    THE GREAT BUSH DEPRESSION
I follow an economist named Bob Proctor. He has called the top and bottom of every market crash since the 70s correctly.
He perfectly predicted the current meltdown and the picture he paints about what will happen next
is terrifying. He thinks it will be worse then the great depression.
The banks in the U.S. are going under one after the other. Countrywide ,Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch , Fanny and Freddy Mae ,AIG
The government took them over because they are bankrupt. Even with the goverment nationalizing hundreds of billions of dollars in debt the stock market is crashing
the credit markets are frozen and all of us may suffer beyond anything seen in generations
McCain just like Bush " doesn't understand the economy".
That not just my opinion its his own words. Not only does he not understand how to fix it but he does not understand how its been broken.
It is no surprise that he doesn't. The people that make up these securities use quantum mathematical models very few people understand.
Bush and McCain both can take the credit for this mess since they helped deregulate the laws that were protecting us.
Bush's economic advisor Phil Graham wrote the deregulation bill that allowed banks to take huge risks with all of our future.
Now, Phil Graham is the head of McCain's economic policy. He is also McCain's choice for the next secretary of the treasury.
No one in this country can afford for that to happen. The last time Bush met with his economic advisors was in March. He was the last to know somthing was wrong. Phil Graham had the guts to say that we are in a mental recession after he helped create the worst economy meltdown in our lifetime. Check out this link to the truth http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideo
It will take the best and brightest minds in the world to get us out of this nightmare. As bad as Bush has done, McCain would be
even more destructive because things are in much worse shape. The next president will not inherit a budget surplus like Bush did but a crashing economy and a 11,600,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars deficit. Most of it Bush created and it will take decades to pay it back.
If you do what you have always done then you will get what you have always got.
When it comes to policy Bush and McCain are the same 90 percent of the time.
So why are the polls even close then ?
Mccains team just said they no longer want to talk about the economy.Instead they would like to spend time talking about obama
which means running the biggest smear campaign in history.
They think they can just tell you lies and you wont be smart enough to see through it
Let's teach him we are smarter than that
Stand up and hold them accountable
Bush isn't on the ballot this year but his policies are
    Elect Obama Biden 2008

Check out this video of sarah palins interview and ask your self if she understands what she is talking about.

Comment: Obama has 63 Nobel Laureates working on his policy team. They are developing a plan to push America back to the top. Who is responsible for McCain's planning? Americans would be shocked to find that Douglas Holtz-Eakin is the sole person responsible for planning McCain's policy for America's future. Holtz-Eakin is also McCain's economic advisor, filling two full time positions on McCain's team. How can one single man (an economist) be responsible for developing a viable technology plan for our future? Obama has an enormous pool of the most intelligent, talented men and women in America working for him. Soon, they will be working for US.

And let's not forget that the McCain campaign spent more on Palin's makeup artist than it did on it's foreign policy advisor. When you pay your makeup artist DOUBLE what you pay your foreign policy advisor, it is time to start examining your PRIORITIES.

You look just fine without makeup, John. And Sarah is young enough not to need any. So cut the crap, and start paying some good ECONOMIC ADVISORS so you can have a fiscal plan to present to America. We're in the middle of a huge global financial meltdown, and you are worried about hair and makeup? PLEASE start worrying about the middle class, John. Please.

Now there is proof. In the exchange with "Joe the plumber" Obama let it slip that he really is as radical as his early political mentors, Davis, Ayers, Wright, etc., and that he is into the failed economic policy of wealth redistribution. Now, an interview with Obama in 2001, mysteriously overlooked all this time by the main media outlets, proves this fact. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck

Obama's redistribution and restitution plans alone would be bad enough, but add Reid and Pelosi to the mix, with the three of them controlling both houses of Congress and the executive branch without any effective restraint, and you have something that should causes concern even among moderate Democrats.
See Wall Street Journal: A Liberal Supermajority:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122420205889842989.html

Indeed, some democrats are publically saying as much. See Barney Franks comments on the news, including face the nation last week, stating essentially that Democrats in Congress intend to greatly raise taxes and go on a spending spree.

