Bill Ayers and a Barack Obama connection.

Chicago has a tradition for bomb makers beginning with the Haymarket affair bomb that killed 7 police officers in 1886. The bomb was thrown during a May Day rally for striking workers. There is a statue in Haymarket Square marking the place of the bombings.

A Chicago native the Unabomber is now serving a life sentence at SuperMax Federal Penitentiary in Florence Colorado for killing three people with mail bombs. The Unabomber Ted Kaczynski grew up in the Chicago area, graduated from Harvard University before getting his PhD in mathematics from the University of Michigan, and then taught at U.C. at Berkley. The Unabomber received his moniker by targeting universities and airlines. Ted Kaczynski targeted professors at Northwestern University in Chicago and a United Airlines President with his bomb packages. As a radical leftist environmentalist, the fatal victims of Unabomber Ted Kaczinski included an ad executive for Exxon and a timber industry lobbyist.

McCain is disgusting. I can't wait until this election is over. I pray to God that he loses his seat in the Senate. He has embarrassed the entire country with his Karl Rove inspired campaign. Nice job Steve. Good luck with that resume. Maybe you could be a clerk for the skinheads.

I venture to say that the poster kellyjean has "struck a chord" with you and has pegged you very well, which has annoyed you. Howbeit that you make the assertion that their language is not nice while ignoring your own "very obscene" thinking and speaking traits is a tell tale sign of a self righteous person, meaning that they see themselves "right in their own eyes" and everyone else is wrong but them. Given the many post that I chose to site below is again, another tell tale sign that this is a way of life for you on a continuous basis that no decent person would align themselves to.

Additionally, your constant rants and barrage of affirmation of others that you apparently know on this blog is another tell tale sign of you sever lack of "self-confidence" and "self-esteem." It appears that the person you are fond of sighting with "your set" of deficiencies is quite assured in what they believe, think, and in their decisions, enough to stand alone in their quest and against you and others. My hat is off to "kellyjean," you however have nothing of importance for me to give consideration too. Touche???

What do you really know about Obama's economic philosophy? Since he has never run a town, state or business, he has no record to look at. Oh, he has made lots of promises, but given that he broke his promise to be limited to public campaign funds, you cant put much faith in that, and there will be no means to keep those promises anyway.

But you do know that Obama, along with his democratic buddies in Congress, personally and professionally advocated for a residential housing policy favoring forced sub-prime lending, which subsequently resulted in massive defaults and foreclosures, leading to your loss of significant equity value in your home, to the point that it destabilized your banks, which panicked the stock market, which wiped out your savings.

Look and listen to Obama for yourself. Obama in this video, addressing his community activist work and his work representing ACORN in litigation against the banks and relating to the Community Reinvestment Act, and addressing the failure of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as those actions relate to the destruction of our economy by causing the current real estate and subsequent financial crisis, states that, and I quote:

"Subprime lending started out as a good idea, helping Americans buy homes who previously could not afford to. Financial institutions created new financial instruments that could securitize these loans, slice them into finer and finer risk categories, and spread them out among investors and around the country, as well as around the world. In theory, this should have allowed mortgage lending to be less risky, and more diversified."

Acknowledging the catastrophe, but as apologist for the Democrats, Obama then offers this justification.

"The original idea was a good one, which was, lets see if we can distribute risk more broadly, and make it easier to provide loans to people who otherwise might not be able to get one."

Yah, great idea. Economically unsound, but embraced by Obama. Listen for yourself. You cannot dispute the mans on words recorded live:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr1M1T2Y314&feature=related

Below is a link to C-SPAN video clips of the Congressional hearings at roughly the time McCains attempt at S.190. to fix Fannie and Freddie. See for yourself who said what.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MGT_cSi7Rs

In the exchange with "Joe the plumber" we find learned that Obama really is as radical as his early political acquaintances, Davis, Ayers, Wright, etc., and that he is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Obama's tax and spending plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.

