'Unethical?'

OK after reading this story i find it leaves out one major fact. The obama campaign has spent more than anyone else in the history presidential campaigns on negative adds. Of which the vast majority are misleading or just plain untrue. Come on news week, lets report the hole story not just a part that happens to meet your political ideals.

Brydges, thanks for pointing out how many ignorant less-than-human people there still are in our great country....most of those are the 24% that are still supporting Bush, you included. And really....people....why are we so afraid to adopt Universal Healthcare...it works quite well in England...trust me, I spent a night in the ER...so refreshing to not even be asked about money...to get top quality care....and given money for a cab when I was one......so we have to pay higher taxes......guess what people....thats how things get paid for

I have to admit, Obama has a better tax policy than McCain. Obama wants to increase the capital gains tax rate to 20% from the current 15%. I just read that McCain intends to try to reduce the capital gains tax rate to 7.5% from the current 15%. I don't know about you, but I have very little capital gains. What I would like to see is a repeal of the 15% tax rate on dividends; dividend income should be taxed at ordinary income tax rates. I don't know about you, but I have very little dividend income. What income I have is mostly wages. How about reducing the income tax on wage income? People have to work for wages and they pay ordinary income tax rates on that income, but if you are wealthy and you buy stocks, you get a nice, reduced tax rate for your dividends and capital gains. Seems to me, the easy no-sweat income should be taxed at a higher rate, not lower.

Obama admonished McCain for trying to use a hackett in "freezing spending" when you needed a scapel. 44% of the 95% Obama is promising a "tax cut" to do not pay any income taxes today. Many of these may need the money but how many of these 55 million people are receiving someone else's money that are not by definition the needy or handicapped. How many are lazy, how many are dealers that don't report income,...? This is nothing more than redistribution of weath with a hackett vs a scapel.
