What did BO accomplish in the Senate? A reporter asked that question to one of his associates
and did not get an answer. Does anybody out there know something that he accomplished? New
    Bills, progress in any way?

If anyone missed the 30 minute Obama ad, you can still view it at YouTube.

Why would you want to? I if I want to be lied to, I'll find someone else

  • Posted By: lowen @ 10/25/2008 9:46:15 PM

Very interesting. Why would Obama say "America is no longer a Christian nation" if it had not been one previously? And I would politely recommend that you not only read your history, but read your Bible. Our "Founding Fathers" read theirs frequently.

    • Posted By: Donal @ 10/25/2008 10:50:41 PM

Never was a "Christian nation" buddy. Not everyone believes in the same funny little fairy tale as you do, you know.

      • Posted By: kaci @ 10/30/2008 9:28:18 PM

You need to read your history book it was a christian nation unfortunately Obama will be the price we pay not being a christian nation anymore

Mad Dog Palin: The scariest thing about John McCain's running mate isn't how unqualified she is - it's what her candidacy says about America

    http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/23318320/mad_dog_palin

    • Posted By: kaci @ 10/30/2008 9:24:30 PM

I believe this comment would better be stated as What does Obama's nomination say for America. At least she has executive experience. He just has fast talker experience.

  • Posted By: KC07 @ 10/29/2008 4:30:31 PM

I don't seem to see any articles on this website about the latest tape that has surfaced showing Obama at a dinner for Khalidi - the PLO spokesperson who was berating Israel at the dinner attended by Obama and Ayers in 2001? I think it would be of much more interest and so much more important in deciding who has the morals to be the next president. How about posting it? Oh that's right - You're in Obama's pocket too! Cowards!

    • Posted By: kaci @ 10/30/2008 9:23:05 PM

I totally agree American has the right to see that tape. As well as the document where McCain gave him money as part of a group. However, we will not see that tape. The media does not want smart Americans to see it. They know they will realize they have been lied to. They well realize it eventually but it will be too late they will have damaged this country beyond repair.

    • Posted By: brunnhilde @ 10/29/2008 5:09:03 PM

Then again, neither do we see talk about the ties McCain has to Khalidi, like, oh, the fact that he provided several grants to the organization that Prof. Khalidi founded, including one for half a million while he was chairman of the International Republican Institute.

Why don't YOU wake up and realize you're being bamboozled by a truly great con artist!

      • Posted By: CDRDATA @ 10/29/2008 5:24:55 PM

Sorry pal, we are all, every single one of us, is being bamboozled by great con artists.

  • Posted By: GregHere @ 10/29/2008 6:16:35 PM

.......................................The McCain Campaign keeps telling stories about the political polls......they claim the polls are close......yet everyone else shows Obama well ahead in the polls in many States and over the 270 Electoral College number it takes to win..........In English this means that "Maverick" McCain has flunked out in 2008!!!!!

    • Posted By: kaci @ 10/30/2008 9:20:09 PM

The media is so obviously biased towards Obama, how can you claim that republicans are controlling the poll information released.

  • Posted By: obieone @ 10/30/2008 1:02:43 PM

hey concerned canadian, why? Nothing has been proved beyond a reasonable doubt about Brack Obama except that he is well qualified to lead us here in the good USA!

    • Posted By: kaci @ 10/30/2008 9:15:24 PM

I believe the reports that he is not from this country and I read an article recently that he could not be cleared to work for the FBI but he can be president? Somebody really makes sense don't they?

  • Posted By: scot79 @ 10/30/2008 1:14:48 PM

Well I wasted my time reading several of the comments here. It's too bad so many red blooded Americans have the big "R" brand on their butts. You people have been brainwashed not only by the repubs but your parents also.

After they stole the election in 2000 I have lost all confidence and respect that I had for them. I guess the latest dirty trick the repubs are using is sending out flyers that claim the repubs vote on tuesday and dems vote on wednesday. I sure hope and pray people aren't stupid enough to fall for that one. I bet there is an election law that covers that one. Thieves have the habit of stealing and they just can't stop doing it!

