Obama advisor wants talks with terrorists

The revelations about Obama's relationship with Khalidi follows a recent WND article quoting Israeli security officials who expressed "concern" about Robert Malley, an adviser to Obama who has advocated negotiations with Hamas and providing international assistance to the terrorist group.

Malley, a principal Obama foreign policy adviser, has penned numerous opinion articles, many of them co-written with a former adviser to the late Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat, petitioning for dialogue with Hamas and blasting Israel for numerous policies he says harm the Palestinian cause.

Malley also previously penned a well-circulated New York Review of Books piece largely blaming Israel for the collapse of the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations at Camp David in 2000 when Arafat turned down a Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza and eastern sections of Jerusalem and instead returned to the Middle East to launch an intifada, or terrorist campaign, against the Jewish state.

Malley's contentions have been strongly refuted by key participants at Camp David, including President Bill Clinton, then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and primary U.S. envoy to the Middle East Dennis Ross, all of whom squarely blamed Arafat's refusal to make peace for the talks' failure.

"That doesn't mean Obama lost because all, or even most, McCain voters allowed race to be a factor. But enough did to change the outcome." You have that backwards Jonathon, Obama will win BECAUSE of race ... 95% of blacks will vote for him and that will be the deciding factor. It's likely that more than 1/3 of white voters wil go for Obama ... if the same percentage of black voters went for McCain, this election would not even be close. Before questioning the "decency and common sense" of whites who vote for McCain (some small percentage admittedly due to skin color), you might first want to question the much, much larger percentage of black votes he receives for that very same reason. Personally I say to each his own ... vote for whomever you want for whatever reason you want, but if you are going to question certain voters motives, then provide a balanced portrait.

Where was Barak Hussein Obama born? Where is his birth certificate? The case is now going to the Supreme Court. Obama will not be able to ignore it (nor will Obama's media).

Imagine if Sarah Palin was not born in the USA! Oh., my god, would we hear about it from Gibson and his troopers at msnbc.... Ok, be though on all of them but, please apply the same criteria to everyone.

Has anyone noticed that Obama seems to be catching up in Arizona? And he is doing better than expected in Texas. McCain may loose his home state.

Jonathan Alter should be ashamed of himself. His assumption is that anyone who votes for McCain is a racist, and lacks common sense and decency. I thought the election was supposed to be about the best man for the job and not the color of his skin. There are still many voters who truly believe that McCain is the best man for the job and that Obama is poorly perpared to be the Commander-in-Chief. Please don't disrespect those voters who actually care more about the issues and less about the color of skin.

"If you let me write $200 billion a year in hot checks, I'll give you an illusion of prosperity too," said Lloyd Bentsen describing Reagan's economic policies. The republican irresponsible 'cut taxes' mantra, annual deficit spending, and 'borrow and spend' philosophy has brought this nation to the verge of bankruptcy. They choose to ignore the ten trillion in national debt to the Chinese, Saudis, and others. Taxes have to be paid and responsible adults understand this. Irresponsible people don't.

How can the Commander and Chief of the most powerful military be denied access to classified information? Barack Obama would be denied the necessary security clearance for President if he was held to the same standard as everyone else. If you can???t pass a Secret level background investigation, which is required for many soldiers, you should not be eligible for the Presidency.
The purpose of the clearance is to determine an individual???s honesty, trustworthiness, reliability, financial responsibility, criminal activity, emotional stability, foreign influences, family associations, drug use, mental health, judicial proceedings, employment history, traits of character, and loyalty to the United States. Based on the facts about Barack Obama, he fails to satisfy the minimum requirements for even a basic secret clearance.
Obama???s Answers on the Security Clearance Application Instead of going through all the Security Clearance Application questions, I???ll examine the questions that would deny Barack Obama a Secret Clearance.
Have you ever been an officer or a member or made a contribution to an organization dedicated to the violent overthrow of the United States Government and which engages in illegal activities to that end, knowing that the organization engages in such activities with the specific intent to further such activities?
Have you ever knowingly engaged in any acts or activities designed to overthrow the United States Government by force?
These two questions go hand and hand. Having gone through the interview phase of the clearance process a number of times, I can???t image the look on the face of the investigator nor the sheer amount of time it would take to explain Barack Obama???s anti American ties.
Sen. Barack Obama served as a paid director alongside a confessed domestic terrorist and granted funding to a controversial Arab group that dubbed the creation of Israel as a ???catastrophe.??? The founder of the Arab group in question, Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, also has held a fundraiser for Obama. Khalidi is a harsh critic of Israel, has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti western terrorism.
Have you illegally used any controlled substance, for example, marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, hashish, narcotics (opium, morphine, codeine, heroin, etc.), amphetamines, depressants (barbiturates, methaqualone, tranquilizers, etc.), hallucinogenics (LSD, PCP, etc.), or prescription drugs?
Barack Obama has specifically admitted to using marijuana and cocaine in his book ???Dreams From My Father.??? He even confesses pursuing heroin, but was scared of the drug dealer. A clearance question such as this is used to test someone???s ethical fortitude to stand up for what is right, legally forbidden, and ultimately make correct decisions. Obama fails this test with his weakness to deny temptation.

