said about Obama and his ties to "shady characters", yet his numbers keep climbing in the polls. It could be explained by: a) People does not believe the claims, b) People is at ease with the claims, c) People has stopped caring either way, or d) All of the above. I know of something Obama did not do: He did not chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. It is a sad day for feminism when the individual selected to run for the highest office was chosen because of her gender and her condition as a mother. Yet Ms. Palin would still "pallin around" with patrons at the Mugshot Saloon if Mr. MCain had not taken her out of Alaska. So much for a Maverick.

Since Jane Bryant Quinn recommended Emerging Market Funds about 2 months ago, I've lost 50%. Any colomnist that wrong does not belong in your magazine. I only hope she followed her own advice.

The Vice President has just one--AND ONLY ONE--job: to be prepared to be president of the United States, the most powerful and complex nation in an enormously complex world. For anyone to suggest that Sarah Palin is qualified to do this, the only job of a Vice President of the United States, is to show their colors as a blind ideologue. In the last two months, the only thing Palin has shown any aptitude for is attack politics. This woman is running to be ready to take over control of this country, in case something happens to a president who has had cancer three times, and is in remission, not cured. Come on, folks. The second entry on this woman's list of qualifications is "President of the PTA."

With just two weeks left until the election and so much on the line, it???s more important than ever that the media did their jobs and vet Governor Sarah Palin for the American people. Mainly, because Senator McCain apparently didn???t.

Here are just a few questions that are fair game for the media to ask, especially considering these same sorts of inquiries have been leveled at Sens. Obama, McCain and Biden:

Ask Gov. Palin about the details surrounding her Pentecostal faith and to clarify why she stands on altars with witch doctors.
Ask her if she believes that being gay can be cured through prayer.
Ask her about her and Todd's ties to the Alaska Independence Party, which vows Alaska's secession from the Union (Country First, right?).
Ask her to release her husband Todd's divorce papers.
Ask to see the medical records from when Trig was born.
Ask her about her numerous lies, from the bogus Bridge to Nowhere claim and the bogus Sudan divestment claim to the bogus claim about selling her private jet on ebay.
Ask her why "family values" don't work in her own family.
Ask her how she can possibly stand up for women's rights when she's so vehemently opposed to a core women's issue???of choice.
And finally, ask her why she went to 5 colleges in 6 years to finish a bachelor's degree in journalism.

All the other candidates have been drilled incessantly with hard questions. So we???re simply asking you in the media to do is something Gov. Palin herself proposes: "Drill, baby, drill!"

Let's take a moment an examine Senator Biden and Governor Palin. Biden had several medical deferments before it was decided that his health would not allow him to serve in Vietnam, due to childhood asthma. However, in Biden's book "Promises to Keep" there is no mention to childhood asthma; quite the opposite, he regales his teenage years with stories about playing football, and being a life guard. In July of 94, he voted against a measure to allow schools to have VOLUNTARY prayer during school hours and at school functions. In Dec. of 1995 Biden voted against a proposed amendment to the Constitution that would prohibit the burning of the American flag. In Nov. 1999 Biden voted against increasing penalties for drug offenses. In 2004 Biden voted against a bill that would make it a criminal offense to harm a fetus during a hate crime. In 2006 Biden voted to allow illegal aliens to receive social security benefits. And in Mar. of this year Biden voted against a bill that would that would prohibit minors from crossing state lines to get abortions. Palin on the other hand does not have a voting record in senatorial matters because she is a Governor. However we see that unlike Biden and Obama, she is for gun rights, against abortion. Palin is for helping kids with disabilities, such as autism and Down syndrome. Also Governor Palin who is 44 seems to be in good health. Biden on the other hand is 66 and has already suffered 2 near fatal brain aneurysms.

I also am disgusted by the way Palin drags "her" special needs baby around with her exposing him to so many germs and disruption of a regular schedule. If she feels she needs that baby with her at the rallys to get elected, then she obviously doesn't think there is must substance to herself either! Anyone can have a baby, it is how it is treated, and I don't think using a baby as a selling point, is good mothering, nor does it make a good vice president!

Sarah Palin is nasty, vicious, and will do anything, and everything to get what she wants! She fired everyone when she got into office, so she could have only friends and family working for her. (and assuring "loyalty!") When she bacame Governor, she rarely showed up for work, and the legislators began wearing, "WHERE'S SARAH?" buttons. She allowed rape vicitoms to be charged for the rape kits backed b the thinking that the victims were most likely "asking for it", or falsely accusing people! What is that ? Fronteer justice? I guess according to HER thinking, the victim is presumed guilty until proven a real vicitm! Why does her little town have an outrageous 45 running METH LABS, that were in use during her time as Mayor, and are STILL up and running? Why isn't anyone talking about her breach of ethics with "Trooper-Gate?" How about her failure to pay her taxes sufficiently? How about her bad judgment of going on an 8 hour flight from Texas to Alaska, risking the life of a special needs child, who if born on a plane could have been denied necessary medical and surgical help, not available on a plane? (not to mention a possible emergency landing, causing expense, inconvenience, and endangering the lives of passengers!) The woman DOES AS SHE PLEASES, DAMN THE REST! She just seems like a spoild petulant child, who acts out her rage by the slaughter of innocent animals from helicopters using high powered rifles. Sorry, THAT person, is NOT MY Vice President! She is Cheney and worse! (but with a better moustache!)