    • Posted By: independentron @ 10/30/2008 4:27:50 PM

One Word Reply: ACORN!!! Don't talk to me about someone "stealing" an election. No one can hold a candle to Barack Hussein Obama and his Acorn NUTS.

      • Posted By: Hannah B @ 10/30/2008 6:24:01 PM

Leave it to you wingnuts, I just get such a chuckle out of you! You just don't get it. Voter registration fraud is quite different from voter fraud ... Acorn, BY LAW had to turn in ALL completed forms. They put them into 3 stacks; "Verified," "Unverified" and "Suspicious," If the Mickey Mouse actually shows up to vote that is then voter fraud. Since it is highly unlikely that Mickey will show up at the poll it is not a crime. I know you wingnuts have a need to whine and complain but this point has been discussed ad nauseum but you STILL keep complaining.
What is a REAL crime is the voter suppression practices that wingnuts have been perfecting for election after election. It's not only illegal, but it is reprehensible and yes. unAmerican!
Speaking about whining, John McCain has been doing more than his fair share of it. First it was whining about the fact that Obama wouldn't play with him at 10 town halls. Then he whined about his ability to inspire all of us citizens to contribute to his campaign so wingnuts couldn't Swift Boat him. Then he whined about being outspent and he whined about being compared to GWB. Then he whined about that 30-minute ad last night. I WILL vote for McCain to be "whiner and chief" since that's predominantly what he has been campaigning for.

        • Posted By: kaci @ 10/30/2008 9:14:01 PM

This point is your evidently cannot learn from factual information. Just because it has been discussed and explained away, obviously does not mean that you and others like you are paying the truth some attention. You are so set on being right, how will you feel when it is really obvious that you bought into a lie and someone paid with their life. Maybe someone's child.

      • Posted By: Mzalendo @ 10/30/2008 6:13:15 PM

It would be a shame to have Mickey Mouse actually vote. Please note the difference with people scamming ACORN (which reported the fraud) versus out and out stealing votes which Repubs are doing their best to do:
        purge voter rolls CHECK
        screw up touchscreen machines, CHECK
        intimidate and misinform voters, CHECK
Ahhh, democracy Republican style and you're scared by Mickey Mouse.

    • Posted By: asheepdog @ 10/30/2008 5:39:49 PM

And you just made up your own mind with no other influence? Must be great to be so much better than the rest of us, but then you Dems are like that. Your way or you throw tantrums.

    • Posted By: okay- @ 10/30/2008 9:08:20 PM

I wish I could say you are, but alas it is his own money. The irony is killing me about Palin. As for the next 4 years, it can't be any worse. Just admit that you are a racist now so we can come back and tell you "I told you so" when this country is back on track. That can be your only reason for not voting for Obama, since the choice of McCain/Palin is pure suicide!

  • Posted By: pgadia @ 10/29/2008 4:50:37 AM

Wake-up liberal democrats... your votes will makes your life even harder if Mr. Obama's financial cause succeeds... First, stop dreaming for prince charming to your rescue. Second, spending 280 million for his election campaign is not a good example for championing the cause for the poor. Third, those billionares, millionares, & wealthy media & hollywood executives who supported much of his campaign are finding his true mind set of his inner conviction as a man... spend money that are not his. Four, we live in a country that is rewarded by our own labor, gifts and skills not for a hand-out, because hand-out is ussually left-over and trash. We need reform by a true change maker in the goverment who Mr. Mccain has well stablished credential and not a dream. pgadia

    • Posted By: okay- @ 10/30/2008 8:48:18 PM

Pgadia, I think you have been brainwashed also as Mr. McCain has not done one thing in all his years as a Senator. Nothing on his own that is, not one iota of legislation in his name only. Nothing that he has not jumped aboard the coat tails of others to get there. He claims he is a maverick, more of a hothead elitist who looks down on people. One who believes that he is all deserving for being a POW, just so you know there are a lot of other POW's besides him. He married money and lives off the Govt tit, if he was so dedicated to the whole POW issue he could give his Govt paycheck to a organization for POW's that are not doing as well as him. He doesn't need the money, his wife has more than she and him could possibly spend. 7 houses? He has done nothing worthy in all his years, nothing he can step back and say was his alone. The money for the campaign is for the canidate's, how they choose to spend it is the responsibility of the party, who ever gets more donations must be doing something right.

