    Quoting Nins:

NowfortheTruth asserts that the goal of community organizing is to "redistribute wealth."

The real goal of community organizing is to assemble political power for those who historically have had none: the poor and minorities. Some community organizations exist to redress the fact that white banks have refused to loan money to black clients. If you want to call this "redistribution of wealth," go right ahead. The rest us will continue to call it racism.

And when it comes to discussing "redistribution of wealth" and calling Obama a socialist, it is time for you to rethink that strategy. You might be stepping into a huge pile of dog doo-doo, Now fortheTruth.

Did you see McCain on Meet the Press this Sunday? Tom Brokaw played two clips of when McCain was against the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. McCain sings the praises of "redistribution of wealth" and says "wealthy people can afford more taxes."

When McCain opposed the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, he said that he was taking a "principled stance." But when Obama opposes these same tax cuts, McCain labels Obama as a "socialist." Nice double standard, John.

Unfortunatly, Nins misquoted. Obama "said" it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck

And to remind you, this is what racism looks like:

        "Press Releases

AJC Strongly Condemns Rev. Jesse Jacksons Comment on American Jews
October 14, 2008 - New York - The American Jewish Committee (AJC) has condemned the Rev. Jesse Jackson's statement about "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades."
"Rev. Jackson's remarks, which appeared in an interview with the journalist Amir Taheri in today's New York Post, echo classic anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about Jewish power," said AJC Executive Director David A. Harris. "This statement, regrettably, is not the first troubling comment by Rev. Jackson regarding Israel, Zionism and the Jewish people.

Arguing as a private citizen that an Obama administration could bring significant change to U.S. foreign policy, Jackson was quoted as saying that "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" would lose much of their influence should Senator Obama be elected president."

And people are upset about what some in the crowd are saying at Palin events? Isn't this the same Democrat leader who once called New York "Hymietown" ?

John dosen't raise income tax rates on some so he can give their money to others who pay no income tax at all.

At a rally in VA, this morning, Gov. Palin promised a crowd that she and McCain would balance the federal budget by the end of their first term.

She went on to say that Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny would work together, along side w/ Jesus Christ, in order to find and kill Bin Laden.

    More to come............

"Nowforthetruth" continues with the same stale postings around the Obama "Socialist" slogan. McC's word for the day is "redistribution".

While these accusations and innuendo continue, it is useful to recall what McC said when the Bush tax breaks for the rich were proposed:

During the 2000 campaign, on MSNBC's "Hardball", a young woman asked McCain why her father, a doctor, should be "penalized" by being in a huge tax bracket. McCain replied that "wealthy people can afford more", and that, "the very wealthy, because they can afford tax lawyers and all kinds of loopholes, really don't pay nearly as much as you think they do." The exchange continued:

Young woman: Are we getting closer and closer to, like, socialism and stuff?. . .
McCain: Here's what I really believe: That when you reach a certain level of comfort, there's nothing wrong with paying somewhat more.

McCain called the Bush tax cut for the rich "irresponsible" because it favored only the rich.

Eliminating that "irresponsible" tax break for the rich is not "Socialism", at least it wasn't before McCain sold out to the rightwing machine.

no wet dreams here.............at all. Its like you when you wait with great anticipation only to find out it is not what you thought in the end, especially when you seen what I have seen come out of their lying mouths, turns out to be a huge "flop."

This just in today from Newsweek, WHY MCCAIN WON,

Then, in the last week, the LIVs swung back to the default choice: John McCain.

Some had good reasons other than the colour of Obama's skin to desert him; many more did not.

In October, a study by the Associated Press estimated that Obama's race would cost him 6%. The percentage was smaller, but still enough to give the presidency to McCain.

Obama's field organisation was superb, so it was no surprise that most of the 18 million Hillary Clinton voters came home to the Democrats; the person-to-person voter contact (and significant resentment about the selection of Sarah Palin) made a big difference.

But the huge swathe of more than 30 million independents broke heavily for McCain. By piling up overwhelming margins in big blue states like California, New York and Illinois, Obama carried the popular vote, but he ended up like Al Gore in 2000 - denied admission to the Electoral College.

    MCCAIN, A SOCIALIST?!?!?!?!?!!?

WOW!!!! I think McCain has forgotten his old beliefs. Sounds a little like...........hmmmm.........SOCIALISM!!

