Oh really! This is blatantly racist-this is ok? NO! it's not!

I don't need a "cool " president! I need one that will keep America safe, will not tax us to death and then "spread the wealth" (communism 101) and one that sees life at the moment of conception! Not some socialist who will try to make us look like Eurpope , one that will appoint Sureme Justices who will take our Constitutional rights away, and make the WArren court look conservative or one that has friends like Jeremiah Wright, or Ayers who absoultely hate America! You lie down with dogs you come up with fleas.

"We need a cool president. " That is the kind of statement that we get from the news media and entertainers who are always chasing "cool". They favor style over substance. They are more shallow, uninformed and yet, more opinionated than the general population and they think what they say matters. Guess what, I listen to what you say and then I choose NOT to go to your movies, nor do I listen to your broadcasts or subscribe to your magazine anymore. I have had enough of this nonsense..

Have you all forgotten just who Jamie Foxx is? The man is a comedian...PERIOD! He's paid to make people laugh. So for those of you who are taking his comment s on this blog to heart in such a ridiculously serious manner, shame one you. This is absolutely hilarious to me. Have we all gotten so touchy about this election that we fail to see humor when it is placed before our faces? And for that individual who stated, "This almost makes me want to change my vote to McCain", if one statement made by a radio show host who is a comic is enough to sway you from voting for Obama...then you really weren't a TRUE Obama supporter to begin with.

And might I add that as an Obama supporter, I think it is hypocritical and ignorant to imply that every McCain supporter is a racist. How about policy? I agree with Obama's policy & those who do not vote for McCain, it should be that simple. It's not fair to criticize McCain supporters when their might be a few rotten apples in the bunch. I'm sure we'll see "our" left wing wackos rearing their heads as well. Anyway, we repeatedly get away from the point which is to find a way to unite the country, as one. I think that can only be done by bringing the parties together. You cannot represent the country by being fully democratic in your policies, nor can you proclaim inclusion and fairness by being a fully republican society. I am a 26 yr old voter and when watching my elders I feel ashamed of the bickering, a bickering with no solution other than that of children who are fighting for 1 slice of pizza that contains 9 more slices.

When he said "we've got a lot of work to do," I think he meant as a Democrat, not as a black person. What people tend to overlook is that the majority of black people have for some time always supported the Democratic Candidates running for president (which have all been white with the exception of Obama), because the democratic candidates usually look at the advancement of the country in it's entirety, with the inclusion of all races. Let's not discuss Abraham Lincoln, unless you want to get into the real reasons he supported the abolishment of slavery. He may have issued some great talking points but his reasons for ending slavery were economically based, not based on human rights. In order to gain a balanced view of politics & the shaping of this country, you have to research all views from a variety of sources not just the ones you are subject to in school. This country needs to heal, tackle the race issues & realize that all people are created by God.... I wish we could all realize as people that humans matter before race. We all struggle with the same things at the end of the day.

okay first off think of all the rigt wing consertatives who have a show.. Alot of them say any and everything they want even if it offends people.. I'm not saying that its right but lets be honest and real here, and if it takes somebody to make a comment to persuade your vote then that means you wasn't really voting for obama anyway... Its sounds like you are trying to find a reason to not vote for obama.. Yeah we all know the history of the republican party but it was lincoln who made that discision and he died for it as well in his party but look at the republican party now...

I am writing in response to Jamie's comment about Colin Powell. Jamie said "if he wanted to be down with the brothers he would have never been a Republican" I am assumig that Jamie does not know the history of the Republican Party, Linclon's party. The Republican party is the one that ended slavery and supported civil rights. The Democractic Party has the histroy of wanting to destroy blacks. I think Jamie needs to understand the history of the Repbulican party before he makes misguided comments about Colin Powell. If it was not for the Rebulican Party Jamie's ancestery would not have survived and he would not be able to achieve the success he has.

I can't believe that a show exists where blacks can belittle each other, play into the typical black sterotypes, throw down the "N" word as if it is a badge of honor, and speak with words that only set back their cause.

This show is EXACTLY the evidence the white man needs to prove that intelligence is missing from the Obama supporters. I "laugh" everytime I listen to this show because it is so freakin' insulting to blacks. Imagine if someone said "Let's create a show to play upon every sterotype society has against the black man, have one of the biggest names in black entertainment host it, AND let's see if we can convince them that this show IS in their best interest." (Of course the white man would say "There is NO WAY black's would allow such a program." Well, that's EXACTLY what this show is.

Jamie, I'm a big fan of yours, but I don't agree with you on two things. You should NEVER vote for someone just because they look the same as you do. I am a Black woman, and it's a proud moment for many of us in that a Black man will more than likely be running this country. However, I'm voting for him because I agree with his policies, not just because he and I are the same complexion. I know a number of "us" who are voting for him because he's a brother, but they have no idea what he stands for, and that's ridiculous. Because I know if Michael Steele or Alan Keys were running, I sure as hell wouldn't vote for those Uncle Tom "brothas"!
In reference to Colin Powell, the fact that he's decided to endorse Obama is HUGE! I'm sure that he too is proud to see one of his own doing so well in this election, but he gave a thoughtful and objective answer as to why he is choosing to vote for him on "Meet the Press" last Sunday. Even though I'm a Democrat, I respect Colin Powell a great deal and believe that he definitely is down for his people. He is extremely proud to be a Black man, and he's not a sellout just because he's a Republican. That's silly to me. Honestly, we need Blacks on both sides so that they can be fighting for our well being. That's a really ignorant statement to make, Mr. Foxx; it's almost as bad as the white people at the the rallies saying that they won't vote for Obama because he is an Arab/Muslim. You need to do some research, Mr. Foxx, because as I've always said, ignorance is a DISEASE!!

Jamie, I'm a white guy and I would NEVER vote for someone simply because they're white. In fact Condoleezza Rice has been my first choice for President for 8 years now! She's very smart, tons of experience, and not a race bigot. But for you to put down Powell simply because he MIGHT consider a white person for office is simply RACIST.

Nowforthetruth: We have had a massive redistribution of wealth from the poor and middle class to the wealthiest over the last 8 years with the Cheney/Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, the bailout for Wall Street and the war in Iraq.

It is time for a little social justice so I say, go for it.
