I sure hope that Americans use their common sense and research both candidates. If that were to happen, then McCain WILL win!!!!!!!!! I was once a liberal democrat, but decided to change my registration because Obama has no idea what he's doing, and Biden is even worse. NObama...you can keep your change I'll keep MY money!

Although many Republicans may or may not admit but Palin is the attraction , not McCain. However, she is the female equivalent of Bush when it comes to answering questions.

Fair enough this is a democracy and a McCain or Nader or Obama supporter has the right to vote for his/her candidate. But i hope people can atleast acknowledge that in times like these, whether is the housing or Iraq war or financial crises, McCain is playing pure divisive politics and tactics that smeared him in 2000.

He isnt helping the country but creating an atmosphere that sows doubt and anxiety. It's truly sad to watch him. The 'say anything' attitude that will make voters 'know the real Obama' as he said is truly disgusting for someone who says 'Country First'.

And in case you didn't notice: Civilian Polls have consistantly demonstrated that whites are roughly evenly divided between Mr McCain and Mr Obama

Polls have consistantly demonstrated that roughly 90% of blacks support Mr Obama

NOW TELL ME WHO THE RACISTS ARE!!!

And before one of the paid democratic "spin" artist attempts to mislead you by claiming this is just because blacks are always liberal, (or poor, or some other excuse),

      Consider carefuly the following

      LET US NEVER FORGET
DESPITE A LIFETIME OF LIBERAL SERVICE
A NEW FACE APPEARED ON THE SCENE
AND THE BLACKS TOOK THE CROWN FROM THE CLINTONS
      AND MADE OBAMA THE KING!!!!!

That's right, does anyone believe that anything other than race resulted in the black voters making a senator wth 22 months experience the Democratic candidate over Ms Clinton, who is perhaps one of the most prepared liberal candidates to ever seek the presidency?? If you have any doubts, just listen to Howard Stern's broadcast--- http://www.bpmdeejays.com/upload/hs_sal_in_Harlem_100108.mp3

It amazes me that the same people who have no problem bashing McCain supporters for all being racist have no problem dumpiing on Palin. Maybe those of you with "Palin derangement syndrome" are sexist?

This article sickens me. We as Americans have the right to vote for who we feel is the best candidate to lead our country. I sit over here in the Middle East serving the country that means everything to me. When I'm basically told to vote for Mr Obama or I'm a racist is thoroughly disgusting. In this Army, we're ALL green. The 'common sense and dignity of the American people' should find this article ridiculous.

First, thank you for your service; it isn't said often enough. Second, I completely agree with you. I have always thought that the point of equality was that race/color shouldn't matter. I have made my decision based on records and character, and would feel exactly the same way about each of the candidates were they of the opposite race.

According to vice presidential nominee Sarah Pallin, Obama is acting as if he's already won the election and had already written his inaugural address.

According to Pallin," Barack Obama and I both have spent quite some time on the basketball court, but where I come from; you have to win the game before you start cutting down the net."

    YOU GO GIRL!

IT WON'T BE ABOUT RACE , IT WILL BE ABOUT THE FACT THAT PEOPLE STILL WANT THE RIGHT TO BE CAPITALISTS NOT SOCIALISTS , FREE TO PROSPER , FREE TO INNOVATE AND BENEFIT FROM THE DREAM OF PROSPERITY FROM OUR EFFORTS, NOT CAPPED OFF AT 200K !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Posted By: Chuck Goodman @ 10/26/2008 2:47:50 PM

What you are really missing is I will never vote for Obama as long as buffoon Joe Biden is on the ticket. The Vice President all too often has to stand in for the President when the President is otherwise occupied. Joe Biden would continue to do what he does best and make misquotes and gaffs that could start world war III. He is the most unqualified of the four running for President2/Vice President2 than any of them. With his quick tongue with thinking he would be a disgrace representing the United States with foreign leaders. Obama has proved once again his inability to make a good decisions by picking poor old Joe.

    • Posted By: wgoin @ 10/26/2008 3:34:27 PM

Let me see, Chuck. You will not vote for Obama because of his choice of Joe Biden. I see. You prefer McCain's outstanding choice of Sarah Palin - "I can see Russia from my yard." You have got to be kidding!