What a joke this guy is!!

  • Posted By: 40YearR @ 10/27/2008 2:42:45 PM

"We the people": You've bought into the McCain propaganda.

McCain's "tax plan' is to give more billions of tax breaks to oil companies.

Obama's tax plan will simply allow the Bush tax cut (which McCain called "irresponsible" because it only benefitted the rich) to expire for those who make more than $250k per year (after deductions). That will return the tax rate for those folks to where it was during the Reagan years.

The rest is propaganda. Why would you want to vote for someone who has deceived you about this?

"We are all entitled to our own opinion, but we are not entitled to our own set of facts". John Adams

The facts are there, notwithstanding the propaganda machine's efforts to the contrary. My post of 1:20 presents facts. The Rs are "out of ideas", and sold out to desperation.

But, your comments are insightful and constructive....

I believe the essential questions in this 2008 are these: Do we want to be a free people? and Are we better off in a government managed society? Freedom means that we are able to make our own choices
and in such actions we maintain freedom within American society as a whole. When government steps
in trying to "level the playing field" in an attempt to promote economic justice, our choices become somewhat restricted, channeled within a governmental array of options, none of which may be fulfilling.
Creativity, innovation, and flexibility are lost while an elite ruling class emerges. We have seen the results
of such societies in the not so distant past and in the present. This is not the democracy of our founding
      fathers which is lamentable indeed.

I don't understand McCain's tactics. His numbers start to inch up when he is taking the high road and everytime he starts running all these attacks his negatives go up. His campaign camp should have been fired a long time ago. He employed all the same smear mongers from Bush that defeated him in 2000 and he doesn't realize that times have changed and there is a new generation that dosen't liten to that stuff and people grew weary over that type of campaigning from 2000 and 2004. At one time I had respect for McCain, but that's gone.

GOP: We federalized credit. Nationalized the banks. Grew the National Debt and the size of government to their biggest size ever. Now emagine what that Socialist Obama will do!!

The links below to legitimate news sources that show that Fannie and Freddie paid many millions of dollars while the Rs were in control of the executive and legislative branches, lobbying Rs only, to prevent regulation of the financial practices that caused the global financial crisis.

One of the biggest recipients of those millions is Rick Davis, McC's campaign manager, who has been recieving up to $35k/mo. since '00 right up to the present. Freddie continued to pay Davis while Davis managed McC's campaign.

And Freddie donated $250k to the R convention.

These facts are everywhere in the legitimate news. You can start at http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/22/us/politics/22mccain.html and http://www.newsweek.com/id/164732/page/1 There's much more legitimate news on this.

Before hired Rick Davis, McC said that lobbyists were what was wrong in Washington, and that he would be the one to make sure they don't control our government any more. That was before he sold out. He doesn't say that any more because he hired one of the most powerful lobbyists, the guy who lobbied Rs, only, against against regulation that could have prevented this crisis.

We should now trust McC and his advisors to solve the problems their lobbying created?

The Rs still try to deceive us that it was the Dems' fault, and that we must fear "that one".

I was a solid McC supporter and voter until I found out about who paid whom millions to be allowed to loot trillions from our economy, and until I realized how McC sold out to the the most extensive and virulent propaganda machine I have ever seen.

mccains litany of political bluders and failures is to long to list yet here is an update on his so called strength...

    I am an American
voter that understands all to well that McCain advocated and pushed hard for the unneeded
war in Iraq that has killed hundreds of thousands of people while causing a million or so refugees to lose their homes their families while creating near 20,000 prisoners that have been jailed in prisons without due process- and now The American government doesnt have a clue what to do with them!

    McCain politically authored this crisis!
And this is supposed to be his strong suite?
How pathetic, how low, this is a fascist act! How can men stoop, to push their country into a war based upon subversion and duplicity and claim to be patroitic to do so!

I appeal to my American brothers and sisters- look hard into the mirror and ask yourself is this what America does, is this what we "one nation under god" stand for?

Actually bwlear I am very middle of the road in my political views, and am in fact a registered democrat. I am very concerned that the medica HAS NOT effectively addressed or investigated the full extent of Senator Obama's relationships with Ayers, Rev. Wright, or Rezko. If you are concerned about who sold their soul to Big Business you need to look at both parties involvement in the mortgage mess and economic meltdown.