  • Posted By: Let's Get A Clue @ 10/28/2008 5:26:19 PM

You know, there's been a lot of facts thrown around in this election, but here's the primary reason why I'm voting McCain. And (OMG!) it has nothing to do with race. And (OMG OMG!) I will actually provide you the links to verify it yourself.

All of these pro-Obama posts glaze over the most important fact about his taxes: Tax increases on corporations.

Fact (http://www.census.gov/csd/susb/2005/usst05.xls): Firms with 20+ employees employ 81.6% of Americans.

    Fact (http://www.bea.gov/newsreleases/national/gdp/2008/pdf/gdp208f.pdf page 12): The average reported (i.e., tax-basis) profit-per-employee is approximately $12,450 (divide the 2005 pre-tax corporate profits - $1,447.9B - by 2005 total employees - 116.3M).

    Fact: $12,450 x 20 = $249,000.

Fact: Obama will raise taxes on corporations and small businesses with more than $250,000 in profit.

Fact: 80% + of all Americans work for a company that will be subjected to Obama's tax increases.

Please note also that these are 2005 numbers, since 2006 and later numbers are not available for firm size yet. Regardless, based on productivity numbers, the average profit(tax basis)-per-employee in 2008 will be HIGHER than $12,450.

Do any of you honestly believe that the result of your employer having its taxes raised is a wage INCREASE, or a benefits INCREASE, or enhances your ability to find a job if you're unemployed?

Do any of you honestly believe that INCREASING taxes on American corporations makes them LESS likely to move jobs overseas?

    Please stop drinking the Kool-Aid.

So you are saying that the only way John McCain has a chance is white racism? Remember, Mccain has proven victorious even after you pundits said he didn't have a chance ."Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" in those scenarios certainly did'nt rely on racism!. The real scenario will be nationwide riots because of accusations like yours Mr Alter!

    • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 10/28/2008 2:17:51 PM

Sorry but more than a few McCain supporters have posted that they are basically praying for the "Bradley Affect" and what is that but racism. They seem to believe that this is the only way that McCain can win!

      • Posted By: News and Notes @ 10/28/2008 2:27:19 PM

Most people are taking the high road. Obama himself has said that the race factor is probably a wash, since his race may have energized as many people as it turns off. I hope and pray that almost all McCain and Obama supporters are hoping that the election results are based purely on the merits of the candidates.

        • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 10/28/2008 5:04:53 PM

Unfortunately this election is already having a great many problems. ACORN, Fake Dems stealing absentee ballots and posting misinformation regarding voting, etc. I would love to just be able to go to a polling station and vote without there being any other "Issues". I am willing to bet there will be screams about having a recount regardless of who wins.

I cannot wait until this election is over as it has become really draining.

  • Posted By: LVUONG @ 10/28/2008 12:35:55 PM

No problems, we all, actually the whole world, China and Iran, are worshipping Obama. He is like a god, or the savior, who can solve all problems, without any experiences or being tested. Maybe American people are smarter than that, Joe The Plumber, and all other business owners, will be punished and taxed, and they will not be able to expand and create more jobs. Obama is an extreme liberal leftist, the worst of the worst among the Democrats, even his philosophy is worse than Jimmy Carter's economic policy.

    • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 10/28/2008 2:12:29 PM

Seriously you do not keep up with the news do you? In what world is Joe the Plumber a business owner, in what world does Joe the Plumber even have a license to Plumb?????

News is an amazing thing, it changes daily, Please try to keep up!

      • Posted By: News and Notes @ 10/28/2008 2:23:08 PM

"Joe the Plumber" has become more of putting a face to a metaphor than an individual person. I am shocked that the actual Joe the Plumber got more of a thorough background screening than most candidates for public office simply becuase he asked a question.

        • Posted By: AskPlus @ 10/28/2008 3:46:41 PM

The "person" is a liar and the metaphor is based on Obama taxing 42k vice 250k - which is a lie fact-checked and mitigated a long time ago. You hold on to this lie for reason unknown to those who actually read the plans. How about McCain Health Care plan? The environment? They are described as unusable and inefficient respectively. You didn't note that in your post. Just saying. Oh. And don't forget McCain foreign policy plan - described as without real "communication".

