His Top Financial Adv. Says [He Will Raise Your Taxes]

    http://www.time-blog.com/swampland/2008/09/the_mccain_tax_increasescontin.html

McCain Top Economic Adviser: [McCain Will Raise Taxes] ...Fact !!!

"Whether you're a Republican, Democrat President or a Martian, Taxes will be Raised"

Though Mccain has said Throughout his campaign

"I will Not, Raise Your Taxes"

His Top Economic Adviser says that a LIE....

Obama will Raise Taxes on those that make More than 250,000...

The 250,000 per year and Under, will have a Tax Break and Tax Cut.

    ------------------------------------------

Douglas Holtz-Eakin, a former Director of the Congressional Budget Office and current chief McCain economic advisor, is an honest man--which means he's something of a liability on the Straight Talk Express. A few months ago, he admitted to my colleague, Michael Scherer, that Barack Obama's economic plan would reduce taxes for most people.

And now, in a forthcoming book by Fortune columnist Matt Miller, he makes it clear that the next President is going to have to raise taxes.

"If you do nothing on the spending side, you're going to have to RAISE TAXES whether you're a Republican, a Democrat or a Martian," he tells Miller...and then he immediately makes it clear that the "spending side" part of the argument is nothing more than a ...............

    "POLITICAL FIG LEAF".

    --------------------------------------------------------

YOU REPUBLICANS ARE SUCH GULLIBLE FOOLS...MCCAIN WILL RAISE YOUR TAXES...PERIOD

    TAXES WILL BE RAISED...PERIOD...

2 WARS AT THE COST OF BILLIONS, HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT, RECORD HIGH FORECLOSURE RATES, THE BIGGEST WALLSTREET BAILOUT EVER, INFLATION, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, OVER POPULATION, ALL LEAD TO MORE [TAXATION] !!!

THE SPENDING END IS A ..BIG JOKE !!

In case you missed this below...Here's my response to a Palin r...Dear ignorant....Palin has stated that the clothes do not belong to her and that she will either give them to charity or auction them off maybe bring a profit the the Republican party or help a good cause. What's so bad about that?...if she wasn't dressed nice you'd be all over her for that. Obama's spend hundreds of millions of non reusable dollars on things like nice clothes Michelle is keeping, on Iranian caviar (while Palin often times buys Protein bars...which might explain Michelle's growing caboose) and especially for advertisements made up often of lies (see Charles Krauthammer's column today showing some of the lies) half-truths, stultifications, and deceptions. Obummer is spending a few million already on a victory bash and he hasn't even won yet. Let's see $2,000,000 you can't get back to get liberals drunk versus $150,000 on clothes you can make a profit off of or give to charity.....What's better? How can you be so stupid?

Omaar is typically Muslim name? I know a non-Muslim Omaar who traveled to India and Kashmir with a German friend. Upon arriving to a town in Kashmir, while leaving the bus, a group of Muslims all looking like Osama jumped out of a vehicle and tood the German 'white' fem@le away never to be found. This happens all the time I hear in Kashmir...traveling females being abducted by Muslims never to be found again. Omaar, the guy I know, traveled high and low to find her to no avail. He did see a Canadian running for her life in one town. They let him leave with no problems because his name sounded Muslim. Related: did you hear about Obama's support for Prime minister Odinga in Kenya? Odinga ran for President but lost. They cried foul. Odinga is Pro-Islamic and a buddy of Obama. Riots ensued from radical Muslims making up only 15% of Kenyons. They burned down churches, and killed hundreds including 50 s in a church. Thank you Mr. Obama for your wonderful 'lighworker of the universe' influence.

        1. OMAAR IS ALSO A SPAINSH NAME, PORTUGUESE NAME, E. INDIAN NAME, INDONESIA NAME, AFRICAN NAME, AMERICAN NAME, ITALIAN NAME, GREEK NAME, BRAZILIAN AND SOUT AMERICAN NAME ...

AN SO ON AN SO ON.

        2. I'M NOT A MUSLIM, SURE AS HELL NOT A CHRISTIAN, NOR A FOLLOWER OF JUDAISM.

        3. CHRISTIANITY, ISLAM AND JUDAISM ARE THE BANE OF HUMAN EXISTENCE...PERIOD...END QUOTE.

        4. I BELIEVE IN A SPIRITUAL WORLD, BUT NONE OF THE 3 MAJOR RELIGIONS ARE SPIRITUAL, THEY ARE RELIGIONS THAT ARE MORE [RITUALISTIC, PAGAN AND SECULAR] THEY ARE THE REASONS GIVEN TO CAUSE WAR AND CARNAGE....

YOU CAN CLAIM THEM AND YOU CAN HAVE ANYONE OF THEM, YOU CHOOSE.

I BET YOUR LAME ASS WON'T VOLUNTEER TO FIGHT A WAR IN AFGHANISTAN OR IRAQ....YOU ARE A SIDELINE PATRIOT AND DO WHAT CHEERLEADERS DO, CHEER LEAD....

