    How to bring down a democracy: the steps toward totalitarian rule, in the order followed by Hitler and the Nazi Party SEE IF THEY SOUND FAMILIAR.

    1. Improvise an attack (or take advantage of an attack) on the country
    2. Declare the country under attack by an enemy; real or improvised
    3. Force legislation that limits civil liberties and gathers broad powers unto government
    4. Brand dissenters and peacemakers as unpatriotic and browbeat them into submission
    5. Keep the fear factor high to make the public easier to manage
    6. Institute massive propaganda campaigns using state-controlled no-longer-free media and fear of government retribution
    7. Law enforcement and government personnel are used to spy on, control and break dissent 7. Institute the equivalent of a national homeland security department, overseen by one person with unlimited powers
    8. Confiscate all firearms from the citizenry
    9. Institute the mass murder and imprisonment of any who resist the new ideology.
    10. Launch pre-emptive strikes into other countries in an attempt to spread the new ideology

    Sound familiar? It should, its not only the direct path of Hitlers rise to power, but also parallels the events starting with and following 9/11. President Bush was very familiar with the game plan, as his Grandfather and his Grandfathers father-in-law were supporters of Hitler and Nazism, both before and after the war.

    Of course, theyve skipped a couple of the items on the list, but theyll get to them if theyre allowed to remain in power, because it will be the only way for them to retain power.

    Speaking of ties to corruption, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports, "A fired staffer for an affiliate of" ACORN "testified Wednesday the organization was provided a 'donor list' from" Obama's campaign "in late 2007 for fundraising efforts. Anita Moncrief, a former Washington staffer for Project Vote, which she described as a sister organization of...ACORN, said her supervisor told her the list of campaign contributors came from the Obama campaign." The Philadelphia Inquirer adds Moncrief "gave a scathing, though at times vague, assessment of ACORN and its efforts to go into battleground states and help mostly minorities and the poor register to vote for the first time. The group, she said, barely trained its workers in how to register voters properly, and would fire employees if they did not meet a quota of 20 new voter applicants daily

    Obama in this video is campaigning at a convention of Acorn and I believe two other Community Activist's organizations less than a year ago, in December 2007. Ask if he will be their ally if he becomes President and pledge to meet with leaders of Acorn and the others in his first year, Obama, who we are told has no contact to Acorn (another lie), not withstanding the $800,000 his campaign paid an Acorn group during the primaries, says, quote:

    According to campaign finance records, a joint committee of the McCain-Palin campaign, the RNC and the the California Republican Party, made a $175,000 payment to the group Lincoln Strategy in June for purposes of "registering voters." The managing partner of that firm is Nathan Sproul, a renowned GOP operative who has been investigated on multiple occasions for suppressing Democratic voter turnout, throwing away registration forms and even spearheading efforts to get Ralph Nader on ballots to hinder the Democratic ticket.

    In a letter to the Justice Department last October, House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers said that that Sproul's alleged activities "clearly suppress votes and violate the law."

    That Sproul would come under the employment umbrella of the McCain campaign -- the Republican National Committee has also separately paid Lincoln Strategy at least $37,000 for voter registration efforts this cycle -- is not terribly surprising. Sproul, who has donated nearly $30,000 to McCain's campaign, has been in the good graces of GOP officials for the past decade despite charges of ethical and potentially legal wrongdoing.

    But his involvement with the Republican Party's voter registration efforts has the potential to create a political and public relations headache at a time when McCain can ill-afford one. For weeks the Arizona Republican and his allies have been seeking to tie Barack Obama to the community organization ACORN, which they have accused of potentially committing massive voter registration fraud. Sproul's contract with the GOP ticket -- in addition to news of Republican officials attempting to suppress Democratic turnout in California -- raises, for some, questions about McCain's own efforts.