  • Posted By: GREAT OAK @ 10/26/2008 3:34:06 PM

RACE DOESN'T PLAY MUCH OF A PART. WE JUST DON'T KNOW WHO OBAMA IS. HE BOTHERS ME IN MANY AREAS. FOR EXAMPLE, HE IS AN EXTREME SOCIALIST. HIS INEXPERIENCE COULD AND PROBABLY WILL HARM THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE THOSE WHO WOULD DESTROY US WILL PUSH TO SEE HOW FAR THEY CAN GO. MY FIRST CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT WAS CONDOLEEZZA RICE. RACE WAS INJECTED INTO THIS CAMPAIGN BY OBANA HIMSELF. FROM THE VERY FIRST, OBAMA'S ACTION AND ATTITUDE (ALTHOUGH UNSPOKEN) HAS BEEN , "IF YOU DON'T VOTE FOR ME YOU ARE A RACIST."

  • Posted By: mickeyj @ 10/26/2008 3:33:55 PM

If Obama was a white man named Fred Johnson he would have been out of the picture months ago and we would be talking about Billary!! No one with the baggage Obama carries combined with a complete and utter lack of qualification for the job could have gotten away with what he's gotten away with unless his skin color is black.

The thought of Obama in the White House plus a super majority in Congress scares me very badly. I do, however, look forward to the day that the liberal media such as Matt Lauer, Katie Couric, Meredith Viera, George however you spell that last name, Keith (Bathtub Boy) Olbermann, and the rest (oh yeah, Alan Colmes from FOX, too) actually asks a tough question of the Messiah. Will that "journalist" immediately become a racist? Who will Obama hide behind once Bush is no longer in office and the election is over. Eventually he will have to answer critics and that's when the fun will start.

It looks like an Obama victory is inevitable much to my dismay. I hope he delivers on his promises because we will all be watching. At last count he has promised to lower my taxes, improve my kids' schools and education level, make my city safer with more cops, get us out of Iraq immediately, improve foreign relations, give me virtually free health care, capture and/or kill Osama Bin Laden, balance the budget, lower gas prices, fix our economy, stop global warming, create MILLIONS and MILLIONS of new jobs, and so many other things I can't even remember them all. With a super majority he will not have any excuses.

I wish you well, President Messiah Obama. You owe this great country alot considering the racial divide your campaign has created to get you to the Oval Office. Best of luck and, again, we'll be watching..........

You say that many of the uninformed won't vote for Obama because of his skin ["Some had good reasons other than the color of Obama's skin to desert him; many more did not. In October, a study by the Associated Press estimated that Obama's race would cost him 6 percent. The percentage was smaller, but still enough to give the presidency to McCain."]

How many are voting for him because of his skin color? 98% of blacks are voting for Obama. Race?

This is truly amazing! Like the Washington Times article that was outraged that a hotel put up a McCain/Palin sign in "a predominantly African-American neighborhood"...huh? White people can't campaign in a black neighborhood? How stupid is that? If the Wa. Times wrote that Obama couldn't campaign in a white neighborhood, it would be equally stupid.

Again...name one single time that Obama crossed party lines to work with the Republicans? For that matter, name one time Obama has done anything?---Prime sponsor on a piece of legislation? NEVER.

Biden is right, America will be in an international crisis soon because terrorists know that Obama is green and not ready to lead. He is ready to be a motivational speaker, but he is not ready to lead. Biden needs to learn how to count to four, also...

It doesn't matter who wins the election , it's a lose-lose situation for America.

If Obama wins, which is most likely, anyone who criticize the black president, the race card will be played as it is now being done. Racial tension will increase. Instead of peace and unity, it will de divisive.

If McCain wins, Obama supporters will think they were robbed of the presidency due to his color. The race card will be played as it is now being done. Racial tension will increase.

Whatever the outcome, racial tensions will only increase in America.

