What you all missed was the fact that Stan Smith works for the CIA not the FBI. Jeez, this is more important than this stupid presidential race.
He needs all the help he can get, especially form the comedians. He is an extreme socialist, of the worst kind, in disguise (Obama says anything to get elected), with the biggest well-fare system, big spending, big government-control, more regulations, and as a result less and less freedom for American people. We all who work will be punished or taxed to pay for well-fare, and finance his spending. He is only moving backward, as the re-incarnation of Jimmy Carter + George Bush, and will cause deeper recession, or even a Great Depression. We need an experienced and qualified "engineer" who knows the machine well, from inside out, to FIX it properly, and not an amateur rookie lawmaker like Obama, with a tissue paper-thin resume and no life-time records or government-achievements. Joe Biden is right, there will be a major international crisis during the next 6 months, and Obama is not prepared or fit to deal with it, or the seasoned leaders such as Vladimir Putin of Russia, or other leaders form North Korean, China, Pakistan, Iran and Israel. America deserves better than that, and we are smart enough to recognize the real thing. Maybe Joe Biden or Michelle Obama will be our presidents in the future (Back to the future?), as Barack Obama is a smoker, and he may get lung-cancer or throat-cancer (?) Is it America's destiny?
The odds that Obama will get cancer in his mid-40's are low, but the odds that McCain will have a health crisis at 72 are, high, and McCain has already had cancer.
There was a major international crisis at the beginning of Bush the Younger's first term - you may remember, it was called 9/11? For all of Bush's supposed experience, he certainly didn't handle it well, did he? He is still a deer caught in the headlights - that's why comedians make fun of him.
'Experience' would seem to be highly over-rated - it certainly hasn't done anything to help George govern.
Although looking objectively at Obama's experience, he has survived cutthroat Chicago politics and won the democratic nomination by beating what was billed as a well-oiled Clinton machine. Seems he is pretty capable of stamina and victory, not bad qualities in a president who has to go up against guys like Putin.
And let's not overlook what growing up black in white America teaches you - survival skills. Obama managed to get through Harvard Law, even making it to the Law Review. Brains and people skills - some more good qualities in a president.
On the other hand, McCain, according to his latest book, chose to drop his bombs rather than ditch his plane. He ended up in a POW camp for 5 years, yet he still claims he knows how to "win wars."
Huh?
Here's a guy who would rather drop bombs than survive - not sure we want that kind of 'experience' having access to nuclear weapons.
No, I'll take Obama's survival skills, brains and stamina, plus his history of hard-fought victory, over McCain's capture and his urge to drop bombs any day.

With polls showing a tightening race for the White House, it looks like the Catholic vote again may be crucial to the outcome.
And an Oct. 23 poll records a startling 20-point swing this week among Catholic voters in favor of John McCain.
The IBD/TIPP daily tracking poll found Republican candidate McCain ahead of Democratic presidential candidate 48%-39% among the Catholics in its survey.
The shift was part of a strong overall swing toward McCain in the IBD/TIPP poll.
???McCain has cut into Obama???s lead for a second day and is now just 1.1 points behind. The spread was 3.7 Wednesday and 6.0 Tuesday,??? a press release stated. ???The Republican is making headway with middle- and working- class voters, and has surged 10 points in two days among those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. He has also gone from an 11-point de???cit to a 9-point lead among Catholics.???