    Can you read and understand?
McCain stated and believes in a progressive tax..

It's when you raise the tax even higher so you can fund giving money to those who paid NOTHING in income tax that's when its redistribution, get it?

Our income taxes are supposed tp be paying for the operation of the GVMT NOT giving my money to someone who did not pay anything. Is this concept beyond fact check? Maybe they should run it by comprehensioncheck.org first so it can be explained to them.

Who is bested suited to lead in these difficult times? The two candidates have had to deal with both a major presidential level decision and a global crisis in the past couple months.

We just witnessed as good a side by side crisis test as you could ask for. Both candidates had to respond to the global financial meltdown, which John's campaign manager Rick Davis called "the worst financial crisis in our nation's history." It was John McCain who was late to recognize what was happening and then couldn't figure out how to respond. He made a dramatic show of suspending his campaign because he knew he needed to seize the initiative politically, but then didn't seem to have any coherent position once he took charge. It doesn't inspire confidence when you say you're going to do something and then back down within days.

On the critical matter of selecting a VP who would step into the Presidency in an emergency, John McCain gives us an unintelligent mediocrity without knowledge or experience in national and international issues. Palin clearly was chosen to fire up the religious right base, but she has little appeal to the vast swath of America. Obama's VP pick is Sentor Joe Biden, who clearly has foreign policy chops and could legitimately step into the Oval Office should the need arise.

John's horrendous POW experience did nothing to prepare him for the job of president. A captive soldier must cope with a situation in which he has no control and can decide nothing. A President of the United States must make good decisions over and over again. Barack Obama has demonstrated the intelligence, calmness and good judgment we so desperately need in a leader for these troubled times. He has been tested repeatedly in this marathon campaign and he has risen to meet every challenge, sticking to his message of hope and change, and not falling into the low-life mud slinging we have seen from McCain.

Obama has better judgement, better temperament, better manners and better ideas that John McCain. I'm a middle-aged white female Christian Republican, and I am voting for Barack Obama.

NowfortheTruth asserts that the goal of community organizing is to "redistribute wealth."

The real goal of community organizing is to assemble political power for those who historically have had none: the poor and minorities. Some community organizations exist to redress the fact that white banks have refused to loan money to black clients. If you want to call this "redistribution of wealth," go right ahead. The rest us will continue to call it racism.

And when it comes to discussing "redistribution of wealth" and calling Obama a socialist, it is time for you to rethink that strategy. You might be stepping into a huge pile of dog doo-doo, Now fortheTruth.

Did you see McCain on Meet the Press this Sunday? Tom Brokaw played two clips from 2001 and 2003 when McCain was against the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. McCain sings the praises of "redistribution of wealth" and says "wealthy people can afford more taxes."

When McCain opposed the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, he said that he was taking a "principled stance." But when Obama opposes these same tax cuts, McCain labels Obama as a "socialist." Nice double standard, John.

The doo-doo gets deeper, Now for the Dog Stuff on my Hoof.

    • Posted By: EveryoneHasBias @ 10/27/2008 2:28:35 PM

Federal Income tax, maybe, but to suggest that 40% of Americans pay no taxes at all is simply not true. There are sales taxes, social security tax and many other taxes rolled into the cost of things.

