I have many catholic friends, and they too protect themselves from witchcraft.

Religious pecans, acorns, pistacios................................
Good one...
Lisa & Andrew are Theologians or are they regurgetating selected opinions? How sad that we have allowed the media to take us down a path so far from the First Ammendement.
Ok. I see the standard. Slam Palin for attending the church. And then when she decides to attend a different church, SLAM her stated reasons for doing so. You people are a bunch of !@#$%^& BASTARDS!
Palin's bizarre medieval ritualistic anti-witchcraft center could hardly be called a "church"--only perhaps in the loosest definition of the term.
I do not believe I saw the words, "bizarre, medieval, ritualistic, anti-witchcraft center," utilized in the article. One more "self-generated opinion" of what was written...<snicker> Kudos to the writers...your work is having the desired effect on the mindless minions of the country, such as jeremy here!
I did not vote for Sarah Palin, however I do believe that this nation has to repent and turn its eyes again on our Lord II Chron 7:14. If we do not we will be judged just as the nation of Israel was.
I find it interesting the tactics that have to be used..Giving the video the title of Palin saved from witchcraft gives the appearance she is allready involved in it. However the caption itself states that she is being blessed three years ago........and that a vsisting minister prayed for her protection from witchcraft. I believe the only reason the title was used was to take advantage of the fact which is stated in your article - a majority of American believe in witchcraft. It is also that time of year when it is in the forefront of most peoples' minds because of halloween. Again the media uses tactics which are not condusve to presenting the truth.
Many of Obama fans are of the Hollywood liberals and big money, how may "religions" are there in his little circle? We live in America, freedom of religion was what our country was founded on and Christianity, which is that God sent His Son, Jesus, who died on the cross for all sinners, and He rose agian, and that He is coming back! It requires accountability to Him alone, not perfection, no one but Jesus was perfect. Many of
Obamas fans and Obama himself will talk up Jesus, but they believe He was a prophet, perfect prophet, even the devil himself acknowledges Him, but they do not have faith in Him as their Savior or even think they
are sinners and need a Savior. So go belittle Obama's religion and his fan's and you will have lot more of your dirt to publish!
Running this story less than a week before the election shows the bias of the mainstream media. It isn't necessarilly the content of the story, its the timing. I think it shows how biased the media has been in this election for Obama. How about a story about Obama attending a church for 20 years, listening to Rev. Wright and his radical liberation theology with his racist and anti-American tone less than a week before election day?
Time for Sarah to play the discrimination card, which Osama wouldn't have wasted any time doing. Oh, but wait, your a white, patriotic the the US, non-muslim woman. In the media's eyes that play is reserved for Obama Bin Laden the only one credible enough to ever really be discrminiated against. Did everybody forget what happened last time a Socialist promised change during a similar downturn in another nations economy. Nobama is leading the American people like lambs to the slaughter and they are willingly following. Must have taken some notes from Hitler's playbook.
I can't believe that you are questioning Sarah Palion's beliefs. The fact that a video exists should prove her beliefs. Obama's beliefs change with the wind or each time one of his supporters makes a politically incorrect statement.
AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!!
Many Christians believe that witchcraft is ???spirit??? or if that word makes you uncomfortable, sort of an ???unseen motivator??? surely you believe in things you cannot see? This unseen motivator causes us to do things that are sometimes hurtful to ourselves and others. Christians attempt to identify where they ???spirits??? or ???unseen motivators??? came from and then they label them so they can get rid of them. Witchcraft is often said to bring the unwanted actions of, ???domination???, ???manipulation??? or ???intimidation??? ??? more simply put; control. It seems like Sarah???s pastor was trying to identify this ???unseen motivator??? before harm was done, instead of waiting until someone was suffering. People who don???t believe in spirits often cannot understand why they do the things they do and often seek counseling or therapy. Christians will often go to a prayer meeting or ask for prayer and very often without even knowing the person, a pastor or teach will pick up on this ???unseen motivator??? or ???spirit??? and ask the ???spirit??? of Jesus to remove that hurtful ???unseen motivator???. Sounds simple but God is not too complicated. I am a Christian and I have a passion to gap the bridge between believers and non-believers; we all do live together and I know we seem strange sometimes, thank you for bringing coverage to this area, I had no idea Governor Palin was a Christian.