    "It should certainly take away from McCain's argument," said Bob Grossfeld, a progressive political consultant based in Arizona who has followed Sproul's career. "Without knowing anything of what is going on with ACORN, there is a clear history with Mr. Sproul either going over the line or sure as hell kicking dirt on it, and doing it for profit and usually fairly substantive profit."

    As Republican Congressman Chris Cannon summarized during a joint hearing for the subcommittee on commercial and administrative law back in May 2008: "The difference between ACORN and Sproul is that ACORN doesn't throw away or change registration documents after they have been filled out."

    Indeed, Sproul's history is filled with allegations of political misdeeds. During the 2004 election, Sproul & Associates (the former name of Lincoln Strategy) was accused of attempting to destroy forms collected by Democratic voters in Nevada. That same year in Oregon, Sproul & Associates allegedly instructed canvassers to only accept Republican registration forms in addition to destroying those turned in by Democrats.

    TEN MAJOR REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR OBAMA:

    1. Barack Obamas foreign policy is DANGEROUS, NAÏVE, AND BETRAYS A PROFOUND MISREADING OF HISTORY. Washington Post reported: European officials are increasingly concerned that Sen. Barack Obamas campaign pledge to begin direct talks with Iran on its nuclear program without preconditions could potentially rupture U.S. relations with key European allies early in a potential Obama administration. Barack Obamas stance toward Iran is as troubling as it is dangerous.

    2. Barack Obamas Iraq policy will hand al-Qaeda a victory and undercut our entire position in the Middle East, while at the same time put a huge source of oil in the hands of terrorists.

    Obamas post-invasion analysis of Iraq is anything but credible or consistent, leading one to even GREATER DOUBT ABOUT HIS STRATEGY AS COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF. When President Bush announced the SURGE strategy in January 2007, Barack Obama OPPOSED IT, saying it would not prove to be one that changes the dynamics significantly, and that the Presidents strategy will not work. Of course, the SURGE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST ACHIEVEMENTS IN IRAQ SINCE THE INITIAL MONTHS OF THE INVASION, and is has reversed much of the loss suffered since the invasion. Beyond these miscalculations and poor judgment on Iraq strategy, Obama has been anything but consistent on Iraq.

    3. Barack Obama has sent MIXED, CONFUSING, and INCONSISTENT MESSAGES on his POLICY TOWARD ISRAEL. Barack Obama told an audience at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee: Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided. The NEXT DAY, Obama backtracked, stating: Obviously, it is [Jerusalem] going to be up to the parties to negotiate a range of these issues . . . and Jerusalem will be part of the negotiations. Which is it, Obama?

    4. While his Mideast policy may have been the QUICKEST TURNAROUND or flip-flop on a MAJOR ISSUE, it is not the only one. In the primary campaign, Barack Obama consistently campaigned AGAINST NAFTA, but has since CHANGED HIS TUNE, as he HAS WITH OTHER ISSUES. During the primary, Obama sent out a campaign flier that said: Only Barack Obama consistently opposed NAFTA, and called it: a BAD TRADE DEAL. He also said NAFTA was devastating, a big mistake; and in what the Washington Post labeled as a unilateral threat to withdraw from NAFTA, Obama said: I think we should use the hammer of a potential opt-out as leverage.

    NO LONGER. Barack Obama backtracked on NAFTA and said, I am NOT A BIG BELIEVER IN DOING THINGS UNILATERALLY. I AM A BIG BELIEVER IN OPENING UP A DIALOGUE AND FIGURING OUT HOW WE CAN MAKE THIS WORK FOR ALL PEOPLE.

              * Palin also RAISED TAXES ON OIL COMPANIES after Murkowskis previous tax regime PRODUCED FALLING REVENUES in 2007, DESPITE SKYROCKETING OIL PRICES. Alaska now has some of the highest resource taxes in the world. Alaskas oil tax REVENUES ARE EXPECTED TO BE ABOUT $10 BILLION in 2008, twice those of previous year. BP says about half its oil revenues now go to taxes, when royalty payments to the state are included.

