    Every economic recession this country ever had including the great depression came at the hands of the republicans. If you don???t believe Google "us recession" write down the dates and see who was president. not very complicated

    It takes lots of people spending money not just a hand full, swapping out their Mercedes for Bentleys.

    As far as cutting the top corporate for rate for Monopolies it just going to make them a larger monopoly also bad for the economy.

    Give me $1,500 back in taxes I'm spend $3,000 because I hopeful things are going the right way. 200 shoems like me do that, and then you can swap out your Mercedes for a Bentley

    Don???t be greedy.

      Here is an economics 101 lesson for you: It takes nearly 10 years to see the actuall effects of an economic policy. Thus, what we see happening today is the result of Clintion economic policies not Bush policies. Case in point: The biggest cause, noted by most major economists, of the current financial meltdown is a credit crisis caused by bad mortgages. Where did these bad mortgagescome from? Bill Clinton skirted normal procedures and fattened Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. He wanted everyone possible to own a home whether they met stanard lending qualifications or not. It was the expansion of the Community Reinvestment Act. The lending bar was lowered to allow people to qualify for loans that they would not be able to repay because to make it work adjustable rates had to be established. The idea was that when the payments would begin to go up under the ARM the people would have bettered themselves and they could afford the higher payment. That didn't happen because these people did not take responsibility for their finances and allowed easy credit to put them in a financial bind. Now the mortgages are failing and somehow that is Bush's fault. Interesting that the Democratic Congress called in the heads of Lehman Brothers and AIG but not Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. And who is the beneficiary of millions of dollars in donations from Freddie and Fannie? None other than Barack Obama.

      The problem with referring to www.factcheck is that it is an Obama operative organization begun by the Annenberg Project which Obama has a heavy hand in. You liberals are like the mice in the pied piper story and Obama is the piper. When he disparages our Constitution and the Supreme Court and equates America to Nazi Germany (his words recorded in 2001 - not someone "making things up") how can he say he cares for this country. His run for President is for personal benefit. Hopefully, if he is elected, our nation can survive four years without him ruining ur way of life too much. What he wants to do in America failed in the Soviet Union and has failed everywhere else it has been tried. Our way of life has thrived for over 230 years. No other form of government can say the same thing. Is ours a perfect system. Of course not but it sure is alot better than anyting out there.

    I have a question for the people of the United States If Obama does not spend all of that 600+million on election did not all the under the table donations from GOD only knows where turn him into a multi millionaire.He wants to really help the economy then why don't he put that excess money he recieved toward balancing the budget. You will not see him do that will you. But he is your savior right. he is not people JESUS would have gave that money away to the poor. He is not the Massiah wake up.

          Actually they have traced millions to illegal overseas donations. If Obama is so honest, why is he the only one who refuses to release information on ALL donations, even the ones you don't have to? McCain has. If Obama is so honest, why didn't he make sure that his campaign donation system would prevent violation of federal law by accepting donations from foreigners? Obama is nothing but a plant for Islam to take down the only nation who has truly stood for peace and freedom and who stands by Israel, the Muslims greatest enemy.

    How can our Presedent Bush get any leway with the democratic majority in the white houe. His hands are tied. If you think Obama is a person to lead you are all in a dream world. He can't handle the things to come. We need a president who can lead from day one and go on with our president Bush. Kep our troops safe and give them safer and more equipment to keep them safe. I feel they should be our number one priority now. Electing Obama is a grave mistake for our soldiers and our freedom.

    I belong to the county Republican party, but this McCain is NOT the McCain I have known in the past. When he chose Sarah Palin,first of all, I thought "is he kidding?? Who is this person and do not tell me she is "experienced"--at what? come on----Alaska? And now--why has he seemingly prostituted himself to win the presidency with half-truths, innuendo and outright blatant lies about his opponent? This negative campaining was exactly why i had been supportive of McCain against Bush years ago. I will be voting for Barack Obama next Tuesday!!

