Why do people think that Obama has enough experience to be president?, but that Sarah Palin does not have enough experience to be v.p., ? She has more experience in goverment , that he does, i think the American people should worry more about the Presidental cand. having the know how that he needs, if Obama gets elected we will be the laughing stock of the world........

      laughing stock?
I think Bush already met that goal.

I will now say what everyone is afraid to say. The Democrat Party are keeping minorities down by implying that they are not smart enough or entrepreneurial enough to make it without the government's help. This is the most racist strategy ever. Keep them in their place Democrats so they continue to vote for you. That's all you really want after all...their vote. Pathetic and you will soon be called out on this practice.

Valid point, but you can also make the case that Republicans do the same thing to "control" their base. Ever felt the strong arm of the Evangelical Right? Unfortunately though the ranks of the Democrats are growing. Not in small part to the current economic climate which was presided over by a Democratic congress.

Here is an example of real life:
I live in a suberb of Little Rock, Arkansas and suport Obama, I put my sign out and the next night it is stolen, I put another sign out and the next night it is vandalized. I am white but am very seriously afraid to put another sign out. With haloween so close I seriously fear for my property. would I have the same fear if it were Mrs. Clinton who had won the primary, I think not.

What do the top ten most empoverished cities have in common? Every one has had a Democrat mayor for longer than 20 years, many as long as 100. If you always do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten.

    • Posted By: Lovly2008 @ 10/26/2008 12:14:37 PM

Actually, what they all have in common is that they were on their way out when the Democrats took over.....like now? Hope its not too late for us. Bush has shown himself to be the biggest embezzler of all times.

      • Posted By: mortons6 @ 10/26/2008 12:18:22 PM

Many of thise cities had Democrat mayors since the early 1900s. I don't think they were 'on thier way out' then.

After listening to coffee shop talk (and they may very well may have a point), this country looses either way. If McCain gets elected the blacks will make the Watts and Rodney King riots look like a tea party. If Obama gets elected some white supremeist will kill him. This country doesn't need either of these to happen! It appears to me this country is very racist as a whole!!!!!!! This may be the first real issue our new President has to address, whoever wins.

It is ludicrous and stupid that our democracy has been marginalized to those that believe a person's name should exclude them from running for office. Gen. Powell said it well when he told the story of a young muslim who gave his life for this country in Iraq. Uninformed and ignorant people, like the person calling themself cshore, should be ashamed of their lack of knowledge and also understand that this nation belongs to everyone, not those with blue eyes and European sounding names!

  • Posted By: rutgers1 @ 10/26/2008 12:17:14 PM

no one says it's racist for white people to vote for mccain! what they do say is it is racist to not vote for obama just because he's black...i've heard direct stories of people saying they will never vote for a n@$#%r. That is racist. Plenty of people who are white are voting for obama as well, so until you actually read a newspaper instead of just watching sean hannity for most of your info, SHUT THE HELL UP!

  • Posted By: purpleconservative @ 10/26/2008 12:03:56 PM

In the end, Obama's attempt to socialize the U.S. will be a complete disaster. Mitt Romney will rise from the ashes and prove that America, through capitalism and the American spirit, will once again become a shining city on the hill (Reagan). Watch the fiscal conservatives rise to power and subdue the social conservatives. After all, smaller government means keeping the government out of every aspect of our personal lives. This will be the platform of the new republican party.

    • Posted By: bigjimslick @ 10/26/2008 12:16:59 PM

Not a bad idea. If the rebublican party would run a real fiscal conservative we would not be in this mess nor would the republicans be behind in the poles. Taxes would not have to be raised due to the defecit, because there would be no big defecit to begin with. At this point though a true fiscal conservative would be sounding more like Obama, wanting to end the Iraq war and riase taxes to balance the budget.

Why is racist for whites to vote for McCain because he is white but we never hear or allowed to bring up blacks voting for Obama because he is black? Another media double standard.

