Now there is proof. In the exchange with "Joe the plumber" Obama let it slip that he really is as radical as his early political mentors, Davis, Ayers, Wright, etc., and that he is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Now, an interview with Obama in 2001, mysteriously overlooked all this time by the main media outlets, proves this fact. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck

Obama's redistribution and restitution plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.
See Wall Street Journal: A Liberal Supermajority:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122420205889842989.html

Indeed, some democrats are publically saying as much. See Barney Franks comments on the news, including face the nation last week, stating essentially that Democrats in Congress intend to greatly raise taxes and go on a spending spree.

Thank God for the ROLE MODEL OF SARAH PALIN 2008 to finally teach us that pretty on the outside sometimes leads to ugly on the inside. Keep dressing that women up in all the sparkly clothes and makeup 5th Avenue has to sell you. Americans will learn from this example.

All that glitters is not gold. Short term gain functions toward long term loss. You can't judge a book by its cover. Insert your own clique here.

Because that's what their pretty little Sarah has become to most intelligent women and educated people: a cliche. A worn out metaphor for window dressing.

    • Posted By: oregano @ 10/26/2008 6:49:02 PM

Actually, Obama all ready taught us that

      • Posted By: melbee1971 @ 10/27/2008 7:46:51 PM

It's "already" Oregano. Report to remedial English class immediately. Your writing skills reflect your lack of depth or knowledge. You write at a fourth grade level. I'm a high school teacher and I can tell you really lack the ability to complete full sentences. You and Sarah should be PALIN around together! Hee Hee.

    • Posted By: oregano @ 10/26/2008 6:54:27 PM

Yeah, lets not address the MULTI-MILLIONS that Obama and the DNC have spent on their strategies - plus they are shamelessy and sometimes illegally taking contrubutions from constituents that are not well-off people while the Obamas made over 4 mill last year (reportedly)

      • Posted By: melbee1971 @ 10/26/2008 7:05:38 PM

The majority of the money raised by Obama are by individual donors, you know that Oregano. Quit polluting this discussion with your hyperbole. Now go look up that word, hyperbole. Sensationalizing language to pollute and distort, anyone? I think we've had enough of that.

Yawn. You can say that again.

        • Posted By: oregano @ 10/26/2008 7:55:26 PM

Sensationalizing and Distorting. You and your leftist friends have the monopoly on that along with a myriad of other Amoral, Immoral activities and quit projecting! Your leftist friends commit crimes repeatedly but get irate about the RNC spending alot of money at Neiman Marcus. You are a bunch of HYPOCRITES!

          • Posted By: melbee1971 @ 10/27/2008 8:04:30 AM

Oregano, let me talk you down off the roof, here. Your nasty comments to everyone who disagrees with you on this post really say a lot more about you than the people you are trying to insult. America depends on a diversity of opinions. So that means that people don't always agree and that's a good thing. That leads to learning and growth.

We only act like children when we lash out at people we don't like or understand. Settle down, drink some tea. I've counted over ten nasty comments toward people that you disagree with. Your viceral toward Obama shows a lot of pent up anger and irrational thinking. It's clear you never learned to play nice. Were you one of those kids that spent the majority of your schooling in the time out room because you couldn't figure out how to use nice hands and nice words? I hope you get the mental health help you need.

        • Posted By: oregano @ 10/26/2008 7:50:23 PM

Yeah, that is what is sad about this. The Obama's made millions last year while taking money from Americans that are not well off -- some of those donations made in mulitple installments so as to avoid reporting to IRS. That's ILLEGAL, not HYPERBOLE. GET A DICTIONARY!!

          • Posted By: JackDrewA @ 10/27/2008 2:38:06 AM

Obama ACCEPTED donations, he didn't TAKE them. The fact that he made millions (mostly from his books) is something a good capitalist like you should appreciate.

Now, about your allegations that his donors worked to get around reporting their donations in an illegal manner, if you can prove it, go for it.