BUT NO SWEAT, BLOOD, BONE AND SPIRIT ON YOUR PART...

Ms Palin may have a number of attributes for a 2012 bid. She has one glaring deficit, intellectual capacity. 8 years of dumbing down the White House has left a great deal of Americans yearning for articulate, learned discourse. "You betcha" doesn't cut it, even when wrapped in a $150,000.00 wardrobe.

    Dear Leperkins09
So you mean we have to become members of black liberation theology churches that teach blackz are the true Jews while whites, including those in Israel, are really curse-d Edomites and that Jesus is really a dark-skinned political revolutionary guy? Geee ...I can't wait....sounds so fun and loving

What do Greta Van Susteren, Dennis Miller, Dick Cheney and Dick Morris have in common.

Alright, Alright, I know they're that and more but i can't say that.

They all speak out of the sides of there mouths. Some are worse than others. what's with that. Greata and Cheney worked on it for awhile but now that Greata has a contract and Cheney's about to croak, they seemingly don't care anymore. As for Miller, he's just emulating Morris. Ouch! Morris doesn't try to conceal it but he does use a diversionary tactic. He has swelled up to the size of SNOOPY TWO to get our minds off of his contorted yap.

Sarah Palin= isolationist? Madison tried this two hundred years ago. Nobody bought the argument and that was a very long time ago. We live in a totally different world or hasn't anyone noticed? Tell me how our economy works if we are an isolationist country.

  • Posted By: jeperkins09 @ 10/25/2008 7:57:37 PM

Sarah Palin is a devisive force in a divided and diverse nation. Our nation will become more diverse and our young people more tolerant of people who do not look like them or practice the same religion as they do. The Republican Party will have to change and reflect the real world or become extinct. You must remember that she burst on the scene delivering a negative speech designed to entertain her party. There was nothing in it about moving the country forward. In most of her interviews she appears to be an "empty wagon" on the road to the past.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/13/acorn-mccain-and-gop-used_n_134284.html

John McCain is a Acorn Man, He Attended a 2006 Rally in Support of Acorn as well as John McCain's Surrogates and GOP

Some you Low Lifes, would'nt know your Ear Hole from your A!! Hole, just like the Semi-Senile John McCain, to whom you Blindly Support.

On Monday, the Democratic-leaning group ACORN, which has been painted as a criminal enterprise by the GOP for its voter registration and housing policy efforts, pushed back against its critics by producing a photo of John McCain attending its March 2006 rally.

It was a reminder that, for all their electoral histrionics, Republicans have aligned themselves with ACORN in the past.

Indeed, in addition to the McCain photo, there is a host of examples of prominent McCain surrogates attending ACORN events, signing ACORN legislation, or complimenting the group's efforts.

Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, for example, partnered with ACORN in March 2008 for a "Homeownership Promotes The Economy" taskforce. More recently, Crist declared that -- contrary to GOP outrage -- he was not upset with the group's voter registration efforts in his state. The New York Times reported that ACORN supported a law signed by Governor Crist, which "changed the rules last year to restore the voting rights of about 112,000 former convicts."

In July 2005, meanwhile, another Republican governor, Rick Perry of Texas, signed ACORN's Lending Law Reform Bill that changed the state's homelending practices.

In July 2008, California Governor and McCain supporter Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill that ACORN helped draft aimed at California homeowners facing foreclosure.

    Story continues below

In June 2007, Minnesota Governor and McCain VP short-lister Tim Pawlenty signed a similar bill -- drafted by ACORN -- that helped homeowners get fairer deals on their mortgages.

"The legislation was drafted according to recommendations made by a predatory lending study group established by Swanson prior to the legislative session," wrote the Northwestern Financial Review. "The study group contained representatives from the banking industry and the mortgage brokers association, as well as consumer advocates from organizations such as Illegal Aid and ACORN."

As Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney signed an anti-predatory lending bill that ACORN supported. In February 2006, Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman met with the ACORN Katrina Survivors Association. And back in July 2005, New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg actually got a kiss from ACORN's state leader, according to the publication City Limits, during an announcement that the city would protect or create 65,000 affordable units in a new housing proposal. Bloomberg, it should be noted, has not endorsed a candidate.

Politically Sarah Palin does have the right stuff, save for intellectual acumen. That's why she had to be home schooled throughout the campaign. The Couric interview was a telling exposé into Sarah Palin's thought process, or lack there of. She might make a great talk show host, but not a leader of our nation.

There is on thing the good governor does not have to be a legitimate presidential candidate, the intellect. 8 years of dumbing down the White House has most Americans yearning for intelligent discourse from our leaders. "You Betcha" doesn't make the grade.

In keeping with the season, she could audition for a part in The WIZ. All she needs is a broom and hate. She's already possess the background for the wicked witch of the west.

I can't take credit for this, i heard it Thursday on a local right wing radio show. I think the guy's name was Todd Spitz, a wacko Republican in Tampa.

