All the media does is make it a racial issue. Face it both canidates SUCK! The only plus for McCain is political experience over a young politician who's only smart enough to never vote on anything that might be used against him in his constant campaign runs for higher positions without ever doing anything. No vote no risk!

Can I play the race card when/if Obama wins does that make me a racist? Am I right to laim he succeeded in getting into offiice by getting all his fellow african americans, oops he's a white/african american, to leave there normal places they collect their welfare and unemployed handouts from to come out and vote. What a success!!! Why not make it a sure win and allow all the inmates a vote?

It's not and never should be the goverments job to babysit those who can work but refuse to. Jobs are out there but why take one when you can get more in foodstamps and money from the slave master goverment..

Obama's just another Jimmy Carter, promised everything to voters while giving our country away. We're still paying for Jimmy and his mistakes. So h@#! lets do it again.!

We don't need Obama and all his special interests garbage politics.

Anyone who believes their taxes won't go up with Obama is kidding themselves. His way is tax and spend and feed money to all his supporters through earmarks.

Bush may not have been very good but you haven't seen bad yet - Obama will show you it if given the chance.

    • Posted By: NoGuilt @ 10/26/2008 2:21:27 PM

I wish the fact that his politics are garbage were equally harmless. But its not. Serious damage to the country will have to be undone. Far more than Bush. BY the way, under Bush we haven't had a terrorist attack in 8 years.

I have read and listen to the voters' comments about every topic that are part of and some that just plain doesn't make since. IF the first thing that comes out of your mouth is "I''m not racist" guess what, you are known for what you are thinking. He is both black and White. America are you thinking about the 1% of African American blood again? America is known for being bosterous. Have any of you ever lived outside of America and got a good glimse of the repretation America has built? Stop and listen It is time for a change. America can't keep up this awful charade. America has lost a lot. It is not the big cheese anymore. We need someone that people can trust, will do what is needed to turn this country around. to get rid of the lies, the underhandedness, the cheating, the deceit that has cause this country to fail. If you do vote for McCain you rather go broke, maybe you don't like eating either. Remember, he will continue with the plans that are already in place. (deceit) Maybe Obama's plans are simple. A lot of what is happening is solved by simple plans. We don't always need the difficult plans to settle things. Think twice before you make another stupid comment. Think twice before you vote. Think about what America really need. Peace, Peace, and a clear conscious mind, Life, Liberty and the persuit of happiness.

I agree with the welfare comment. Demacrats want to keep americans dependent on the government instead of making them work for their living. Get a clue mr democrat, if all the Republicans quite their jobs, do you think the people on welfare will seek to be employeed by them? you are truly out of touch!!!!!!!

    • Posted By: neos @ 10/26/2008 3:05:35 PM

People have been pushed to welfare by destructive repub economic policies. L

      • Posted By: WHY9999999 @ 10/26/2008 3:19:00 PM

You must not know too many people on welfare. I know dozens and I've seen them turn down good paying jobs because they don't want to take drug tests, they don't want to get out of bed before noon and because they are flat our lazy. Why would they go to work, Clinton allowed them to buy houses, you and I's tax dollars are subsidizes the interest on their homes to 1%, their cellphones only cost $1.00 a month, they get heating assistance to pay their electric bills and they have free medical care. There are poor people who are not poor by choice but I know plenty who are right where they want to be, riding a free ride at the fair around and around with people like me who work hard every day and make sacrifices pay the electric bill to keep their ride going.

Racism as "The original sin of American history - enshrined in our constitution"" is just plain wrong. What constitution are you reading? Yes, as a nation, we've been racist, but it has never been enshrined in the constitution. This article is pathetic, absolutely pathetic. And I hope to God dead wrong. If McCain wins, it is not going to be some somber victory, but a relief that an arrogant, linexperienced iberal sits in the White House.

  • Posted By: daddycat @ 10/26/2008 3:17:47 PM

Beacuse floks like you hang on to that Party as if your life is depending on it, for no reason other than your preverted sense of 'saving the race'. Almost all reasons you've mentioned are nothing but a cry to that end.

