I am sure you will understand if we don't put much credence in the polls of this particular far left periodical. By the way, I have searched and searched and can't seem to find an article on the Khalidi tappes being held hostage by another forthright publication, the LA Times. I am certain you have all hands on deck researching and uncovering the truth behind this possible game changing matter. It does seem to solidify Obama's pattern and history of associating with and befriending radicals with at the very least terroristic leanings.

The Los Angeles Times is refusing to release a videotape that it says shows Barack Obama praising a Chicago professor who was an alleged mouthpiece for the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was a designated terrorist group in the 1970s and '80s.

According an LA Times article written by Peter Wallsten in April, Obama was a "friend and frequent dinner companion" of Rashid Khalidi, who from 1976 to1982 was reportedly a director of the official Palestinian press agency, WAFA, which was operating in exile from Beirut with the PLO.

In the article -- based on the videotape obtained by the Times -- Wallsten said Obama addressed an audience during a 2003 farewell dinner for Khalidi, who was Obama's colleague at the University of Chicago, before his departure for Columbia University in New York. Obama said his many talks with Khalidi and his wife Mona stood as "consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases."

This Smells like a major Cover-Up of Obama's TRUE OBJECTIVES and a cover-up of his Background of "Associates" That "Live in the Neighborhood". WHY IS OBAMA HIDING THIS FROM THE COUNTRY???

Media Flash another media cover up as the L A Times refuses to turn over a tape of obama celebrating with terrorist while they talk doom for Israel....just another reason he is not worthy of the office of president.America we deserve honesty, integrity and character obama lacks all of the attributes. We deserve better America.

Why would one support obama?Simple if one does not want to work for a living but still live well the obama plan will allow for this as they will take money from business as well as those who work and distribute it to those who lack the ambition for work. This will allow those with no ambition to find their inner self and par take in peace love& drugs supplied by the government as well.

Kerk: you need to read some history, bud. Hitler, an extreme right-winger, wasn't a communist -- in fact, he was anti-communist, which was part of his appeal to disgruntled and dispirited Germans at the time. And a lot of his rhetoric was akin to what's being shouted at McCain/Palin rallies today. He used their same negative talking points and drove a "Country First!" campaign. Nothing Obama has proposed is socialist, communisst or Nazi. In fact, his tax break for 95% of working Americans -- allowing earners to keep more of their money -- is downright capitalist! If you want to see an example of socialism in America today, look at Bush using taxpayer money to buy government ownership in private banks last week. That's really socialist.

There was this communist guy who took over a country. The first thing he did was to stop immigration. No one was allowed into the country , or out of the country. The second thing he did was to seal , close the borders. The third thing he did was to reduce trade with other countries. The people could not buy or sell products to or from other countries. Because of the reduced trade, there were few jobs, and even fewer food. Citizens of this country were literally starving, and had no way to better their situations. The communist guy however was wealthy , and good at lying, and he maintained his position of wealth, while citizens went without. The fourth thing the communist did was to beef up the military. Every citizen male and female of all ages were required to do military service. If you didn't do your military, you were fined and or imprisoned. The fifth thing the communist did was to make / require that all children work free labor.
All of these things were done by Hitler in Nazi Germany. All of these five things have been stated by obama as what he intends to do as president of america. So, wake up people!!! obama is a communist!
so, a vote for obama is a vote for communism.

After 9/11, the US government started rounding up Muslims without cause and without due process of law, like we did to the Japanese Americans in WWII. The Bush administration called it's main internment camp Guantanamo Bay. While there are certainly many guilty terrorists held in Guantanamo, there are also many innocent American citizens who have been held illegally for years without even being charged with any crime. They have been tortured by our government. Some of them have died.

Recently the Supreme Court ruled against the Bush administration in the matter of Guantanamo Bay. The Supreme Court Justices were NOT on the side of the terrorists. They were on the side of the Geneva Convention, that says you can not torture POWs, and on the side of US laws that state you can not imprison a person without charging them with a crime and bringing them to trial. I'm sure that like most Americans, the Justices who voted against the illegal, immoral doings at Guantanamo didn't feel sympathy for the terrorists. They felt sympathy for the laws of AMERICA, the land of the FREE, where even rat finks get a fair trial.

Meanwhile, back in Iraq, the Bush administration is busy trying to build a smokescreen to hide the CRIMES they have committed. Those pesky weapons of mass destruction. Just think, the National Debt went up over 6 trillion dollars under Bush. More than 2 TRILLION of it went directly into the pockets of Halliburton, a corporation owned by the Cheney family. Halliburton is now a DUBAI corporation and therefore is not subject to US taxes. All that money they took out of the US Treasury is going into the coffers of a MUSLIM country.

