"A former Newsweek reporter admitted in an article this week that he has no objectivity and imagined disabling Rudy Giuliani so he wouldn't run in the presidential primary race last year.
Michael Hastings wrote in GQ magazine that he had a "recurring fantasy" that he could somehow stop the former New York City mayor in his tracks.
"I quickly realized Rudy was a maniac. I had a recurring fantasy in which I took him out during a press conference (it was nonlethal, just something that put him out of commission for a year or so), saving America from the horror of a President Giuliani. If that sounds like I had some trouble being 'objective,' I did. Objectivity is a fallacy," he said."

its amazing how she still is on the front page of the liberal media bombardment but obama wont surrender proof that he is a US born citizen. And factcheck.org is not the same as complying with a federal court. Nope they just want to file motions to dismiss. This communist, anti-american, anti christian moron has only an angenda to sneak into office and overstep this constitution. Three things are trying to attack this nation. Radical anti christian liberalism, Radical islam, and these homosexual thugs. Shoulda just let the Democrat party be controlled by hillary, now you pissed her off. Good luck hiding all the crap the democrats and liberal media stirred up.

By all means, Republican Party, give us more of Sarah Palin.

She is "The Titanic" of American politics now and forever and we progressives can't believe that you guys might try to "float her" by America again.
You gave us Bush, who was and is clueless.
Go ahead and bring us Palin 2- she's a creepy and shallow opportunist.
I guess the Rep[ublican Party (not you folks who are actually fooled by their talk) figures with her they can steal the rest of our money.

To quote a famous (soon to be infamous) American: Bring it on!

Brackets mine..from the Good Book: "Woe to you, teachers of the [ACLU] law and [left-leaning press] Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are. Woe to you, blind guides!...Woe to you, teachers of the [ACLU ] law and [left leaning press] Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices???mint, dill and cummin [or money to Barack Obama]. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law???justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! YOU STRAIN OUT A GNAT BUT SWALLOW A CAMEL [LIKE FOCUSING IN ON SARAH PALIN'S SHOES WHEN OBAMAS SHADY FRIENDS, CONNECTIONS AND SUPPORTERS AND POLICIES--LIKE ABORTION-ARE A NIGHTMARE]! Woe to you, teachers of the [ACLU] law and [left leaning press] Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean. Woe to you, teachers of the [ACLU] law and [left leaning press] Pharisees, you hypocrites! ...on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness."

    THE GREAT BUSH DEPRESSION
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He was the last to know somthing was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. Check out this link to the truth http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideo
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
Let's teach him we are smarter than that
Stand up and hold them accountable

Sarah Palin's performance in the 2008 campaign has turned her into a laughing stock (don't believe me -- just watch SNL).. Despite being reined in initially by her handlers, it was reported today that she wants more freedom. My reaction: turn her loose! Every time she opens her mouth, what passes through her expensively glossed lips begins in mid-thought, changes course in mid-sentence, and ends in a sematically garbled sound bite to nowhere. Let her continue to self-destruct now once and for all so we don't have to go through this nonsense again in 2012. You can always apply more lipstick, but you can't make yourself smarter. She just doesn't have the intellectual depth or breadth to be president.

I can not understand why the media has the intention distroy someone, because of the having no or very little clothes for such an event, that is very trival in comparision to the association that osma hussian has had thru out his life, all of a sudden that is no issue why? why is it that from all corners of Barrak Osama's life there is nothing but bad people he has hung with, associated with, and that's no problem, now everyone has turned their heads.. Wait till Obama comes out with his with muslum clothes for his state of address, oh wait, that didn't cost too much, an that will be alright....Wait till the real Osama Bin Ladin comes out to greet the people from the White House, Our Whote House.. Than we will think of John Macain and Sarah Palin.

Yet 70% of Americans [PEW,Oct.22,2008], agree that the press is in the tank for Obama.

If the GOPs fortunes look low, those of the press look even worse. Americans are disgusted with the over-the-top performance displayed by the partisan press and in an odd paradox, will more likely turn to conservative sources of news in a coming Obama administration [the increasing NIELSEN ratings of FOX bear this out], as they will be the only ones that will catalogue any Obama failures, missteps on the domestic and foreign policy front, unkept campaign promises, scandals,or other that the MSM will attempt to shield him against, only leading to further mistrust of the MSM.[the core focus of Pelosi and Hoyers attempts to ressurect the ''Fairness Doctrine''is to ensure that the conservative media keeps their mouths shut on any such developments as they occur],although their attempts will run smack into the Ist Amendment, the GOP minority, and the moderate Democrats they will amass to block the leftwings [and the MSMs],machinations. All we have thus far seen is that Obama, like Clinton, will be forced to the center,as far too many of the congressional leftwings proposals are too odious for the American people [and the economy] to stomach. Should Obama jump on board the Reid-Pelosi bandwagon, this alone will augur well for a GOP retaking of at least one house in 2010. Obviously, this scenario is no less likely than what Darman has scribbled regarding Palin.

I agree with much of what you say, but I don't understand how you fail to make the connection between what you say and the fact that Obama will lose.

If what you say is true (and I believe it is true), then Obama is NOT going to win.

note to breal7- re: "The photo of Sarah Palin's legs in this article is another sexist attempt by the liberal media..." Liberal Media? ???Years ago, Republican party chair Rich Bond explained that conservatives' frequent denunciations of ???liberal bias??? in the media were part of ???a strategy??? (Washington Post, 8/20/92). Comparing journalists to referees in a sports match, Bond explained: ???If you watch any great coach, what they try to do is ???work the refs.??? Maybe the ref will cut you a little slack next time.??????

I agree 100%. The Palins both openly supported the Alaska Independence Party, but now Sarah Palin has the gall to question Barack Obama's loyalty?! Isn't the AIP's drive to secede from the Union the very definition of anti-Americanism?

A right-wing party playing the "culture" card, and winning by exploiting lower-middle class resentments and ethnic/racial tensions.

Sarah Palin is a right wing nut job. When McCain loses, and he will lose, it will be largely due to voters who abandoned him upon his choosing her for his running mate.