Palin is so funny on SNL. She likes to compete in the various pageants. especially the talent portion. This has been good for America. A good laugh. But , why does McCain still use Joe the fake plumber? All the plumbers I know hate this false representation. Why is McCain throwing Bush under the bus? He never did anything to McCain. America will start a new future. Even if we are in trouble, we can face it together.
To Dr. James: Geez, just how "low information" is this board? I'm a staunch Obama supporter... I agree with your representation of 'Joe the fake plumber', but I had to laugh at your characterization of Bush "never did anything to McCain." Look at the 2000 republican primary to see what Bush did to McCain...the absolutely lowest, sleaziest, most false campaign in American history (by Bush AGAINST McCain!) up until McCain decided to use the same untruthful tactics against Obama. Please DO vote for Obama, but do so from a base of knowledge which can withstand scrutiny and attacks. Ignorant voters are the bread-and-butter of McCain's campaign, and your false belief on this single issue (on which you are wrong) is just one truthful revelation away from voting for McCain once the truth of this SINGLE issue is shown to you. I am grateful for your support for Obama...he is MOST DEFINITELY what I believe this nation needs for the next 8 years after the same dark period of G W Bush's terrible reign... but I hope you will educate yourself more thoroughly on WHY Obama is imporatant for this nation. Issues like taxes, health care, education, our global standing, habeus corpus/constitutional issues, things that go to the very HEART of our nation's current DEEP problems. And then, if/when questioned, you'll be able to proudly state your KNOWLEDGEABLE and INFORMED support for the man who will lead this nation out of the tragedy of the republican catastrophe. Your post came across as uninformed, and BEGGING to be contradicted and your vote changed by having a single misunderstanding corrected...EDUCATE YOURSELF! I honestly believe that only Obama can POSSIBLE turn this country around and get it back on track, I'm glad you do too...please research to see WHY this is true so that when questioned, you don't change your mind...it's REALLY IMPORTANT in this eleciton!!!
I think comics are generally moderates who goes for the worst in people, the bumbling fool, the oversized egos, the misinformed, the extremist, blah. Obama will provide rich material for comedy if he's like George Bush or Sarah Palin. But he's a different kind of politician, one who can be said to seem honest, humble and sincere enough, oh my god, can that actually be possible ? A sincere president ? We'll never know till he's elected. So to the extreme conservative, serious Republicans, loosen up, there's hope yet because who knows, he can be the laughing stock like George Bush was if he's not what he seems to be.
In this video, Obama, who claims he has "no ties with Acorn" notwithstanding the $800,000 paid to an Acorn group during the primaries, is campaigning at a convention of Acorn and I believe two other Community Activist's organizations. Ask if he will be their ally if he becomes President and pledge to meet with leaders of Acorn and the others in his first year, Obama says, quote:
"Yes, but let me say that before I even get inaugurated, during the transition, we are going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda."
See and hear it for yourself. Obama promised that Acorn and a couple of other groups like it will setting his agenda if elected even before he is inaugurated:

I believe that comical political commentary is a healthy and desirable part of our politics. The reasons given in this article, for satirists largely avoiding targetting Obama are dead-on... he has proven himself to be in America's best interests, will determinedly strive for them, and it is NOT right for America...nor will it be widely appreciated, to try to cast doubt on the "real deal"... as long as he remains the real deal. Keep a healthy skepticism, absolutely, humor and FAIR mocking helps me see truths I may not have otherwise seen, but low blows...well, we've just had MORE than enough of those provided in this campaign...if it doesn't speak to a widely-observed truth, it will be rejected and condemned, and the messenger along with it. Keep it above-the-belt and NEVER mean-spirited, or those who engage in (or support) such tactics will find themselves derided and mocked and ignored, instead of their intended target. It's hard to mock a really good man with really good intent and truly noble efforts for his nation, and I suspect Obama will be a tough one for satirists to mock much, aside from just mannerisms and speaking style, and perhaps a few controversial policy decisions...which will be common-sense enough to be mocked at satirists' own peril. To the satirists, I say...bummer, sorry he's not a Bush or a Cheney or a Palin or a McCain or even a Clinton or a Biden... all rich lodes of comedy... but be FAIR to him, or you'll earn this nation's wrath. Unfair mocking will earn my...and many other American's, wrath, in a time of great national suffering and need for unity and progress out of the deep pit of problems we currently find ourselves in. Do it right, and I'll laugh with you (much as I did at the bad-form "bowling'' poster of Obama I saw recently, that said, "I wanna bowl with the gangsters, but they all think I'm too white and nerdy.") But those who take cheap shots at him, will have my eternal contempt.,,and satirists who ignore the ENORMOUS popularity of Obama and his vision and message and goals, do so at their own peril.
THE DESPERATE REPUBLICANS ARE AT IT HOT AND HEAVY THIS WEEK.
For eight years, Bush and the republicans have conditioned America to be afraid and live in fear. They are now playing Americans for all they can get out of that fear card.
Fear and smear is how the republicans gain POWER and CONTROL OVER THE PEOPLE. LIES, DISTORTIONS AND EXAGGERATIONS are the tools they use to accomplish their purpose. This is what we are seeing right now.
If they make it, once again when the election is over, all the peon voters will be cast to the wayside and power, money and indifference to the middle and lower class will reign once again. We will be stuck for four or eight more years of the past.
I reject these false qualifications for President. I reject the abundance of lies, distortions and complete anti Obama fabrications which are condoned be the McCain campaign and appears on this and other web sites.
No talk on the economy, health care or any of the other issues with respect to what it takes for ordinary people to live and prosper in the reality of day to day.
Only attacks with concocted false relationships on Obamas character, even though the major news organizations have concluded that no real relationships existed or does exist.
HOW MANY OF YOU WILL AGAIN ALLOW YOURSELVES TO BE USED AND MANIPULATED IN THIS WAY?
I for one will NOT bow to their fear. I will NOT vote for the dishonorable one who attempts to GAIN THE PRESIDENCY BY PLAYING US FOR FOOLS THROUGH LIES AND DECEIT.
I will vote for the one who seeks the Presidency VIA THE HIGH ROAD WITH VISION, A COMMAND OF THE ISSUES AND A GENUINE CONCERN FOR ALL PEOPLE IN THE COUNTRY.
Fascinating that the world has changed so much that, it is the Black Obama who is more educated, articulate, better dressed and more world wise than the White Old man McCain.
The same way China is soon to be the worlds super power.