HOORAY HOORAY FOR SARAH PALIN. MY KIND OF WOMAN, ABSOLUTELY. THOSE WOMEN WHO PUT HER DOWN, FOR WHATEVER REASON, BE IT HER RELIGION OR HER CLOTHES OR HER GLASSES OR THE WAY SHE WEARS HER HAIR ARE JUST PLAIN JEALOUS OF HER. ADMIT IT YOU WOMEN--YOU ARE JEALOUS OF HER. REMEMBER THAT CONFESSION IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL--IF YOU HAVE ONE THAT IS.
Are you serious. Jealous? She is the reason I am not voting for McCain. I was very excited about her being a running mate and thought she might have everything going for her.....until she opened her mouth and I started reading. Doesn't believe in science? Doesn't worry or believe in climate change? Witches and demons? It goes on and on and no, I am not jealous!!!
I'm still waiting for the probe into Barry Obama's religous beliefs, including his 20-year relationship with Jeremiah Wright's church. No, wait, such an examination would be considered unfair, out of bounds and racist. It's amazing how committed the media is to elect Obama. They have discarded all pretense of objectivity. They no longer have any credibility; it's no wonder their ratings and readership are in such a death spiral.
Nice factual article. Everyone should see this to know what Sarah Palin is all about. We have more to fear in her than the rath of God.
Perhaps if you would start attending a church like that and praying to God about everything (because you are allowed to do that) You would see life from a different perspective. Try it, you have nothing to lose! It is a blessing that Palin has this kind of faith and is not ashamed of it.
So why is a story like this, questioning some aspect of Gov. Palin's religious beliefs being posted on your website when nothing of the sort has appeared questioning Sen. Obama's 20-year relationship with the Rev. Wright? The man behind Gov. Palin is described as praying "loudly, relentlessly and with an intensity rarely seen in America's mainstream churches". You pitch that as a negative for Gov. Palin. What about the taped sermons of Rev. Wright that Sen. Obama sat under for 20 years? Do they not fit and even exceed those characteristics? You should be ashamed to exhibit such hypocrisy.
It scares the bejeezez out of me to think this woman could be president while believing in end-of-days scenarios. What happens when she's got her finger on the button and decides it's God's will? It would be nice to have full seperation of church and state, but with all the candidates being religious freaks, it's going to be tough. We need an agnostic to run for office - except they would never get elected because half the country are religious freaks. And although churches do some good work helping homeless, etc, the only thing organized religion has ever done is start wars.
Really? This passes for news? Look at the root word in "News"; it's "new." Find something new.
Regarding belief in witches, it is very important to know how many people out there actually believe in witchcraft and believe they are practicing effectual rituals and practices that are intended to alter the lives of other people, often in very negative ways. In this respect, regardless of whether Palin believes in broom pilot witches, certainly she would accept prayer and public outreach for acknowledgement and protection from those people who would intend negative influence and harm towards her.
People on this blog are accusing the liberals of digging up dirt on Palin. I think that is pretty funny. Just as many conservatives are against Palin, and for pretty much the same reasons that the liberals don't like her.
Furthermore, if the liberals want to injure Palin's reputation, they don't have to dig. She has already been found guilty of abuse of power. (The committee that found her guilty had ten Republicans and four Democrats.) And Plain's stirring up the base with lies and hatred, well, that kind of nastiness speaks for itself.
Nobody has to try to make Palin look bad. She is doing a great job of making herself look bad. All you have to do is watch.
Nins, I stopped reading your post a long time ago. Your liberal bias shows big time. In fact, you must be part and/or memeber of the Elite Media.
In fact, to steal a quote from you:
"Nobody has to try to make Nins look bad. She is doing a great job of making herself look bad. All you have to do is watch."
Actually, Alabama, I am a conservative Christian Republican. I am sickened by how far Bush and Rove have gone from the true ideals of the Grand Old Party. And face it, Obama is a far better candidate than McCain. If Romney had gotten the nomination, or even Huckabee, I would still be voting Republican.
Religion is the opium of the world. Jesus es verbo no sustantivo.
I trust this author, of the article on Sarah Palin's church history, has or is writing a similar article on Obama's church history. I have visited the website of Obama's church and I am very concerned about the fact he was a member of this church for twenty years and claims he was not aware of the beliefs of the church. I am not comfortable with a man running for the highest office in the land who blindly follows a church without verifying its doctrines and beliefs.
In the spirit of what is right and fair an article needs to be written that discusses the beliefs of Barack Obama.
