Obama in this video, addressing his work with ACORN litigation relating to the community reinvestment act and the failure of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, as they relate to the current real estate and financial crisis, states that, and I quote:

???Subprime lending started out as a good idea, helping Americans buy homes who previously could not afford to. Financial institutions created new financial instruments that could securitize these loans, slice them into finer and finer risk categories, and spread them out among investors and around the country, as well as around the world. In theory, this should have allowed mortgage lending to be less risky, and more diversified.???

??? The original idea was a good one, which was, lets see if we can distribute risk more broadly, and make it easier to provide loans to people who otherwise might not be able to get one.???

Listen for yourself. You cannot dispute the mans on words recorded live:

Obama in this second video is campaigning at a convention of Acorn and I believe two other ???Community Activist??? organizations. Ask if he will be their ally if he becomes President, Obama says, quote:

???Yes, but let me say that before I even get inaugurated, during the transition we are going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda. We???re going to be having meetings all across the country with community organizations so that you have input into the agenda for the next presidency of the United States of America.

See and hear it for yourself. Obama promised that Acorn and other groups like it will setting his agenda if elected:

(oops!) stating that Freddie Mac was spending tax payer money to target Republicans in 2005 who were trying to regulate Fannie and Freddies fraud. Democrats were not targeted, as the were all in the tank with Fannie and Freddie to kill the regulations. Hear that, the article admits that Republicans were trying to regulate Freddie and Fannie, and Democrats were trying to stop it from happening as a means to facilitate the Community Reinvestment Act.

    Does education matter?

Barack Obama graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a specialization in international Relations and political science. Attended Columbia University and earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.)from Harvard Law School. Senator from Illinois.

      RE:"Does education matter?"

Considering G.W. graduated from Yale........does it matter?

      • Posted By: bartsimpson2008 @ 10/23/2008 6:20:57 PM

Considering both George Bush and John McCain finished near the bottom of their classes and Obama finished near the top of his classes. Yes it matters! If you are interviewing a new employee for your business and one finished in the top 5% of their class from Harvard and the other candidate also graduated from Harvard but finished in the bottom 5% who would you choose?

        • Posted By: SPIRITED AWAY @ 10/23/2008 6:24:23 PM

And I guess being a follower of Alinsky makes Obama even more qualified, huh?

          • Posted By: bartsimpson2008 @ 10/23/2008 6:27:40 PM

Your attempt to smear Obama by association instead of rebutting my post with tales of John McCain and Sarah Palins intelligence and accomplishments speaks volumes about the republican candidates,

            • Posted By: SPIRITED AWAY @ 10/23/2008 6:32:09 PM

RE:'Your attempt to smear Obama by association'

Ever read Alinsky? Telling the TRUTH is not the same as smearing. And associations do matter......BIG TIME!

Still have nothing positive to say about McCain and Palin?

                • Posted By: SPIRITED AWAY @ 10/23/2008 6:44:34 PM

Sure I do. For starters they LOVE this country. Mac is a patriot and war hero. And Palin is so down to earth you can't help but like her. And she is a Governor and she stood up to big oil. Not to mention I LOVE the fact that she has been bringing up Barky's pals. Your man has quite a shady past. And well, hell, to be honest they AREN"T SOCIALISTS in DEMOCRATS clothing!

Klicker you ought to take another look at just who our troops are voting for and just who our vets reall want to see be the president in November. You won't be surprised cause we and you already know we need a change in the office and it isn't McCain or the possible replacer / takeover Palin. Surprising how many vets really support Obama for his run for President and how they feel he will support them in a positive way.

    • Posted By: klicker @ 10/23/2008 4:49:44 PM

Let me ask you this . . . where have you gotten your information as to which troops are voting for whom? Point me in the direction of where you get your facts and I will gladly read all about it.

Boy, are you gullible. Comes from watching Fox i suppose.

Here is the rest of the story. And i am quoting from your article.

The results of the Military Times 2008 Election Poll are NOT representative of the opinions of the military as a whole. The group surveyed is older, more senior in rank and less ethnically diverse than the overall armed services.

And it further states that the survey (not a poll) was voluntary and unscientific. Therefore it has a smuch validity as one of those post-debate FOX phone in surveys that show McCain winning by 86%. LOL!

Try to do the basic research before you post silly stuff like this and you won't loojk so foolish. And i did say gullible giving you the benefit of the doubt. I hope it wasn't deliberate deceit...

          • Posted By: SPIRITED AWAY @ 10/23/2008 5:31:47 PM

I have active military family members-ALL voting McCain. I have 8 retired military family members-ALL voting McCain. And I've done my research. Let the votes fall where they may. But, if Obama wins (which I still strongly doubt), you will be one of the ones to blame when our great democracy withers away under the new regime. And when the next Revolution begins.....I wonder, where will YOU stand?

            • Posted By: neos @ 10/23/2008 6:05:37 PM

        Candidates are rated by veterans.

        Disabled Veterans of America (DAV)
        Obama 80%
        McCain 20%

Iraq and Afghan Vets of America (IAVA)
        Obama B+
        McCain D

This is why McCain was almost pleading to vets at the end of the second debate. He knows what the score is, and so do we. Actions ,not words, Senator.