Dear God in Heaven!!! Will you people PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK and stop listening to hate spinning??? Our nation was founded by people who did their homework and knew what they believed and had reasons for those beliefs based on justice and equality! Check out everything that actually concerns you and really study it...don't take anyone else's word for it...SHOW UP FOR YOUR OWN LIFE, and then see what you notice! The only losers are those who are incapable of having an intelligent conversation on issues, and who vote their prejudices and ignorance.

Those Low Information Voters are going to have to be blind and deaf not to see or hear an Obama commercial between now and election day. With a war chest three times larger than McCain's, and a silmutaneous half hour block on all the major networks (oh, yes, and also on that unbiased source of information, Fox), it will be all but impossible to escape the message that Obama has been driving home since he started running: that we are worse off now that we were eight years ago, and we can not afford another four years of the same.

    • Posted By: jfmccann @ 10/26/2008 12:15:53 PM

I sure won't waste my time watching Obama. If he hasn't got his stupid message out there ty now, he never will.Enter Your Comment

I resent the fact that the writer says that most voters aren't knowledgeable. I do listen and read. I don't believe that either man running is quailifed for the office but this is all we have. I a so tired of the ads, the phone calls and the people at the door. The way I vote is my business not theirs or yours. Both of these men are making many promises it is up to us to decide which they will keep and which they will not. The writer asked ate we ready for a black President? I don't know. I all know is that BO's road was planned down to the last second and I was upset that he road the coat tails of Martin L. King when he accepted, that is rigth, I believe 45 years to date that MLK gave his "I have a Dream" speech. I am sure that McCain has done something like but it did not stick like this did, I have great respect for MLK. To bad we can't take the best of both. I see raised taxes and more of the same who ever gets in office and more hard times for the people. There is a lot of work to be done and it is going to take all of us and the way it stands today that is not going to happen. People are going to vote their hearts and not with logic. As always just my opinion.

Obama "THE ONE" who will put us all on welfare, or give our country away.
By the way How much does Michelle Obama's hair cost her to keep up?
How much did Hilary cost the tax payers? Never hear about this do we?
Who paid to have Obama see his Grandmother in Hawaii? OH...I know, he needed votes from Hawaii.
Grandma is depressed from having a hip surgery...OMG you'd think GRANDMA was going to die OMG! Okay, it's already starting the big spender is on the loose.

      • Posted By: zinka @ 10/26/2008 11:09:16 AM

We all know what has been promised by both. Who cares what is costs for up keep on hair. It will continue win or loose. Who pays for all of this crap, we do, the taxpayer, they put it on a expense report and turn it in. Mud slinging is not going to change anyone mind, it just makes them mad. As always just my opinion.

    Voter usa,
your argument is very stupid! i love the fact that some of you are attempting to hide your racism with invalid arguments. McCain represents all that is wrong with this country, the fact that these stinking republicans question the patriotism of every American who runs against them clearly shows that they don't care about nothing but themselves. I will vote no to morons like you all day, everyday as you and the rest of these stinking repukes running under the umbrella of patriotism are the real hate mongers of this country.
VOTE NO TO MCCAIN AND ALL HIS RACIST CRONIES, THE STINKING REPUBLICAN PARTY

We may as well give bush another term if mckain wins palin is really bad she is worse,, we will for sure end up in the toilet,, GO OBAMA,,,

  • Posted By: ConcernedLHorn @ 10/26/2008 12:11:53 PM

Amazing. After reading the post by Geepa, I think he is confused since he flipped the names. If Obama wins, that administration will make the Carter years look good. Those who are expecting less war will see more and the middle east will test him to no end.

Add to all of that and we will have all three branches severely tilted to the far left, which means spending will jump along with taxes. Do not believe for one minute Obama will reduce taxes. Watch, if he gets elected, that within a few months of being in office he will say something to the effect "oh, I really wanted to give a tax break but the economy can not handle it."

Equally amazing his how he became the number two recipient of funds historically from Freddie Mac and Sallie Mae in just the few short years he has been in the Senate. And it was Barney Frank's boyfriend who was over them. Hmmmm, and we do not blame them for the mortgage crisis. People need to get off of the "I hate Bush" and vote for the right candidate.