              * Recently, Palin APPROVED GAS TAX RELIEF FOR ALASKANS, and paid every resident $1,200 to help ease their fuel-price burden.

Her political enemies called all this superficial pandering.

              * Alaska is the only one of Americas states which borders on two foreign countries. Sarah Palin is CHIEF EXECUTIVE of our most important ENERGY STATE, one which lies only a few miles from Russian territory. She has negotiated sensitive agreements on fishing rights and other matters to keep the peace up there. She has also worked on important trade deals with other countries. She has received foreign heads of state and had discussions with them.

              There are many benefits to having Governor Sarah Palin on the GOP presidential ticket, and many of them have been already been discussed extensively by both new media and old in the few short days since John McCain introduced her to the GOP in Ohio.           JOHN MCCAIN - Naval Executive Experience / Leadership

          Every once in a while during the primary, we would hear someone note that John McCain had no executive experience, that he had never managed anything. That is not quite accurate; he has no executive or managerial experience in the POLITICAL REALM. He did, HOWEVER, have an EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP POSITION IN THE NAVY, and he will describe that today at his campaign stop in Jacksonville:

          JOHN MCCAIN: When I came to Cecil Field and eventually assumed command of VA 174, the LARGEST SQUADRON IN THE NAVY, the state of military readiness in the United States was very low. And my squadrons readiness was no exception. We had about FIFTY PLANES, and nearly half of them were in such bad shape they had been grounded. I was DETERMINED TO IMPROVE THE SITUATION, but I knew my own determination wouldnt be sufficient to do so. I struck a DEAL WITH MY SUPERIORS that if they allowed me to MOVE PARTS FROM ONE PLANE TO ANOTHER, before my tour was finished we would have every one of them in the air.

          No plan to restore the squadrons readiness could have succeeded without the extraordinary determination and resourcefulness of the PILOTS, STAFF AND CREW I served with. They numbered NEARLY A THOUSAND, and they were as highly committed, hardworking, innovative people as any officer ever had the honor to command. They worked diligently toward a common goal, and took pride in the achievements of a team and didnt view individual accomplishment as the primary focus of their energy. Of course, the squadrons purpose was to train aviators, but the men and women of VA 174 knew that they were serving a greater purpose: to demonstrate the resolve of the United States Navy to overcome the decline in morale and readiness that temporarily afflicted the military after the Vietnam War.

          On the LAST DAY OF MY COMMAND, my Executive Officer and friend, Carl Smith, kept my promise to my superiors and TOOK OFF IN THE LAST OF THE SQUADRONS GROUNDED planes. The plane was barely ready for the test and flew with its landing gear down. But we had achieved our goal. We had gotten every airplane off the ground, SET A RECORD for the longest flying hours WITHOUT AN ACCIDENT, and received the first MERITORIOUS UNIT CITATION ever awarded VA 174. The experience was the most rewarding assignment of my Navy career.

          There are many qualities to military service that make it such a special profession. But among the most important is the ABILITY TO GET THINGS DONE NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT, CONFUSED OR UNEXPECTED THE SITUATION. There is an old military maxim that battle plans never survive the first encounter with the enemy. Soldiers are taught to EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED and accept it, and revise, improvise, and fight their way through any adversity. That doesnt mean the soldier doesnt grumble or complain about unexpected changes in their fortunes, but they are TRAINED TO GET THINGS DONE NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES.

    I'm ready for a new set of lying mouths. Ones unlike McCain who a few months ago pointed out a few months ago that lobbyists are what's wrong in Washington and he would be the one who would throw the lobbyists out.

    Then, when he saw he was losing, McCain hired Rick Davis as his campaign manager. Rick Davis has received up to $35k/mo. (that we know of) from Fannie and Freddie from at least 2000 up to the present, lobbying Rs only against regulation of the practices that caused the economic crisis. Freddie continued paying Davis after he became McC's campaign manager. Freddie donated $250k to the R convention.