One small problem you might have - proving that Obama's campaign knew about these tactics.

is it so difficulty for sen. mccain to understand that supporting the growth of a $10 trillion US debt, favoring the wealthy, ignoring the small business person, and thumbing your nose at the 'little guy' is not what the american people want or need? compassion, pride in who you are and confidence in what you can do will inspire the american public, not deceit, shameful insult of a fellow candidate, baseless accusations and hate mongering that the mccain-pailin ticket so gleefully offer us

  • Posted By: RenCarolipio @ 10/27/2008 5:54:25 PM

Palin claimed that she is frugal when buying clothes. That is believable, but I also believe that she doesn't have any problem going on a $150k shopping spree spending someone else's money.

Palin's problem is this. She says she's a hockey mom yet the clothes she's wearing now can be afforded only by the rich. She could have gone to macy's or bloomingdales and spend no more than $1k on an attire, and still look good. She doesn't have to wear expensive clothes, they just have to be presentable. She's already got the looks and the body anyway. Sigh.. sheer repugs hypocristy

  • Posted By: paulte @ 10/27/2008 1:06:45 PM

The money for clothing is just window dressing! Why is it that every little negative about McCain-Palin is shouted from the rooftops while any Obama negatives like his ties to terrorists and racist ministers is met by outrage by the media?

The media is in a frenzy to help Obama get elected. The liberal media is doctoring polls to make it look like Obama will rout McCain. When this is all over and McCain wins because of the bradley effect, the first order of business for the new Republican administration hamstrung by a Dem Congress is to order an investigation into the deceptive polling by the liberal media.

Obama has no qualifications to be President. And he is not really particularly bright. That was evident in the debates. He doesn't really understand economics. Wake up America and reject this empty suit!

    • Posted By: mrthing @ 10/27/2008 4:57:09 PM

I doubt anyone cares how much Ms. Palin spent on clothes when she was 8. That was the last time the infamous Mr. Ayers did anything like "terrorism". When Obama was 8 years old. He has since won a citizenship award in Chicago and is a respected, tenured college professor. The pubs are running a dirt-slinging campaign because they don't have any success to run on, and are digging up "reasons" for voters to vote against the scary black guy. Just admit you're all a bunch of bigots and stop trying to convince the sane people that this man is dangerous. We know better.

HA HA HA HA HA. This proves the Republican part is brain dead! Spread the wealth? give me a break! Let them eat cake is more like it. And her only defense is "They are not my clothes" So if they clothes are given to charity after the campaign that means they were free in the first place right? For Palin History repeats itself. Look at her Alaskan expense reports.

Instead of addressing the issue, apologists say it is not important. If a person is being portrayed, perhaps rightly, that the candidate is a kind of everywoman, then her expenditures should back it up, even if the expenditure does not come from her own funds.

    • Posted By: RO in Reno @ 10/27/2008 2:10:05 PM

Hope you don't mean that she should spend in three days for clothes what the average guy makes in three years and that makes her some kind of "everywoman"

This liberal Democrat doesn't care what was spent on the Palin's wardrobe. Isn't it the Pub's who are complaining?

But it is ironic that Pubs are posting rants about "redistribution of wealth" on this article. Isn't this a pub version of redistribution from wealthy donors to the have-not VP candidate????? Ah, where is the outrage?

  • Posted By: Bacalove @ 10/27/2008 8:08:45 AM

Republicans always make a word or phrase that is good and right, a dirty word, example liberal. Redistribution of wealth or spreading the wealth, epitimizes the principals of sharing and fairness -- it means that everyone gets to share in the pie, everyone has opportunity, not just the special few! I belive that the McWizards of Oz are finally being exposed! AND

If the American public is truly concerned about the Voting Problems in America, then they should vote Dems all the way down the chain, because Republicans have fillibustered or stoped any kind of legislation to reform our voting system from fraud and hacking time and time again. We need a voting system we can believe in. This you will see reformed with a Dem President and legislation, along with enacting badly needed regulatory rules on our economic systems. Enough is Enough!

    • Posted By: doneresearch @ 10/27/2008 8:38:26 AM

What??!! I work hard, break my back working overtime, a second job, to get ahead in life, and YOU tell me I need to "share my wealth"!! Sharing with those less fortunate is a noble deed, but it should be allowed to come from the heart. How is it "fair" to take from the hard worker and give to someone with far less ambition? What about "pull yourself up by your own bootstraps", not to take what doesn't belong to you? When did doing the right thing become a cry of "it's my right/ I'm entitled..."