  • Posted By: 1easylay @ 10/27/2008 12:11:50 PM

You people really are clueless about how the poor live. Since I was porr once, I'll fill you in.
First, most of them pay 30-40% more for groceries, prescriptions and other necessities. See................they have no cars and sometime no $ for the bus, so they HAVE to go to the corner store, or "Bodega" and pay $3.79 for a stale loaf of bread, or $6.29 for a gallon of milk that will expire in 3 days cause it's old, it might even expire in 1 day. They will pay $4.99 for a pound of greening 73% ground beef that's probably a week old cause THEY DON'T have a choice. They can't afford to go to Waldbaums, King Kullen, Safeway, Koroger's or Wal Mart. And they pay sales tax on it, too.
Most smoke or have alcohol problems so they pay alot of "sin taxes" for what helps them get through the day. AND, there's the good old PATDAY loan at 499% interest cause they have to choose between UTILITIES OR FOOD and can't borrow from friends cause they're broke and have no credit cards or access to credit unions. They pay multiple fee's and TAX on this, too. The poor who work on the books have taxes taken out every pay period, like you do. They might get it all back at the end of the year, but if they're only making 14K for a family of 3 or 4, do you really have a problem with that???????????
I hope you will take into account everyone's well being and not just your own. Obama will help people making under 250K, which is a GREAT MAJORITY and the poor might make otu a little better, but if you were living like them while banks get bailed out, you'd be OK with getting it, wouldn't you??????
McCain will bend over for the wealthy, like all Republicans do. Have a heart and vote the evil party out. Remember, the Repugs pushed the Credit Card reform that takes away your second chance through Bankruptcy and guarantees the banks WE'RE bailing out all the blood they can get from the poor working class.

    • Posted By: bosco123 @ 10/27/2008 2:00:59 PM

just curious, how did you get out of the poor status?

      • Posted By: KJintheQC @ 10/27/2008 2:57:39 PM

Thanks so much for posting another set of reason for voting out the Republicans in office. I was a loan officer for a respected finance/banking company and was laid off due to lack of business in our area. I was burnt out after over 10 yrs in the business and seeing a whole lot of fraud. I was lending prior to 2000, prior to the deregulation of the banking/lending industry. Qualifying for a mortgage was a bit tougher and the product selection was not as vast. Then by 2003, I was receiving emails everyday from wholesale lenders, advertising easy loan products that required very little documentation or credit guidelines that were made very flexible to qualify more borrowers. Katy-bar the door!!!
The "Graham, Bliley, Leach Act" should be remembered and recited for all to remember on Election Day.
Phil Graham crafted the damn bill that enabled lenders to do more "creative financing" that allowed more borrowers into homes. That is when lenders really pushed the ARM (adjustable rate mortgage) loans to low credit scoring borrowers. The idea was, the rate was fixed for two years, long enough hopefully to clean up credit and refinance the loan prior to the rate adjusting after the two year mark. This is just one example of an ARM loan. The problem with that is twofold, credit and valuation of home value.
Credit may have been cleaned up, however the home value is no longer there, and the borrower cannot refinance the loan and is stuck with a rate that keeps adjusting--up! Or the borrower can never get a handle on their credit and is turned down from the refinance process. They are stuck with the higher adjusting rate loan and no where to go, but foreclosure. The latest unemployment indicators contribute to these factors as well. Most people want to keep their homes and pay their mortgages, however due to the job or income loss, they are now unable to pay, even a fixed rate mortgage!
So, thank the Republican senators that crafted this deregulation when you vote. Vote them OUT!!
Phil Graham still works for John McCain and has never been fired or let go from the campaign.
Do people really want this guy for Treasury Secretary???????????????????? AHHHHHHH!!!

    Do NOT forget:

The republicans DOUBLED the National Debt in the last eight years. That is a $5,000,000,000,000.00 increase.

There is where the spenders are.

Remember, in 1992 the republicans were saying the same thing about Clintons policies as they are about Obamas now.

And Clintons policies created the best economy of the last 50 years, CUT the National Debt and handed Bush a SURPLUS.

Also, Obama has stated any new spending will be paid for with cuts.