Ask any vet with Gulf War Syndrome or any parent who has lost a vet and any vet who has fought in Iraq or in Viet Nam and you will get your answer from both the men and the women who served. They all were proud to serve and protect our rights, Constitution and did so with Honor but they know and want change and McCain / Palin, the stand by President, is not the answer. If she were in power they would be - - - -.

Obama gets massive amounts of hedge fund money, including GEORGE SOROS, who is probably getting rich off of everyone else's misfortune at this very moment, so I find Obama's invocation of Joe the hedge fund manager to be MORE THAN A LITTLE DISINGENUOUS.

    Obama is NOT A STRAIGHT-SHOOTER.

Three surveys -- from the Associated Press-GfK, George Washington University and an Investors Business Daily/TIPP poll - - show McCain closing the gap with Obama.

The AP poll puts Obama at 44 percent to McCain's 43 percent, compared with a 7 percentage point advantage for Obama in their September survey. The GW Battleground poll showed Obama's edge at 2 points, down from 7 points in the middle of October, while the IDB/TIPP tracking survey has the margin for the Democrat narrowing to 1 point from 5 points at the start of the week.

By the way, speaking of TV, I think it's hilarious that the next Prez could owe his office to a TV star. What am I talking about, you might ask? Well, I'll put it as concisely as possible: Obama was legislator from Illinois. No bid deal; the Democratic Party of Cook County (Chicago) supported him. Then...a certain US Senator named Ryan goes into a hostile divorce situation and his wife reveals that he tried to goad her into various sexual activities with strangers. Sen. Ryan resigns, opening up his position. The party anoints Obama for the Democratic nomination and he wins. Hardly into the job, he runs for Prez.

The TV star? Jerri Ryan, aka "Seven of Nine" from Star Trek Voyager. Seriously. It was in the papers here in
Chicago back when Obama was unknown. I think it's kind of amusing---and confusing, too. Why would anyone have wanted to "share" a wife that beautiful?

Anyway, if she doesn't make a public stink for Sen Ryan, he doesn't quit. If he doesn't quit, there's no opening for the US Senate position. And no US Senator Obama. And no Prez Obama---at least not this year...

Bottom line: Jerri Ryan/Seven of Nine changed the American collective's leadership !!! True !!!!!!!!

Obama had better hope that he doesn't piss people off by cutting into their prime time t.v. or pre-game commentary. He might also hope that people don't get the idea that this is just the beginning of him taking over and dominating our lives with his liberal agenda. It's bad enough that we have to listen to campaign ads for a minute or two at a time, 30 minutes will seem like an eternity. People are already sick of it, this may just push them over the edge. Definately risky. We'll see is he gets his $6 million worth.

Prime time TV? Pre-game Commentary? Oh, my God! Nooooo! What will I do if some articulate and intelligent person wants to lay out his plans for how he will try to rectify the problems created by the current administration and make our lives a little better? How will I live without the inane babble of has-been ball players drooling all over their microphones with BS statistics that no one cares about anyway? Get over yourself. • Posted By: Destiny1028 @ 10/23/2008 4:36:27 PM

StevenNavy, you are so right. I freaking laugh at McCain or Palin questioning Obama's character. McCain has so many skeletons in his closet. Let's not talk about Palin and her husband's(He was a member) ties to an Anti-American group, Alaskan Independence Party. Obama has chose to take the high road and keep McCain's and Palin's skeletons in the closet.

    • Posted By: 4astrongamerica @ 10/23/2008 5:06:26 PM

Really???Is that why they sent a team of 30 investigators to Alaska to turn Gov. Palin's life inside out. To find any bit of trash that they could find. Let me guess, they went to all that effort and found all kinds of ammunition against her and then decide to keep it under wraps. LOL!

      • Posted By: Hannah B @ 10/23/2008 5:48:58 PM

Obama didn't have to send anyone to Alaska; that was the media. And it wouldn't have been done if she had been smart enough to recognize that she was not ready to be VP. Besides the media has to vet her since McCain and/or his campaign didn't bother to do a good enough job themselves!!!!!!!!!

      • Posted By: 4astrongamerica @ 10/23/2008 5:11:36 PM

NO. McCain has played by the rules that have been set forth by Congress and has reached his maximum allowable contributions. Obama on the other hand, played dirty and set out to buy this election at all costs. There are many of us that are still more than willing to contribute, he is just bound by his commitment which is something Obama has proven he knows nothing about. Campaign finance is just one example, his voting record another. Check it out!

        • Posted By: ly81 @ 10/23/2008 5:42:20 PM

Most of Obama's donations have come from average citizens in the amount of $200 or less. Check that out. He hasn't taken any public funds, as promised. I have researched both voting records closely - McCain's leaves much to be desired. "Buy the election"? Please...