      • Posted By: RO in Reno @ 10/27/2008 1:56:28 PM

Good Lord doneresearch, you need to do some research, First of all if all this spread the wealth talk was valid you would be getting some of the wealth not giving it. But it's not some Robin Hood scheme to take from the rich and give to the poor as you imply, but as you stated you are not rich anyway so your post makes no sense.
It is a movement to let the wealthy once again pay the tax's needed to provide the services we all expect from government rather than people in the middle and lower income brackets.
The Republicans have given the tax breaks to the wealthy, and even though you may think you got a tax break if you make say $40,000 your Bush tax break was ZERO got that? ZERO.
Obama is going to turn that around, Get it?

      • Posted By: dsqard @ 10/27/2008 10:50:30 AM

So called "sharing the wealth" pays for schools, roads, all of the military expenditures to include the salaries of the men and women in the military, sewerage systems, airports, bridges (even the ones to no where) etc. That is what your taxes are used for. Before you attack me though, you should know that I too work a full time job, pay all my taxes on time, only get to deduct my children and my mortgage interest on my taxes, pay for my children's college costs and served in the military for ten years. No one particularly likes to pay taxes but if we want all of the good things that the taxes buy, we have to pay them. That is not "socialism".

"Ohio officials are investigating whether government computer systems were illegally accessed to acquire personal information about "Joe the Plumber," The Columbus Dispatch reports.

Public records requested by The Dispatch reveal information on Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher's driver's license or his sport-utility vehicle was pulled from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles database.

Information on Wurzelbacher was obtained on Oct. 17 through an account used by the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency in Cleveland, The Dispatch reported records as showing.
Access to such information from BMV computers is restricted to legitimate law enforcement and government business.

The Dispatch reported that information on Wurzelbacher was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers, the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department."

The L I E S and crimes of the L I B E R A L and DNC machine are endless but they fly into the rage about the RNC spending alot of money to clothe Palin and her family - HYPOCRISY at it's most V I LE state

    • Posted By: Nins @ 10/25/2008 11:19:56 PM

With it now being public knowledge that "Joe the Plumber" had his driver's license suspended in another state, probably the Ohio DMV accessed Joe's files for legitimate reasons, to check if he had any violations.

Just because the Ohio DMV accessed his files doesn't mean that they are the source of the information that was shared with the media. From what I read, Joe has left a trail of broken relationships. Maybe a bitter ex has spilled the beans about him.

  • Posted By: lisarae38 @ 10/25/2008 9:58:56 PM

150,000.00 $ is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on clothes, make-up, and accessories. This hypocrite has brought all this judgement on herself. She is the one running around babbeling about how frugal she is. She is the one babbeling about reform and waste in Washington. She is the one comparing herself to Middle Class Americans all day. 150,000.00 $ is 3-4 times what Middle Class America supports their entire family on for an entire year. She claims she is going to "donate" her new look to charity after she looses the election. What sort of charity needs this sort of waste? Is her daughter gonna "donate" that Lous Vuitton bag? I doubt it! What a disgrace.

    • Posted By: oregano @ 10/26/2008 7:09:34 PM

      Don't project your own HYPOCRISY

      • Posted By: cheapsis @ 10/27/2008 3:59:07 AM

Why would she need to project hypocrisy? Take a look. It's right there. And isn't that Louis Vuitton bag we're talking about a FAKE? Counterfeit goods? Donating it can't wash away all sins.

        • Posted By: Yuseff @ 10/27/2008 1:13:06 PM

I sincerely doubt that she bought a fake Louis Vuitton from Neiman Marcus.

I am surprised McCain has not tried to reuse the Checkers Speech and talk about Palin's Republican cloth coat"! Once again, we are treated to the Republican view of the world, and of who their real constituency is!

  • Posted By: melbee1971 @ 10/26/2008 9:56:34 AM

Clothes, hair, and makeup for Palin's image making: $170,000+ to date. Well, let me tell you why, as a registered Republican, this infuriates me. As a teacher, I make 1/7th of this amount in an entire year. And every year, more teachers are cut in our district, a trend growing across this country. Can you say wasteful spending? Can we connect the dots of the hypocrisy this "hair and makeup" represents?