          • Posted By: News and Notes @ 10/28/2008 5:03:13 PM

I'm not obligated to write a post that suits your talking points. Joe the Plumber is a private citizen and is used as a metaphor. To thoroughly background screen "Joe" is punitive. The metaphor is that Obama wants to increase taxes on the wealthy to pay people who do not pay Federal income tax. You can agree with his policy or not, but that's what it is.
You are no better informed than I am, you merely hold a different opinion. I am a thought provoking democrat who is not completely influenced by the left wing of the party.
The problem is there are plenty of people out there who really ARE poorly informed, and their vote counts as much as yours and mine. Re-direct your venom towards them.

        • Posted By: sjpersonal @ 10/28/2008 4:59:40 PM

I understand that, but I find it strange that when having the opportunity to ask a presidential candidate a question one would totally fabricate a scenario. I do believe that the media went too far in regards to this man's personal life, I have never met him and he is not a public figure, yet I have intimate knowledge of his personal fianancial information.

  • Posted By: Jim F. @ 10/28/2008 4:57:44 PM

    Hey Jonathon Alter,

How about not voting for Obama because:
    1) He was the No.1 (rated by the National Journal) tax and spend, far-left, liberal in the Senate for 2007.

    2) He is the most inexperienced individual to run for President with only a few months of Senate experience before deciding to run for the leader of the free world. Can you say EGOMANIAC?

    3) He has friendships with radical left individuals like Ayers, Wright, Pfleger, which explains his radical left political positions such as wealth redistribution. IT ALSO SHOWS REPEATED BAD JUDGMENT. WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THE OVAL OFFICE?

    4) Obama voted for allowing infanticide if performed in conjuction with a botched abortion. This illustrates quite clearly that Obama is a far-left nut!

    5) Obama received records amount of money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ($40K per year). How can you count on Obama to clean up the Fannie/Freddie mess when his friends like Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson, former CEOs and Obama advisors, got rich on the taxpayers back.

    6) His one monumental foreign policy decision he had to make was wrong: the decision for the surge. OBAMA WANTED TO RETREAT-IN-DEFEAT WHEN THINGS WEREN'T GOING WELL IN IRAQ. This was very bad judgment.

I could go on and on but there are plenty of reasons why McCain should defeat Obama.

A lot is said, mainly being offered to discredit the candidates, with most of it being emotional or exaggerated garbage and even intentionally deceptive. The credibility of the facts offered, being always out of context and without complete information, is totally questionable and actually often meaningless. Each of us has to put our own biases, prejudices and emotions aside to be objective and rational to not allow ourselves to be manipulated by the garbage aimed at us and then make our own decision. When people push their preferred choice by referencing a fact, the ???truth???, an article or website, to be really and equitably informed we should go to the opposing website and find the information to counter, clarify, debunk and / or disprove what is offered. I guarantee another position will be available but that is really an unending process. One thing we can lean on is our own impression of the candidates' character and personality void of the labels, others' opinions and the BS and then decide how we each think they would act if at the helm. It is an easy read and decision for me, which I feel is fully supported by the candidates??? history, but then everyone needs to decide that for themselves.

McCain and Palin want to pin a label on Obama to scare everyone. First off, the labels Marxist, Communist, Socialist and Liberal are all real stretches of their imagination that only reflect McCain???s and Palin???s desperation but more important, what we know for sure has failed and that should really scare us is ???more of the same???. We need to realize McCain and Palin simply don???t offer anything but more of the same. They talk of change but offer nothing specific, only empty rhetoric. What McCain does change is his position frequently. First he brags that he shares Bush???s philosophy and that he voted with Bush 90% of the time and in-between he says that he isn???t Bush, that Bush???s policies failed, that he is different and will provide change from Bush. We have actually seen him change multiple times almost each day as the economic crisis unfolded, always worried about political advantage instead of finding real answers. McCain is really not convincing as he is either unsure and tentative or impulsive and poorly thought out without any real answers and only criticizes Obama who in contrast does confidently present detailed plans. McCain vacillates between his need to convince his ???conservative??? base and trying to manipulate the voters with the most likely result being that he would just provide more of the same; the same Bush-Cheney style failed ???conservative??? policies that he has supported all along. We really can???t take more of the same, whatever you want to call it!

    Jonathon Alter,

It's obvious that Obama and the liberals are counting on the LOW INFORMATION VOTERS and the RACIST VOTERS. What is quite telling about the liberals is the incessant need to pull the most ignorant voters off the street to vote, with great assurance the liberals' class warfare and government giveaway message will have them voting Democrat. The liberals are buying votes with taxpayer money....DISGUSTING!

Obama and the Liberal Democrats count on:
RACIST VOTERS - Racist voters who openly admit that they are voting for Obama, NOT BECAUSE OF HIS CHARACTER, but because of the color of his skin. This is counter to the teachings of MLK. This is white liberal guilt and black racism at its worst.

