    I am a conservative, once a long time ago a Democrat, changing to Republican when I learned about all the
    members of the Good Old Boy network ie, Kennedy, Byrd, Biden, Pelozi, oops, did I say Boy?, or the idiot from
    Arizona and all his cronies. I am not a racist, never have been, nor will I ever be. What I respect is experience, gray/white hair, and maturity, none of which the young man running against the older man has.

    missdot, what are you talking about? America's standing throughout the world will not be better with Obama! Give me a break! Joe Biden knows something is brewing if Obama becomes president! He said so himself, guaranteed within 6 months! What is it? Is it Israel's anger over Obama's nonchalant view of Iran's threats to their very existence?

      Julie, The beauty of America is that I can state my opinion and it is ok for you to disagree!!!!!!!! I believe that our standing across the world has diminished because of Bush's decision concerning Iraq without all the facts.

    yor artticles never cease to amaze me!! how can you be a journalistic operation and be so slanted toward one side? every time i take a big breath and dive into one of newsweeks articles i end up sick to my stomach about half way through!!!

    The question should of been, is Obama the right black president for America? Believe me we will have a black, white, asian, indian, woman, man blah blah one day its all about are they able to protect this country and run it. When one looks at McCains experance, policy compaired to Obama well McCain is the one who comes out on top. Race card no longer works cause frankly people are not racist.

    Get over yourself! People are getting away from Obama because he is a liar and a tool to his party--in no nicer words, just a "token". It has little to nothing to do with race. People who work hard for what they have are not going to "spread the wealth" to a bunch of undeserving, lazy, underacheiving Americans who want big brother to take care of them for the rest of their lives. The worst insult to minorities that ever happened was a charity called "affirmative action."

    You failed to mention one reason Why McCain Won, there is a group out there, a certain Demographic, that simply hates boomers. Gen-X. It took exactly two boomer presidents to drive this country into bankruptcy. Your God Clinton, give me a break, jackass is as dirty as they come. Obama? You see Jon, the thing is that as President you need to have a moral center, because there will eventually be a situation where you cannot rule by consensus or polling, you will need to look inside for the correct path. And like most if not all of your trend sucking boomers, your boy Obama lacks this. He sold out (sorry, bought in) a long time ago. It is about time an adult gets back in the white house. Just look around at a tattered country, once you boomers got power, the gloves got taken off, you figured out that less for someone else equaled more for you.

    The use of your media soapbox as a bully pulpit is shameful. As is the overwhelming media bias for Obama. What with his long list of accomplishments, I think he should just stand on his own merit. Make no mistake about it, if he were white, it would be a Hillary and someone else campaign. Oh, there was that little thing of the 22nd amendment, but WTF, they are Clintons.

    What a typical biased liberal media arguement..... only the uninformed and the racially bias will voted for McCain. The old God and Guns arguement that showed Obama's pure philosophy in the Pennsylvania primary. "We", the middle class need to be protected from ourselves. Give the Democrats our money for redistribution the wealth. Let them brain wash our kids in our schools with their Marxist/Socialist agenda.

    The truth of the matter.... Obama will loose because he is wrong on the issues and the wrong man for the job. In the end the "silent" majority will speak again as they have time and time again and the liberal's will sit around trying to find some one to blame for their loss

    MartinCarmel the reality is the America I live in is sick of the Democrat`s agenda to preserve wealth at the top by destroying the middle class. I am sure you know that this is only accomplished by creating a larger lower class. Poor people do not save money they have to live within the confines of living paycheck to paycheck which is the way the REAL Democrats like it. They like an Merica where people are forced to work till they die and will do it for pennies. Well I am sick of it and want to take my country back from the people who belive that wealth never changes hands it is only handed down.

I suspect race is a much bigger issue to the Blacks then to the Whites in this race. Believe it or not there are people who believe that Mr. Obama is not a flawless candidate, but of course they are LIVs and don't have your great knowledge and intellect.

    I alrady voted for McCain, and in regards to whites been racists, lets turn this around , blacks are voting for Obama mostly because he is black. So who are the racists? Also I do not want to distribute the wealth, I am not rich on the contrary lower very low middle class but iI have worked all my life and I am not in favor to give money to lazy people who dont have any idea of waht a decent day work is s worth.

      The crazy thing is that Obama probably would have benefitted you the most since he would be rolling back Bush's tax policies giving your money to the wealthy corporations.
      I make $80k and am single and young, so I'm in good shape no matter what. However, you really should have found out what was going to be done for you with both candidates. McCain didn't want you to know.

    It is quite apparent that Obama is no friends to Israel. That was evident in his last debate when the moderator asked the candidates "If Iran obtains a nuclear weapon and threatens Israel, one of our biggest allies, would you make the decision to go to the aid of Israel or would you get the permission first from NATO? He asked McCain first and he said immediately he would not wait for NATO, but would help Israel. Obama on the other hand skirted the issue, as usual, but eventually said that he would wait for NATO before doing anything to help Israel. And then there is the comment from Jesse Jackson that basically stated that if Obama were elected, Israel would no longer be at the top of the list as far as assistance from the US. Frankly that should scare the hell out of Israel and the Jews here in the US.
