I have some info for Joe The Plumber. The military released the names of 9 American Soldiers killed in Iraq last week. You sir are a joke. Pay your damned taxes or move out of the U. S.

The republican party is really sick if all they have for a hero is you sir.

It is not the Republican Party or the Democratic party that make this man a hero. The media is responsible for giving the ignorant the idea of what they think a hero should be. Give the title HERO to the person YOU the "idependent thinker" thinks deserves the title.

Sarah Palin has caused this country to revert back to blatant racism. They love her. She represents the people who border on superior and bigotry. They swamp her rallys. Anyone, with any sense would stop and think, what if something happens to McCain. Is the person we want meeting our foreign diplomats and representing America. NOOOOOOOOOO. If, you like her so much. Give her a talk showl. She would do great. She has the lack of integrity down, maybe she could be the next Jerry Springer.

According to vice presidential nominee Sarah Pallin, Obama is acting as if he's already won the election and had already written his inaugural address.

According to Pallin," Barack Obama and I both have spent quite some time on the basketball court, but where I come from; you have to win the game before you start cutting down the net."

    YOU GO GIRL!

Anyone who would quote Sarah Palin is condemned to vote for her. You go guy or gal or whatever mouth-breathing gender you may be.

You are right....a disciple of Karl Marx is the right way to go....Work is for Losers....all the brothers get a 40 oz a day under Hussein....and at least 2 rocks per week...PARADISE on Earth....

        NOBAMA!!!

Palin has evolved from McCain's robotic arm to a Frankenstein Monster. I have respected McCain for his integrity and courage as a POW. To demonstrate that he has not lost these qualities, it is imperative for McCain to nix Palin immediately, at any costs.

  • Posted By: Bass Pro @ 10/26/2008 3:44:20 PM

McCain has stated that he will win and really has won. Even though I may be behing in the Polls 51% - 42%, McCain said, I really have 60% support and Palin has 10% so i can still be president, Right? Right/

"... no one but him will own his defeat." ???? What college did this outstanding example of journalistic talent attend? Using the rule I learned in perhaps the second or third grade, that could also be expressed as, "Him alone will own his defeat." Been taking grammar lessons from Caribou Barbie, have we?

    • Posted By: tudorgurl @ 10/26/2008 3:38:07 PM

That would be "he alone will own his defeat".

  • Posted By: beema @ 10/26/2008 3:33:32 PM

Why is there a McCain campaign and a Palin campaign. Are they on the same ticket but not on the same page?

  • Posted By: Da Mayor @ 10/25/2008 5:52:26 PM

There are two reasons why I am voting for McCain: Obama is an empty suit with a socialist background and Sarah. I can't wait for her to become President.

OBAMA lover why? because he smokes? Because he never has traveled south of our border and until recently never been to the war zones encluding one that you mention he is on a committe? Because he will say anything to get elected vice that is why he OBAMA ha stated many things and then has back tracked to get that vote! Because his 20 year relatioship with his pastor that until recently he has distance himself why the old might vote? Rev wright view is in Obama's blood? Because the association with a bomber a bomber! Obama has and adult not when he was 8 has done business with "Bill Airs" Because his wife is just now becoming proud of our country and being and american? SO you are smart, and he is too, and wears and empty suit!! Vote HELL NO To OBAMA and his taxes and friends that you and the media are afraid to cover in detail!!

Well, DA MAYOR, let me help you out. Obama has spent almost 4 years as a US Senator, 8 years as an Illinois Senator, with a prior career as a civil rights lawyer and Professor of US Constitution at the University of Illinois. A stellar education first at Columbia University, then law degree at Harvard University and voted President of the prestigious Harvard Law Review. The author of two best-selling books (vs McCain & Palin who required ghost writers).

