McCain's first Presidentail decision was a disaster. He selected Sarah I don't have a clue Palin. McCain can not select a proper running mater, how do you expect him to lead this country? I can not wait to vote for a man who will turn this country around and regain the respect of other countries across the world. YES WE CAN!

The "sad" truth is that Sarah Palin is the most qualified of all four candidates. She is the only one with Chief Executive experience. She is one of 50 Governors (a very effective and popular one at that). The other three are members of a pampered debating society. Barack Obama has only spent 145 DAYS on the floor of the Senate -- most to cast "present" votes. Sarah Palin may not yet be qualified for the Presidency, but Barack Obama has no credentials whatsoever. Consider this, too. Even a passing association with any one of these scoundrels -- Ayers, Rezko, Khalidi, Flager or Wright -- would preclude a lesser man from even receiving a security clearance. Yet you would vote for him to have his finger on the nuclear trigger? Is it not fair game to even ask about his background? Even he concedes some "lapses" in judgement, but then lashes out whenever he is pressed to elaborate. The Obama campaign cries foul over any guilt by association, yet their entire campaign has been built around creating a false illusion that McCain is really George Bush in sheep's clothing. It that's the standard, then I shudder to think who the real Obama is!

Believe it or not, many people will be voting for Mc Cain and not against Obama. Many are republicans, NOT racist. To label everyone who is not an Obama support as a racist is as wrong as not voting for Obama because you are racist. I know racism is real in our country, so is sexism. Ask Hillary. Your artical clearly states that if Obama loses, it will be because of his race. This is only to provoke anxiety and guilt. Your form of public influence?

Is this article a joke? This is so skewed for obama it is rediculous. Watch, Obama will loose and there will be massive, massive riots. Every federal agency is already training for it. The left wing media can only cover up so much for Obama... This week you will be seeing a lot more of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQXcImQfubM

I found this article based in its entirety on unchecked facts and very insulting to the itegrity of Americans in general Republican or Demorcrat.

If you disagree with Obama, then that is fine. But many people, especially where I am from, have completely dismissed the idea of voting for him just because of the color of his skin and they cling to what they have been misinformed on as an excuse. They havent watched any debates, they dont know their views on all issues, they know nothing more than what they have heard through other people, which is incorrect. I agree with the author. And I pray Obama wins. McCain will not do anything more for us.

    • Posted By: david001 @ 10/26/2008 1:02:41 PM

Why do you snobs think that low information voters are voting for McCain? I would think its the other way around.

  • Posted By: CAgirl2 @ 10/26/2008 12:36:11 PM

The hatred and downright meanness on these posts is simply awful. We need to come together, folks, no matter who wins. Our country's future depends on it.

    • Posted By: hardworkinmom @ 10/26/2008 12:55:01 PM

I agree we all need to join together. I truly believe this is a campaign NOT based on race. We all need jobs and a sense that America is not going to fall apart! The government needs to make the poor get jobs. Many people are stuck in a viscious cycle. I do get tired of working so hard when I see people on welfare that could easlily be working! What about those that need diaability and can't get it? Psychiatric care is truly lacking as well. So many people fall thru the cracks. I blame the congress. It is not always the President. I am a McCain supporter. He is a good man and I believe he can reform America. I am worried that A democrat in office will increase my taxes. And no, I do NOT make $250,000/year.... We need a congress that will work with the Pres and not against him.

      • Posted By: leepdx @ 10/26/2008 1:02:40 PM

So you make over 250K a year? If Joe and you make over that amout say Joe's fake 280K it would cost an add'l $900 a year. How does that compare to $1000 tax break for those of us who've worked hard for 25 years that make 40K? America has socialized the banking industry so clearly we have a corporate socialist society already.

Why is there no press coverage on Obama's citizenship? And please, CNN is about as liberal as they get. Come on, every minute they're "praise obama" "praise obama" bash palin, bash palin, bash palin.
Disregard all the gaffes made by Biden and Obama

  • Posted By: iamme! @ 10/26/2008 12:19:12 PM

Jfw this countrys economy has already been damaged by the GOP!!! Science tells me that Mccain could possibly die in office and then Palin will be President. Scary. Logic tells me that Obama is a very intelligent man who wants to do what is best for the country as a whole. It's time we had a President that isn't a good old boy with the good old boy mentality. Also, most Economists support Obama. It's time for a Paradigm shift in this country.