THE FREE-BEE VOTERS - The entitlement class of voters are voting for Obama because he promised lots of goodies from the public treasury. I'm voting for SANTA CLAUSE OBAMA!!!!

THE LAZY, ENVIOUS VOTERS - The class warfare voters love Obama because he promises to take from the rich even more progressive income taxes and GIVE IT AWAY TO PEOPLE WHO DON'T EVEN PAY INCOME TAXES. I'M VOTING FOR ROBIN HOOD Obama!!!!

THE UNINFORMED, FOOLED VOTERS - And now the PHONY Obama is trying to pose as a fiscal conservative when he was rated as the NUMBER 1 LIBERAL IN THE SENATE by the NATIONAL JOURNAL IN 2007 . For the presidential campaign, he stopped his pork-barrel spending for 2008 when he was averaging $1 million a day in pork-barrel spending before 2008.

ALL OF THE ABOVE DESPICABLE AND UNFORTUNATE CLASSES OF VOTERS ARE TYPICAL TARGETS FOR DEMOCRATS AND FOR OBAMA.

This country CANNOT SURVIVE with an increase in voters like the typical Democrat constituencies describe above.

  • Posted By: neocon @ 10/28/2008 4:08:35 PM

Barack Obama has shown a stunning lack of tolerance for free speech throughout the course of this campaign. His presidency, combined with supermajorities for Democrats in Congress, would almost certainly bring back the so-called 'Fairness Doctrine' and allow the Democrats to snuff out any broadcasters with whom they disagree.

Several situations already have given evidence of that:

??? When Chicago radio station WGN scheduled journalist Stanley Kurtz to talk about Obama's ties to unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, the Obama campaign recruited 100,000 supporters to act in a cult-like manner and besiege the station with protests.

??? When "Joe the Plumber" questioned Obama about his plan to raise taxes on small businesses, Obama supporters sought to destroy Joe and publicly embarrass him by digging through his tax files, work history and personal life.

??? Obama forces also tried to hush a national organization that ran TV and radio ads attacking the candidate's position on an issue. In that instance, Obama's general counsel fired off a letter threatening the licenses of stations that didn't pull the ad "for the sake of FCC licensing and the public interest."

??? After seeing a dip in the polls in September, the Obama campaign dispatched prosecutors and law enforcement officials in Missouri to act as so-called "truth squads" to target anyone who runs ads on TV or radio critical of Obama.

Obama has 63 Nobel Laureates working on his policy team. They are developing a plan to push America back to the top. Who is responsible for McCain's planning? Americans would be shocked to find that Douglas Holtz-Eakin is the sole person responsible for planning McCain's policy for America's future. Holtz-Eakin is also McCain's economic advisor, filling two full time positions on McCain's team. How can one single man (an economist) be responsible for developing a viable technology plan for our future? Obama has an enormous pool of the most intelligent, talented men and women in America working for him. Soon, they will be working for US.

And let's not forget that the McCain campaign spent more on Palin's makeup artist than it did on it's foreign policy advisor. When you pay your makeup artist DOUBLE what you pay your foreign policy advisor, it is time to start examining your priorities.

You look just fine without makeup, John. And Sarah is young enough not to need any. So cut the crap, and start paying some good ECONOMIC ADVISORS so you can have a fiscal plan to present to America. We're in the middle of a huge global financial meltdown, and you are worried about hair and makeup? PLEASE start worrying about the middle class, John. Please.

    • Posted By: pulpman0566 @ 10/27/2008 8:54:38 PM

hahahah - nobel Laureates. That's rich. I admire your sense of humor. Paul Krugman won a Nobel and so did Yasir Arafat. Both idiots. I suppose Paul is on Obama's team and Arafat would be if he were alive. Any person with an IQ over 40 understands this one famous comment "Any government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have". All you've accomplished is admitting that McCain's ONE economic advisor is smarter than Obama's entire team.

          Alvy,

Is that all you have? I mean, really? Are you THAT much of a mental midget? Al Gore won a Nobel Prize for a non-existent phenomenon and you're actually going to sit there and tell me the Nobel Prize hasn't plummeted into absurdity? I'm sure Alfred Nobel (do you know who he is?) is just rolling in his grave.

The majority of Nobel Laureates are comprised of the very liberal pinheads that sit in ivory towers and cooking up some socialist utopia paid for with your money. Their money? hahahaha - it's locked up in irrevocable trusts. Now go google "irrevocable trust" and see if you can manage a response that doesn't reveal you for the retard this blog knows you are.

And if how he's running his campaign is any indication of how he would run the country we will be in trouble if he wins. The whole Palin fiasco is trouble-spot one, followed by his incomplete plans -on all levels - for our future. The President who can score the most insults is not the one we should be choosing.