  • Posted By: PASC @ 10/25/2008 7:27:02 PM

By the way, the current so-called "conversative" nature of the country (which is challenged by many--most call it "moderate-right") ignores the NEW generation of voters entering the electorate. I have not yet seen anyone analyze the impact of post-baby boomers on the liberal-conservative continuum of the country's social pulse.

  • Posted By: PASC @ 10/25/2008 7:21:56 PM

<<That's why she had an 80% approval rating. She draws bigger crowds thatn the other 3, has more experience that them and she's going for Vice not Pres. >>

Nonsense. She had an 80% approval rating almost entirely because she paid every man, woman and child $1200 (up to $3600 per family) via her tax on Big Oil. In other words, her popularity was bought and paid for.

And she draws big crowds in the same way automobile accidents on the highway draw rubberneckers, for all we know. That's a pretty weak bit of reasoning--right up there with "she has more experience..." Than WHO? Your evaluation of her experience couches it in the current weird reality where governing one of the smallest (by population--the "land mass" comparison is stupid as can be since you don't govern LAND) states -- with a help of a RE-hired administrator -- is highly unlikely to stand up against OTHER "QUALIFIED" CANDIDATES for whatever role the GOP envisioned for its future leadership.

The experience argument bombs totally WITHIN the party. There are a ton more, equally charismatic -- although maybe not equally ambitious -- women in the party than Palin. How quickly we forget that Palin was chosen OVER some far more potent female contenders, in large part because of exactly the "too far to the right" problem that has divided the party (its base from the moderates) in this election.

      PASC,

Every man, woman, and child whol lived in Alaska for 1 year received $3,200 this year. The Palin's got over $19,000 (the new baby doesn't get money this year).

  • Posted By: Henry Frost @ 10/25/2008 7:26:52 PM

An insightful argument, which thinking citizens should keep in mind over the next four years of the first Obama administration; but I must admit that it gives me some concern to see such a cogent and applicable strategy offered here in print for all the mean old Republican / Karl Rove crowd to consider and perhaps implement. Sarah Palin certainly has never had an original idea nor a coherent philosophy of her own; but she could no doubt be guided down the path suggested by those who would exploit her charisma for their own evil ends (even after Cheney expires from that final, hopefully excruciatingly painful and protracted heart attack he so clearly deserves - if only it had happened in 2000 - there will no doubt be another arrogant, hate-filled plutocrat to take his place). I will say nothing about the post-Presidential G.W.B., who will no doubt slink down to his ranchette in Crawford to sulk over the perfidy of the American people. Henry Frost

Newsweek, please stop allowing this ridiculous rumor about Obama not being a U.S. citizen to circulate on the web site of a supposedly respectable news publication. Obama was born in Hawaii, which (perhaps to the shock of the ignorant idiots on here) IS a state. Enough already. Such slanderous untruths should not be allowed to circulate here.

I can't wait till Barack is in office. In the 1st 100 days we will all have jobs making $40.00 an hour, 2 new cars in our paid off house, gas will be 99 cents a gallon, everyone will have full health care for free and the kids will be in college at age 14 because life is so good. Oh, yeah. The world will love us and all the guns will be gone and no more war. Also, the Cubs will win the World Series.

LOL - terrific post. What is scary is that there are probably supporters of The Messiah that believe all of this.

No, that type of gullibility is a Right Wing domain. What we do know is that not much can come from Granpa Munster and Mooseolini, one doesn't know about economics and the other one, oh hell, who am I kidding.

        McCain/Palin is not a presidential ticket -- it's a sitcom!

  • Posted By: RM23 @ 10/25/2008 7:09:59 PM

Obama voters: please keep in mind that you are not REALLY voting for Obama. You are voting for a Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd administration. While Bush irks me for not ardently going after these fools before the Fanny and Freddie tipping point, what we have now is what we have now.

A Pelosi, Reid, Frank and Dodd running the country unchecked by a young, inexperienced far left President that they can manipulate? That is far more frightening than would be a Palin Presidency. SERIOUSLY.

Think back to Carter, and SQUARE IT.

It's understandable that McCain is tormented by the fact that his North Vietnamese interrogators/torturers broke him into signing a confession. But preening around like a big war hero is his way of compensating for what he must think is his failure. We don't begrudge him signing anything after being tortured. But that experience does not show or prove great character. It merely shows he's human. Well, we're all human.

So let's move onto the issues that will face our children. Who will lead us OUT of the mess the GOP RNC led us into once again, like it did under Reagan, our last Recession causing president? Will it be McBush? America doesn't think so, it will be Obama-Biden--- intellect, charisma, leadership. Not McBush running around like a crazy loose cannon spewing hate and nonsense like "My Friends, I know how to fix this economy..... I know how to win this war.... I know how to do everything.... Just make me president so I can do something!" I don't think so, John, your time has passed, and Palin's will never come if there is a shred of sense in the American public.