  • Posted By: dbhertz @ 10/26/2008 3:12:28 PM

So, white people who vote for McCain is racist?

What percentage of white people is voting for McCain and Obama. Compare what is the percentage of black people voting of Obama?

Then ask yourself who is racist?

The black people or white people.

    • Posted By: babybro @ 10/26/2008 3:17:29 PM

      @ Dbhertz

Of course you would say that, seeing as you refuse to accept that fact that 90% of the blacks have always voted for the democractic nominee for over 20 years now, but since they are now voting for a black person in office, it's all of a sudden racist. Once again, someone who tries to point a finger in the wrong direction instead of pointing back at himself. Makes me sick.

I'm tired of hearing about the "spread the wealth" comment. Wasn't it 8 years ago the McCain made the same statemaent at Michigan University. I you don't believe me go to the link below or do your own search. Stop with the socialist talk. This is a political election both of the has supported and disagreed with political facts and ideas.

This article is so blatently a promotion of Obama and a claim that the only reason this God-like man couldn't win is because of the racist tendencies of the ill-informed idiots in America's rural area's. I am thouroughly disgusted that I am meant to feel guilty for knowing that an Obama presidency will kill my small business and put millions of American's out of work. If he were white I would be just as angry about the possibillity of him winning ~ McCain may not win and that is the real tragedy. America will be missing out on having one of it's greatest hero and supporter not standing as our commander in chief. History will show our huge mistake in letting Hollywood and the media pick our president based on race and radicalism.

    • Posted By: Thevail @ 10/26/2008 3:15:51 PM

No..lets see who has a hollywood candidate..
Her "wardrobe" cost $150,000.00 and her "makeup artist" cost over 22,000.00..hmm. she can't speak sensible English without memorizing a script...Sarah Palin..the GOP's talking Barbie.

And yes, race IS the only reason that Obama might lose this election.

You see John McCain is "assumed" to be good enough because he is old and white.
Where Obama has had to "prove himself" on every single issue over and over and over and over...

And he has..he is simply four times the candidate for president that McCain was even in 2000. He is smarter, has a better temperment, surrounds himself with smarter advisors, knows how to connect with the American people, etc. etc.

And the entire McCain campaign has been nothing but one gimmick after another..
Remeber the great GAS TAX PANDER...
remeber how Obama was the only one against it..
Notice that the price is coming down without it...OBAMA was RIGHT..McCain OBVIOUSLY wrong.

    babybro,

So you are saying that every single person who casts a vote for McCain because they believe he is the better man for the job is basically part of the KKK? You are out of line on that comment and you know it. Tell me who with the McCain campaign has said one single word against Muslims? Over the past 8 years, Colin Powell certainly had no problem being behind President Bush and his politics. But now that he will most likely get appointed to a position of responsibility if Obama is elected, he is on board for Obama. Why can't you seem to get it through your head that those of us that are voting for McCain are not doing it because he happens to be white, but we are voting for him because we believe in him as a person, believe in the sacrifices he has consistently made for this country and he has the strength and fortitude to lead this nation in the direction it needs to go. Obama does not!

Biden even has the nerve to make a teaser statement about something that might happen in the first 6 months, if Obama is elected, and that he will need everybody's support, because the decisions he makes most likely won't be the perceived as the correct ones. I for one am not willing to just let him fly by the seat of his pants on some kind of national crisis when it affects my country and neither should anyone else.

  • Posted By: McCainforchange2008 @ 10/26/2008 3:15:06 PM

How typical that the media continues to make the election about race and what a sorry people we must be if we don't vote for "the One". You're right in a way in that the election has become a question of whether or not people buy into Obama. But give the voters the benefit of the doubt that any fear or trepidation of Obama is not about his race or ethnicity, rather, it's disagreement with his policies and the direction he would take this great country of ours. If he loses, the country should still relish how historic the election race was and have optimism for the future - for minorities and women running for office. Whoever wins will then have the daunting task of economic recovery and pulling the people back together as one.

