The Progressives are flooding the newspapers, TV and radio airwaves with dangerous, yet very effective propaganda. They mix truths with lies, good with bad, take advantage of the poor, weak and/or ignorant. Their main goal or objective is to throw enough WEDGE ISSUES at us so as to divide this great nation. It's the ol' 'Divide and Conquer' (D & C) game. Now that OB has secured the Democratic Nomination, trust me, the ol' D & C game will begin:

Pro Life vs. Pro Choice
Pro Immigration vs. Anti-Immigration
Gay/Lesbian Rights vs. Religious Zealots
Rich against the Poor & Middleclass
Socialism vs. Capitalism
Universal Healthcare vs. I Don't Know Status Quo
Higher taxes vs. lower taxes, etc ...

I resent the right wing thinking that homosexuality is a sin, that gay marriage will undermine traditional marriage, that their way is the only way, that being pro-choice is being pro-abortion, etc. I am a middle class, retirement-aged, white, Christian woman. I believe that homosexuality is inborn, not "caught" or "taught." I believe that two peope should be able to join in at least a civil marriage no matter if they are male/female, male/male, or female/female. I believe in tolerance toward others no matter their race, religion, political views, etc.. I believe that a woman should have a choice when becoming pregnant. I do not think that "traditional marriage" is all that traditional any more with divorce being epidemic in this country and many people living together without benefit of marriage. I would really like all of us to move a little more to the middle and not to the far right or far left. I realize these are all pipe dreams, but in a perfect world...... Maybe I think this way because of my age, but I was raised to think this way by a father who was a military man, a very patriotic man, who truly believed in and fought for these values.

rigorous honesty, get your facts straight. Blacks are the ones who have to jump higher just to have equal pay with their white counterparts. If you think life if fair trying having two master's degrees to do the same job that your white counterparts has who by the way only have a B.S. degree, and in some cases a high school diploma. Lets talk about fair. Is it fair that the integrity of the black candidate who graduated Harvard is being questioned as opposed to the five in six years worth of school proudly touted by Palin, and lets not even get on McCain who graduated at the bottom of his class.

If Obama wins it will in part be due to temporarily impressing some swing voters with his integrity. But once he's in power, he needs to take a lesson from Jimmy Carter, who attempted to never lie to the America people and to assume we have an integrity that matches his. He attempted to appeal to what he thought was our innate sense of morality and ethics. At the height of one of the many crises that were dealt him, he withdrew to Camp David and spent 10 days picking the brains of the best and brightest, examining his own conscience and searching his soul. He then went on TV and appealed to what he thought was a nation of warm hearted, level headed people. What a mistake that was. Like Alan Greenspan, he thought we Americans could be trusted to do the right thing and take the fate of others into consideration. Both Carter and Greenspan gave us much more credit than we deserve. Deep down we care only for No. 1 (us). We are the chosen people and we want it all, and we want it now. Heaven help a President that dares ask us to conserve, save, be patient, and pay for what we want with cash. And how dare a President remind us that we are mistaken to measure ourselves by what we consume, as if there is another more sustainable standard to aspire to. That might be fine for the son of Joe the Carpenter, born 2000 years ago, but that's not what America's God wants for us. No way. His son died for our sins so we can be free to rule the world, consume all its' resources for ourselves, and await the Rapture. If Obama isn't willing to get with the program and drill baby drill, bomb baby bomb, buy baby buy, lie baby lie, he's doomed to a one-term Presidency. Assuming he puts one over on the righteous inhabitants of America's Heartland, the Bible/Crystal Meth belt.

Juliedsc you are extremely ignorant, and people like you who keep playing the race card in the election are on "THE BRIDGE TO NOWHERE"..... There was no "Bradley Effect". The Field poll was wrong -- other polls showed a tight race. A gun initiative brought out conservative voters. I don't believe there are 75million "low information" voters. Should it appear that Obama loses, it will be because of voting machines that have software manipulated to change the vote and the voter suppression of various Republican Secretaries of State.

I already voted for McCain! Stealing? Wow! I think that's what's going on with the Democrats and their voter registration for the Dallas Cowboys, a dead goldfish, and Micky Mouse. What's really stealing is feeding African Americans with a load of crap for years to keep them needy on government!

What economic experience does Obama have? In the White House there will be no 300 advisors just Biden running off at the mouth and Obama writing a speech. I hope any mission critical decisions are not put in front of Obama if he becomes president. It will take 2 weeks to work in the photo ops and write the speeches. Oh and ACT not just TALK about it. That's the nightmare you should be concerned about. Oh wait you are voting for Biden for the experience issues.

Not a single one of you Obama supporters answered my question about why Democrats have African Americans needy on the government? And how about why the success of African Americans and any other race is in jeopardy with his "spread the wealth" mentality? Watch out Oprah! Watch out Diddy! Don't you have millions -- or is it billions for Oprah? I don't know. So is she going to write a big fat check to the IRS? Oh no, she has all those charities she can write off, right? Just like the big white corporations that we just hate so much.

The I-4 corridor in Central Florida is indeed a hopeless cause for Democrats. I am one of the 3 Obama supporters where I work, out of approximately 50 in my immediate area and on my shift. We Democrats stand in the hall and whisper to each other because of the hostility and derision we are subjected to. The anti-Obama propaganda is all over the common areas. I can tell you that the basis for the pro-Republican attitude is probably close to 75% due to racism. These are pro-gun, pro-white, anti-abortion men who believe ALL the rhetoric put out by Sarah Palin at her worst. I can't wait for Obama to win.
