The Palin Problem

Yet another controversy about the the Maverick's main sidekick:

A new ethics complaint has been filed against Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, accusing the Alaska governor of abusing her power by charging the state when her children traveled with her.

The complaint alleges that the Republican vice presidential nominee used her official position as governor for personal gain. It follows a report by The Associated Press last week that Palin charged the state more than $21,000 for her three daughters' commercial flights, including events where they weren't invited, and later ordered their expense forms amended to specify official state business.

To me the best way to judge how a candidate will run his presidency is to look how he/she ran their campaign. I think it is pretty clear that McCain did a poor job of running his campaign and it all is in his lap. Palin has had negatives for the campaign, but she also was a shot in the arm for getting the conservatives to wake up and start helping despite not really buying into McCain's program. I don't think he could have chosen a better running mate to try and get elected. I think he just keeps choosing the wrong focus points and does not communicate his ideas very well. He has even lost control and respect of his own campaign committee who seem to be questioning every move he makes lately. Can you imagine this group in control of the White House???? It takes a lot more than just military knowledge to control the direction of this country as McCain is finding out the last few months. He just doesn't have what is needed and he cannot blame anyone around him for that especially since he hand picked the people supporting him.

If Palin is the GOP's "future", the democrats (& all Americans) have nothing to worry about. The bimbo will be fortuitous to get herself reelected within Alaska.

Newsweek... why no investigation of Palins' 2.1 million dollar home? Did she make that much as Mayor of Wasilla? She already stated Todd makes $50,000 a year ... so what gives? Why are her children not in school? Is Trig really her son or is Trig Bristol's son?
I feel really sorry for John McCain win or lose.... Sarah Palin will bury him just on what she has learned about him, the RNC and any other (what she will call) incriminating evidence. Sarah is the type who does not take loss well and if elected, John better saty his distance because she is into witchcraft (seriously) and she will put an illness on him and take over as President. Sarah is power hungry and I'm sure does not want to go back to being just a "govenor", she will find that to be an insult!

Sarah is the type of person wo refuses to lose! She will bury John McCain I'll tell ya! Sarah Palin is into witchcraft and should they win, McCain should keep his distance, she will curse him with some illness to take over the Presidency! The Aklasans should not re-elct her if McCain lose this election, she is one power hungry witch!

The Alaska Independence Party is a radical group registered as a political party in Alaska. It calls for Alaska to leave the United States (to enjoy its oil wealth, no doubt) and claims that the Alaskan statehood vote was illegal. But that doesn't begin to describe the AIP's extremism. Its founder Joe Volger said "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. And I won't be buried under their damn flag." Volger is dead but still celebrated on the AIP website. He died in 1994 when a blackmarket deal to buy plastic explosives went bad. His body was found in a gravel pit east of Fairbanks, wrapped with a blue tarp and duct tape.
Why the Obama campign is not hitting her with this I do not know. AS for involvement with terrorist her and her husbands association are far lcoser than obamas to Bill Ayers.

I am sick and tired of this old boy 72 going on 73 and this brain dead Sarah Palin. Get them of my Television. They have nothing to say I am interested in. The two of them are two creeps. One is too old and the other one has no sense.

The only problem with the "hard right" strategy is the majority demogaphics of America will reject it. It may sell to the rural, the extreme, the undereducated; but urban American, enlightened America, and immigrant-infused America will laugh Sarah off the public stage. Her worldview is quaint and obsolete. It energizes a shrinking ignorant-extremist element in US culture - & that element is doomed to lose any future culture war.

I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying.He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy.He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He was the last to know somthing was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
