Palin is a fraud. She is a politician without even a basic knowledge of Civics, a Christian without compassion, and a leader without ethics. And the very people who buy into her simple little miss rural American act are the very same people who bought into the story of the poor little white girl who was attacked (and, gasp, sexually assaulted) by the black Obama supporter. For the sake of you who restrict your contact with the outside world to Rush and Fox news, I must inform you that it was all a terrible hoax. But the rush to judgement was quick and relentless by the hate-mongers whose whole political platform is centered on an irrational fear and hatred of Senator Obama. Gullible and willfully obtuse, they drag the political discourse into the mud. It is encouraging to see that the great majority of decent Americans, Republican, Democratic, and Independent alike are rejecting this assault on America.

Ya gotta love it "SCARRY SARRY" has already stuck it to McCain just like everyone else she doesnt agree with.

  • Posted By: alisonak @ 10/26/2008 2:42:30 PM

And we, the thoughtful and intelligent voters who love our country too much to condone a shotgun wedding to the evangelical (or any) church, will fight her every step of the way.

Shouldn't Sarah Palin be GRATEFUL to the McCain campiaign in the first place? If it wasn't for them, she'd still be unknown. Sarah who...?

    • Posted By: WisconsinJohnson @ 10/26/2008 2:40:31 PM

Her history is one of stabbing in the back those who help her.

If the scenario presented takes shape in the GOP, the party will split with moderates and business joining and the far right left to themselves.

I think Palin is the real deal. Unfortunately, the MSM made sure all her flaws were front page news. Very little was said about how she fought her own party in Alaska, cut expenses, her experience as a Governor.
It blows my mind Obama has no executive experience yet the MSM feels he is ready to be president just because he can give a great speech and has thousands of advisors in foreign and domestic affairs.
With him in office and a democratic congress, I can see the "Carter Years" all over again.
Tax and spend.....you will see. Hillary and Sarah will be waiting in the wings.

Voter8: Apparently ethics and values other than noterity have no meaning for you. You would prefer this "shiny object circus perfromer" vs one with depth, life experience, intelligence, concern for others, etc.
Palin has an ego the size of Alaska, willing to lie and incite, to futher her position, spend your donations to look pretty along with her dipstick husband. It has NEVER been Country First for her is always been Pagen oops Palin first. Please pull your head out and start seeing things as they trully are!!! O8/12

Your ignorance stuns me, my friend. If you remember, Palin hit the national scene with a flourish; her convention speech at once a raucous condemnation of all things liberal, and a showcase of her "reformism".

Slowly but surely, the facade was peeled away. Layer by layer, like a proverbial onion, the shine fell away, with her truth showing like so much dirty laundry.

Bridge to Nowhere malarkey, ebay jet, bogus pipeline deal, Troopergate, Co-governor Todd, $150,000 shopping spree, per-diem for staying home, global warming denial, AIP, the list is endless.

Add to this her total befuddlement at standard political questions, and you have a woman with absolutely no business in a national presidential election.

Shouldn't Sarah Palin be GRATEFUL to the McCain campaign i the first place for even bringing her on board? If not for them, she'd still be unheard of. Sarah who...?

If she's not graeful now, she will be when she recieves her take from the Book sales "SARAH the MOOSESLAYER" . We're talking about 2 million copies, all purchased by Hannity's audience.

Will potty mouthed Sarah Palin go the way of Michelle Bachmann?

Michelle was the one who declared that Senator Obama and the House & Senate Democrats should be investigated because they were unamerican.

So how is Michelle doing these days? The other day at a Minnesota McCain rally, John McCain refused to shake hands with her and the rest of the McCain Posse avoided her like she was a piece of rotting fish.

Will Palin suffer the same disgrace? Yep!

The idea that Palin could be the next savior of the Republican Party is just plain silly. She is the Gilligan of ???Gilligan's Island??? and only the very dumb will continue to show any interest in her. Fortunately, the Democratic Party will continue to grow in strength as the population continues to become more diverse. Twenty years ago I was a Republican, but switched parties when I realized the Republican Party was a hateful self centered party that did not reflect the middle class. The Republican Party will go the way of the Wig Party into oblivion.

Was the Governor of Alaska "clothesless" in her duties as the highest ranking official in that State? I was stunned to hear Mr. McCain say that she needed clothes as justification for spending $150,000 for her wardrobe.

  • Posted By: jklipuma @ 10/26/2008 2:26:35 PM

Why not Palin ? You ask..well first she is a dim wit, second she is a near crook even by Republican standards, third she is only for Palin and willing to lie her way to her 15 minutes of fame. I have restored some faith in the American voter for seeing Palin for what she is. I will strengthen that faith on Nov 5th. Palin is a circus act that only the simple will follow. I hope is is back in moose country by Nov 6th, never to be seen again. McCain was a bigger fool then even I imagined for selecting this bimbo, O8/12

Palin will not fund 'fruit-fly research' for sure.

Jonathan Darman's piece on Gov. Sarah Palin is the BEST "inside baseball" commentary I've read this political season. Period!

Palin just quoted Joe the Plumber in her speech. Now that's desperate.

NO ONE BUT HIM??? You are kidding, right. John never, at any time in his campaign, ran John McCain's campaign. He ran Shawn Hannity's campaign. Shawn set every topic, from the not so subtle racisim to the nonesense about Ayers, Wright, and Acorn. It seemed like all John did was listen to the Shawn Hannity show and then go out and stump based on Shawn's show of the day. Hopefully, when this "politics of hatred" is reputiated in the election, Shawn will be reputiated as well. The demise in political cloud of Hannity and his ilk may even bring civility, which is so lacking, back into politics and into how Americans relate to each other.

Jonathan Darman logic escapes me. If the Republicans have ceded the African American vote and continue to alienate the Hispanic population (largest growing demographic in the country), how in the world will they ever be able to come up with a majority? By 2023, 52% of children will be minorities. The Rove/Limbauagh/Hannity/Dobson wing of the party is dead...they just don't realize it yet. Perhaps after next Tuesday they will, If not, the Republican party could be in the wilderness for the next 20 years. All the democrats can hope for is that the republicans take Mr.Darman advice!

Absolutely! And go go Palin on being yourself- get those KKK voters welded to the base, and those end of world folks who will step into a war with anyone with great zeal to bring about the apocalypse. Everyone else, the constitution, the preamble, and democracy can go to heck because you and your followers will be so safe in knowing that you are doing "gods" work. Right on, she will create a whole new GOP, and because she does not like to read (but forbids people who can from selecting their own books), any lessons from 20th century history will be lost. Pass the soma folks, and turn up your TVs.

Does Palin edit this stuff!? Consider this sentence: "So if the polls prove right, and McCain loses to Barack Obama next Tuesday, no one but him will own his defeat." Aside from the inapt first comma, the use of the object "him" instead of "he" is ugly. It's hard to take seriously commentary which isn't written in literate English. Hey, isn't that Palin's problem?