    • Posted By: JFW123 @ 10/26/2008 1:02:08 PM

      Iamme,
See there it is...all talking points. You don't provide any real reason to vote for Obama. Barack "wanting to do what's best for the country" is not the same as doing what's best for the country. Agreed, Bush made huge mistakes, but it wasn't just Bush. It was Barney Frank and the Democrat group that refused to listent to the calls from the right that something needed to be done about Freddie and Fannie. It was the social engineering again that forced these companies to maintain a quota of loans to low income individuals that could never pay them back. This is fact, check up on it. We have countless taped recordings of democrats like Barny Frank and Maxine Waters saying how Freddie and Fannie didn't need to be reformed and they did a fantastic job helping the low income comunity get houses. What a crock! They lent to people who couldn't pay them back , because the democratic social engineers thought "everyone" deserved their own house. No, everyone does not deserve a house. If you can't pay for one, sorry, you don't deserve one. Now if we would have left the free market to decide this, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in.

Again, let me stress, that I think Bush spent way too much and this bailout thing is absurd, but he is certainly better than Barack. Furthermore, McCain has said time and again that he dissagrees with bush and wants a spending freeze, while Obama wants to keep on spending.

As far as your claim that most economists agree with Obama, that is just untrue. Obama may be smart, but he doesn't have any background in economics. If you read economic text books, and most economic journals, you will find that indeed, most economic scholars denounce social engineering as a flawed and outdated philosophy. Free markets, while also flawed, still have done more to improve standards of living across the Globe than any other philosphy out there. Just ask yourself one question. Why has the united states been the most prosperous and powerfull country in the world for so long? Why does it also provide the most freedom for its people? We are obviously doing something that others aren't doing. What is that? Well it's our fundamental philosphy that freedom creates prosperity, and freedom allows our people to do what we do best. We aren't hampered by regulations, and a government that thinks they know best on how to spend our money. We are still the freest country in the world and we need to fight to keep it that way. Are there any other countries in the world that have shown the economic strength and consistency of the US, while allowing it's people to be among the freest in the world? The answer is categorically no. This notion that we need to be more like everyone else is just absurd.

science includes genetics....look how old mccains mom is and realize he has enough years left to go at least one term and probably 2. and don't think the melenoma will have any effect. I work with cancer patients all the time and if it has't matastisized by the time it's removed, it won't kill you

This is the stupidest, most left-slanting so-called piece of "journalism" I have read in a while! Pathetic...

  • Posted By: comment2u @ 10/26/2008 1:01:37 PM

What a piece of garbage this article is! A pure waste of the electrons used to assemble and transmit it.

Perhaps what we should consider is McCain's past: divorcing his first wife and children, being invoived in the cause of the deadly USS Forrestal ship fire which killed over 100 men, crashing several planes during his early pilot career, and getting himself shot down and captured. These are not heroic acts. They are merely examples of bad judgement or bad luck, neither of which I want in my President.

I keep asking myself: Is this the best they can give us out of 300 million Americans? They really can't find anyone with more brains, more charisma, and frankly, more character? Our American politics truely must be bought and paid for.

May God help us, because I do not believe either Republicans or Democrats will.

  • Posted By: screwrepublican @ 10/26/2008 1:01:34 PM

If the republicans were the smartest people, just look at the wall street -which was run by Ivy leages MBA's and reds. The smartest people are the blues and democrats. They believe in govt. intervention. Who is receiving the handouts -it the reds and the high income stupids.

  • Posted By: purpleconservative @ 10/26/2008 1:01:12 PM

Obama does not have the judgement, experience, or credibility to lead. Enough said.

OBAMA REFUSES TO ANSWER BIRTH CERTIFICATE LAWSUIT

A Pennsylvania lawsuit alleging that Barack Obama is not a ???natural-born citizen??? of the United States took an unusual twist this week, after a federally mandated deadline requiring Obama???s lawyers to produce a ???vault??? copy of his birth certificate expired with no response from Obama or his lawyers.

The lawsuit, filed by former Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General Philip J. Berg ??? a self-avowed supporter of Hillary Clinton ??? alleges that Barack Obama was born in Kenya and is thus ???ineligible??? to run for president of the United States. It demands that Obama???s lawyers produce a copy of his original birth certificate to prove that he is a natural-born U.S. citizen.

The Constitution provides that any U.S. citizen is eligible to become president if the person is 35 years of age or older and is a natural-born citizen; that is, born in the territorial United States.

By failing to respond to the Request for Admissions and Request for the Production of Documents within 30 days, Obama has ???admitted??? that he was born in Kenya, Berg stated this week in new court filings.