The Republican Party has completely lost me. A party once committed to fiscal prudence, conservativism, conservation, and keeping government off of our back has become the party that has supported excessive spending (going deeper in to debt, of course, because raising taxes to actually pay for the enormous pricetags is "anti-American").

And the idea of separation of church and state is gone for these so called "conservatives" bullying their agenda onto the platform. Sarah Palin and her lack of depth or knowledge on major issues and her ability to form a coherent sentence symbolizes everything that has went wrong with a party I once believed in. It seems to be okay to not know what the hell your tallking about, as long as you look fantastic doing it.

    • Posted By: Yuseff @ 10/27/2008 12:56:22 PM

This is true. Hiliary used to to recycle her pants suits every week or so. The press corp that followed Hiliary used to run a sort of office pool to predict which suit she would wear on a given day. That was because Hiliary had a sensible wardrobe budget and didnt change outfits three times a day every day without wearing the same outfit twice.

    • Posted By: balzac1 @ 10/26/2008 3:43:23 PM

Unfortunatly, we live in a society that is built on appearance. She was damned if she did and damned if she didn't. Keep in mind, Obama has spent more on his campaign than anyone in history. This is a drop in the bucket compared to the expenses for his campaign. To be honest, I think the media should be ashamed. They have continued to report on Palin's clothing expense but down played Obama's liberal spending but then again he is a Democrat so I guess that's ok:)

      • Posted By: ProudWomanProfessional @ 10/26/2008 5:51:16 PM

When you (of your own free will) decide to DONATE money to a political party you do so with the expectation it will be used for normal election expenses such as advertising, mailers, broadcast ads, event costs such as security, stage and microphone, lighting costs, food for those involved and on and on. These are traditional and NORMAL expenses. Anyone who chooses to donate to either party expects the money to be used for such expenses.

When a campaign spends money in a state as above, the money spent goes directly into the local economy. It spends money locally at TV and radio stations, printing shops, event planning, local security (O/T paid to local police) and on and on. It's a GOOD thing to have this money spent locally. No one loses, whatever the side.

When a person DONATES money to a campaign, there is an expectation that the money will be spent wisely. If a candidate takes a VERY PUBLIC and calculated stand to package one candidate (Palin) from the very beginning as a 'normal American, hockey mom' then turns the tables and points to the other candidate (Obama) as 'elitest' it's HYPOCRITICAL. The party then does something as moronic and certainly unethical as to spend $150,000 in stores that 99% of the AVERAGE public have never set foot in such as Neiman Marcus and Saks.

That's why it matters. Pointing fingers to Obama's campaign for taking in DONATIONS and spending them according to the guidelines that have been laid out for campaign spending is not apple=apples.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Bravo, Professional Woman. As a woman and a teacher, I notice your intelligence and ability to complete clear, coherent sentences resulting in better human understanding. Thank you. Thanks for showcasing smart American women.

The world is watching us. Sarah Palin is an embarrassing woman propped up by the cynical side of the GOP (ironically on some guy's credit card). So many better choices available. Oh well, ultimately it says a lot about McCain and his bygone era. He lost my vote with this stupid woman of a choice. Insulting, really.

  • Posted By: nmbrldy69 @ 10/27/2008 12:31:52 PM

It's ironic that McCain was part of a law tightening campaign spending on personal clothing, and his Presidential campaign is now facing the same issue. If he authored the law, and is ignorant of how it works, could this be senility setting in? As an Anchorage newspaper put it - does Palin deserve to be "one 72-year old heartbeat away" from the most important job in the country? With missteps like these, she needs to go back to just being "mom". They're going to need that, especially with a pregnant teenage daughter and Down Syndrome child. Again, Sarah, it's priorities.

I marvel at Newsweek every time I look at the left-lopsided articles here and in their magazine. They examine every flaw they can find in McCain and Palin, but they would go out of business before they would print anything that could actually hurt Obama and Biden.

It's no wonder their subscriptions are down by 30 percent. Ask them if they care.