In addition to serving on US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and the Environment and Public Works Committee and Veterans Affairs Committee, Senate Homeland Security Committee and the Government Affairs Committee, Obama has sponsored 570 bills in the US Senate, over 20 of which are now law, and he introduced 50 amendments to bills, 16 of which were adopted by the Senate. Most of his legislative effort has been in the area of Energy Efficiency and Climate Change (25 bills), health care (21 bills) and public health (20 bills), consumer protection/labor (14 bills), the needs of Veterans and the Armed Forces (13 bills), Congressional Ethics and Accountability (12 bills), Foreign Policy (10 bills) Voting and Elections (9 bills), Education (7 bills), Hurricane Katrina Relief (6), the Environment (5 bills), Homeland Security (4 bills), and discrimination (4 bills) - - including Federal Funding & Accountability Act,
Transparency & Integrity in Earmarks Act, Google for Government Act, Honest Leadership & Open Government Act, American Fuels Act, Biofuels Security Act.
      www.obama.senate.gov
      http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/2/21/164117/783?new=true

Obama has a reputation in the US Senate for "working across the aisle to make change happen". Some examples of his bi-partisan legislative successes include:
Lugar-Obama Bill with Sen Richard Lugar (R-IN) - to keep nuclear weapons out of terrorists' hands
Darfur Peace and Accountability Act with Sen Sam Brownback (R-KS)
Global Poverty Act with Sen. Chuck Hagel (R
Climate Stewardship & Innovation Act with Sen John McCain (R-AZ)
Americans with Disabilities Restoration Act with Senator O Hatch (R.UT)
Levin-Coleman-Obama Stop Tax Haven Abuse Act with Sen Coleman (R-MN)
Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Federal Spending Act of 2008 with Sen Coburn (R-OK)
Enhancing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Education Act of 2008 /Rep Ehlers (R-MI)
Harkin-Hagel-Obama Armed Forces Suicide Prevention Act, with Sen Hagel (R-NE)
Veterans??? Mental Health Outreach and Access Act, with Sen Domenici (R-NM)
the Climate Change Education Act, with Sen Snowe (R-ME)
Military and Veterans Traumatic Brain Injury Treatment Act with Sen Warner (R-VA), SenGraham (R-SC),
Fuel Economy Reform Act with a Bi-partisan group of senators

YOU WISH he was an empty suit. I doubt Sarah Palin has ever read the US Constitution and knows very little about the national and global issues which Senator Obama's legislation addresses.

I agree the republican will win this election. There are so many reasons. Why do you think obama and his crew are trying to get people to vote early. They know that a fair amount of their supoorters will not show up on nov. 4. The exact opposite is true of the republicans. They will be coming out from everywhere to make sure that Obama does not get elected. That portion never gets talked about. This is not my view or opinion but I did hear recently someone say "it isnt over until the redneck votes" or you can look at it like a previous post being the silent majority... take it for what you will but i tend to agree. Please dont call it racism either. These people just have opposite views than democrats.

Enter Your CommentYou are so right. I voted last week so I won't be showing up on the 4th. It feel sooo.. good.

In Alaska she is famous for biting the hands who helped her to get into politics as mayor of Wasilla. So, I am not surprised at all she is doing it again to McCain. His white hair did not teach him we must vet a VP, so these are the consequences of GUT, IRRATIONAL decisions. He brought someone he did not know, no vetting process, can t be surprised now. At 72 his judgment is terrible and does not qualify to be president with a loose canon as VP.
With a 10 years survival rate at 36% it is just IRRESPONSIBLE to select PALIN.

  • Posted By: cm4297 @ 10/26/2008 3:20:38 PM

Palin could have won me over, but like McCain she used hate as a means for her campaign.

  • Posted By: elonyolanda @ 10/26/2008 3:17:58 PM

Has anyone ever read Thomas More's Utopia...it failed! If the GOP and Sarah Palin believe that to make the "everyone look like 'us' !" a campaign issue in 2012 they will be making a fundamentally sound mistake. First of all this group of as you described, 'low-educated' poor and lower middle-class whites don't spend enough money or have enough to sustain a society of 'just us'. America would come to a screeching halt if African-Americans and HIspanics (the group they would be railing against ) stopped spending in the majority white economic community, and spent money only in their own communities. With leaders like Obama a rallying cry to do this would shut down white America. And if you have not seen the US Census report by 2010 Hispanics and African-Americans will become the majority populous. I would hope the GOP wouldn't do anything so stupid. Then again Sarah Palin is the most narcissistic person I have seen come along in American politics in a long time. She might think this dumb idea might work. Most narcissist defeat themselves!

Pail may be cute, but she lack the finesse to be in the big ring...maybe someday with a bit more experience....