    • Posted By: okay- @ 10/30/2008 8:37:43 PM

pgadia, I can't see how it will get any worse for the people that have had their homes foreclosed. I own a small business and have been doing enough to make my life comfortable. I only see better things in my future with Obama's ideas. If it doesn't work, I can vote for the next canidate, and it will not be Palin for your information. Do not preach to people until you know the facts, as nobody has the whole picture yet. If it is going to get worse, I have the ability to survive and provide for my family no matter what. Do you? I mean living without power and groceries at the store type of survival by the way.

  • Posted By: okay- @ 10/30/2008 8:28:57 PM

Where is the proof that Obama's campaign donations are illegal? Why turn his supporters hard earned donations into another unproven sour grapes lie. You reap what you sow! Obama by a landslide on Tuesday. Any who cannot accept the reality of what is going to happen only cheapen it with their ignorance. I wanted McCain in 2000 over Bush, but now see that I would have only gotten the same thing. What a shame...

  • Posted By: MominLatteland @ 10/29/2008 10:18:04 AM

With nearly EVERY story about Gov. Palin tracking negative, she was d**ned if she did and d**ned if she didn't. In other words, had she used her own wardrobe the news media would have been all over her, painting her as a country bumpkin from Alaska. Either way she was toast.

Perhaps the media should spend more time wondering how Obama is getting away with accepting illegal campaign donations and the fact that he went back on his agreement with McCain to not accept private donations.

    • Posted By: okay- @ 10/30/2008 8:23:35 PM

What proof is there that the donations are illegal? Why make an accusation without proof or fact. Many hard working people have contributed to something they believe in and you want to make it wrong because your canidate is not doing as well across the board. Sour grapes anyone?

  • Posted By: Juneau @ 10/30/2008 7:11:55 PM

How frugal she is!! Hooey, she put in a tanning bed in the Governor's Mansion in Juneau, while she stays at home in Wasilla collecting per diem checks for sleeping in her own bed!!

  • Posted By: DaveWK @ 10/30/2008 6:34:52 PM

No wonder Palin felt it necessary to bill the state of Alaska for her children's personal travel, and then try to cover it up by altering her documentation of expenses (who know, as alleged in the complaint the State served her with yesterday). She has expensive tastes! Perhaps she should take the advice she gave Senator Stevens, based on the same sort of misconduct, and resign her candidacy and her governorship, to devote herself to her true passion--shopping! It might help McCain's chances--he's tried about everything else.

IQ Testing!? Too funny! Thanks for the afternoon laugh!!

  • Posted By: urthsong @ 10/29/2008 12:15:32 PM

It was the news media followed by Republicans who made such a stink about the expensive clothes. I didn't hear diddly from the Obama campaign. They're too busy talking about what Obama's plans are and continually refuting the way the McCain/Palin campaign and slavish followers repeat the propaganda and gossip. As a woman, I can tell you that Sarah Palin and her family could have dressed quite well for far less by shopping at stores for professionals, instead of those for the very rich. Since when does Piper need a designer tote bag that costs $650? That may be the problem with the campaign. These people are disconnected from the real world.

    • Posted By: obieone @ 10/30/2008 3:05:34 PM

I agree with you completely, if Palin had any guts or selfesteem she would of refused buying new clothes and ask why her own wardrobe wasn't good enought but she is taking this ride for all it's worth as is Joe the Plummer. Good old Joe, they now want him to sign a book deal, about what? How to do your own plumming, I am sure we have enought books covering that subject. Joe and Palin have told a few stories (lies) and I only hope only a few people who are dumb enough - believe them.