Bill Ayers the domestic terrorist and Weathermen bomb maker is two years younger than Ted Kaczynski the Unabomber, but both have Chicago connections and both received degrees from the University of Michigan about the same time. Bill Ayers received an undergraduate degree in American studies and Ted Kazinski received his Phd in mathematics from the University of Michigan a year earlier than Bill Ayers undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Not only a founder of the Weathermen Underground, Bill Ayers was a leader and organizer of the Students for Democratic Society SDS at the University of Michigan. Bill Ayers went on to get his Masters in teaching at Columbia in 1987.

Lets look at the educational credentials of each individual:

Ted Kaczynski, Unabomber: Harvard BA, University of Michigan Phd.
Bill Ayers: University of Michigan BA, Columbia University Masters in Ed.
Barack Obama: Columbia University BA and Harvard J.D.

It does seem curious that these three individuals each have two degrees and all the degrees for the three individuals only come from three institutions of higher learning, Harvard, Columbia and the University of Michigan. The timing is curious too. Perhaps there is a nexus further than Bill Ayers and Ted Kaczynski being raised in Chicago and Barack Obama having a strong connection in his early adulthood and all three going to these three universities.

The Unabomber Ted Kaczynski pled guilty in exchange for a life sentence. Ted Kaczynski said he acted alone. However, the question arises whether he received training or collaborated with anyone. Bill Ayers and Ted Kaczynski were both extreme leftist liberals who attended the University of Michigan together for three years. As a Phd student, Ted taught undergraduates and as a teaching assistant came into contact with many undergraduates. Bill Ayers was a gregarious student who founded the Students for Democratic Society at the University of Michigan. The question become whether two people who later both became bomb makers collaborated while at the University of Michigan regarding bomb making techniques.

  • Posted By: mccainsupporter @ 10/28/2008 8:53:32 PM

Why Bill Ayers is important to this campaign?

John McCain should make the argument personal and something that the American people can identify and understand. John McCain views Bill Ayers as a founder of the Weathermen and Weather Underground and also founder of the Students for Democratic Society SDS on the campus of the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan had held the first sit-in against the war.

John McCain and the other 600 Vietnam POWs believe Bill Ayers was responsible for prolonging the war and causing them to receive extra beatings by the North Vietnamese for refusing to show their exuberance for the antiwar effort in the United States. The North Vietnamese fought even harder and refused to negotiate or return our POWs given the organized antiwar protests in the United States. All the North Vietnamese had to do was wait and domestic antiwar protests orchestrated by Bill Ayers would cause the United States to surrender.

John McCain spent five and half years as a POW and personally received extra beatings because of Bill Ayers. Barack Obama views Bill Ayers as a reformed domestic terrorist who did despicable things in the past but should be given a second chance today. For Barack Obama there was never a need to keep a distance from Bill Ayers.
Maybe if Barack Obama could have walked in the shoes of John McCain for just one day and suffered just one of the extra beatings that John McCain endured for five and a half years because of Bill Ayers and his Weathermen antiwar movement then maybe Barack Obama might appreciate a need to keep a distance from Bill Ayers.

Obama is a liar and has lied to the American public from the start, associated himself with terrorists, and continues to deny his poor choices of "running" with the wrong crowd.

How can Americans be sold on a person that lies, is friendly with terrorist, and criminals? Obama no, 2008!

      • Posted By: sk47 @ 10/27/2008 2:57:46 PM

OBAMA IS WINNING, BETTER READ THIS AND CHECK IT OUT ON THE BBC SITE, BY NEWSWEEK.

Then, in the last week, the LIVs swung back to the default choice: John McCain.

Some had good reasons other than the colour of Obama's skin to desert him; many more did not.

In October, a study by the Associated Press estimated that Obama's race would cost him 6%. The percentage was smaller, but still enough to give the presidency to McCain.

Obama's field organisation was superb, so it was no surprise that most of the 18 million Hillary Clinton voters came home to the Democrats; the person-to-person voter contact (and significant resentment about the selection of Sarah Palin) made a big difference.

