John McCain is a big joke. First he picked a running mate who cares nothing about spending political and public funds for her own private use. And second, she should dye her hair blond to match the dumb lies she continues to try to feed the voters. Like Palin, McCain has the distorted perception that the American voters believe his lies as he talks on both sides of his tongue. Somehow, the both John and Cindy McCain have a way of slipping through the cracks when they break the law. It is my belief Cindy McCain should have the position of "Drug Czar" for the U.S. Her drug use and marriage to John is a perfect example of the drug McCain is trying to influence voters with. As McCain tries to explain his position on several key issues, he sounds like a fish talking out of the water. Not only is he not in touch with the reality of the needs of the American people, he doesn't know when to admit he has no knowledge of a particular issue. A perfect example is his choice of running mate. He didn't know her well. He probably picked her because she is a woman and he possibly believed she was nice to look at. Now when voters look at Palin, we see someone who doesn't mind: Spending her party's money to fund an expensive wardrobe, and spending time defending other questionable ethical issues. Maybe McCain looked at Palin, as he looked at Cindy when he decided he would divorce and marry her. He saw a Cash Cow". In other words, "I am marrying you for money, honey!" Now with the ticket of McCain/Palin, the American people will be sorry when we find out that if they somehow manage to fool the voters, or steal the election with shady vote counts; that we wake up and find they have robbed this country of its finances and send us into the dark ages. After McCain and Palin lose the election, maybe they can take their acting skills to Hollywood and audition for leading roles in:

1. McCain has served his country his whole life. He's so old, that's why it's been such a long time!
2. Both candidates are politicians, and politicians cannot be trusted....period. However, learn the facts....they aren't what you think. Obama's associations aren't as bad as the Republicans have tried to make it.
3. Redistribution of wealth....that's what taxation is! How long have Americans been paying taxes? Taxes will never go away. It's a matter of how much we all pay, and that depends on what the President can actually accomplish with the Senate and the House.
4. Obama's lack of military service has NOTHING to do with whether he would be a good president or not. George W. was never in the military, and look how that's turned out! George W. never ran a successful, profitable business, and he's proven, at our expense, that he can't run a country either!

Personally, I would like to have another candidate to vote for. However, the lesser of two evils is Obama. McCain thinks middle class makes up to $4 million. On what planet? McCain is not for middle America. He may be stronger from a military perspective, but he also voted with President Bush 90% of the time. It's true that we can't afford another 4 or 8 years of the Bush-like administration. It is time for change. What's so wrong with taking a chance on a candidate that sounds like it's the right things for America? Obama cannot be worse that George W., and we need a Democrat back in office.

It used to be that race divided America; today, it's much more about politics that divides us. But the beauty of America is that we have the right to believe what we want, to make our own decisions, the freedom to express those opinions, and the freedom to vote. Sure, part of the country will be disappointed by the nominated president, but we need to move forward.

McCain scares me. But Palin scares me to much more. Having Palin in the White House will be another joke like having George W. in the White House.

Jonathan plays the race card for Obama. The complete message of this article is that you must vote for Obama or be labelled a racist and ignorant of the superior intellect of the media. There is no place for those of us who do not share their values. I made up my mind this week after reviewing Obama's proposals on his web site and comparing them to John McCain"s.
1. Economy. John McCain's proposal is pro employer and therefore employment. Obama's proposal puts the U.S. suppliers at a further disadvantage to foreign competitors . The country needs to retain and invest in jobs more than it needs gifts for political benefit to the remaining employed. I believe that Obama and the media are wrong.
2. Energy. Both candidates agree that increased domestic production of petroleum is required as a bridging strategy to the yet to be identified future alternative energy sources. McCain is fully committed to increase domestic production. Obama will only commit to "study" doing so. I'm disappointed that both candidates continue to ignore the shale oil opportunity, but McCain has a positive plan. Obama does not. This issue is greater in significance to solving the countries cash flow problem than all other factors combined.
3. Medical services. Obama favors government run medical services. McCain supports resolving the problems and retaining the benefits of our current private health care. Having lived 5 years in England, I state with certainty that McCain's direction is the better of the two.
4. Pro life versus Pro choice. I side with McCain.
5. Terrorist and foreign threats to our nation's security. I have more confidence in McCain as does the military personnel by a three to one majority.
6. Trust and confidence. Obama'a policies and behaviour are patterned after his mentors Emil Jones and Rob Blagovich, Senate majority leader and governor of Illinois respectively, The Illinois government has been dysfunctional for the last 6 years while both the Legislative and Executive offices have been under control of the same party. This cannot be afforded at a national level. McCain, has been protrayed as being a continuation of George Bush. That simply is not the case. McCain is a centrist who has parted with Bush on many critical issues whereas Obama has followed the Democrat party line with 97% consistency.

The preceding are the reasons that I am voting for McCain. My motives are what is in the best interest of the country. If that is being racist and ignorant, so be it.