The main reason Mc Cain will lose the election (if he does) is because of the left wing press and thier left spin they give to the news includiing thier coverage of the debates.NBC CBS & ABC are in the pockets of Democrats and Hollywood leftist librals America needs to wake up .We need to0 accept our own responsibility for this mess we have made of our country It is greed pure and simple.

    and Hollywood

The main reason McCain will lose this election, if he does, is that he offers nothing. Period. He does not talk about his programs - just spreads lies and fear about Obama. McCain is a man I once admired and respected. No more. And, he has no one to blame but himself. He has become the lowest politician I can remember. He spreads what he knows are lies but he is desperate and telling a lie - if it will get him the presidency - if okay with him. He has become a pathetic, dishonest and dishonorable human being. I truly pity him.

Heaven help us if Obama doesn't win. We need his vigor, intelligence, calm thinking, ability to transend boundaries, fresh ideas, ability to listen to his counsellors but in the end make his own informed decisions. This is definitely not the Republican way. Same old, same old.

Why would people vote for McCain? I just don't understand their flawed logic. We desperately need fresh blood in our government.

If McCain wins we'll be in dire straits, further losing any credibility in the world, and winding up as a 3rd rate nation. Can't people see the slide has escalated toward mediocrity in our country? What's wrong with you people! I wish McCain well, but let's face it, he's not for this country in these dire times.

    Any comments?

    Geepa

    • Posted By: grock40 @ 10/26/2008 3:27:12 PM

Well said Geepa and the fact that Obama can bring us together is displayed in his rallies as it represents the true melting pot of America. McCain's campaign and policies will continue to divide this country financially, racially and globally. To those of you who don't care what the world thinks, you better because this country cannot afford another war on its own financially or militarily.

    • Posted By: sf2145 @ 10/26/2008 12:33:57 PM

"Ability to transcend boundries"????? What a laugh. He has never gone against any issuse that his party has supported. He ONLY KNOWS where his bread and butter is spread. "Fresh ideas"???? His is working straight from the comunist manifesto that has been around for 100 years. How can you be so naive? "Spread the wealth"??? We need to take care only the following people in our country...tax paying citizens, children, aged, and handicapped. Obama wants to take care of all Americans so that we will feel safe like indians on a reservation. What ever happened to able bodied people working for their bread and butter? There should be no cradle to the grave free lunches. It only makes people dependent on getting their monthly ration of beef that they can shoot with arrows.

Heaven help us indeed. The Church had better do some serious praying if McCain and Palin wins or we will not only see the Great Depression again, but World War 3 to boot!

    • Posted By: markt_30 @ 10/26/2008 11:59:38 AM

Who cares what the world thinks about us? I personally don't live my life in hopes that some one else in the world is watching me to see if I mess up. They can think what they wantknowing that if they need us to help them with anything we will most likely be there for them dispite what they thik. I wonder what they would think if they could no longer feel if they can keep critisizing us, we will help them in times of crisis. I bet their attitudes would change very quickly

I hope mccain does not win. he might have been a great man at one time, but now, he doesn't care about the middle class. he just wants to win. and palin, she's out for own hide. she's already thinking 2012.

mccain dividing this country right now is unforgivable. socialism? is that his theme of the week? if mccain is so against socialism, then why did he vote yes on the $800 billion bailout? why did he come up with that stupid idea of buying up bad loans with taxpayer money? even democrats didn't like that idea. and is social security and medicaid/medicare socialist? and palin, isn't she running a welfare state? taking from the rich oil company and giving to her people? is that not socialism? if you don't like socialism, then drop social security. let those old people fend for themselves. this socialism theme mccain's got going on does not make sense. he can talk the talk, but his and palin's actions show they are the socialists here.

I am ashamed that Race appears to be an issue for many people this election. Our wallets, health, homes, and the wellbeing abroad is not dependent on the color of skin. It is truly amazing to see the put downs of both McCain and Obama. Whichever one wins this election will inherit a big mess... and have plenty to clean up. It is time for real change...change in the attitude of the people both Democrats and Republicans alike! Stop waiting on Washington to bring about change. It begins in our neighborhoods and cities. If you do not like what you see, get out there and do something. Stop crying about the candidates and let's do what we can to make change.
