Why McCain Won

In the last debate, Obama said that he voted PRESENT on the late-term abortion issue because there was already a law in place. If so, why didn't he have the guts to vote NO??? Poor leadership.

Putting forth race as the only reason someone would not vote for Obama is in itself racist. Personally I don't care if the man is white, brown, green or purple I'm just not ready to be a part of the Obamanation or a Citizen of the Worl as he puts it. Give me someone with the same values and beliefs as mine like J.C. Watts and see how fast I vote for a black man. Until then call me a RACIST ...... I'm not a citizen of the World ...... Leadership is not voting PRESENT over 120 times in the Illinois state senate. Obama does not have the guts or judgement to make the tough decisions.

That was pretty offensive. I live in the Florida panhandle and resent the implication that unless I vote for Obama I'm a racist. There are things that I dont like about all the candidates, but race is not a factor in my vote. I'll say this though, media bias, and the ignorant reporting of thoughtless opinion by his supporters turn me off to Obama almost as much as his half baked ideas on health care and taxes, his involvement with the Fannie Mae fiasco, and what I feel is a severe lack of perspective on the current situation in Iraq.

Perhaps what we should consider is McCain's past: divorcing his first wife and children, being invoived in the cause of the deadly USS Forrestal ship fire which killed over 100 men, crashing several planes during his early pilot career, and getting himself shot down and captured. These are not heroic acts. They are merely examples of bad judgement or bad luck, neither of which I want in my President.

I keep asking myself: Is this the best they can give us out of 300 million Americans? They really can't find anyone with more brains, more charisma, and frankly, more character? Our American politics truely must be bought and paid for.

May God help us, because I do not believe either Republicans or Democrats will.

The Republicans have proven time and time again that giving them any position of power is like giving a credit card and a gun to a 5-year old. Time to throw those bums out forever!!!

war in Iraq that has killed hundreds of thousands of people (American and Iraq citizens) while causing a million or so refugees to lose their homes their families as to create near 20,000 prisoners that have been jailed in prisons without due process- and now The American government doesnt have a clue what to do with them!

McCain politically authored this gigantic crisis!
And this is supposed to be his strong suite?
How pathetic, how low, this is fascism! How can a man stoop, to push his country into a war based upon subversion, duplicity anbd ego aand too claim that he is a patroit to do so?

I appeal to my American brothers and sisters- look hard into the mirror and ask yourself is this what America does, is this what we "one nation under god" stand for? Is this what we want to teach our children to be?

I do not support either candidate and will be voting for an Independent candidate (yes I am aware it is throwing my vote away, but better to vote my conscience). That said I am perplexed. McCain supporters are very much about bringing up Ayers, Wright, and Obama not putting his hand over his heart etc. The part that leaves me confused is, if this all bothers you how can you support a ticket with Palin on it?
First her husband is a member of the Alaskan Independence party that wants Alaska to succeed from the US. Palin herself spoke at one of their meetings. There is not logic that can associate being a secessionist with being a US patriot, in the least. The Party its self has some very questionable ties to shady organizations.
Then there is the matter of her being blessed by her minister to protect her from WITCHCRAFT! I do not agree with Wright but knowing the era he grew up in, filled with racial inequality and strife, I can at least understand where he is coming from. Belief in witchcraft I cannot understand even a little bit. The psychology behind that kind of belief involved in thinking witchcraft is a viable threat is frightening on to many levels.