But the huge swathe of more than 30 million independents broke heavily for McCain. By piling up overwhelming margins in big blue states like California, New York and Illinois, Obama carried the popular vote, but he ended up like Al Gore in 2000 - denied admission to the Electoral College.

(CNN) -- Vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin likes to portray herself as an average American working mother.
But how many typical moms get $150,000 worth of merchandise from stylish stores and have strangers pay for it?

This week's revelation about the purchases was just one more surprise in the fast rise and apparent fall of the Republican Party's sudden superstar.

Remember, it was only two months ago that Palin was just the popular governor of Alaska, still an obscure figure in American politics. That changed in late August when John McCain chose her as his running mate.

Within days, she was generating the biggest excitement the McCain campaign had ever enjoyed, captivating the Republican Party, swelling the crowds at its rallies and drawing media coverage that overshadowed the Democrats.

One McCain advisor told me then that one of the practical problems she discovered as she criss-crossed the country was that she didn't bring enough clothes.

It seems her family didn't have enough clothes either, because suddenly there was some serious shopping.

A single visit to the fashionable department store Neiman Marcus cost more than $75,000, but that was only half of the total. The bills ultimately went to the Republican Party, which means that although they probably didn't know it, party donors paid for them.

Palin's problems go beyond clothes, though, to her very candidacy. In recent days, prominent Republicans, from former Secretary of State Colin Powell to Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan, have publicly criticized her lack of experience.

Ordinary Americans agree. An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll found that in early September, when Palin was just starting out as a candidate, 47 percent of voters had a positive opinion of her, compared to 27 percent who felt negatively.

Now 47 percent have negative feelings, compared with 38 percent who feel positively.

And the new poll found that concern about Palin's qualifications is voters' top concern about McCain, ahead of every other issue in the election.

Voting day is less than two weeks away and most polls suggest that Barack Obama is headed for victory. The surprise is that Palin went from being McCain's best asset to his biggest problem. And the Republicans don't have much time, or an obvious way, to fix it.

  • Posted By: labman57 @ 10/26/2008 12:25:04 AM

The McCain camp claims that their motivation behind attacking Obama has been to question his character, integrity, judgement, and leadership potential.

Well, if you examine the conduct of both candidates during the past month, there is no question about who has shown the character, integrity, judgement, and leadership potential necessary to restore our nation's standing in the world, resurrect our economic vitality, fix the broken health care system, and motivate industry to shift from fossil fuel to non-polluting, renewable energy technologies.

    Obama/Biden '08.

      • Posted By: 40YearR @ 10/28/2008 4:31:54 PM

Doc Howl, Sorry, I now see that my attempted joke was more than just a little obscure. I was trying to distinguish Palin's oil revenue redistribution from "Socialistic redistribution".

A blogger from another site said: "The extra $1200 we received this year was because oil prices rose so high that Sarah decided to pass these profits off to all Alaskans. Again, not walfare, PROFIT SHARING. Educate yourself before you flap your lips!"???

So now I'm wondering: Who paid those higher prices?... Why don't we just raise prices some more?....

But, of course, that wouldn't be "REDISTRIBUTION" would it?....Gotta go get educated...

        • Posted By: Doc Howl @ 10/28/2008 4:53:04 PM

The oil revenues were given back to the Alaska voters, hmmm?

Oddly enough, Alaska didn't turn down any federal funding that year. So basically, we paid their bills, and they got a little handout from Mama Sugar.

  • Posted By: GregAugustaGA @ 10/28/2008 4:24:08 PM

"Nowforthetruth" continues with the same stale postings around the Obama "Socialist" slogan. McC's word for the day is "redistribution".

While these accusations and innuendo continue, it is useful to recall what McC said when the Bush tax breaks for the rich were proposed:

During the 2000 campaign, on MSNBC's "Hardball", a young woman asked McCain why her father, a doctor, should be "penalized" by being in a huge tax bracket. McCain replied that "wealthy people can afford more", and that, "the very wealthy, because they can afford tax lawyers and all kinds of loopholes, really don't pay nearly as much as you think they do." The exchange continued:

Young woman: Are we getting closer and closer to, like, socialism and stuff?. . .
McCain: Here's what I really believe: That when you reach a certain level of comfort, there's nothing wrong with paying somewhat more.