    Time FOR SOME STRAIGHT TALK!!
Okay, I'm a Republican by ideology. In fact, I???m a rare breed of Republican ??? I???m highly educated, smart, insightful, successful and very cultured.
I???m QUESTIONING that out of all great GOP leaders in our party, the BEST CHOICE was McCain ? And Palin?
McCain is an OLD fool that does not seem to be in his right mind. McCain cannot even keep his own set of lies straight, or even seem to know where or what he is doing at present !
And for his judgment, just one word ??? Palin!
    Come on, Palin !
Palin is a train wreck; SPIN any which way you want she is a HUGH mistake!
Palin is an embarrassment to professional women, the state of Alaska, the GOP and to America.
Is this the BEST my party can do?
WHO EVER is running the show at the GOP, needs his/her head examined?
AND FOR THE RECORD G.W.Bush is much more qualified to be president than McCain or Palin !
Bush was just a little stupid, and that???s not a crime in America, because if being stupid was a crime then 93% of people in America should be locked up !
One final word, I cannot believe that the GOP has become so BADLY misguided that the ONLY SUPPORTERS we really have are the WACKOS and FREAKS !
Only a couple of years ago, those were the types of people we called Democrats, and NOW there are Republicans ??? the losers of society !
Colin Powell, my apologies, I was anger at you, but NOW I understand you !

So Republicans are all over Obama about taxes. What's new? Republicans have a problem with the Democratic control. Why? Because A Democratic Congress will make American NORMAL AGAIN! The wealthy won't get the breaks Republicans have given them for the past 20 + years. Large corporations that have not paid taxes will now have their Republican loopholes removed! The money used for the wealthy and big corporation will be used for everyday Americans. That???s wonderful! The Democrats will make the so called ruling class pay more! Can't wait!! Politicians that have scrupulous like Sarah fly the family everywhere will be accountable for their wrong actions. Americans want their politicians held accountable. Americans want fair completive bidding processes. No more of this Halliburton Cheney corruption and deception... No more of the Bush Family, Bin laden Family Carlisle Group behind closed doors secret dealings. No more of the Oliver North McCain secret military type of operations. It should be noted that Oliver North is a big McCain supporter. Wonder why? Enough of whining Phil Graham and yes sir Lindsey Graham... McCain's buddies. If the Democrats were to get 61 senate positions they could make Joe Liberman a true Independent! Wouldn't that be nice?

    Short Story Explaining Economics
    David R. Kamerschen, PhD

"It's just a tax cut for the rich!"

But what does that really mean?

Let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand.

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner and the bill for all ten comes to $100.

If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
    The fifth would pay $1.
    The sixth would pay $3.
    The seventh would pay $7.
    The eighth would pay $12.
    The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do.

The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until on day, the owner threw them a curve.

"Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20."Dinner for the ten now cost just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?'

They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to eat their meal.

So, the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

    And so:

The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to eat for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.

"I only got a dollar out of the $20,"declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man," but he got $10!"

"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than me!"

"That's true!!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!"

"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for dinner, so the nine sat down and ate without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

Terrorist: hiding the AIP story, Liddy, Iran-contras....
Acorn: hiding the 2 republicans doing real voter fraud & W Va tactic of switching votes, ownership by republican of voting machines and Neil Bush connection, purging rolls.....
Anti- American: hiding the 8 years of betrayal of Bush, Cheney, Rove....
Socialist: hiding the necessary reversal of Bush tax cut & Palins appropriation of private land for sport complex....
Re-distribution of wealth: hiding the trillions given to top 5% and Palins re-distribution in Alaska of 3200/person after hiking oil companies taxes.....
Tax and spend: hiding the last 8 years of partying republicans companies were enjoying...

The press is giving McCain and Palin a free ride on this issue but Americans will not and will talk very loud on NOVEMBER 4TH!

When will you people realize Clinton came into office in one of the biggest economy booms in history. Whoever wins the election will most likely win a second term because they will be given a economy that is already in its early stages of correcting. America will then think it must have been the president and elect him again, McCain or Obama. Clinton said the same thing himself.