      • Posted By: bwlear @ 10/27/2008 11:16:13 AM

And what do you expect them to discover after at least 2 years of looking? Do you really believe that the McCain camp has not attempted to disclose anything it has been able to dig up? Everybody knows that this is just a cover for not voting for Obama, which is your right. But if you are so concerned about past associations, why dont you take a closer look at McCains record? Who has he been linked with that has been convicted of a felony? I can name two people off the top of my head (Keeting and Liddy). Not to mention his birthday party on the boat with the now convicted ex of the simi-moviestar. How about courting of the man who said that "New Orleans got what it deserved" when Katrina hit and that Hitler did a great thing for Jews? Guess that dosent matter to you because Fox didnt report it. Your a Dem like I'm a neocon. NOT.
Just be real about what you believe and at least I could respect your integrity, even if I cant understand your reasoning. Dont hide your true feelings behind tired old lies and fake associations when your party has many more questionable cpeople to try to defend.

I am a democrate and I do not own a gun. I read and listen to different ideas. I am however fearful for our country. I am agreeable to a president of any color or gender. I am not agreeable to Obama's policies or his lies. And sorry, if you were able to carefully analyze the media, you would then note that they do not present equal sides. CNN is not that bad. OH NO....fox is the best! Vote McCain/Palin

What happened to the real John McCain?
The Obama Campaign has access to the many skeletons in Senator McCain's closet. The Obama Campaign only seems to take the last punch when cornered, but Obama's Campaign is magnificant, and mostly focused on real issues. No wonder McCain is loosing badly ... Silly Robocalls (people really don't want to hear the crap!!), Palin problem, disloyalty and rebellion, no clear message, etc. Too bad the McCain Campaign is so pathetic. Senator McCain is a much better person than this dismal display of destruction.

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA WILL SUFFER FROM THE "NOBAMA EFFECT???...TOO BAD...HE WILL LOSE!!

TODAY, AT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA'S DAMAGE CONTROL PRESS CONFERENCE HE ATTRIBUTED TO JOE BIDEN'S "RHETORICAL FLOURISHES" RELATING TO HIM NOT ABLE TO HANDLE THE PENDING CRISIS IF HE WERE ELECTED. OBAMA MADE HIS BEST ATTEMPT TO SPIN HIS WAY OUT OF THIS BUT THE ONLY PEOPLE BUYING THIS BS ARE THE NO BRAINS OBAMABOTS.

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA GOES ON TO PROMOTE HIS ECONOMIC PHILOSOPHY OF "SPREAD THE WEALTH AROUND" SO THAT HE CAN CREATE AN AMERICAN SOCIETY WHERE ALL CITIZENS ARE AS EQUALS AND ON A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD IN ORDER TO PURSUE PERSONAL PROSPERITY. WELL, IN OTHER WORDS BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA IS TELLING TO EVERY AMERICAN'S FACE THAT HE WILL BE "DICTATING" YOUR PERSONAL FINANCES. AND ALL YOU GUYS ARE EATING IT ALL UP.

THIS POLITICAL DOCTRINE THAT OBAMA WILL IMPLEMENT IS KNOWN AS SOCIALISM, MARXISM, COMMUNISM, OR WHATEVER TERM ONE WANTS TO USE...BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THIS IS AN AFFRONT TO THE FOUNDATION OF AMERICA...CAPITALISM.

TO IMPOSE THESE DRACONIAN MEASURES SUCH AS RAISING TAXES TO SUPPORT THOSE IN SOCIETY WHO DO NOT EVEN WANT TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES BUT OBAMA DECLARES "SPREAD THE WEALTH AROUND" WILL LEAD TO AN ECONOMIC ABYSS.

IS THIS THE IDEOLOGY OBAMA ADOPTED FROM HIS CLOSE ASSOCIATION WITH WILLIAM AYERS WHO ALSO IS A BIG PROPONENT OF MARXISM?

AMERICANS, IF INDICATIONS ARE CORRECT AND OBAMA GETS ELECTED, IT WILL PROVE TO BE THE THIRD TIME IN A ROW THAT AMERICA REGRETS WHO THEY ELECTED AS PRESIDENT.

AN OLD WISE MAN ONCE SAID ..." BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR ...."