McCain called the Bush tax cut for the rich "irresponsible" because it favored only the rich.

Eliminating that "irresponsible" tax break for the rich is not "Socialism", at least it wasn't before McCain sold out to the rightwing machine.

"Stale"? Asking pertinent questions of a presidential candidate is "stale"?

The lack of respect you Obama fans have for the institutions of state and the processes of democracy is breathtaking. Why would anyone who hates the USA so much even WANT to control it? Unless, of course, you wish to usurp it?

""Stale"? Asking pertinent questions of a presidential candidate is "stale"?"

Which part was pertinent? It was a pile of crap.

If McCain really wanted to win he would get some new commercials about:

    1. Pastor Wright - show the You-tube of the anti-American rant, the anti White sentiment. The GOP ought to tell the many, many folks who don't know about the Obama twenty year friendship!!!!

    2. Ayers, AYERS, AYERS - tell the folks about this radical dangerous scum-bag.

    3. Obama's dirty Chicago politics.

    4. Mrs. Obama's ugly comments about Americans and life in America.

    * the list goes on and on . . .

This man is running for the highest office in the country - propelled by the media and tons of $$$$$

In other words we are witnessing the shredding of democracy.

"In other words we are witnessing the shredding of democracy."

How does one follow the other? Because you don't like the obvious outcome?

Is McCain a slow learner or something? All he's done with his incessant negative campaigning is drive himself into the dirt.

And here he is, doing it again.

Er, ah "Nowforthetruth": In an earlier posting your exposition is that Palin is not a Socialist since she took money from the oil companies and redistributed it to Alaska citizens... It's not Socialism because "Alaska has no State taxes... It is not taking money from one person and giving it to another person."

So where did the oil companies get that money?

But I should fear Obama as a "Redistributor" and a "Socialist" because he wants to roll back a tax break for the rich that (before he sold out to the right wing) McC opposed and called 'irresponsible" because it benefitted "only the rich"?

Is your posting here directed to fears about "Socialism", or is it just innuendo, or are we trying to fold in a little racism too?

I've got an idea, since we have no more ideas, let's run our campaign on fear, smears and hypocrisy.

    Yeah, that's the ticket!

Keep talking "Nowforthetruth", you're really helping!

    A 40 year republican

Obama has 63 Nobel Laureates working on his policy team. They are developing a plan to push America back to the top. Who is responsible for McCain's planning? Americans would be shocked to find that Douglas Holtz-Eakin is the sole person responsible for planning McCain's policy for America's future. Holtz-Eakin is also McCain's economic advisor, filling two full time positions on McCain's team. How can one single man (an economist) be responsible for developing a viable technology plan for our future? Obama has an enormous pool of the most intelligent, talented men and women in America working for him. Soon, they will be working for US.

And let's not forget that the McCain campaign spent more on Palin's makeup artist than it did on it's foreign policy advisor. When you pay your makeup artist DOUBLE what you pay your foreign policy advisor, it is time to start examining your priorities.

You look just fine without makeup, John. And Sarah is young enough not to need any. So cut the crap, and start paying some good ECONOMIC ADVISORS so you can have a fiscal plan to present to America. We're in the middle of a huge global financial meltdown, and you are worried about hair and makeup? PLEASE start worrying about the middle class, John. Please.

Now there is proof. In the exchange with "Joe the plumber" Obama let it slip that he really is as radical as his early political mentors, Davis, Ayers, Wright, etc., and that he is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Now, an interview with Obama in 2001, mysteriously overlooked all this time by the main media outlets, proves this fact. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck

Obama's redistribution and restitution plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.
See Wall Street Journal: A Liberal Supermajority:

Indeed, some democrats are publically saying as much. See Barney Franks comments on the news, including face the nation last week, stating essentially that Democrats in Congress intend to greatly raise taxes and go on a spending spree.