  • Posted By: hmoo11 @ 10/26/2008 3:15:49 PM

So much for Sarah's supposed pipeline. I read months ago this project may go the way of the bridge to nowhere. Where is the next false claim going to come from. She comes to the lower 48 and decides she will help divide us. Please put her on a plane to Alaska ASAP.

She is not like most women I know and most women I know don't think she is smart enough to handle the job of VP or President of the United States.

Apparently, the author of this heinously written article, SHOULD start immediately to look for a REAL paying job. He is either a school (elementary) mate of $150k palin or a complete MORON. He appears to espouse virtue over integrity and honor over "COUNTRY FIRST". What an IDIOT" Whatever games and nonsense shirley palin (laverne & shirley) commited while in Alaska should and could not apply to the REAL USA. She needs to take her sorry butt and her brother darman back to her wolf and moose country and spend her days and life PEERING OUT HER KITCHEN WINDOW VIEWING RUSSIA. Hey hockey, wal mart phoneu "mom" (and I use the MOM loosely, this is the United States where I've served honorably in the military, pay state & federal taxes for over 58 years and obeyed and respected the laws of this MY COUNTRY. Take a hike, YOU BETCHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"But what the intellectuals have not always acknowledged is that there is an easier, if less utopian, way to speak to the anxieties of working America: full-fledged culture war."

Make no mistake - the intellectuals, and everyone else who believes in bipartisanship and a sense of fair play, clearly acknowledge that full-fledged culture war is alive and well.

We just refuse to contribute to it.

Make no mistake - there are just as many liberal hate-mongers as there are conservative ones, and for every Palin there is a Howard Dean, or Keith Olberman. None of them do us any favors.

We can only hope that Palin goes back to Alaska from whence she came, and takes the other mudslingers with her.

The rest of us prefer to work together to solve our problems and fix what's broken.

Americans are confused, not stupid! Sarah Palins soccer mom persona is quickly disinigrating! Her self-serving deception, manipulation, and conniving has become crystal clear to the real Middle Class including her supporters in her home state. The Mayor of Ketchican called her a liar, why....because she is a liar. Without McCains ingnorance she would have remained on her bridge to nowhere forever. Now, she will go down in United States History as the pathetic joke that she is, and unfortunately she will take John McCain with her. I believe that McCains logic in choosing her was that she would take all those disgrunteled Hillary voters. Sen. Clinton has at the very least, class, which Sarah Palin lacks. I must admit that I would love to watch her and Hillary Clinton run against each other in 2012. That would be a real riot! When all this is over, she will be back in Caribou country teaching her teenage daughter how to breast feed.

    • Posted By: jasonmartin @ 10/26/2008 3:03:08 PM

Sarah Palin could not carry Hillary Clinton's jockstrap so any contest between them would be a bloodbath.

  • Posted By: davew05 @ 10/26/2008 3:01:11 PM

Give Obama credit, he has tapped into what the conservative intellectuals dreamed of: adapting its economic message to address the insecurities of the working class. As far as the conservative working class- that is a moving target, and is slowly passing the conservative intellectuals by. He is the one democrat, who in my lifetime, has argued that we must help the middle class with tax cuts and has stressed that. Very good move. AND he has charisma which doesn't hurt. Much more charisma than Sarah Palin.

I have become so engross with this election that I have been flipping back and forth between CNN and MSNBC so that I don'tmiss anything. I don't know exactly who said what but the main topic was about the Sarah Palin "Troopergate" incident. She said the Legislature's Report vindicates her, it may legally but not morally in my opinion..(tells you something about her character.) If you check MSNBC under Top Video's "Todd Palin A.K.A. the first Dude" you will find that it has been reported that he spends 50-70% of his time in her office, sitting in on all of her official meetings, interjecting his opinion, and acting as though he is the Govenor. We Obama supporters raise the question "What if ( God forbid) John McCain could not serve...is Sarah Palin qualified to serve"? Maybe we should be asking this about Todd Palin. If all of the above is true ,he would be acting as the President. Think about it...Todd Palin President of the United States....TODD PALIN PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES...scarey!!!!

This woman has shown herself to be so SELF CENTERED.

Palin is the only one important to Palin.

Hopefully she disappears to Alaska and reaps he just reward. (Now that the Alaskans know her)