I'm sure once Obama's elected he'll have plenty of time to develop a comedic following. But how can you blame the late night talk show hosts, satirists, and SNL folks for zeroing in on Palin, Bush the Younger, and Bill Clinton when they provides such rich material? The temptation to make fun of them is simply too great when they continually exhibit symptoms of foot-in-mouth disease.
If you notice, they don't spend a lot of time picking on McCain other than swiping at his age - which he has no control over - because although he's done some sad things this election cycle, in general people respect his POW experience, even if they don't agree with his politics.
And they don't spend much time on Biden, because why make fun of a guy who already admits he's capable of being a goofball? No sport, there.
If you don't want to be the butt of jokes, don't do or say dumb things while you're trying to be serious.
So far, Obama hasn't. But he will and when he does, he'll hear about it.
Seem's like the polls are focusing more for Obama's victory and democratic control of our goverment... I can't wait for them to win so we can collect and "spread their wealth" from the liberal rich in hollywood, billionare like Bill Gates, and hollywood millionares. I want to have free medical insurance for me and my family, hand ne check monthly so we can stay home and enjoy life... from the pocket booksof these wealthy groups who supports Mr. Obama like Oprah Winfrey. I just hope they won't change their minds comes election day.
You did so well under Bush and the stingy, cold-hearted, trickle-up Republicans, eh?
Can't wait until the democrats control our goverment so they can "spread the wealth" from those hollywood millionares, liberal rich media, and billionare like Oprah. I just hope they don't change their minds comes election day because I get tired working every day just to pay my bills... I want to taste the 'New American dream' welfare and taxes more from the rich so I can live like them even a little taste of welfare or socialism the Democrats way, not by earning your money the hard way.
You list a bunch of wealthy Dems, left out the Titans of industry like Warren Buffet and Eric Schmidt of Google, though. All hard workers and strivers,
So what are you so bitter about and what don't you understand about the tax plans? If you make under $250K, you get a break. If you make more, you'll pay what folks did in the '90's -- remember the good old '90's? Started out with a recession from the first Bush (Republicans always leave us with a recession or a depression) and then Clinton;s brilliant treasury Secretaries set the stage and created an environment conducive to investing. INvest we did and brought about an unparalleled prosperity.
I'm looking forward to the next boom, won;t be too ling, 3 years, maybe sooner!

2001 Chicago Public Citizen Radio Interview criticizing the Warren Court as not radical enough for not pursuing redistribution of wealth.
Says that community organizing is for the purpose of assembling the political power to force redistribution of wealth.
Tina Fey and Palin's own side by side appearance on SNL when she had never been on Meet the Press may be the biggest reasons Palin slides back into the slime of obscurity she came from . If you're new and fighting to be taken seriously, the last thing you want is derision and to be made to look silly.
We may also be exhausted from the viscous satire and the self parody of our soon to be former president of the last 8 years and just want a leader we can look up to for once -- no malapropisms,no catastrophes, no blue dresses, no scandals, no dysfunction. It's been 56 years since we had a ticket without a Bush, Clinton or Nixon on it.
Maybe we can continue to target those who deserve it such as Michele Bachmann, Joe Lieberman, Lindsey Graham, Orin Hatch, John Boehner, Saxby Chamblis, John Cornyn, Pete Stark, William Jefferson (with the $90K in his freezer), Steve King, Joe Baca, (who called a fellow congresswoman a "Whore") John Murtha, Sarah Palin's mentor Ted Stevens, you get the idea.
My goodness, poor little harley called me a bitch. Well, I am a 54 year old white male - I suppose that must make me a bitch is his/her/it's eyes. I am so glad Osama has it on his side!
Poor little "harleyishere" - I'm sure she is just a little girl.