  • Posted By: Cool Cat @ 10/26/2008 2:27:56 PM

Why is it is a white peron votes for McCain is racist but 96% of blacks are voting for Obama and no one points out that some of them must be voting based on skin color? I am voting for McCain because I think he is the better man to be president. I would vote for Larry Elder, Alan Keys or any number of black consertives if given a chance.

    • Posted By: daddycat @ 10/26/2008 3:11:10 PM

Because you hang on to that party as if your life is depending on it, for no reason no other than your race

    • Posted By: FloridaPalmFlower @ 10/26/2008 2:52:40 PM

I think you have a little spin-twist there, so let me see if I can help you out. Racism exists when a person of one ethnicity won't vote for someone from a different ethnicity BECAUSE they hate the color of their skin. Have no doubt that racism and prejudice exists in both black and white people. America - the melting pot of the world that is proving to exact a high price - we are a hate-filled people towards that which we don't understand and fear...

Based on the posts here, it sure looks to me that we will, once again, have a very close race. Guess the lib. media didn't get the memo that there are 2 candidates for the White House.

Buried in all of this racism stuff is an ideological shift towards communism. Especially played upon peoples economic fears. Really a result of their own greed.

Tell me this, what right did Obama/Biden have in publicaly attacking Joe the plumber, simply because he asked Obama a question that deseved an honest answer. Now if Obama supporters think this is just a campagne thing, they better think again. Just wait until Obama puts tenacles into their everyday lives.
Obama: Hey Joe that will be a 50.00 fine for leaving your lights on all night.

Joe: But Prez Obama, Im broke, I just paid 500. fine for no insurance. And your tax increrases are killing me

    • Posted By: grock40 @ 10/26/2008 3:08:26 PM

Joe the plumber better pay his back taxes before he thinks of buying a business. I wonder whose tax policy he owes taxes for? I'm sure someone ignorant like OhioE will blame Obama. This Joe the Plumber truly represents the uneducated in Ohio who have watched their jobs go overseas but continue to back the Repubs.

Why exactly is this drivel newsworthy? Was there nothing noteworthy to write about, or did editors run out of intelligence or imagination? An article about a hypothetical topic that has no foundation in hard facts or anything other than negativistic speculation seem ridiculous. This is the type of stuff that gives "pundits" a bad name. It is neither informative nor credible reportage. It does not display intelligent analysis or any real expertise. it is, in a word, crap. environmental consciousness, w

Well bogeybill, I guess that the younger man doesent have the white skin either, like you, I and McCain.
But aside from that, he has twice the IQ, twice the educational credentials, and he is a brilliant diplomat, as opposed to being a bad tempered old man, with a religious zealot sidekick to take his place if he snuffs it!
My concern here, way before the economy is the looming and very real prospect of McCain starting
World War III, and I don't think that you, I or anybody out there want to let this happen. It would be good for Boeng Corp, Lockhead Martin and the folks who make all the money from an arms race.
Obama opens the way to peace and prosperity, not only in the US, but throught the world. He is the best and only shot we have at this stage.
So bogeybill, if you have a family, children or loved ones who you would like to see have a life free of unspeakable misery and horror, I know that I can trust you to come to your sences and do the right thing for your country and the world at large and vote Obama/Biden for the presidency on Nov 4th 2008.
We are all counting on you bogeybill and I know that you wont let us down...

Whatever happened to unbiased journalism? This sort of thing should be labeled as an editorial, rather than making it seem like it is fact. I am a 51 year old who voted for Carter in 1976 because he was a change from any prior president, a Georgian and a Washington outsider. In return for my vote, even though the mortgage interest rate was 8% and the jobless rate was 7 or 8% when I voted Carter in, when he was done with us in1980 and I was graduating from college, the mortgage rate was 18% and the jobless rate was 12% which of course made it very hard for mr to get my first job and buy my first house. I am voting against Obama because every economic position he takes sounds exactly like Carter, not becasue I am a racist as this article alleges. "News" like this makes anyone who supports Obama or leans toward him hot under the collar and pushes them even more toward Obama for emotional, not rational, reasons. Obama supporters, please try to look past "news" reports like this and look at the issues. I hope you do not make the same mistake I did.