      Yes, even a bigger con than the tax lie Clinton pulled off 16 years ago. He did the same thing... only the "class envy" benchmark was set and 150K, and then dropped from there. A month after taking office, he simple said he was so sorry, he couldn't give the tax cuts he promised. Instead, however, he gave us all one of the largest tax increases in history, and made it retroactive no less!

      Note: Last year, both Obama and Biden voted to increase taxes on people making over 42K.

      Please don't fall for this again, people!

      Well, there is audio tape proving that Joe Biden DID say $150K. And when all the companies that get taxed at a higher rate and decide to move overseas, I guess we will have more people who won't have to pay any tax or will get money from a system they have not paid into, The American ideal is to encourage competition and improving oneself. The only winners with Obama are the people who are too lazy to get off their butts and do something called work. His plan is no different then the failed experiment of the USSR and many other socialist states. The government cannot keep giving more and more away to people. People need to be responsible for themselves. To quote the last great Democratic president this country had, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." Obama's cry is let your country do for you so you don't have to do for yourself. And if you HAVE been doing for your country by working and paying taxes and achieving and hiring employees, we are going to stick t to you for some more because we want to spend your hard earned wealth to those who are too lazy to earn a living.

    Of course Factcheck is going to make these claims. It is an arm of an organization Obama worked with for years, the Annenberg project. "Journalists" need to be reminded that they are to report news not spin. They are to tell the story with no underlying bias. It is interesting that all the news polls show Obama ahead by a large margin yet the truly independent polls show it a close race. When you look at the samples used by the media polls it is understanable why the numbers are what they are. One state showed a 10 pointlead for Obama. What was the sample rate? 39% Democrat and 30% Republican. That makes up for the majority of that "10 point" lead. During the Cold War we complained about the propaganca being fed the people of the Soviet Union. Well, the media today is not different, just liberal propaganda trying to make people believe that if they vote for McCain they are oting for a loser. Well, if Obama wins the losers will be the American people when our freedoms are taken away.

    If Obama is so honest why does he refuse to produce a real vault copy of his birth certificate. A suit is pending before the Supreme Court and eight stats including CA and FL have suits against them t validate his birth record or remove him. People of Madrassa, Kenya have stated that he was born in Kenya not in Hawaii. The birth certificate on fightthesmears.com has been proven to be a fraud (you can even see the 2007 watermark on te paper). He is lying about his birthplace and is actaully an illegal aliean as he has never taken an oath of allegiance to the country. In 2001 he stated that our Constitution was "seriously flawed" and also said the U.S. was just like Nazi Germany. Why is it Hezbollah and Hamas are endorsing him? Why is it Ghadfy called him a Muslim? Is it possible that he is a plant to help the Muslims take over the one nation who has stood by and supported Israel on the Muslims way to world domination?

      After further analysis, it was a Roman Catholic school. So you really think obama received Muslim training at this school? It's like these friends of mine who are Jewish and Catholic. Evne though the father is jewish the children attend Catholic school. once Obama reach adulthood he chose a christian religion and has attended a christian church most of his life.. In the early 1960's When I was young I would get slapped by the teachers when I spoke spanish to my mexican friends. I don't want tp return to those days of public racicism. So leave the muslims alone. There's bad apples in every society or religion. look at the far right conservatives. htey're supposed to be so religious but their hatemongering belies their true character.. since Mccain and folloers have noviable programs that are different from Bush then you have to resort non issues. This time its not going to work.The Republicans are going down for the count because of their own mistakes

          Yes I'm defensive. But I'm also tired of the lies and inuendos being thrown about with reason. Obama has done some ads using niontruths..but these were about Mccain's stances on the issues. There's nothing to hide just afraid as hell that people will belive the personal attacks. I can't belive still believe he's a Muslim at this late date in the race, but that's because Mccain and especially sarah keep repeating it over and over again. Many people will believe it's true just because it is repeated. they figure if weren't they couldn't say those things, as if there were a great censor in the sky. the only way to keep them honest is to rebut any trace of it when it appears.