    I'm not giving McC any more chances to tell me lies. The lies the McC propaganda machine tells us about Obama are not as scary as the truth about McC.

    Along with the SDS Students for Democratic Society, Weathermen Underground, the Black Panther Party also actively opposed the Vietnam War. Barack Obama received the support of Southside Chicago Congressman and former Black Panther party member Bobby L. Rush during his bid for the Illinois US Senate seat.

    The Black Panther Party along with the Weathermen Underground prolonged John McCains captivity and caused him to receive extra beatings. It is ironic, that Bill Ayers led the antiwar protests during the Vietnam era that caused John McCain to receive extra beatings and to experience nearly six years of captivity, and today Barack Obama has been leading antiwar calls against the Iraq war.
    Barack Obama can not understand why John McCain is not happy that Barack Obama has not kept a distance from Bill Ayers.

    If Barack Obama had walked in John McCains or any of the other 600 American POWs shoes just one day, he would have no problem understanding why he should have kept his distance from Bill Ayers.
    The word shunning comes to mind. If Barack Obama would have shunned Bill Ayers and members of the Black Panthers Party this would not be an issue in the campaign.

    The Los Angeles Times is refusing to release a videotape that it says shows Barack Obama praising a Chicago professor who was an alleged mouthpiece for the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was a designated terrorist group in the 1970s and '80s.

    In a recent interview, Obama stated: What we know is that, in previous terrorist attacks - for example, the first attack against the World Trade Center - we were ABLE TO ARREST THOSE RESPONSIBLE, PUT THEM ON TRIAL. They are currently in U.S. prisons, incapacitated. And the fact that the administration has not tried to do that has created a situation where not only have we never actually put many of these folks on trial, but we have destroyed our credibility when it comes to rule of law all around the world, and given a huge boost to terrorist recruitment in countries that say, Look, this is how the United States treats Muslims.     Ask the legal officials during the 1990s just how cowed terrorists were by our continued indictments against them. Or, witness the bombings at the African embassies, the attack on the USS Cole, or the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. NOW, ASK YOURSELF why we have NOT BEEN ATTACKED since 9/11, and, even more specifically, why there have been NO SUCCESSFUL ATTACKS AGAINST AMERICAN CIVILIAN INTERESTS ABROAD SINCE 2004.

    7. Barack Obamas ECONOMIC POLICIES WOULD HURT THE ECONOMY. As Kimberly Strassel recently put it in the Wall Street Journal: Mr. Obama is hawking a tax policy that would take the nation back to the effective marginal tax rates of the Carter days. He wants to FURTHER TAX INCOME, PAYROLL, CAPITAL GAINS, DIVIDENDS AND DEATH. HIS PHILOSOPHY IS PURE REDISTRIBUTION.

    8. Barack Obama opposes drilling on and offshore to reduce gas and oil prices.

    9. Barack Obama is way to the LEFT of NARAL on the issue of life. As a state senator in Illinois, Barack Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, a law that would have protected babies if they survived an attempted abortion and were delivered alive.

    10. Barack Obama is actually to the LEFT OF EVERY MEMBER of the U.S. Senate.
    According to the National Journal, Sen. Barack Obama was the most liberal senator in 2007.

        You need to leave the past in the past and move on, if every republican was alike then we would not be re-elected someone else every 4 years. Stop comparing apples with oranges, Bush with McCain. This nation is facing a possible international crisis that will put the entire United States of America at risk; we do not need an inexperienced President in the oval office, without international/military experience and who has had "strong" associations with terrorist, criminals, and racist.

        The two biggest reasons that some people are not supporting McCain is, comparing him with Bush and looking to promises Obama is making that appeals to benefit their life personally. It is time for us to look beyond ourselves, our realm and consider the "big picture." Get over your self there are greater things at stake here! McCain/Palin 08

          McCain's voting record is 95% in accordance with what Bush wanted. That's too much like Bush for me.
