Moulitsas is the publisher of DailyKos.com, a progressive Web site that generally supports Democratic candidates. (Newsweek description of Markos)

That is hilarious! Should have been... "Publisher of DailyKos.com, an extremely liberal Web site that has a hatred for any Republican only equalled by Satan himself."

You've talked to Satan lately? you are special...

You say you want a revolution, well you know we'd all like to see the plan.
And oh, by the way, if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao, you ain't going to make it with anyone any how.
McCain Palin will win out in the end. What though the odds be great or small, those committed to what is good true and beautiful will win out in the end. Onward to Victory.

Yawn... when you wake up after the election day you will indeed see that the good and beautiful has won... thanks.

Do we really need commentary from someone who is from the intellectually dishonest fringe. Kos brings as much intelligent argument to the conversation as David Duke brings to race relations. Obama may deservedly win this election but can this magazine at least try to give the impression of impartiality.

We should only listen to You, Super "intellectual" honest ONE... ROFL

And oh by the way, if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao, you ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow. McCain Palin will win. Don't you know its going to be all right.
Onward to Victory on the strength of those who still know what is good true and beautiful.

You know..I wonder if a lot of this talk about Americans wanting a revolution isn't a misreading of the country's sentiments by a main stream media that is fairly addicted to creating controversy.

The word "revolution" is so exciting..so provocative..so..devisive. I mean if you like America..and you think of yourself as at all traditional..doesn't revolution sounds like some mysterious "them" destroying the things we value.

I think most Americans like most American traditions, they make us feel connected, they make us feel..American.

But many Americans want to see America changing and growing to keep up with the times, because the world has changed over the decades, technology has changed...and we want an America that is back on top, an America that leads not trails hopelessly behind

But Americans don't want a revolution..what we want are fairly big changes...but what we want is EVOLUTION not REVOLUTION.

There are so many factors that go into all of this, believe it or not Obama is just the most visible one.

#1 The ideological trend for the "average voter"..ie..the 40 to 60 crowd is changing toward a more liberal viewpoint in general. 10 years ago this group, especially the 50-60 half of it (who are now 60-70), were much more conservative than the same age group is now. And the younger half, 40-50 was more liberal and are now the older group (50-60).
Meanwhile the younger half of that average voter group (now 40-50) are the children of the oldest group, and are more liberal still.

#2 George W. Bush wasn't just a dumbass...he was an obvious, arrogant dumbass, ably assisted by a complete jerk of a vice-president who was even more blatantly horrible and corrupt. Not so great for the Republican brand when the people YOU chose to lead you turn out to be gormless twits, and robber barons.

#3 John McCain's campaign has been so transparently stupid, and shallow. Emphasis on transparently. Not once until a week ago has John McCain really set out to give us a reason to vote FOR HIM. He has spent the entire time in a lame attempt to give us reasons to vote AGAINST Obama. Which really is insanely stupid and impossibly arrogant. Because the entire idea had to be premised with...Oh, of course McCain's good enough to be president..I mean he's old and white, right?! It also turned many swing voters against McCain. Who wants to vote for a jerk or a bully?

#3 The economic crisis is a typically democratic strong suit and the current crisis is making many Americans re-think not only what the government has done via de-regulation etc, but also re-think how our economy works, and what it's based on. I mean,,if we have no decent jobs...who the hell cares what else is going on. Bad for the Republicans and their continuous chant about free-markets being infallible and not needing government interference, and even worse..they Republican talking point about lowering business taxes helping top create more jobs has been entirely disproven for two reasons..
    a) If it creates more jobs...those jobs are created in India or taiwan not in America.
b.) It simply has not worked..Republicans have been slashing business taxes since Reagan...and we're all doing so terribly well aren't we. The businesses pocket the profits and technology replaces new workers. The more tax breaks, the better technology the company can afford and thence it needs..less workers, not more.

Hey, Palin shops at Nieman Marcus while McCain supports the wealthiest 5% of Americans. That's the most consistent message the Republicans have had throughout the entire presidential campaign!

I hope John King's map turns all "K-Mart BLUE light special" on election night! LOL Go OBAMA!

The early voting in Nevada has been running 2 to 1 of registered Democrats over Republicans. Voters are turning out in droves, with applause erupting each time a new registrant votes for his or her first time.

All of the early voting locations have long lines of anxious voters waiting to vote. There are lots of young and senior voters in these lines.

Local News estimates are that more than 30% of the vote will occur in Nevada before election day.

I have lived in Nevada for 12 years and I have never seen such a large voter turn out. The McCain/Palin disinformation - smear /play victim / Joe the Plumber campaign appears to have greatly increased the Democratic turn out for the election.

It's time for the Republicans to start clearing out of their Washington DC offices before they are thrown out into the street.

.....................................We will just have to wait until November 4th....Sometime after 11 PM EST to see what happens. I think that America has learned plenty from watching the Bush Administration on TV where they blundered constantly and told us twisted fabrications about so many important matters..................I have faith in America that they will not want the Bush-McCain philosophy to continue to govern us for another 4 years!!!!

Markos, are you trying to turn people against government BY the people? There are plenty of excellent ballot initiatives too:http://tinyurl.com/6nm47f

Ballot initiatives are the origin of most reforms, such as women's suffrage (passed in 13 states before Congress went along), direct election of Senators (4 states), publicly financed elections (passed by initiative in 6 of 7 states with them), medical marijuana ( in 8 of 12 states) and increasing minimum wages (in all 6 states that tried in 2006). See http://Vote.org/initiatives for more examples and references. The media have seized on the problem initiatives. They generally kiss up to politicians.

"A former Newsweek reporter admitted in an article this week that he has no objectivity and imagined disabling Rudy Giuliani so he wouldn't run in the presidential primary race last year.
Michael Hastings wrote in GQ magazine that he had a "recurring fantasy" that he could somehow stop the former New York City mayor in his tracks.
"I quickly realized Rudy was a maniac. I had a recurring fantasy in which I took him out during a press conference (it was nonlethal, just something that put him out of commission for a year or so), saving America from the horror of a President Giuliani. If that sounds like I had some trouble being 'objective,' I did. Objectivity is a fallacy," he said."