People should be mad for all the part y-money to be spent, while hundreds of millions are suffering during the economic crisis, the unemployed, the homeless, the elderly and the children. He reminds us of the (filthy rich) party-animals, who happen to dictators of the communist countries such as China, North Korea and Vietnam. Is he still a cigarette-smoking playboy who grew up in Hawaii and Indonesia, or simply an arrogant or cocky man??

  • Posted By: ol' shortie @ 10/23/2008 4:38:56 PM

Well, for all the lies being spread, I think some of you should think of what the real McCain is like. 1) He ranked 594th in his class at the Naval Academy of 598. (Even GW Bush wasn't that bad!) 2) He returned from Vietnam to find his wife had been horribly hurt in an auto accident. What did he do? He began having "numerous affairs" (his words) and then began an affair with Cindy, whom he eventually married. All this time he left his 3 young children to deal with their mother's injuries and rehabilitation. Nice guy! His first thought when the current meltdown began was that it was caused by too much regulation of the banks and mortgage companies and that they should be further deregulated (see speech of Sept. 23, 2008). He's a real steady guy, isn't he?

    • Posted By: Thisisajoke @ 10/23/2008 4:46:16 PM

Obama has not released any of his information except a one page letter that he is in good health.
      What is he hiding?
Also Biden has lied about his wife being killed by a drunk driver when it was never shown the man,
had drank. The accident report thought she had turned around to look in the back seat. There
is always plenty of blame in these situations and it was very tragic and I am saddened. We have
lost several family members to tragedy so don't tell me I don't know what it feels like. He made
this man and his family live with guilt all of their lives and his lies added to it. So the Democrats are not squeaky clean. Oh I forgot it's o.k. for liberals to not have morals, but the republicans are a horse of a different color.

      • Posted By: Hannah B @ 10/23/2008 5:37:06 PM

Yeah, which is soooooo tricky; instead do it like McCain did it. Pick a few select people to get access to a 1200 page document for 15 mins and not be able to take notes, make copies, have access to cell phones or bring medical professionals with them to interpret the info. That is SO MUCH MORE forthcoming!

You are so worried about Obama's health? You need to be worried about this economy & why Palin spend so much money on her clothes when she is a hocky mom & trying to appeal to middle class people.

Delores, you are living in fantasy land or a parallel universe. Obama hangs with Bill Ayers, even launches his political career from his living room and the press says, no big deal. He hooks up with Tony Rezko for a sweetheart deal on a house, press says no big deal. His pastor of 20 years is a flaming anti America racist bigot and the press says not important. He is the second largest benefactor of Fannie and Freddie when it comes to political contributions, no story here. The former head of Freddie works for his campaign and who cares. His wife sits in a suite in a hotel eating caviar and lobster-let em eat cake-and we're worried about what Sarah Palin's wardrobe, that will be donated to charity, cost. What world are you living in? Name one hard question the fawning press has gone after Obama on, just one. You can lie to everyone else but good grief at least don't lie to yourself.

Another Obama publicity stunt, like Germany and Mile High Stadium. Truthfully its not Obama I'm worried about. It's that radical, left wing ,big government, elitist Pelosi. If Obama is the president, he will owe her all kinds of favors for bullying the superdelegates into nominating him. Pelosi will spend the next two years running up and down Pennsylvania Avenue with spending bills, bail outs, tax increases, etc. I hope the democrats vote for Hoyer as speaker in January. I'd love to see the look on her botoxed face when she is lifted by her surgically altered buttocks and tossed out of the Speaker's Chair

Obama's piece isn't Hollywood speaking,it is the main street American, man, woman and youth of all religions and colors, including white, voters speaking out and asking and will be getting the changes we need so desperately for ourselves. Want to see how the world views this election look the the latest issue of THE American Heart Beat magazine THE READERS DIGEST NOVEMBER ISSUE on their polls.

He tells the middle class exactly what they want to hear durinig desperate times, not what would be better for the US as a whole. "I'm going to grab from the rich and give to the poor." 'Yeah", yells the middle class. "Let's all vote for him because he's going to help ME!" But does socialism help us in the long run, no. Did you ever think about how many of those people that are making $250,000 a year or more WERE lower or middle class folks and worked their way up to that point? Don't you think this gives our children, the children that are trying to educate themselves and are paying college loans and making all the right decisions in their lives 2nd thoughts about if they should even continue to go that route if they're going to get reamed for it in the future??? Let's do the best we can to success only to find ourselves taking care of many who don't care enough to take care of themselves. God forbid anyone takes responsibility for the decisions they've made in their lives and try to handle things on their own. Why should anyone try to succeed when we have government and our fellow Americans paying our way in life. McCain tells you what will work for the US as a whole and the American people, not what the middle class want to hear since majority of the votes are middle class. It's a sad, sad state of affairs.

Given the number of early voters in this election, my guess is that the Obama program will be extremely reassuring and very upbeat, a final presentation of the reasons why Americans should put their trust in Sen. Obama. It will be intended to seal the deal with any remaining undecided voters -- and there aren't many of those left.

If Obama is certain to win this race why is he still spending so much of that money he got from Rezko, and over seas on political ads?

Why won't any one call this what it obviously is - "MONEY LAUNDERING"??