Did you hear about how the US government is being charged millions for Halliburton deliveries of sand into Iraq from Kuwait? Sand. Like there is a shortage of sand in Iraq? Another contractor shipped sand from Idaho to Iraq at our expense. Nobel prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz discusses these and other excesses of our current government's out of control spending in Iraq.

Your grandchildren will be working like slaves to pay off this debt, so that the Bushes and Cheneys can live the high life in Dubai.

Yeah, they're patriots, Bush&Co. They wear flag pins. And hide the money they stole from America in Dubai.

And they want me to believe that Obama is a socialist. Right.

In case you think McCain is any different than Bush, watch this:

There will always be rumors that is design to affect the minds of the individuals who are doing well in the election but we cannot stop the rumors so what should we do?

Well, the fundamental problems are still number one in our minds and they are jobs for our selves and our children, retirement for us all, peace instead of war so our children can live and enjoy the fruits of our labor. We must demonstrate that our way, the American way of life, can work for this world.

We need to keep the young people in our minds, and we need to understand them they are different but we made them. They are what we aspire to be but could not accomplished it because of our past.

We have a chance, just look at your children and grandchildren.

Wow, I never knew 21% of Americans earn less than $15,000/ year, and 76% earn less than $50,000/year.

How can we not support a middle-class tax break for America's struggling families? Why would we continue to give tax breaks to Corporate America who already do not pay their fair share of our nation's income tax. Our next President needs to support the our Main St. families , not the ConocoPhillips', the ExxonMobils', and the Shells' of America. They need to start giving tax breaks to the growing renewable energy industry, NOT BIg Oil!

There are counties in the Mississippi Delta where 10K/annum is big money. We have plenty of poverty right here in America.

Obama's ill-conceived programs will require him to tax, and his health care plan alone is a substantial hidden tax on all business, large an small. In reality, it does not really matter who he taxes, those taxes are going to be passed through the economy. He has to tax, because it is they only way he can pay for his massive social engineering experiments. Any first year economics student knows that taxation is a tool used to contract an economy experiencing inflation, because it reduces demand by reducing the amount of money individuals and businesses have to spend. It is contractionary, which is exactly what you do not want to do when the problem is that the economy is contracting already into recession. Like Hoover and FDR, Obama's plans will only make it worse for longer.

    See e.g. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/10/03/opinion/main4499465.shtml
    And
    http://newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla/FDR-s-Policies-Prolonged-Depression-5409.aspx

How many full-time employees with benefits does a person with a $50,000 income personally employ? For most, none. How many does a person with $250,000 employ? One less under Obama???s tax plan, two less if you include Obama???s health plan.

Yeah, because everyone agrees the New Deal was a terrible idea. It's not like it pulled us out of the great depression or anything... I think 'Now For' is hoping for some non-book-learnin' types to buy what he's selling... Good luck with that.

Down to 5 points from 12 according to Zogby.
"THINGS ARE TRENDING BACK FOR MCCAIN. HIS NUMBERS ARE RISING AND OBAMA'S ARE DROPPING ON A DAILY BASIS. There seems to be a direct correlation between this and McCain talking about the economy," pollster John Zogby said.
OBAMA'S LEAD AMONG VOTERS MAKING LESS THAN $35,000 PER YEAR REMAINS SUBSTANTIAL AT A LITTLE OVER 70 PERCENT. But McCain, who had previously scored well only with the highest income brackets, now holds slight leads among voters in all income groups starting at $35,000 and above. "You've got to think that it is tax-and-spend that concerns them???" Zogby said.

  • Posted By: Nowforthetruth @ 10/26/2008 8:29:20 PM

This is real simple economics. How many full-time employees with benefits does a person with a $50,000 income personally employ? For most, none. How many does a person with $250,000 employ? One less under Obama's tax plan, two less if you include Obam's health plan.

NEWS ANCHOR FAILS IN AN ATTEMPT TO SMEAR SENATOR OBAMA AS MARXIST DURING INTERVIEW WITH SENATOR BIDEN

First the backdrop. Barbara West is married to Wade West, a political and media consultant for Republican politicians, professionals and organizations. Not sure if Senator Biden knew that when he sat down to do the interview. Barbara also is an ABC News Anchor with Orlando, Florida affiliate WFTV channel 9, which is owned by Cox Enterprise.

But with all her so-call 'professional objectivity', Barbara could not resist the temptation to smear Senator Obama with Marxist questions while interviewing Senator Joe Biden. Either way, Senator Biden handled himself very well. This is a "must see" video.

GOD Bless the United States of America!
GOD Bless the Obama-Biden Leadership Team!

    THE GREAT BUSH DEPRESSION
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He was the last to know somthing was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. Check out this link to the truth http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideo
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
Let's teach him we are smarter than that
Stand up and hold them accountable
Bush isn't on the ballot this year but his policies are
    Elect Obama Biden 2008

Check out this video of sarah palins interview and ask your self if she understands what she is talking about.