Berg released a long list of ???admissions??? he submitted to Obama???s lawyers on Sept. 15, and asked that they produce documents relating to Obama???s place of birth and citizenship.

Instead of responding, lawyers for Obama and the DNC asked the court to dismiss the case. But Judge R. Barclay Surrick of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania has issued no ruling in the case that would have given Obama???s lawyers more time.

    ???

way to go Obama Camp. Cancell all appearances on a central Florida T.V. station just because Biden was asked simple, direct questions. Is this how it's gonna be if your elected? Media blackout just because you don't like the questions? Keep it up, we don't need you in the white house anyway! Oh, for you that didn't see it on this sight, ask yourself why it wasn't here? Come on News week Fair and balanced reporting s the goal of all media reporters.

The hate mongering is growing a true racial divide not previously socially acceptable turned on by McCain Palin Politics. All the years of race relations and supression of the kkk, and Young Natzi party erased in months energizing the growth of these anti social groups. White supremacy is growing as hatretd is fired and brought to the surface. Hate of anyone who is not white and not Catholic. It got John Kennedy killed and the hatred and fear growing again. Stop it when you go to the POLLs. Vote Obama 2008

  • Posted By: sf2145 @ 10/26/2008 12:08:56 PM

Your assumption that common sense people and decent people will only vote for Obama id riduclous if not totally unfair fo you to say. Ultraliberals all seem to feel that if anyone has a concern with Obama proves that they are a racist. What a bunch of hogwash. Obama is not perfect by a longgggg way. So get a life. The real proof as to who the racists are will be the 98% of the blacks that vote for Obama. Nobody is good enough to get 98% of a groupe vote unless they are unbelievably biased in their voting choices. So again get a life and print something that is actually thought provoking instead of your political agenda. You are simply falling in line with the farleft media bias that has worked so hard to brainwash the American public. If Obama wins it will be because of the medias constant bias "reporting" that some Americans fall for as facts. The only news that you folks get fairly correct are tragedys that occur. And if McCain wins that will n ot be a tragedy. Smug ivory tower elitists are the ilk that makes this election so disgusting with your condescending remarks.

sf2145........Your assumption that common sense people and decent people will only vote for Obama id riduclous if not totally unfair fo you to say.

Actually its not. My mother always said, "Birds of a feather, flock together". This bird flocks only with the ones who "take the HIGH road".

    • Posted By: LeosRule @ 10/26/2008 12:57:43 PM

That has got to be the most idiotic comment I've read thus far. How you could say that proof of racism would be shown by the 98% of people that vote for Obama is beyond comprehension. I'm African-American and I will be voting for Obama, not because he's black, but because I believe he's the right person for the job. However, I voted for Hilary in the primaries. So let me get this correct. According to you, because I'm voting for Obama it's only because he's black and I'm a racist but I wasn't racist when I voted for Hilary who is white? I don't get it. True, there's going to be a great number of people that vote for Obama because he's black but I find it totally unfair and again, idiotic, of you to say that 98% of people will vote for him because of that reason. Could it be that 98% of Obama supporters are fed up with the current administration and want a change regardless of the color of the candidate's skin? Get a life.

  • Posted By: ldavi32 @ 10/26/2008 12:58:01 PM

90% of you people ( Republicans) need to learn how to read and to put together a coherent sentence

  • Posted By: skyone @ 10/26/2008 12:47:54 PM

In reading some of these comments, it seem that lot of McCain supporters are out of touch with the fact that racism still lives in the hearts of some Americans... The article never said that all of McCain???s supports were racist, only a percentage... Although the percentage is small, because White America is still the majority, it account for a large number of votes. Wakeup people, as racism still lives in your families, neighborhoods, schools, towns, cities and your country... Pointing out racism and knowing that it???s alive should not make us angry; so, if we all just realize that change has no color, hope will save us all...

    • Posted By: azureblue @ 10/26/2008 12:57:54 PM

"Hope will save us all" That has got to be one of the sillyest things I ve read yet. ""Hope" will not lower our corporate tax rate, 2nd only to Japan. Hope will not put the brakes on our government spending. McCain."2 year freeze" Hope tried to put everyone in a house of their own, look how that turned out. Republicans may have failed to regulate, but democrats where the ones with their hads in the cookie jar. By that logic, I should be to blame if I leave my house unlocked and someone robs me.These changes require legislation and restraint, on things Obama has never supported.
